License to Bite: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 1) AUDIO BOOK by Carrie Pulkinen . This is my first Audible and I actually enjoyed listening and Hollie done a wonderful job. I honestly liked listening a lot more than I thought I would. It was a nice change not staring at a screen. I absolutely love this author , I love her style of writing and the fact she makes me chuckle. Her characters are fun, relatable and fully developed . Jane and Ethan, she’s the Governors daughter and is used to getting what she wants. A girls trip to Mardi Gras finds her in the arms of Ethan who is a hot as sin Vampire . He gives her the gift of immortality and super strength. There’s one tiny issue she doesn’t like the sight of blood and usually faints. I found myself chuckling throughout this story. These two are funny and whitty. Find out what happens next by grabbing this and giving it a listen. I highly recommend and look forward to more audible books.

This sweet contemporary romance was just that sweet. Its a good story to pass a few hours with and perfect for the up and coming vday holiday. Its about a florist who was in love with her best friend until he moved away and broke he heart. They have a second chance at love when he comes to stay at the b&b above her flowershop. It was a cute read. It wasn’t my first book by this author and even though it wasn’t my favorite I am looking forward to reading more by them. Happy Reading!
This was my first book by Ms. Ferguson and it was a very sweet romance book. The story revolves around Mia and Noah and with their young love they experience some growing pains. Each character has a tragic history that gives you some depth into who they are. I thought the author did a great job of keeping the story moving, brining in different aspects and showing that there is a time and place for everything. I read this book in one sitting and enjoyed it so much. If you like a sweet, clean, contemporary romance then you will love this book!

Mythical Alliance: Phoenix Team: The Complete Season by Claire has adventure, romance as well as suspense. Each book takes you on a journey that you don’t ever want to miss.
It was about Zariya Chanji who agreed to join MASC’s force. She had to prove that she was capable enough to find the killer and take on any mission that came her way. With five other teammates who didn’t know the first thing about her. She was to win their trust in order to succeed in the missions. She will stop at nothing to avenge her father.
This book had so many twists and turns. Each chapter had you at the edge of your seat. The adventure was never-ending. The romance was forever brewing. Each book had you looking deeply at each character in a different light. It has you questioning what is true and what is an allusion. The books were so much fun to read and to have all the books out at the same time is really satisfying for a quick reader.

Murder at Lolly Beach is the second book in the Eve Sawyer Mystery series by Jane Suen. I really enjoyed this cozy mystery involving Eve Sawyer. Eve is on summer vacation at Lolly Beach but is also interning with the Beach Beat reporter Jake Thorne. Jake tries to help Eve solve mysteries that are happening on the small town’s beach. Eve is dealing with a controversial food truck owner being attacked as well as her friend’s beach house being burglarized. More and more people become suspects and deep dark secrets begin to get uncovered in this small town. This story was a nice quick read, the author did a wonderful job keeping me interested and on my toes throughout. It was a thoroughly enjoyable read that I would suggest to others. I look forward to reading the other story in this series.

Stormy’s Thunder: Satan’s Devils MC Utah By Manda Mellett
I absolutely loved Stormy and Cat’s story. We have met Stormy previously and he comes off as a total a**hole, but I was hoping there was a reason for that. We learn in this story what those reasons are. I found myself rooting for Stormy and Cat just as hard as they were fighting for each other. Cat has also been through a lot and unfortunately we see her go through more in this story. These two are meant for each other and I completely fell in love with this book as I do with every single book I have read from this author. Manda Mellett always gets all my emotions invested in her stories and that makes her one of my favorites. I don’t want to give anything away, I will just say that this is a must read. I highly recommend this book.

Stone of Destiny by Nadine Travers is an absolutely amazing action packed adventure, one that will keep you hooked from the very first page. This is book one of Juniper’s story, and i admit, i am already addicted and need more! This is not my first book by Nadine, so i went into this excited, and came out of it ready and needing more. Nadine has truly outdone herself with this detailed, engaging, work of art! If you are a fan or the paranormal, this author is definitely for you. I recommend this book, as well as the rest of Nadine’s work! I look forward to seeing where this story goes, and seeing more of Nadine’s world!

Murder Creek is my first novel by Jane Suen. It’s also the first novel in the Eve Sawyer series. This story was a quick murder mystery.
Eve Sawyer is working through her journalism degree and decides she wants to investigate a missing persons case a couple hours from home for her final paper.
When Eve arrives to town and starts asking questions some of the locals are helpful and others are hostile about the questions. Ultimately Eve finds the answers she is looking for.
I enjoyed Eve’s character and love that there is more to her series to get to know her better!

