This was a really cute book, and I enjoyed it very much. Max and Ginny were together forever, until they weren’t. Max stayed in their hometown and follows his dream of opening the diner and making it his own, while Ginny goes to New York and follows her own. Are they truly happy with how their lives turned out after their marriage fell apart? This second-chance romance is worth the read for sure!

This book is the second in a series. It works quite well on its own and is easily followed. But it does pick up from the first book and would be enjoyed following it. After the initial set up, the story is fast paced and holds your attention well. Elinor Chalamet is bored and looking for another adventure. She definitely finds one at the Winter Revels. This was a captivating read and enjoyable!

I so enjoyed the push and pull in this story between Lilly and Jake. Both have reasons to be how they are but sometimes it’s worth taking a chance again. This book was amazing and hard to put down. The character development and constant changes made it a wonderful read.

This book delves into racism but with a touch of magic. Shawn, the owner of DNAgen Biolabs, hates people of color. So much so that he made a drug to prevent future colored babies from being born. Being half black himself he is full of self hatred. That tied with ambition, selfishness and power, he quickly goes off the deep end.
Madeline ends up pregnant with Shawn’s baby and it puts a wedge in everything. Shawn tries to convince Madeline to take the drug while also still helping him to kill the circle.
The circle is a group of shops led by a magical group of people. Each shop has their own particular power. Soraya is in charge of managing the people. After the death of previous shop owners orchestrated by Shawn, Soraya is on clean up duty. She has to find apprentices for the empty shops while trying to protect the living.
Can they band together and stop Shawn before more die? What about the drug? Read to find out! You will not be disappointed.
Although the book is technically the 3rd book in the series, it was fine to read without reading the previous books. The book went into enough details to explain what is going on and who is who.

Taming Beckett was an enjoyable romance with complicated and complex characters. If this book is any indication, then I predict this is going to be a great series!
The book took off right from the very first pages. Beckett is a talented and skilled hockey player, but he doesn’t seem to have control off of the ice. Now, he finds himself in a lot of trouble, something that could put an end to his successful career. Paige is successful as well, but like Beckett, not so much in her personal life. Although her problems aren’t created by her but by her husband who has no idea how lucky he is to be married to her. She and Beckett met years ago in college, and she was the only girl who didn’t fall for him. She wasn’t much of a fan of his then, and when they meet again, she still isn’t a fan. However, as they find themselves spending more time together when she becomes his realtor, they begin to form a friendship with the promise of so much more if they can overcome the obstacles standing in their way.
Both Beckett and Paige are complicated characters. The author, G.K. Brady, did a fantastic job of revealing their complexities with each chapter. I wasn’t quite sure how I would feel about Beckett when I read the first chapter. I was not his biggest fan, to say the least. On the other hand, I was a big fan of Paige. I felt like she deserved so much more than her husband was giving her. I was hoping Beckett would find the strength to turn his life around, and I was hoping Paige would have the strength to stand up for herself. I liked the fact that Brady didn’t rush that aspect of the story, and she didn’t really rush the romance. It was a slow burn, and I liked that their relationship was built on the foundation of a strong friendship. I’m not saying there weren’t bumps along the way to their HEA, because there were quite a few. In my opinion, that strong foundation helped them find their way to each other.
I LOVED the epilogue. It was many, many years later, and I liked that a lot. I always like to see how characters are doing in the future before having to tell them goodbye. Brady is a new writer to me, and I’m looking forward to reading more books written by her.

Brenda Hardwick’s Freedom Rings is the third book to The Circle fantasy series. I cannot say that I have read the two previous books beforehand. However, I am definitely intrigued to do so after reading this book to get the full scope. I was still able to follow along well enough and was completely enamored by the storyline and most of the main characters, even if there were a few gaps for me. I especially adored Soraya, with whom we get to share her journey of growth in power and leadership and fight against this hatred of people of color.
I absolutely recommend checking out this series if you are at all intrigued by witches and magic, good and evil. The writing was fantastic, with a strong and descriptive narrative. So, if you’re a fantasy fan, don’t deprive yourself! Check out The Circle series by Brenda Hardwick!

