My family and I get so excited when we pick up another book from this author as they quickly became one of our favorites! Rhyming always makes the story more fun, and these are unlike other rhyming books you’ll find. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous and really do add a little more depth as you read. Somehow this author takes what seems like a complicated life lesson and makes it not only simple, but also fun! Read with the young ones in your life as we learn about the fact that accidents will occur, and what will happen if you aren’t honest. We never hesitate to pick up books from this author, and if you pick this one up, you’ll definitely see why. I highly recommend sharing this with little ones in your family and in the classroom!

We love them and they have some great lessons. I love how each friend in the animal group goes through something and their friend always sticks by them.

I love how Cray and all of his friends work together to solve problems and create a better world. I really enjoy this author and the world he has created with Cray and his friends, and I think many children will enjoy this story of Gray and his beach ball adventure.

Beach Ball Blunder is a cute children’s story. My son enjoys the rhyming books and all the animal characters. He likes that each character in the collection has their own book, but reappear in the others from the author. The illustrations are amazing and so colorful. This story is probably my favorite, since the message is so important and one that every kiddo needs to learn how to handle- being honest with your friends and seeing how a lie can quickly get out of control.

Beach Ball Blunder by G Pa Rhymes is the third book in The Adventures of Cray Series. We meet Cray’s friend Seal Gray. Gray is having fun on the beach with his ball when it suddenly all goes wrong. We watch as Gray first denies his mistake and then does the right thing. This book is wonderful. The easy rhymes help children to engage in the story. Gray is very relatable. What child hasn’t had an accident that they were afraid to own up to? This book is great for teaching accountability. The illustrations are bright and wonderful as usual. This is another great children’s book to add to your collection.

I Read this story with my little ones today and they really enjoyed it. It kept their interest the whole time and the oldest one 9 even wanted to take over reading, and read to the younger one ❤️(and he’s not a big reader ) so that was really cool. I love when children’s books have a learning undertone to it. I totally agree about lying, it only creates the snowball on the hill effect .Also I love the artwork so much, all the colors go so well with one another, pops off the pages 🥰🥰 I can’t wait to read more from this author G Pa Rhymes Poor Little Gray with his puppy eyes.

Beach Ball Blunder is Book Three in The Adventures of Cray on the Bay Series. It is a children’s book that follows the beach adventures of Cray the Crab and his friends, Hay the Fox, Ray the Seagull, Fay the Turtle, and in this newest adventure Gray the Seal. Told in rhymes the book tells the story of Seal Gray who is on the beach playing with his beach ball when it suddenly spins out of control causing chaos along the way. Gray sees the damage that the ball has done as it crushes his friend’s sandcastle, knocks an ice cream cone out of a child’s hand, and almost hits his friends as it bounces along the beach. He decides to lie and say the ball was not his because he feels so guilty about what has happened. Afterwards, Seal Gray is overwhelmed by guilt and sadness, so he goes to his friends and confesses that it was him and his ball. His friends are understanding, and Cray the Crab explains that lying is harmful. The friends then work together to clean up the mess along the beach. This was a wonderfully written book with cute rhymes and colorful illustrations that conveyed important messages about friendship, forgiveness, kindness, and responsibility for one’s own actions. A must read for both young and old alike.

While this one may be for slightly older than my almost two year old we still loved it. He was very interested in the picture ms throughout this story always stopping me so he could have a good look at everything. As a momma I really liked to lesson to be learned within the story. I think these books are great for kiddos. Nice and easy to read with wonderful illustrations to engage kids. Short and sweet with wonderful characters. My young one may not quite understand the lesson behind the story just yet, but he was mesmerized with the are working and we’ll definitely be keeping this one to read more times as he get old enough to understand the lesson later on. Five stars and highly recommended.

Seal Gray was playing with his beachball when all of a sudden bounced away. The ball was causing havoc on the other creatures that lived at the beach. All of his friends on the beach were upset about the chaos so Gray lied and said it wasn’t his ball. This caused all the friends to start blaming others for the mess and Gray started to feel guilty. His guilt led him to need to do the right thing, so he apologized for the ball and lying. All his friends forgave him but explained how lying only makes things worse. This was a cute lessons learned book for kids teaching them that accidents happen, but lying should not.

This is a very cute story for children to own up to their responsibilities even if things do not go right. Cray the seal loves to blay beachball. The beachball spins out of control and causes inconvenience to few of his friends. Cray initially lies that it was not his ball but later a blame game starts and things get out of control. Cray steps up and owns up his mistake which makes him a very brave seal. The rhymes are simple and meaningful and illustrations are really nice. I would recommend this book to all kids.

