Life isn’t all sunshine and love like they tell you as a child. Life is about pain and sometimes love doesn’t stand the test of time.

Member of the Powder River Pack, werewolf Derek Sumerland had found his one true mate after tragedy struck at an early age. Annabelle Daniels was his everything until she wasn’t.

And now he lives his life with the daily reminder of the fact he didn’t fight for her or go after her when he should have. His heart is wrecked; his chest is forever in a vice and yet, he somehow finds a way to go on with his so called life.

Annabelle left her past with a broken heart. She did her best to never look back until her estranged father began to edge closer to his death bed.

Even with thoughts of Derek, it is guilt that pushes her back to Fetterman, Wyoming. She didn’t expect to see him and certainly didn’t expect to find a handsome, angry man where the young man she loved stood.

He wasn’t lying when he said she was the one.

Annabelle must decide between the love of her life and the life she has worked hard to achieve.

Can they have a second chance?

Romance author Brooke May spends her days writing whatever her overactive imagination has brewed up and her evenings reading while she works alongside her mom. Telling stories is second natural to her, from a young age she has told anyone who would listen what she had thought up. Now, a mom of two, she splits her time writing, playing with her kids, and of course, hiking, hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling in her beloved Bighorn Mountains.

While on maternity leave with her youngest, Brooke was putting laundry away when she looked at a poem she had written in high school that was framed in her son’s bedroom. That poem triggered the idea of My Cowboy and soon she was sitting in front of her computer with her infant next to her writing her first love story that wasn’t a fanfiction.
