Journeys Through Collection: Volume 1-3Journeys Through Collection: Volume 1-3 by James Talisman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Any true reader knows the value of a box set, and how exciting it is! To have your favorites all collected together in pretty packaging is a feel good moment!

All 3 Journey books were truly amazing, and started each one devastated every time I finished because it was that amazing. Book 1 was an extraordinary introduction to the world and characters.
This Sci-Fi creation takes your imagination on whirlwind of 5 different individuals as they navigate personal beliefs, personal struggles, and the overall connection they each somehow have. Its such a fun story that you cant help but want to read from start to finish with no distractions. The relatable characters and life lessons no matter the world they inhabit made the story even more lifelike.
There were so many things about this book that can be said! James Talisman took us on quite the adventure with his Multiverse and the many different characters who inhabit it. The worlds were wonderfully crafted with the most well thought out characters and their intricately woven stories. This book was a complete page turner, and prepared me for me book 2.
Book 2 really pulled me in!! The character development and the storyline advanced further in book 2, and it really captured my attention with the imagination and detail. You truly feel as one with each character, and can easily imagine yourself there. As we reunite with the characters from book 1 we become privy to their dedication for their beliefs and their different worlds. As the story progresses we are able to see more about each character and more in-depth views of the multiverse, and how everything connects. James Talisman is very talented and he is one of the reasons I am venturing out to read more Sci-Fi books.
Book 3 left me speechless because it was the finale and the series end. No words can express how excited I was for the story, but sad that it was not going on any longer. The characters had developed into their own, and their worlds were now as familiar to me as my own. This book will consume you and make you crave more of what this author has to create..

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction by C. L. Schneider – Review by Emily Beehler

Chain Reaction (Nite Fire #2)Chain Reaction by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Chain Reaction hits a new point in the Nite Fire series for Dhalia. In thin book Dhalia is faced with the fact that her power is evolving, and with it so will she. She is back at it with Detective Creed in solving murder cases, all the while still making sure to keep the detective off the trail of finding that supernatural creatures are real. We see just how corrupt the species have become from Dhalia’s home realm, and what measures they are willing to take in order to take and maintain power. There are many secrets revealed, which leave both the reader and Dhalia with questions. Another phenomenal book in the Nite Fire series.

Nite Fire: Flash Point by C. L. Schneider – Review by Emily Beehler

Flash Point (Nite Fire, #1)Flash Point by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In Flash point the reader is introduced to Dhalia Nite, a lyrriken (dragon hybrid) that fled from her home realm, whose been living amongst human for close to a century. We fallow Dhalia on an investigation of murders caused by those like her, where simultaneously she is trying to understand why her kind is murdering, and brutally so, all the while making sure to cover up any notions that these murders could be supernatural. This becomes hard as she is joined in this investigation by Detective Creed, who to Dhalia’s detriment, wants nothing less than the truth even if is supernatural. What I enjoyed about this book was the powers that Dhalia has, and how she is able to feel and see into a persons perspective, which does come in handy when trying to solve a murder case. This book is a unique storytelling, with AMAZING world building, and complex characters. Flash point is only the beginning to an intriguing world of dragon hybrids, and Dhalia Nites story.

The Mesmerist by Claire Luana – Review by Santana Hicks

The MesmeristThe Mesmerist by Claire Luana
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The concept of this book was very interesting. The main character, Adrijana, lived a poor life with her father longing to live in the city where the royal family lived. Little did she know her wish would be granted but not in the way she thought. Adrijana was always able to see peoples emotions but she didn’t really think anything of it. When her and her father went into the city to deliver a herb to the queen, she is found to be an undeclared Mesmerist. Her powers were suppressed and she had no idea. The two royal Mesmers take her in to train her. Overnight, Adrijana’s life is turned upside down.

Someone is killing the royal family one by one and Adrijana is trying to get to the bottom of it with the help of the other two Mesmers in the royal court. Nothing is as it seems and no one can be trusted.

This book was filled with suspense and mystery with a splash of romance. I would love to look into some more works from this author. This book has for sure been my favourite read thus far in 2022.
