Finding Love (Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy Book 2)Finding Love by Julie Navickas

Rachel and Miguel are just fantastic together. We meet them both in the first book of this trilogy and they haven’t disappointed me at all. I adore how they interact and their playful witty banter. I couldn’t stop smiling during the trip to the Zoo and the events that happened at the restaurant late that day. This book is every bit (if not better) as good as the first in the series. They can be read as a stand-alone, but you will want to read the first book anyway so JUST Go for it.

When we start this story in the trilogy, we are met with Rachel and Miguel. I am falling in love with this author’s writing. Her characters really make you feel with them. Relating with Rachel was refreshing because we have all had those relationships and what not where we feel stuck but know it is not the end. I cannot wait for the next story in this trilogy.

Neither of the main characters, Miguel and Rachel, seem to have luck in the love department. Rachel has been stood up by her latest date at Pier Ninety-Two which Miguel owns. They had met previously when her sisters engagement party was held there. He is getting over a failed relationship and feels that he’s ready to put himself out there again. They hit it off over mushroom ravioli and wine. Could this be the happily ever after they have both been looking for?

The excitement that ran through me when I finally got the chance to read this book was insane! This is the second book in the Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy, and I had been looking forward to picking it up for some time now. Though I will definitely sing the praises of the first book and recommend that you read them in order, you could get away with reading this one as a standalone if you would like. That being said, the author does have recurring characters throughout her books so you will get a better experience with reading them all. I love the author’s writing style and have started to pick up more of their books. Rachel and Miguel may just be a couple of my favorite characters now. They are both relatable and something about Rachel pulled at my heart quite a bit. Miguel is such a sweetheart and makes the perfect book boyfriend in my opinion! If you are in the mood for a contemporary romance with emotional pasts and wonderful chemistry, look no further than this book. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!

Finding Love (Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy Book 2)Finding Love by Julie Navickas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We met Rachel and her boyfriend Ian in book 1, while her brother Ryan was handling meeting the love of his life. In book 2, we meet her again after she and Ian have broken up. Her history with men is abysmal, but she still holds out hope. In an effort to get back in the saddle, she agrees to a meet up, but he doesn’t show. When Miguel spies her at Pier Ninety-Two after being stood up, he offers to cook her dinner and they share a few bottles of wine while their attraction to and chemistry with one another grows throughout the evening. After going back to Miguel’s place together, they are both forced to confront themselves and their own emotions and pasts to see if there’s really a chance for them.

As in book 1, the character building is fantastic and the books are quick reads full of people and interactions that seem familiar. Lots of emotions, plenty of chemistry, nice heat between the two of them. Great reactions between characters and laugh out loud moments. Looking forward to book 3.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ryan and Tess are both people with pasts that were unlucky in love and haven’t found much reason to trust it again – until they meet one another and their chemistry and attraction for one another is off the charts! They rapidly enter pretty serious feelings for one another and bring everyone in their vicinity along for the ride. Their true emotions and fears involving relationships come to the surface and need worked through in order for them to grow and become what each other needs to really reach true happiness.

Character building was superb – I loved the interactions amongst them and it feels like familiar friends with their chats amongst one another. I liked meeting the future MCs and getting to know them the way Tess felt familiar to me from previous books, as well. I laughed, I cried, I cheered.

After saving her brothers relationship, Rachel is unexpectedly greeted with the end of her own relationship. While she wasn’t in love with her now ex-boyfriend, Ian, the breakup itself still hurts all the same. When she tries online dating, again, and is stood up by her first date, she is lucky enough to meet the owner of the restaurant, Miguel, and spend time with him. The pair discovers that they are neighbors, and that they have a lot in common. Their relationship moves quickly, until Ian decides he made a mistake in letting Rachel go, and tries to get her back. Rachel has no interest in this, and when Miguel walks in on what he thinks is Rachel kissing Ian, the pair must figure out how to fix their relationship and work through their different problems to make it work. This is book two in the Clumsy Little Hearts trilogy, but can be read as a stand-alone.