This story was incredibly fast paced with enough items to keep your flipping the pages to the end. Full of amazing characters, a great plot, and of course good vs. evil, this book was the perfect way to end a trilogy. One of my favorite things about this story is that it is told from multiple povs, having multiple povs really gives you the book as a whole. But this book was such a perfect ending to a trilogy that if you haven’t read the whole trilogy I not only recommend book three but I definitely recommend books one and two as well.

This was a fun and fast read. A lot of the books I read I pick based on synopsis, but this one drew me in with just its cover and once I started I didn’t want to put it down. I’m a sucker for a good psychological thriller, and this met all of my criteria. I felt an emotional connection to Catherine, the main character in this book. It is difficult for me to really delve emotionally into a novel, but this author managed to pull me in: hook, line, and sinker. Being a mom can be incredibly difficult but being a mother of a child that has passed has to be a million times more difficult. I think becoming a mom for the first time has really put that into perspective for me. Enough about myself.. this novel is spectacular and I highly recommend for anyone who loves a good psychological thriller. The characters, plot, and emotion in this novel will leave you wanting to read until you finish it.

This was a wonderfully illustrated book that helps provide parents with many talking points they can use with their children in multiple child households. This story shows how a family of four, a boy and a girl, have lots of sibling rivalry, and have a really hard time getting along with each other until it comes time to agree to disagree. I’ve read many books by this author and I have really enjoyed them all. I love to share them with my children and we usually have a really good time talking about them.
This was such an amazing book. I’ve read a few of the authors books and they never disappoint. This book is about two people who start out as friends into romance! If you love a good book that’s all about twists, turns, suspense, and romance then this is the book for you. The story line you could tell the author put a lot of thought and effort in. I highly recommend this book.

Carl and Mira are siblings and also enemies. When one wants to go swimming, the other wants to climb trees. When one wants to play Wildcraft, the other wants to play Labyrinth. One wants to be a superhero while the other wants to be a super villain.
They go to the beach and Mira continuously smashes the sandcastles that Carl makes. Each time he tries to improve them so that his sister will not be able to destroy them easily.
By the end, the two siblings agree to come back to the beach the next day.
This was a bit accurate when it comes to siblings. And the artwork is really nice. I feel like it ends abruptly but I think it is because the two finally agree on something.
The amount of twists and turns lead out for the readers throughout this beautiful novel was incredible. Many chapters included strange occurences that all made sense at the very end, keeping me on my toes. Royce and Michelle are so good together – from the moment they reconnected in Iceland, to all of their events and scenes together. Their tension is unreal!! This book left me stuck wishing this 70 chapter tale kept going, each chapter had me diving head first ready for more!! Now to jump into book 3 of this phenomenal series!

This series is absolutely addicting. Savage Collision was my introduction to the author and I was hooked almost from the beginning, the fact it takes place in New Orleans made me live it a bit more.
Savage Collision – Danika Eriksson is a reporter for the Times and she barges into Savage Hawke’s office to confront him for “forcing” her sister to work at his club and drop out of school at Tulane.
Tortured Skye – Skye Hawke is Savage’s younger sister who has been emotionally withdrawn from her family and everyone after her twin sister Star was killed in an accident. Gabe Anderson is Savage’s childhood best friend and has watched Skye grow from a kid into the beautiful woman.
Stone Sober – Stone has an ego the size of Texas and doesn’t do anything to hide it but he seriously meets the one person to stand up to him and bring him to his knees all at once. Stone’s successful, financially stable and a total Alpha which adds to the hotness level. There were twists I didn’t see coming. I believe my jaw hit the ground during on particular scene
Building Storm – Storm reminded me of a phoenix rising from the ashes from the moment I started reading this book. Storm is having to learn how to live a new normal but thankfully she’s not alone. Her family is amazing through it all. I think I was crying or fighting tears through most of this book, made me think if a friend who is two months into this exact same journey.
There are so many raw emotional moments from the beginning to the end. I have loved this series from word one but there was something about this book that grabbed me.
Tainted Saint – Saint captured my heart in this story for a few reasons. He is strong, protective and has a heart a gold. Also the fact he represented the Who Dat Nation didn’t hurt. 😁
Caroline is similar to Dani in personality which is helpful since they’re best friends. She gets a “brilliant” idea which could end up costing her and others everything though her heart was in the right place.
Steele Resolve – Bryon and Steele are a couple I want to hang out, actually I would love to hang out with the entire Hawke Family. They just seem like a group that knows how to have a lot of fun and each one of them love their partner and family like there is no one else.

