This book was pretty interesting to me. I knew it was supposed to be a humorous/satirical read, but it is a different type of humor than what I was expecting. It was a fast-paced story, quickly jumping from one point to the next, which I found made it a little bit difficult to get into. The writing was very matter-of-fact, which makes for a good almost documentary-style story, but not as great for connecting to characters. If you like this type of humor, this will make a good book for you, but it wasn’t necessarily my favorite. This doesn’t mean it’s a bad book by any means, just not really up my alley.

This book was so different from anything that I have ever picked up to read but I enjoyed it so much.
This story was full of adventure and the characters were brought to life so well. I purposely took my time to read this book just so that it would last longer. I am looking forward to reading more books from this author.

Campy. Definition of campy is according to Merriam-Webster is “absurdly exaggerated, artificial, or affected in a usually humorous way.” Planet HY Man, so unlike our own everyday life yet so spot on when you think of the book in terms of our banal emotions and humor. Bravo for Kerrie Noor to be able to make us think about our lives but in a humorous and fun way that seems so ironic and farfetched from our lives as we live them now. The Rise of Manifesto the Great by Kerrie Noor is a great book which I can best describe as campy and full of fun. It really reminded me of the early science fiction films from the 50’s and 60’s. I could really picture Manifesto and the rest of the crew laying around bed-diving and smoking hemp. A battle of the sexes at its funniest! It is so great! What makes it such a great read is that it is original, funny, has a bit of mystery in the book but it is just FUN! If you are looking for a book to help wash away the day’s troubles and fall completely into Manifesto’s world and Planet HY Man, you must read this book

This book was soo much fun to read. The author created this amazing and original new world and provided us with the most unique characters to inhabit it. Kerrie Noor weaves together this quirky ,funny, sarcastic, and witty Sci-Fi Comedy where we explore a true battle of men vs. women. We start of being introduced to the world of Planet Hy Man and watch as men and women come to inhabit this desolate planet. Men and women arrive together to this planet celibate and as the story unfolds we watch as the men solely attempt to impregnate women, and the women fight to establish their equality. Its a very humorous take on men vs women and what it takes for them together to establish this new world despite the sexism and comedic mishaps. You won’t be disappointed with this book.

This is a book for those over 18 due to its adult nature and sometimes graphic content.

Manifesto The Great is the grandson of the first leaders of the Planer Hy Man, leaders of a race of space faring men and women who were travelling through space on a ship to find a new hospitable planet where they could forge a new way of living, but living on spaceships can be cramped, especially of you are on them for a long time, so these particular wayfarers decided that sex was off the table and abstinence was the new normal, as well as segregation of the sexes so taht there was no temptation to fornicate. After a while this became the norm and nobody questioned it, until they arrived on Planet Hy Man where there was plenty of fresh air, space to live and expand and as it turns out a copious amount of hemp, this new found freedom leant itself to the reintegration of the sexes, fresher food and plenty of sex and partying in celebration and this is how they lived until some order had to be established, however, the views on how to do this were poles apart according to whether it was the females or the males who were speaking, in the end the males shouted the loudest and declared that they would do the work and the women were to procreate and look after the children and nothing mroe than that.

This way of living carried on for years, technology was invented, created and used to their advantage, including four-legged creatures and statues, the hemp was farmed and life was good, until the planet started to become more polluted and the women had had enough when their rights and duties were reduced even more and they felt like it was unfair that they were only regarded as baby making machines and walking wombs. Things were marginally better under the second leader, but when he passed away, the successor was even worse, a typical mans man who only thought of sex and participating in a sport he created of pulling spaceships, the women lost more rights and the men weren’t happy either, that is until Manifesto The Great came along and hoped to find a balance which sutied all the people of Planet Hy Man before they either tore each other or the planet apart. He tried to listen to women’s views as well as the mens, albeit the past leaders had female advisors, the men were always seeking to either overthrow them or cast them out as spies, believing that they were weak and brainless, the women however, wanted to prove them wrong once and for all.