Book two was just as great as book one!!! I loved both of these cute contemporary romance books. Such a wonderful series. Movies please!! I can see it now!!! Book two is about Rachel and Miguel’s relationship. Rachel is a real estate agent who just got dumped and is currently waiting on a date from a dating app. Miguel is a restaurant owner who has his own trouble finding love. When she’s stood up she decides to order and have dinner anyway. Ryan has to break her heart and let her know that the one thing she ordered they are out of. Promising her something just as wonderful and making it up to her is just the start to their flames. She agrees but only if he eats with her. And their story begins! And boy is it wonderful. Cute, funny, and of course steamy. But you know how these things go. The harder she tries with men the harder she falls. Will she this time? I can’t wait to read more from this author. She builds their story so well. You get to see other characters (that I am hoping she will also write about later) around them. Friends and family. You can really picture these stories.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book 2 in the Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy. This is another contemporary romance about two people who have problems and heartbreak in their pasts that makes it hard for them to love again.
This is Rachel Prescott and Miguel Rodriguez story.
Rachel is forever going for the wrong guys. Everyday she goes into starts off with so much promise and hope but they always end in failure.
When another date turns into a failed attempt Rachel is left alone at the restaurant Miguel owns.
After making them both food Miguel sits with her and the attraction is instant.
Can they overcome the pasts failures, self doubt, expecting the worst, worries and fears of another heartbreak to give each other a chance?
This is a beautifully written story. I really connected with Rachel and I understood her always waiting for things to go wrong with Miguel after all that’s what her past has taught her to expect.
I’m excited for the 3rd book in the trilogy as this authors writing is so captivating I just get lost in the story that is being told.

Finding Love (Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy Book 2)Finding Love by Julie Navickas

Finding Love is the 2nd book in the Clumsy Little Hearts trilogy. I read the 1st book, but it’s been a bit, and I don’t fully remember all the details. That being said, this book can (and was) enjoyed as a standalone. There are overlapping characters, but is a solid story with enough details of the backstory to fill in the reader. This book was a little… Spicy… so mature audiences only. Rachel and Miguel are both single, with different circumstances. They meet when Rachel is stood up by her blind date at the restaurant Miguel recently came to own. As they start talking, they realize they have actually met before. They have some mutual friends which makes things a little interesting… and both have trust and jealousy issues. But, if they can work through those, it seems like a match made in Heaven. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Finding Love (Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy Book 2)Finding Love by Julie Navickas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was book two in the series, following Rachel and Miguel. I read the first book as well but I’ve gotta say I loved this one more. The characters are all relatable. Rachel gets dumped by her latest bf, Ian (who was never good for her anyway) and she takes it a little harder than she planned to. She meets Miguel at pier 92 after she is stood up by someone else, and sparks fly immediately. She is a little hesitant about moving on so quickly, especially when Ian reappears and tries to get her back in a totally a-hole way. But she knows deep down that she is happier and better off with Miguel. Miguel is dealing with some past feelings as well that never became anything big, just a crush on someone he couldn’t have. Can they both overcome their pasts and insecurities and make room for each other’s future?
Miguel is the perfect book boyfriend (bringing her soup when she was sick even when she tries to push him away). And I liked finding out how all the characters in the books are connected in one way or another. Can’t wait to read the third book with Rose’s story.

Finding Love (Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy Book 2)Finding Love by Julie Navickas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book! And I was more than excited to realize that Finding Love is a spinoff series of one of my favorite series I read. This author knows how to tell a story and bring two characters together. I’ve enjoyed the previous series so much that as I was reading this one it wasn’t clicking right away on why the restaurant name sounded familiar. I was wracking my brain till about 25% of the way through and it all clicked. This author is amazing and you definitely don’t have to read the previous series this book spins off from. But I recommend you should.
Rachel was dumped. By a guy she didn’t really see herself with. She was having fun, well so she thought. The break-up was hitting her harder than she imagined. After a quick talk with her twin brother she decided to put herself back out. Yet only to be disappointed again. Or was she?
Miguel is struggling. His business is successful but extremely short staffed. Feeling like he’s letting his previous own/friend down, he stumbles across a stood up Rachel who he’s about to give some more bad news to. Deciding to make her a special dish and spend the evening at her table he realizes she’s a wonderful person. Even better when he finds out she’s his neighbor.
But there’s some looming issues in the past that they both need to let go of. His are more twisted amongst mutual friends of theirs.
What will happen?
Does the past come back to haunt them?
Or does Rachel and Miguel end up having a whirlwind romance?
Com’on you know as well as I do that none of these books are simple. But they keep you turning the page. Giving you hope the right decisions are made.
I look forward to more books by this author in the future!