This is a story detailing your typical brother/sister relationship at an early age. I loved it and I laughed the entire time. This reminded me of myself honestly. As the oldest child I was always the one that sabotaged anything my siblings did. And no matter how mad they were at me at the time we always laughed about it. And when we reminisce on those times now it still brings us immense joy and laughter. This story was no different from the trips to the beach we took. We would all spend our time making the most elaborate sandcastles just for our siblings to do anything they could to tear it down. It made beach days a blast. I love how the author was able to resonate on so many levels with me. I think this story will be an enjoyable book for parents to read to their children. It will not only bring laughs but also give parents a chance to teach their kids that no matter what siblings say, and do we are still family, and it is important to laugh off any anger. Another delightful story from a wonderful author I highly recommend.
This is book three in the fantasy series by this author. I have fallen in love with this series and could not wait to get my hands on this book. While these can be read as stand-alone stories, I feel to get the most of it you need to read the books in order. I think this will give you a better understanding of the story and the characters. Now, just as with the previous two books the author did a wonderful job pulling me into the story with her amazing characters. I feel like she personally connects with these characters just as I did. She does a wonderful job of making these characters so relatable and understanding. And the way that she uses them to tell this story is wonderful. Another remarkable story that I could not put down.

This is the second book in this series from an author I am quite familiar with as I try to read all her books. Since I started reading her books I have found that I cannot put them down because she pulls me in from the beginning chapter. This was no different. She has a way of making these characters feel like they are friends or family that you have known your entire life. I loved that she took a reality TV show and made it seem like something that I would want to do. Except I do not think I would ever be able to marry someone I have never met. That to me just seems like an accident waiting to happen. The main characters in this book were steaming up the pages with their chemistry. This was the one thing I questioned because while you can immediately have chemistry with someone I just do not believe it is possible to be “in love.” More like be in lust with one another. And while that may have been the actual case with these characters they did end up with an amazing love story. It was quite a satisfying ending I thought. I highly suggest you read this book as well as her others if you are ready to laugh, cry and wet yourself laughing aloud. Delightful story. Cannot wait to read book three in this series.

Carl and Mira are not just brother and sister, but they are also enemies. They squabble over everything, cannot agree on anything, and are constantly bickering. When their dad takes them both to the beach one day, Carl builds a sandcastle that Mira quickly destroys. Carl keeps rebuilding the sandcastle, making it better and stronger, but Mira keeps finding ways to destroy it.
This book was clearly written with the intention of showing that siblings can disagree, bicker, have different likes and dislikes and still love one another. However, the entire book was based around Mira and Carl arguing without there being any resolution and without there being any displays of affection between the two of them. I have absolutely loved other books by this author but found this one missed the mark and needed to have the story built up on a bit more.
As I was reading through, I could not help but wonder why the parents never said or did anything to discipline the children or get them to engage with one another in a more positive manner. While at the beach, Mira just comes across as a huge bully to poor Carl who only wanted to build a sandcastle. Mira did everything she could to destroy all the hard work Carl had put in to building his sandcastles. I felt terrible for poor Carl who had to rebuild time and time again because his sister was so cruel. And why did the dad not step in and stop Mira? He never tried to intervene or stop Mira from being so cruel. The dad never explained that what Mira was doing was bullying and that bullying was wrong.
The premise for the story was a good one because all siblings have arguments and will disagree. In the end the love they share for one another usually will come to the forefront. As an adult reading this I questioned why that aspect was not written into the story. I feel that the author could have added a bit more to the story and built on it just a bit more. It seemed to be missing important things that as an adult I can see and would know are wrong. As a child reading this though, it might come across differently and bullying may be perceived as being okay. Maybe I am being too critical and that certainly is not my intention. As I said earlier, I think this author is amazing and have loved other books she has written.