Will Manifesto The Great be able to live up to the legacy which his forefathers left behind, will be able to make the wise decisions which will please both the men and the women, or will he drown in their demands for a better life and more equality? This is a comedic sci-fi adventure with plenty of crazy action, argumentative women and equally argumentative men who will drag you into their lives and keep you firmly ensconced there throughout the book.

The Rise Of Manifesto The Great (Planet Hy Man) by Kerrie Noor is very fast-paced and very funny! I appreciate a good satire and this held my attention to the very end. This book is the first of three prequels to the Planet Hy Man book, which I had never heard of before picking this up. Thus far, this planet has remained pure. The latest group to arrive on Planet Hy Man are ready for real experiences. When Manifesto the Great takes power, he has to find his stride and learn to control the women. The comedy and spoof that follows is a tickle to the funny bone. As I said, I love a good satire, especially when there are some kick-ass characters involved. Even if this isn’t the typical type of book for you to dive into, I recommend that you do, anyway. I recommend this book for some good chuckles, and I’ve been inspired to travel again to Planet Hy Man and to visit more works by Kerrie Noor.

This was a very enjoyable read. It is a sci-fi read however it is full of comedy which really made it a light hearted read.

In this story a spaceship of men and women arrive on a planet that is uninhabited. While living on the spaceship there was an order that everyone has to stay celibate due to the lack of space on the ship.

Once they arrived a leader was found and life started to take shape. The men were given jobs and women were sent to the nurturing shed  to make and care for the babies.

This way of life was ok for a time however not everyone was happy with this way of life and when new people started to arrive and people become segregated and only had access to certain things depending on their ranking this started to create friction between everyone.

They need a strong leader to unite them all but that doesn’t seem to be available.
This books is full of laughs and strong women which really bring the story to life it an age old war between men and women and women fighting for rights

Even in space men can’t find their way. The ladies always have to show them on the map. Gran’s directions to the rescue for Arthur of the North. The subtle humor of this book will have you chuckling as you read. The characters are well-written with quirky personalities. A quick read to fill out your day.

The Rise of Manifesto The Great by Kerrie Noor was a decent read. The story was really good, it just didn’t feel well executed to me. I don’t know if it was an off day reading for me, but I just couldn’t get into this story and get lost in it. I felt very disconnected from it. I definitely saw some of the humor in this book but most of the jokes fell flat to me. I really hope it was just an off day for me, because I really wanted to enjoy this book more than I did. I would love to read more of Noor’s novels in the future though!

This is a hilariously tongue-in-cheek satire that will win over hearts with its scathing review of modern society. Noor uses Manifesto, as well as his father and grandfather (James the Great and Arthur of the North) to demonstrate how ridiculous some parts of society are. This book is extremely funny in a sardonic way, and is eye-opening in terms of what people will do for power. Beneath the larger narrative, there are many quirky little gems that shoot sharp barbs at the foolishness of man. The dry wit of this novel will get you if you love Sci-Fi, and also Monty Python-eque humour. Great fun, I recommend you try it!

The Rise Of Manifesto The Great: A Sci Fi Comedy Where Women Wear The Trousers (Planet Hy Man) by Kerrie Noor is quite the interesting read. It is a sci-fi romantic comedy and is full of the three S’s, satire and sarcasm and sexism. Whilst I don’t mind a good laugh and I did, I felt it was a bit over the top and fell short of its intended mark. A new planet, a new world, a new start only the start is not what they all thought.

Honestly with this wonderful witty book I’m not sure where to start haha. I could basically let my thoughts flow and there would be many thoughts all scrambled

So lets start with the basics. I picked this book up, more or less it was about civilization starting, I guess to me I d think the characters would have had some sound minds to what they needed to do. Nope! I did love the characters though as I read on and they were very easy to connect with I found.