Rachel Prescott has the worst luck in men. She always gets attached to them and then they leave. Rachel thought she had the right guy finally but all of sudden he leaves her as well. She meets a nice owner of a popular restaurant but she is very cautious of him. Rachel begins to have very strong feelings for Miuel but she is not ready to get her heart broken once again. Will Rachel finally get her happy ending or will the past ruin it all?

Finding Love is the second book in the Clumsy Little Hearts series by Julie Navickas. This is a nice romance story and was an easy read, I have not read the first book yet and this did not take away from the enjoyment of the book. The story follows Real Estate Agent Rachel, who is recently single after her boyfriend breaks up with her, and restaurant owner Miguel, who is struggling to make his vision of his new business a reality. When the two have a chance meeting at Miguel’s restaurant, the sparks fly, and the romance blossoms between them. However, there are aspects of both of their pasts that are getting in the way and might mean that they struggle to get their happy ever after. I liked this book, I found the characters to be endearing and I enjoyed the dynamic between Rachel and her siblings. This book hinted at what was going to happen in the next installment and I am looking forward to seeing how Rose’s story plays out. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy a nice romance.

Finding Love is Book 2 in the Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy and I loved the story of Miguel and Rachel. This story gave me all the feels of unexpected love, romance, friendship, some heartbreak and a little bit of drama….I feel so invested in these characters and I was rooting for Miguel and Rachel through their entire journey.

Rachel has had many fail relationships, not finding Mr. Right. Her last breakup, had her contemplating if she was in love or even missed him. When Rachel is stood up on a date, Miguel is there just to have conversation and being there since he is the owner of the restaurant that she is at. Miguel and Rachel have this instant connection that is beautiful….but between Rachel’s past of finding all the wrong dates and Miguel holding on to a love that he was not ever going to have…they work together to build a love between them, but when the past comes back and unkind and hurtful words are said……will Miguel and Rachel find their way back to each other where they belong….

I highly recommend this story…definitely read this series from the beginning to get to know the characters…..I am eagerly anticipating book 3…I cannot wait…..

Finding Love is book 2 of the Clumsy Hearts Trilogy by Julie Navickas. After Rachael Prescott’s sudden breakup with her boyfriend Ian, she finds herself a bit lost. Ian says that they are too different and that she lives for everyone but herself. When she gets stood up she finds herself having dinner with Miguel. Could this be another chance for love? This book was very sweet. Although I liked Rachael in book 1, I think she hits her stride in this book. In book 1 she seemed more like the bratty but well-meaning sister. I liked how smitten she and Miguel were with each other. They had a fun, comfortable, and safe chemistry. They were just perfect for each other. I enjoyed seeing Ryan, and Tess again. It was also fun seeing the ongoing sibling relationships. This cozy romance was a nice continuation of the series.

What an amazing second book to the Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy! I loved following Rachel’s story, especially after watching all that she did for her family in the first book of this series. She deserved to find her happily ever after, and definitely not with Ian, her boyfriend from the first book. This was such an excellent read, it was intriguing, had very dynamic characters, and is a continuation of the story right where we left off in the previous book in the series. What a great job Julie Navickas does at working her magic in creating characters that pull at your heartstrings and then continue to draw your attention as they grow in character and humility. There are so many developments for all of our characters, the focus does not stay just with our two mains, but we get to continue to follow along with the love stories of our past characters. I am so excited to go back and read the other trilogy that the author had written, especially since we get to know the side character’s stories and some of these characters’ backstories that are hinted at throughout these books. What a great find this series was for me, it’s a great contemporary romance with just the right amount of romance to keep it fresh but not overly spicy.