At Once, is book 2 in the Adams Brothers series by Mindy McKinley. The Adams brothers aren’t looking for love, that is until the one woman comes along. We already saw Dom find his love in Lula, now it’s Mason’s turn. Mason and Gabi are just too cute together, they have great chemistry, and the build-up to them getting together was full of sparks. Gabi’s ex was a little added suspense. Looking forward to reading Seb’s book next.

I give Stone of Destiny (Juniper Samoni Trilogy Book 1) by Nadine Travers, 4 stars.
This was a very good urban fantasy packed with suspense, action, and all the emotions you can fathom. The author does a good job of throwing in surprises that keep you guessing. If you have read the Supernatural Intelligence Agency series, then you will already be familiar with the characters in this book. Juniper is a good main character and I cannot wait to see where the next books lead us in her life. The book splits between the different characters as did the previous series, and the only disappointing thing to me was that for a trilogy named after her, I would have like to see more of her point of view. Other than that, it is an interesting story that takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions and you will be on the edge of your seat until the end.
If you are a fan of action packed urban fantasy, this book is for you.

The Graceful Ghost by Eleanor Dixon was a really good read! It started off a little slow in my opinion, as an adult, but got better as it progressed. This was a very sweet story, and definitely a hit for all ages. I loved the sweet characteristic of Grace the ghost, and how Lauren overcomes the fears and guilt that bothers her. The character development was great for every character. This was the first book I’ve read from Dixon, and I can’t wait to read more in the future!
What an amazing adventure that was!! The story was told from many points of view. It was very interesting reading all sides to the mission. The love stories, of course, are what kept me intrigued the most. I wanted so badly to know everything about all of these team members and their fated mates! Magic and all of the different creatures that it derives from is my favorite part of reading!!

I liked this story. It was a light hearted look into the life of a ghost who was on a mission to leave the school she was haunting and see the world. The journey Grace went on so that she could accomplish this was difficult and had some twists and turns. I had not really read a book that was told from the point of view of a ghost, so I found this book a refreshing change. Eleanor Dixon is a good author and I look forward to reading more from her.
Athalie (Sacrificial Chronicles Book 1) by Jordan Elizabeth. This book was soo good. Its not my usual genre but I loved it and it kept my attention turning the pages as fast as I could! Its the story of Athalie has a lot of responsibility on her shoulders. She is to be the sacrificial lamb for her tribe but the Gods don’t see it that way they resurrect her and give her the task of saving the world. No biggie right? Somehow the Emperor has gotten his hands on a weapon that will not only take down the enemy but it will destroy their whole world. Athalie has to find the tailsman who can negate the power of the weapon. This sends her on a journey of all journey’s. Heading to Neoma she tries to talk to the High Priest but he does not believe her and locks her away so that she can not keep him from unleashing the weapon. Will Athalie be able to escape the prison the High Priest has put her in and if she can escape will she be able to save the world? Such a fun, fast paced adventure.

In Titanian’s Phoenix, Victoria Saccenti shows Maya Brown’s discovery of the truth behind Anna’s stories. Mays arrives home from work and is drugged by an unknown assailant. When she wakes up, she finds Anna has also been abducted. Anna assists Maya’s escape with magic and advises her to find Soren or Brant. When she arrives at the bar, she asks the barmaid where to find Soren. The large Titan appears suddenly behind her, causing her to faint. He has been expecting to claim Maya as his mate. Before her arrival, Soren had been watching a meeting between a man, daemon and an elf about production of something that would change the dynamics of the magical realm’s existence. Maya is about to embark upon a journey into the magic realm.
There is nothing negative to say about Titanian’s Phoenix. The descriptions of the scenery and the well-developed characters allowed my full engagement with Saccenti’s story. I felt the frustration that Maya felt when she didn’t understand how Soren could be amorous one day and dismissive the next. I was suspicious of Talaith’s quiet role as a powerful seer. This is a story that will captivate your mind and keep you begging for more. I sincerely look forward to reading the other books included in this series. I recommend this book for mature adults due to the explicit scenes, violence, and profanity. These elements do not detract from this five-star novel’s quality.