The biggest thought I had was while reading more towards beginning was if your starting a new civilization why kill your sources of food, land, or even chances of survival? As this wonderful novel portrayed it showed the women themselves who were quite undervalued had to step in and they took charge and eventually, though I found it took some trial and error got the men to agree and see their points of views

And truly they are the main reasons why the mission or so to call it was successful and civilization could be restarted. But it wasn’t an easy task to get there and I find that’s a issue that’s always in the growing world/

This book was nothing what I expected , but it so much more better! It was different and I have never read anything really like how this was written in its context.

I quite enjoyed this book and I would defiantly read more by this author. It was humorous, and made me think years from now if the world ends, how would life go on? How would the world begin again? Would the human race be able to survive with their instinct and skills?

Again really enjoyed this different take on being able to rebuild and build a life and civilization again 🙂 Highly recommend. Pick this up! I assure you that you will enjoy this as much as I did!

Kerrie Noor wrote The Rise of Manifesto The Great. This is a Sci-Fi story which is one of the prequels to the Planet Hy Man book. It is to give a back story to the book. This has many comical points to the book. There is a battle of the sexes happening on planet Hy Man. The battle did not occur until a new group arrived on the planet. WIll the planet improve with the new group or will it suffer? This is a page-turner from the first page until the last. This was a fun story from the first page until the last. I recommend this book for some fun reading.

The Rise Of Manifesto The Great: A Sci Fi Comedy Where Women Wear The Trousers (Planet Hy Man) by Kerrie Noor. I found this to be a musky amusing and entertaining book that certainly piqued my interest. I really didn’t know what to expect when I started reading this book – as a new author to me I felt like I was going in blind to an extent. I do have to say that I struggled at times to connect with the book – possibly because this is a prequel to an already established series that I haven’t read. However overall I found this to be an enjoyable story and a unique concept. It has certainly caught my attention enough that I will be reading the main series.

This book was very interesting and different from what I’m used to reading. It took me a little to get use to it and the way it was written, but once into it, I found it interesting to see how the author was able to write about civilization and the way that every type of person thinks differently towards there environment. Example is a ship lands on a new plants there are animals and plants around, this group starts killing the animals and really not caring what they do while another group of people, who got ran off by the first people, used the plant as a resource and, growing fields for harvest, saving the animals. The women in this book thou are considered less then men at first, but they influence the men and trick them into doing what is right in some instances. This book makes me feel like its world starting all over like us, were we didn’t have cars or mirrors, and that they evolved to make things and start civilization. All in all, a really interesting and enjoyable read.

The Rise Of Manifesto The Great: A Sci Fi Comedy Where Women Wear The Trousers (Planet Hy Man #1) by Kerrie Noor makes for quite an original read. It is a Sci-fi romantic comedy- a battle of the sexes set on the planet Hy Man.
It is quite spoofy and satirical- which did make for some humorous moments. But I found it all a little overdone- and because of that I had trouble connecting with the story and the characters. I spent a lot of the story frustrated with the whole spoofyness. Maybe that is because I have just come from reading a dark detective series, so I will give this book the benefit of doubt and go back to reread it in a month or two, to see if I still feel the same way.
I would like to explore more of Ms. Noor’s work to get a better feel of her style and what else she has done, so stay tuned.

Thank you, Kerrie Noor!

The Hy Man planet inhabitants have found a new planet to settle on. Men are the rulers but they are only as good as the woman whispering in their ear. The settlers know that others will come to this planet and they must get a good hold of the settlement to show their dominance. Women are treated as breeders only. They are placed in a nurturing shed where the men impregnate them repeatedly. Rules change as the rulers change. This is a story of women coming together to take back some control over their lives.

I enjoyed this science fiction story. This is a little different story that I would not normally pick up. It is a great story that has characters that give life to the story. It is a story full of adventure. It is a story about Planet Hy Man and a group of ceilbate people who are determined to stay that way until they find a planet they can live on. Planet Hy Man is a pure planet until this group arrives. Now that they are there things seem to change. Life goes crazy until a leader emerges and creates order. What happens next you will want to find out. I had no problems connecting to the characters and they made me want to see what would happen next. This was a fun and entertaining story and I am happy I picked it up. I recommend this book.