I was able to read the Clumsy Little heart books 1 and 2 back to back, and while I definitely prefer being able to do that, I do appreciate that Finding Love, book 2, could easily be a standalone. There are definite references to material from book 1, but nothing that was imperative to the story being read independently.
I really enjoyed the author’s realistic take on relationships and their problems, for better or for worse. Both Rachel and Miguel fell quickly into a relationship and while they had a quick honeymoon period, they also quickly found moments of insecurity and jealousy which happens in most new relationships. A fun, quick and easy read, filled with entertaining moments and endearing talk with a bit of steam. Looking forward to book 3!

The second book in the series was just as good as the first! I got to learn more about Rachel, Ryan’s twin, and her story. Ian and her broke up and now she is back trying to find love. She doesn’t have a great history with men and starts on a dating app again. When she is stood up on a date, the owner of the restaurant steps in and makes her dinner. They talk and get to know each other better and she realizes this is not their first encounter. Miguel introduced himself at her sister’s engagement party months before. He is the new owner and is intrigued by Rachel. After dinner and a few bottles of wine, he takes her home. He is excited about spending time with her but is he over the woman he has been pining after for years, he doesn’t know. These books seem to be set in a small town because everyone seems to know each other, even outside of the family, but it is set in LA. The characters are like friends and the stories are so easy to connect to. I can’t wait to read the next one to see what happens with Rose and Cole.

Finding Love (Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy Book 2)Finding Love by Julie Navickas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The second book in this trilogy gives up updates on the leads from book one while taking us on a journey in the life of Rachel.

She was abruptly dumped by her boyfriend at the end of book 1 and now she’s trying to overcome that loss. No one else liked him (well, except for Tess) so they aren’t super supportive. She goes on a dating site and finds someone she’d be interested in. The date is set at her favorite restaurant. She ends up being stood up by her date. Then, the appetizer she’s wanting isn’t available. Nothing is going her way until Miguel shows up.

Miguel is having a rough day too. The kitchen help isn’t paying attention to the temperature of the oil and he’s having major flashbacks. Then he goes to tell a patron that her appetizer isn’t available and next thing he knows, she thinks he’s her date. Long story short, Miguel makes up for the lack of calamari and makes his mushroom ravioli a day early. Miguel joins Rachel for dinner and the start of a new relationship is blooming.

I’m loving this series so far and look forward to book three! The challenges these couples face are real ones experienced in today’s world. I almost feel like a part of this large family!

This is the second book in the series and it can be read as a stand alone. I actually read this book before reading the first one in the series. The writing style of the author is amazing as then make the words and story line flow throughout the book. I found it to be a quick read because of this. The characters are amazing and have the cutest meet cute in this book that hooked me for the rest of the book. I liked the chemistry that the characters have and that the families accept the other. It is just a really cute quick read. The other characters in the book are the ones that you will meet throughout the series in other books. They don’t play a huge part in the books that aren’t theirs but they are there for support. It is a great way to draw the reader into the series and give them just a taste of what the other books hold. This book definitely makes the reader feel all the emotions that the characters are feeling. I can’t wait to read the rest in this trilogy.

I couldn’t wait to get into this one having met Rachel in the previous book …..it was good to catch up with a few others as well

Again , loving the cover and no I don’t want to join them unless it’s for a good meal 🤣😉

So Rachel really doesn’t have a good track record with men and when she gets stood up at dinner it’s the delectable Miguel that comes to her rescue and man he’s just perfect 😍 I think she may have just struck gold this time round

I don’t think Miguel knew what he was letting himself in for when he came to Rachel’s rescue in his restaurant. He’s also been broken hearted but he decides to move on and I’m grateful it’s with Rachel…. She’s one lucky gal that’s for sure! He’s got a beautiful heart , he’s really easy on the eye and he can cook , that’s a great package deal right there 🥰🤣

Rachel and Miguel have chemistry that’s for sure and they’re great together! I didn’t want their story to end but if their’s ends there’s another to follow so I know I’m just know I’m going to love Rose’s story 🥰😉