This is the story of Juniper Samoni, she travels the world on missions to retrieve relics and she has just come off of one mission and is debriefing the elders when we join her, she is recalling her last mission, it was successful, but she came across some unusual activity while she was returning, she was attacked by an opposing group which was made up of a quartet who do not normally work together and she was also rescued by someone while she was in the middle of it all, which was fortunate as if he hadn’t helped her out, then she probably wouldn’t have been where she is now.
While Juniper is going through all that, the Lady in charge of that mixed group is angry that she lost the relic and that the group failed her, but she is ready and has the location of the next relic and the group she wants to go after it, it is the Stone of Destiny, it holds the power to control people so that they will follow whoever wields it and it lies in Scotland and she sends her chosen group on their way there as soon as they are physically able to. Meanwhile Juniper is debriefed and has returned to her apartment to rest, but is waylaid by her friend who she has asked to look into a few things for her, however, she hasn’t found anything useful, but she finds out some other news instead and it increases her suspicions and makes her even more stressed about the situation. She talks with another friend who reveals that she is worried about her and that she has a bad feeling about the current situation, but she cannot pinpoint why and needs to do some more digging, as she leaves Juniper to rest, Juniper is hoping that she actually will as she has a feeling she might not get much of a chance in the near future.
The next thing Juniper knows is that she is dreaming of a cry for help, it is a stone and it is calling to her, she knows she has to go to the Isle of Skye, but she has no idea what will be waiting for her there, or whether she will be able to physically manage it on the little sleep that she has, but she has no choice, so she packs and gets ready to go on another mission, but before she leaves, her friend gives her a ring which supposedly matches her energy, but before she can ask for more information, she has left.
Will Juniper manage to find the Stone of Destiny in time, or will the worst case scenario come to pass? Will she run into the mysterious stranger who helped her the last time, or will the enemies she is sure that she will be encountering? This is a journey of twists and turns, the unpredictability will leave you wanting more and the amount of action contained in the pages will increase your investment in the characters.

Mythical Alliance: Phoenix Team: The Complete Season by Claire Luana is made up of the 6 books of this series. It follows Zariya, a powerful half naga, on her quest to find out who is responsible for the death of her father. However, she doesn’t expect to find out her father was leading a double life, a life that she is drawn into as a member of the Phoenix Team, part of an elite secret organisation challenged with maintaining the safety if supes. As part of the elite team she must get to know her fellow team mates, track down those who betrayed her father and learn how to be a phantom. This series is really enjoyable, each book is a different mission so can be read on their own but I liked having them all together as it was so much easier to jump into the next story. As the books progress you get to know more about the other members of Phoenix Team and learn their stories. I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of fantasy.

I fell in love with Hartwood in Moonlight and Belladonna, so when I saw there was a Valentine’s Day themed one I knew I needed to read this story soon! I love how Jae Dawson has created this sleepy and perfectly sweet small town that I feel like would be perfect for me to live in. It just takes you away with her descriptions and each of the stories that take place there. This one brings us the story of Rose and Liam. Rose is the perfect hopeless romantic and uses that to her advantage with her matchmaking skills. Liam has come home because life threw obstacles his way in his career as a surgeon. These two will make you fall in love as they do and love every moment of it. This is one you don’t want to miss and I can’t wait to see what other books we get in Hartwood.
This is one series you do not want to miss and having the first six books, or the complete first season in this case, is a perfect way to devour this gem of a series. I was hooked right away with the detail in these novels. They make you feel as if you are right there with the Phoenix Team and the characters as they traverse and manage to make it through this inventive and fast paced world that Claire Luana has woven masterfully. This series kicks off with a woman who is facing the death of her father and figuring out this world she is thrust into. Nothing is what she has believed it to be her whole life and she is forced to make sense of it fast. The adventure and the intrigue is really fast paced and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat as they try figuring out what could possibly come next. Every book builds perfectly on the previous and this makes you feel as if you are in the thick of it. I am anxious to see what may come next!

