The Rise Of Manifesto The Great (Planet Hy Man) by Kerrie Noor – Review by Erica Shoebridge

The Rise Of Manifesto The Great: A Sci Fi Comedy Where Women Wear The Trousers (Planet Hy Man)The Rise Of Manifesto The Great: A Sci Fi Comedy Where Women Wear The Trousers by Kerrie Noor
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a hilariously tongue-in-cheek satire that will win over hearts with its scathing review of modern society. Noor uses Manifesto, as well as his father and grandfather (James the Great and Arthur of the North) to demonstrate how ridiculous some parts of society are. This book is extremely funny in a sardonic way, and is eye-opening in terms of what people will do for power. Beneath the larger narrative, there are many quirky little gems that shoot sharp barbs at the foolishness of man. The dry wit of this novel will get you if you love Sci-Fi, and also Monty Python-eque humour. Great fun, I recommend you try it!