When he discovers that his girlfriend Madeline is pregnant with his child time is of the essence and he must destroy The Circle before his son is born.
When I started reading this book, I did not realize it was part of a trilogy, so I had not read the first two books. Despite that I found the book easy to follow and was able to read it without feeling like I had missed something. The story was unique, the storyline was entertaining, and the characters were relatable and lovable. I was especially intrigued by how the characters were able to walk the Dream Plain. I will definitely go back and read the first two books in the series and then read this book again.

This is a really sweet holiday romance that I really enjoyed. Its a story about second chances and happily ever after which always seem to happen around Christmas time. Our female lead is very reluctant and trys to avoid everything involving Christmas spirit but it will get to her as it gets to us all
Ginny is dreading returning to her small home town. her marriage ended when she left wanting bigger things. She left and ended her marriage to go affter her dreams and never look back until circumstances out of her control force her back to her home town and back to a past she thought she had left behind. Max’s life changed forever when Ginny left him. However his feelings for her never changed. Now she is back and he sees this as an opportunity to get her back. But have they matured and learnt enough to make a relationship work this tike around? Will the magical Christmas spirit relight the fire that once burned between them? Or will they realise that nothing had changed and they are still the same people they were when Ginny left?
It is a sweet holiday romance which is a perfect combination to be read in front of a cosy fire. It’s a story that you cant help but get dragged into and you never want it to let go.

Love this book. My daughter loved this book. The pictures are fantastic, and the story is adorable. Super easy to follow along with. A great story for all young children especially those who love pirates. Highly recommend this book, its great as a bedtime story!

Greek mythology retelling that leads into epic twists and turns. A good continuation of the first two books and a journey for a third relic to regain the Olympian favor in a twist to rewrite history. Taking place in Ancient Greece, the story leads through familiar characters with a brand new twist designed to captivate at every turn.
Writing as sharp and calculated as steel, Cavallaro wins again with this final installment. A satisfying end with a bittersweet feel hits hard. Very good read.

This last book in the Circle Book series, Freedom Rings, tells of the continuation of the story from the attempted murders of the Elders, a band of followers, the Circle, led by Soraya so they are ready to defend themselves when the time comes. At the same time, Soraya discovers and strengthens her special abilities while leading her team. Meanwhile, Shawn Kites, the CEO and owner of DNAgen Biolabs, is wanting to release a pill, Melacrit, across the world in order to eradicate races of colors. There is also the High Priestess Madeline who is pregnant with her son and the next heir, which is another plan of Kites to destroy along the way. Such a great story with testing of friendships, seeking a better future, discovering new abilities and much more. Unfortunately, I did not read the first 2 books, which is helpful in fully understanding the gist of this story. The concept and storytelling is great. Hardwick focuses on the nature of races, which I think many people can benefit from. In moments of tragedy and change, regardless of our color, background, or origins, it is always best to band together and put aside our differences.

My sister and I bickered back and forth quite a bit when we were young, so this book brought back those memories. It is a silly book, kind of funny for an adult, and possibly helpful to a child. Possibly. Great illustrations.
This is truly one of my favorite authors and I absolutely hands down LOVED this book so much. This is more of a contemporary romance, which is a different spin than what I am used to reading from this author, but also just as fabulous!!
What happens when something so unexpected that may turn out as a possible disaster lead to a spark of love? While in Hawaii for a job, Dorian has it all planned to do his job and head on home to his wife. When the job does not go as originally planned that leads him to meet Augustine. When Dorian and Augustine get to know each other, the sizzle between them is off the charts…but end up abruptly leaving Hawaii. Years later, upon a random chance, both Dorian and Augustine’s wives meet each other, then this goes to both Dorian and Augustine meeting each other again. Lots of laughs, get togethers, ideas and such that both couples become very friends. When a job puts everyone in danger that Dorian is working…this leads to a snowball of events. Will the couples survive and will there be any chance at romance?
It is hard not to give any spoilers …….I could talk about this book forever…..this is a definite must read in my eyes! Danger, romance, spark……….this story flowed so easily and hard to put down. Thank you Ms. Naomi Valkyrie for another fabulous story!
Joker is hiding more than a couple things from everyone. He is now in Tuscon Chapter, and they don’t know the true reasoning there too well. We also have Lady’s Man, who is on Joker nerves. Lady’s man is his chance to be himself again. The problem is Joker himself. So much happens. It’s different than the other books in the series, but just as great!
