Jeremy Full of Grace by Greta Cribbs- Review by Kristy Nelson

Jeremy Full of GraceJeremy Full of Grace by Greta Cribbs
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cribbs offers a unique twist on the story of the virginal birth. Honestly, I am not religious at all, but I was still very intrigued by the storyline. I definitely was not disappointed! I thoroughly enjoyed the story, even if some of the religious nuance was lost on me. I particularly recommend this book if you like the dystopian genre. It was nice to have a dystopian read done a bit differently than anything else I have read.

Jeremy Full of Grace is the latest release from the talented Greta Cribbs. I have read most of Ms. Cribbs books now, so when this popped up on my recommended book feed I didn’t hesitate to snap up a copy and dive in.
This book is a little difficult to label, being quite an intriguing mix of elements. There is definitely a sci-fi aspect to the story, as well as a bit of a dystopian feel- with mystery, miracles, drama, thought provoking developments, religion, hope, and faith.
The world population has been devastated by a plague which has also left the survivors sterile. The very fate of humanity is at stake. We meet Jeremy, a 17 year old boy….. who just happens to be PREGNANT! You read that right- a pregnant BOY. I must admit I wasn’t sure how this thread of the story would play out, or how believable it would be- but Ms. Cribbs made it entirely plausible- delivering a engrossing story that gave me plenty to think about.
A well-woven, original, and intriguing story- with a good dose of miracles, faith, belief… and new beginnings- it all made for a great read.

Thank you, Greta Cribbs!

Jeremy Full of Grace by Greta Cribbs
Genre – Literary Fiction, Magical Realism, Post-apocalyptic
Eight years after a plague killed most of the world’s population, leaving the survivors barren, midwife Leslie travels the countryside in search of some sign that humanity may still have a future. She never expected that sign to take the form of Jeremy, a seventeen-year-old Catholic boy who claims to have been impregnated following what he believes was a visitation from the Virgin Mary.
Leslie, an agnostic, is skeptical of his story, but cannot deny what the physical evidence and her trained eye are telling her: that Jeremy is indeed carrying a child inside his body. Questions abound over whether Jeremy’s version of events is true, but even as Leslie grapples with her own conflicting feelings about faith, she knows that first and foremost she has a duty to perform: ensuring the safe birth of this child who may well be final hope of the doomed human race

Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy by Greta Cribbs – Review By Chantelle Smith

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Venganza is the prequel to Primogénito. Once again this author has pulled out all the stops again to make this read an even better than the last, and just as captivating. I found I just couldn’t put the book down, I read it one sitting and found myself completely and utterly drawn in to what was happening with the characters, this gave us a better insight into Damien and his story, as well as part of Damien & Jenn’s story, but more than that the whole general storyline of all involved was just as captivating in this read than in Primogénito.
This book was thrilling, suspenseful, dark, mysterious, emotional, heart-breaking and shocking.
This book was filled with twists and turns that you never expected, that left you on the edge of your seat, wanting to know what was going to happen, but it also left you reeling after what you were reading.

This was an incredibly gripping, mysterious and suspenseful read that I’m glad I got the chance to experience and will look forward to seeing what else this author can bring.

Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy is the prequel to Primogenito. It can be read as a standalone.

This book was…intense, dark, fearsomely twisted, and kept up a pretty good pace. I read the whole thing in one day because I had to find out how it ended. After I finished it, I realized that this is probably one of those books that would be really great to read on a dark and stormy night. It’ll get to you on so many levels.

The author has worked paranormal elements into the story in such a way that it is very believable. It is a creative tale, and well written.

One thing I will say is that this book is not for anyone who is triggered by violence. There are some very brutal moments that may be difficult for some people to read. I would definitely say this book is not for anyone under the age of 18.

I was hooked as soon as I started reading this story. This book is definitely full of emotions, drama, secrets, action, and love. This is Damian and Jenn’s story and a very intriguing one. This book is a prequel to Primogenito and I really enjoyed reading that one so I was very excited when I got my hands on this one. The author does an exceptional job bringing you into the story with her attention to detail and wonderful storytelling. There are definitely some dark intense moments in this book. I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say this book is intense and has some plot twists and wonderful characters. I highly recommend this book.

Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy by Greta Cribbs is definitely an interesting story. One that I am not sure how I feel about it. On one hand it is a quick and compelling read, but on the other hand I was sickened by the heart wrenching turn of events but it is like watching a train wreck, you cannot stop looking. It is a very, very, emotional read and I felt all of the pain and suffering, betrayal and loss that the main character felt. Greta is good at writing very detailed scenes that you can visualise so easily and sometimes get lost in that detail. There is a lot of very, very, dark and graphic scenes to this story that many may be uncomfortable with. The Fuentes Legacy is nothing to be proud of and the dark secrets and lies they keep are atrocious and I found myself wanting to do some serious harm to them. There is lots of drama and suspense, horror and pain, guilt and suffering in this dark tale will go straight to your heart and emotions. So if you like dark and twisted stories then this is story that you will like.

Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy by Greta Cribbs – Review by Emily Walsh

My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy by Greta Cribbs was a dark twisted tale, that had me not only hooked but it had me shielding my eyes and holding my breath.

My first read by this author, and I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. This is a prequel novel, so I do suggest (even if I didn’t) reading that first book. It probably would have cleared somethings up for me, but in all, even without reading the first book, I didn’t feel like anything was confusing.

Wow, if I could I leave my read as just that I would, but I’m not in that business, so let me elaborate, shall we.

Told with a sinister tone and gritty scenes, I was pulled into this pretty much instantly. Rich with darkness and graphic scenes, I had to look away like I was watching a horror movie. For to have such things done by one’s own family, horrendous and pure nightmare fuel. The story itself has a nice steady flow, with intertwined ribbons of darkness, creating a tension that stays with the story as you read and become more immersed. I have to say I don’t think I have read anything like this book, and I want more.

As this is a prequel to the main series, I’m going to leave my review here as anything will spoil this haunting tale. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you’ll not only be captured by this unique original horror, but you’ll be left wanting much, much, more.

Happy Reading

Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy written by Greta Cribbs. I read book one : Primogenito last year and I’ve been waiting for Venganza. This is about the Fuentes family, with all their secrets. There is a lot going on in this book but it makes it so great, and I don’t mean a lot in the way your thinking, the Fuentes family has done a lot, have a lot of secrets and it seems like they are all coming out. Venganza is Damian and Jenn’s love story with a twist it also tells more in depth about Damian’s kidnapping and torture. Will true love win over the darkness that is the Fuentes family when someone tries to leave it.
The story will suck you from the moment you get past chapter one, the characters you have a love/ hate relationship with. They make the story unique so you love them for that but you have what they have done and who they are.

Venganza: The Fuentes Legacy is the prequel to Primogenito by Greta Cribbs. This book is Damien and Jenn’s story. It is filled with action, suspense, drama and intrigue. This book had me hooked from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until the last. This is my new favorite book by Greta. I love how detailed her characters and plots are. I felt like I was there in the scenes which was a wild ride at some points. This book had me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole story. I read the book in one sitting because I just had to know how it ended. I would recommend this book, but also caution that it might not be for all reader.