Beach Ball Blunder is another super cute children’s book that takes you on an adventure with cray and his friends. The illustrations are wonderful and bring the story to life. This is my favorite yet because the lesson is the same I’ve been teaching my son and that is , If you make the wrong choice or say the wrong thing there are consequences for your actions. This is a big one and it’s important to teach them about trust, friendship, telling the truth ,and forgiveness. My son is in kindergarten and we are learning about these things and more. Follow along with Gray and friends as they learn valuable lessons on their adventure. I highly recommend reading this book and my son and I are looking forward to reading more from this Author.

As a parent I enjoyed this book because it teaches kids the importance of telling the truth and self accountability.

Beachball Blunder was a fun read that taught us about honesty and taking ownership of your actions. I personally loved the illustrations in this book. My daughter and I especially liked Cray and Fay on the playground swings. This is the third book I’ve read with my daughter by this author. It was really cool to read watch her connect and recognize characters and scenarios from previous books “remember cray’s arm?!”. She was able to really grasp the storyline with the writing and illustrations like you would hope from any children’s book. Similarly to other books in the series, there were enough challenging words to make her proud of her reading without getting discouraged. Another great children’s book by this author.

Beach Ball Blunder is the third book in The Adventures of Cray series by G Pa Rhymes. This is such a great series of book, and I have enjoyed reading them with my little grandchildren- Cray, Hay, Gray, Fay, and Ray have such fun adventures, and always learn something along the way. As expected, this is another really cute addition to the series where we meet a ‘new’ friend, Gray the seal. Things go a little awry when Gray’s beach ball antics get out of hand, causing a little chaos at the seaside. Cray the crab, Gray the seal, Hay the fox, Fay the turtle, and Ray the seagull will need to navigate a few obstacles, learn about mistakes and consequences, learn and grow from the blunder, as well as finding forgiveness, restoring trust, true friendship, and being kind. A fun little read with some great lessons to impart. The story is accompanied by lots of lovely, bright, colourful, interesting, and captivating illustrations — which help to bring the whole story to life. G. Pa Rhymes tells a cute tale – which is told in a rhyming/rapping verse which adds an extra element of interest to the whole story. Easy to read. Educational. Fun. Interesting. Beach-side setting. Animal friends. Wonderful illustrations. Cute story. Well worth the read. The series contains (so far)… -A New Day for Cray (Book #1) -Cray Saves the Day (Book #2) -Beach Ball Blunder (Book #3) -Hay Goes Home (Book #4) Looking forward to more adventures with Cray. Happy Reading…

Such a great book for kids to help them understand that accidents do happen and that it’s okay if they do but it’s better if we don’t lie about them. The story is easy for Little’s to follow along and I think some will connect with Grey. It’s a good reminder for them that their friends (or family) will forgive them in these situations. Once again, life lessons for kids in a fun and realistic way. Accidents are a part of life good and bad ones. This book in the series focuses on the importance of telling the truth. Gray Seal had an accident it wasn’t on purpose, but it hurt his friends’ feelings and led to some mean words being said amongst them until he faced his fear and told the truth. It’s okay to have accidents but remember to tell the truth, once he did, he and his friends were able to work together to fix everything that happened. I can’t forget once more the beautiful illustrations of Erica’s that help bring the Bay to life with her incredible talent.

Cray and his friends are enjoying their home on the bay. One such friend is Seal Gray, who is playing on his rock with a beach ball until it gets away from him by accident and nearly hits Gull Ray before bouncing off of Turtle Fay, and knocking a young girl’s ice cream cone out of her hand before finally knocking over Fox Hay’s sandcastle. At first, Seal Gray denies having been responsible for the mishap, and all of the other beach friends make hurtful comments about how bad the one responsible for all the chaos is. While Seal Gray feels bad, he eventually tells the truth, and his friends explain why lying is bad. Seal spends the rest of the afternoon cleaning up and fixing his messes, after apologizing. This beautifully illustrated story is easy to understand and great for helping young children to understand why lying is bad.

Beach Ball Blunder (The Adventures of Cray Series) by G Pa Rhymes. These are the best books for young children because not only are they entertaining but they teach great lessons as well. Its another fun story about Cray on the Bay and his friends. This time its Seal Gray and his favorite beach ball. Seal learns that when you lose your ball and it creates all kinds of havoc its best to not lie and to own up to your mistakes. When you lie it messes up friendships and breaks trust. My 5 year old nephew loves these books and we always discuss the lesson involved. The pictures are always amazing as well. Add this great book to your child’s library, you won’t be disappointed! Great for gifting or for teachers to read to the classes.

There is a great moral to the story to about lying and how it is always better to tell the truth, something that we always teach children so this story would be a great starting point to encourage discussions about the subject. Seal Gray is playing with his beach ball when he loses control of it. Several things transpire from that and Gray finds himself in a situation where he’s lying about the ball being his. This book focuses on telling the truth and preserving friendships.
The illustrations in this book are very colorful and attractive. Be sure to show anyone you are reading this to the pictures. If a young reader is reading to you, use that as a teachable moment about items in the pictures, as well as the story itself.