This was an interesting listen, can’t say as it’s the type of thing that I would normally go for, but when I got into it, I did find it enjoyable. This is the first book in the Gray Ghost series and follows the characters, Alex and Olivia. So, Olivia is from a well to do background full of political maneuverings and arseholes in suits just waiting for some other arsehole in a suit to slip up and show their weakness, and she wants out (can’t say as I blame her really). She sees her marriage to Alex as the pot of gold at the end of the shitty political rainbow and her ticket out from under the stifling thumb of her family. Olivia had no fears that her plans would ever be foiled, except Alex’s career plans go from being a police officer to getting involved in the political world that she has so desperately tried to steer herself away from. There are some great twists that I genuinely didn’t see coming, and while I didn’t feel overly attached to the characters, I was intrigued to find out where the story took them, so there’s something. I don’ know how I feel about listening to the rest of the books in the series, as and when they come out, simply because, as previously mentioned, this isn’t really my cup of tea, but I might just give them a go. McKinley is an adept writer who really keeps the reader hooked so I don’t suppose it would be all that bad. One problem I did find was that the narrator had a really soothing voice, so much so that I found myself dropping off. Still, I managed to blink myself awake in order to get to the end. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good thriller with plenty of twists and turns and intrigue and all that jazz. McKinley’s work will not disappoint.

I always know that I am in for a treat when I pick up a book by Manda Mellett. This one is the second installment of the Satan’s Devils MC Utah chapter, you should be okay to read this as a standalone because it does recap fairly nicely in the beginning of the novel. I personally would recommend that you start with at least the series first book before diving into this one simply because this is a series that does a lot of interweaving and we even see some of the older series characters pop up. I feel like I am visiting family at this point when I dive into a Satan’s Devils book and that is a feat that I have only found in a few other series I follow. I won’t divulge much more than this is Stormy’s story and it sure does not disappoint one bit. I think details matter here so I won’t give much more for fear of ruining things. This is one you do not want to miss out on though and will knock your socks off with some intriguing twists and turns.

This is book 1 in the series and I listened to this as an audiobook. I really enjoyed this book, it was light-hearted, full of humour and a little romance. Ethan was convinced Jane was his reincarnated fiancee but soon discovers that wasn’t the case, in fact, she’s the complete opposite. Jane was what I imagine to be a southern belle. With her fathers position in politics, she was able to talk her way through any situation, which seemed to frustrate quiet and reserved Ethan. I loved the chats with her best friend Sophie and the way she handled every situation. The narration by Hollie Jackson was brilliant, the accents and the delivery really added to the listening and helped immerse me j to the story.

Holy Pete this book literally took my breath away so many times while reading it! I was unaware this was the second book in a series and will now be going back to devour the first in the series as soon as possible, but it really didn’t hinder my ability to enjoy and understand this one. I am a fan of Abbie Roads and her other works but this book has to be my all time fav of hers now. I could not put it down until I knew how this beautiful disaster would turn out. Do not expect this to be your typical romance because it so is not. This sucker throws all the punches and takes your mind to a whole new level. The characters are deep and draw you in that much more. I can’t really give details in this review because I will not ruin the thrill of the ride for anyone. This is one I promise you do not want to miss though. I can’t wait to see what comes next and what the first book will hold for me as well.
I have had the chance to check out a holiday novel by Evelyn Sola a few months ago, and I enjoyed it. I knew this might be a bit different but holy cow the angst was real and the drama in this book was not only thick and entertaining it was full of a meaningful topic both to myself personally and the rest of the world right now. I loved how this interracial couple faced the obstacles and tribulations head on together. It was blatant this is a topic close to Sola’s heart because she never once shied away from the things to sugar coat and make it an easy read. I was gripped from page one and could not put this book down until I knew how it ended. The Clark family along with Jacob and Sandy will draw you in and hold you captive as you cheer for them to find their happily ever after. I cannot wait to dive into the next book in the Clark Family Series.

I normally enjoy this authors work. This one I struggled to connect with the characters and the story just didn’t do anything for me. Well the mystery side of thing did surprise me. Not sure what the problem really was with the rest, Just that I felt bored while reading at times.
The idea for the story is a good one and throw in a little mystery and BAM an nice read. The characters each have their own lives before he “hears her voice” and they come together. I did like the honesty that Riley had and used frequently.

Capturing Fate is the second book in the Fatal Truth series. It can be read as a standalone. Somehow, I missed the first book in the series but I was able to pick this one up and read it without getting lost or feeling like I was missing anything. I’ve read other books by Abbie Roads and loved them so I picked this one up without even really paying attention to the description. I was not disappointed. This book sucks you into the story immediately and keeps you turning the pages. Capturing Fate is full of suspense, danger, and mystery as you trace the threads that connect all of the pieces together. I love a gritty, dark, romantic thriller, and this book checks all of the boxes.
