I absolutely loved this action-packed romance; it was full of suspense and was so realistic. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going on and who was causing the issues throughout the entire story, right from the very beginning. This book was a huge page-turner, I couldn’t put it down from the moment I started reading it I was hooked. I loved the characters that we get to meet, and the code names are so realistic, it’s something that I would expect from a story utilizing any type of military. As a movie lover, this was so exciting to read, it was like watching from the sidelines of a movie set and getting to meet the actors in real life. I felt the burning romance from the second that Kai walked into the office with Waters and was not disappointed as the heat built between the two of them. The author did a stupendous job of making everything so realistic and capturing my attention in wanting to know more about everyone’s backstories. This is one of my favorite suspenseful romance series I have read and have already marked my calendar for the next book in the series to come out. If I could give this more than 5 stars I totally would, this is a must-read in my book, highly recommend it!!!

The Human Mating Site, Box Set 1 (The Human Mating Site Series) by B.L. Wilde – Review by Brandy Rymer

The Human Mating Site Box Set 1 : A Steamy, Dating Humour Novella's 1-4The Human Mating Site Box Set 1 : A Steamy, Dating Humour Novella’s 1-4 by B.L. Wilde

This collection of novellas just had me rolling with laughter. The dating world has evolved so much in the last 15 years, now most of it is online-based, and boy do people not always so up to be who they claim to be, as our main character Bella realizes. Dumped by her boring husband of 12 years, who turns out to be cheating on her with another woman, who happens also to be named Bella, go figure, throws her into the realization that she’s been lonely for a long time and just needs to go out and meet some new people. Follow along as Bella seeks to figure out who she is through the dating world, as she finds her true worth and rebuilds her confidence in herself through good and bad dates. This was a truly inspirational story, that I cannot wait to continue to read as the next novellas continue to come out, I’ve got the guy I’m rooting for already, but we’ll see if he can change his ways to win the heart of our illustrious main character. This is a great read that will keep your attention going and will have you laughing and crying throughout the different experiences that Bella goes through while finding herself.

Hope For A New World (Gaia’s Voice Series) by Renee W Peek – Review by Brandy Rymer

Hope For a New World (The Hope Series Book 1)Hope For a New World by Renee W. Peek
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was a real inspirational read, which focused on the importance of caring for the planet and the consequences of failing to do so. It was a great example of how the world may become if we are not more conscientious of how we are treating the resources that we are given, and that we shouldn’t take for granted all of the beauty around us. The characters were so wonderfully crafted, each one having an important role in bringing the cause to light, and the importance of teamwork in accomplishing the goals that the people are working to accomplish, which is to travel to a new world where they may get a restart. It’s so unfortunate that where there is a good cause in the works, that there are always people who will do whatever it takes to put a stop to the progress that is being made. This group made up of well-to-do people as well as the military decide that instead of helping get rid of the group who are making their lives more difficult, and allowing them to go to the new world, it is far better to intervene and prevent the trip from happening and then to hunt down those seeking solace and deal with them in their own ways. What a great read, expect the unexpected, and you’ll still be surprised by the outcomes that await everyone.

Kingdom of 7 Sovereigns – Wolf (Kingdom of 7 Sovereigns Series) by R. C. Reigh – Review by Brandy Rymer

Kingdom of 7 Sovereigns: WolfKingdom of 7 Sovereigns: Wolf by R.C. Reigh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kingdom of 7 Sovereigns was an amazing fantasy novel, the author is a genius when it comes to writing such words that the story just came to life as I read it. I loved the take on bringing the sovereigns from the 7 kingdoms together, so you get to see the different types of characters interacting with one another, even if they are normally considered mortal enemies when in their kingdoms. There was so much excitement, and intrigue in piecing together the clues about the characters and their agendas (especially those deeply hidden as gems in the story) that could be so easily missed if you weren’t paying attention. The author put a whole new spin on the fantasy world that has me hooked, I just saw that there is a mini prequel book that I am going to go back and read before moving on to book 2 in this series. If you are a huge fan of all types of fantasy creatures, then this is the perfect next book series for you to read! It gives you all of the excitement, and action, sprinkles in intrigue and romance, and you’ve got it all in this book.

Mission Improbable: Vietnam (A Blanche Murninghan Mystery) by Nancy Nau Sullivan – Review by Brandy Rymer

Mission Improbable:Vietnam (A Blanche Murninghan Mystery)Mission Improbable:Vietnam by Nancy Nau Sullivan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a great mystery story that beautifully portrays the customs and traditions of Vietnam both during and after the Vietnam War. The parts that take place during the Vietnam War are so realistic and frighteningly sorrowful, that to feel the fear both sides must have been experiencing, was just heartbreaking. The paths that Jean and Blanche travel around Vietnam, and the people they meet while on their hunt for answers to what happened to their parents, take the reader into places you would not even imagine exist. I love the variety of characters that we meet throughout this story, especially the ones working to help Jean find her missing mother, they all show such deep love for the beauty of family bonds, embracing both Jean and Blanche as one of their own. The author did a great job on her research and gathering background information to keep this story true to the facts in her detailing, making the characters, and the descriptions of the areas she develops made the story come to life. I was on the edge of my seat, cheering for both Jean and Blanche to find the answers that they were seeking along their journey together.

Tropic Heat (Flamingo Island Series) by C.A. King – Review by Brandy Rymer

Tropic HeatTropic Heat by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was just the perfect length to give me a good read on a late night. I enjoyed the island’s beauty that the friends went to on their vacation, it sounds like a great place to meet up with other singles or just honeymoon with your sweetheart. The characters were wonderfully developed and helped to portray the feelings of such sorrow and confusion for our main character who was left at the altar. It allowed me to connect with his mindset and was happy that his best friend and travel agent were able to convince him to go on the trip together. There were so many surprises that I had not expected but was very happy to get a good ending with all of the questions being answered. I love that in the end, everyone gets what they deserve. What a great romance story with a great moral to always be careful of those you trust.
