I have enjoyed all the books in this series, and this one didn’t disappoint. Emma and Jeremy, along with Dora and Tim, receive an anonymous invite to Paris for the Paris Exposition. The mystery starts out right away with the group trying to find out who sent such an extravagant invitation. Another intriguing mystery I highly recommend.

Laurent and Phoebe made a pact when they were in college. Now, 18 years later, Phoebe shows up from out of nowhere, demanding that he keep his end of the bargain. I enjoyed the characters in this book, as well as the story itself. I couldn’t put it down!

Goldilocks and the Six Simple Machines by Lois Wickstrom

This is a cute retelling of Goldilocks & the three bears with a science twist. Goldilocks uses her knowledge of simple machines to help out the Bear family. The story is kept pretty much the same, but I especially like the recap at the end of the book explaining each of the simple machines and the example from the book. Very cute and educational!

Because of all the “bad” publicity, when he tries to purchase a studio, the shareholders balk at the deal. In comes Catrina Sinclair, lawyer and a neutral party, to organize the deal. But Nathan and Catrina have met, in a mind-blowing one-night-stand. Talk about conflict of interest! This is the third book in the series, but can be read as a stand-alone. I love this series and highly recommend it.

This is a powerful story of Talks Like Thunder, an Apache girl who overcomes many obstacles throughout her young life. Taken from one tribe to live in another, finally finding her place, only to experience the “white-eyes” and the beginning of the end of the American Indians’ way of life. I recommend the book to anyone that enjoys historical fiction.

This is a children’s book that takes the Deer family on a people safari. Led by Racoon, the Deer family set out to see how people live. Buck and Doe are hopeful that Fawn will see the dangers of being seen by Humans, but Fawn is too excited to heed any warning. A very cute story with education sprinkled throughout.

The battle between Cole and Riley rages on. Something is off, even more so with Riley and her mom and Cole will stop at nothing to get rid of them, despite his growing attraction to Riley. That is until Cole learns the secret that Riley and her mom have been keeping. Now, there’s nothing Cole wouldn’t do to protect Riley. This was a quick, suspenseful read that I couldn’t put down!

Grayson Wu is a well-known, successful architect. His plans to renovate a part of the city for a new residential/business district is going along smoothly, until it comes to the purchase of the single perfect building. No one seems to have any information about it. When Grayson hand picks Natalie Chapelle to be his liaison between himself and the city officials, he realizes she is hiding things, including her last name. I love this series and each of the boys of the WaterFyre Rising gang. Cannot wait for the next one!

This is a fast-paced tween read. I think teens will find the story exciting and the characters relatable!

Chicken Little Investigates: a science folktale by Lois Wickstrom

This is a cute story of Chicken Little and the sky falling. The story takes on a science-sleuthy feel as Chicken Little and Henny Penny investigate the sky falling. I also liked the fonts used for the different sounds made, as well as the rhyming names of the characters. A great book for beginning readers!

I just love this series. Emma and Jeremy are separated throughout much of the story and you see their relationship strained, but strengthened because of it. The storyline is exciting with the different cases the group takes on. Cannot wait for the next installment out this year. I highly recommend this series!

This was an interesting story about a man whose girlfriend is abducted and believed dead. After years pass, he meets her doppelganger, thinking it’s his girlfriend. The more time he spends with her, however, the more he begins to see the differences and starts to let himself fall in love again. Then the story takes a turn and the real mystery is revealed. A book that kept me reading until I was done!

This story was very imaginative and kept me intrigued. Secrets and schemes between the different gods kept the story exciting. I love stories about mythology and Atlantis, etc. This was an entertaining book, and I will definitely be reading the other books in the series.

Royce Viktorsson was the adventurer of his group of childhood friends. Always seeking the thrill, but the high never lasted. It always felt like he needed more. As a part-time volcanologist, Royce spends most of his time managing all the adventure resorts he owns around the world. But even then, something seems to be missing. That was until he ran into Michelle Yates while in Iceland. Yes, they were acquaintances, but that was where things stopped, until now. Someone is trying to sabotage Royce’s resort business while Michelle’s life is seemingly in danger. I am a fan of this friends-to-lovers series and cannot wait for the rest of the series to come out.

Flustered, he winds up kidnapping her, not realizing who she is. This is the first book I have read in this series, but I loved it. The characters and story were very entertaining. I will be looking up the three previous books in the series; highly recommended
