Stormy’s Thunder is the second book in the Satan’s Devils MC Utah series. It can be read as a standalone. For anyone new starting the series with this book, the background recap in the first part of the story will catch you up. If you’ve been following the series for a bit, you might find the first part of the story slow during the recap parts. I am so glad we finally got Stormy’s story. It was driving me nuts not knowing what was going on with him. Poor guy had a hard life. And, Cat – oh my heart. Honestly, I’d like to say more, but I can’t without potential spoilers because it’s all so interwoven together. If you have triggers around violence toward women, proceed with caution. After this story, I’m interested to see if Pip gets a book in this series or if he’s going to show up in the Blood Brothers series.

I’m a sucker for a good plot, down to earth characters and a love story. And oh boy, did this story deliver and some. The story starts off with you stepping into this magically world with mythical creatures, humans and then you meet Soren – The tall, handsome, gets you weak in the knees, Titanian warrior that is not only trying to solve a murder mystery but also trying to find his mate. In his search, he finds Maya – the beautiful, witty, smart and charming human. I absolutely fell in love with these characters individually but when these two came together – the chemistry that Victoria Saccenti writes is perfectly done. I highly recommend this book to anyone that likes adventure, supernatural beings and a good, hit you right in the heart, love story.

This was one of my favourite retellings so far! The way she writes this story is magical and I loved it. I can’t wait for the rest of the series to come, it was a good story. I really liked that we have the regency period and it has the full beautiful ball gowns, chivalry, and proper etiquette. Melinda was a really interesting character and I love the interactions she has with other characters. It’s certainly a good story and when fairy blood meets tall, dark, and handsome you know it’s going to be good! Really enjoyed the book can’t wait to see where it’s going to go in the series.

Don’t Worry I Still Love You is a short contemporary romance by Marie Skye. This book is completely amazing. It had me laughing out loud one minute and bawling my eyes out the next. To me that is the true measure of a book. This is that book.
Perrie and Ash have have a tumultuous relationship, to say the least. They have known each other since university. On again off again, but no real communication between them, until they become roommates. That is as far as I go, you will need to read the books order to find out what happens…..It is definitely worth it. And that is just one book in this anthology, so what are you waiting for? I really loved these books. They are full of action and adventure which keep you gripped from the very first page.
Each book can be read as a standalone as each book deals with a different mission, however if you read them in order it builds builds characters better and makes the overall explanation of the big baddies easier to understand as the books progress.
I can’t recommend these books enough. I was hooked and read them all in 2 days as I couldn’t put them down.

At Once by Mindy McKinley is book two of the Adams Brothers series.
Gabi is working really hard to make sure the first big project G&K Designs works on is great. To do that she needs some really great furniture. Kylie takes her to AdamsMade and that’s where she meets Mason for the first time. Gabi is still healing and doesn’t expect meeting Mason to stir feelings in her. She’s just going to have to keep him out of mind. That would be easy if they didn’t end up working together on this project. Mason didn’t expect Gabi to say no but the more time he spends with her the more he wants to spend with her. Can Gabi and Mason work together and work on their connection as well or will everything fall to pieces?
I really enjoyed this book. The characters are great and I found myself chuckling every now and then. It was such a great read I think I read it in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down!!

Crave is book one in the Clark Family series by Evelyn Sola. I was inquisitive from the very first moment I laid eyes on this book. Then my desire for more became insatiable the further I got into the story. The author sated my appetite for perfection with this amazing, emotional and soul deep love story. Crave had every emotion imaginable and then more. It had just more everything. This story was about captivation from the very moment Sandra and Jacob set gazes on one another. The story was about not looking for love and finding it at the most unexpected moment. It was about betrayal, family, friendship and forgiveness. Anticipation was a feeling I was very familiar with while on this journey with the Clark Family. Jacob and Sandra were from totally different worlds, yet despite their different upbringing and lives, formed such a connection, that it makes my heart so full just reliving their journey. Their love was endless and absolute. Their struggles and differences just made me fall for them more. They fought for each other. They fought with each other. They conquered their world together. I absolutely loved each characteristic of every player in the game, and cannot wait for more in this series. Evelyn Sola’s deliverance of this unforgettable love story is commendable. I applaud you, dear author, as you have given me as a reader a special gift, and it’s one I will never forget. 5 stars.

Night justice by India Kells was such a pleasant experience. It had everything in it….. Take no nonsense Female MC…. Check Vigilante with an obscure sense of justice…. Check Common goal that brings them together….. Check Two people with out of this world chemistry…..Check India Kells did an amazing job writing this story. It felt familiar but also brand new at the same time. Dan Price’s narration of the book definitely brought this book to life. I can’t wait for the next installment.

This book grabbed my attention from the beginning and kept me hooked all the way until the end. This book is full of suspense, danger, action, magic, and wonderful characters. The author did an exceptional job making me feel like I was right in the story with her storytelling rich in detail. I found myself at the edge of my seat and turning pages quickly to find out what was going to happen next. I highly recommend this book. I cannot wait to read the next one.

Holy Cow! What a wild ride. I’ve read every book in all the different Chapters of Satan’s Devils MC. What I love about them is all the characters crossover occasionally from one to another. I had my opinion about Stormy going into this story and again Holy Cow! But the more I read and the little flash backs in time gave me a whole new perspective of who he is what he’s been through. His story like the others will have you feeling like you are on a emotional rollercoaster ride. I’m not going to give anything away but know this he came into this story with a bang will he go out the same way? Manda Mellett is by far one of my favorite authors and she’s pretty much ruined me but I’m ok with that. I can’t recommend reading this whole series enough. I highly recommend reading this book. You wont be disappointed I know im not. I can’t wait to see what she brings us next.

Em and Joel’s story was entertaining to read. Em knows what she wants out of life…which is currently to complete her PhD and make a difference in the world. She does not have time for, nor want, a relationship…despite what her large Greek family wants for her. More importantly, her dad is constantly pushing guys her way hoping that she will fall in love, have a large Greek wedding, and settle down to start a family. She is already not looking forward to the guy her dad has set up for her to meet at the wedding she is in. Joel is a successful business man that is currently working on a deal with a large developer. When the man he is trying to make a deal with says he should meet his daughter, Joel doesn’t want to say no for fear of losing the deal. When he meets Em, though, she is nothing like he expects her to be. She is smart, opinionated, and so much more than he bargained for. With neither of them wanting a relationship, and her interviewing for a job at his company, will they be able to keep a secret hook-up going…or were they destined to be a one-time fling? This book was entertaining…and you knew Joel’s past would surface at some point. He guards his past so closely that you know something bad has happened which will continue to affect him. And it was interesting to watch Em evolve from the woman who wants nothing to do with any type of relationship to possibly falling in love. Characters from the previous books make appearances in this story so it was fun to see what they were up to. Overall, another good book in the series.

The Longest Run: a Ski Patrol Rescue Romance (Lawson Family Book 4) by Tracey Cramer-Kelly. I was definitely looking forward to this one because the others have all been so good. And I liked this one a lot also. This one got me a little more emotional invested than I was expecting, I definitely felt a need to have a talking to with the characters but sometimes that’s when you know it’s a good read. I do suggest reading these in order just for an all over better enjoyment. The characters are complex and I found myself drawn in from the get go. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. This author definitely has a way with words. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Four stars and highly recommended!
This is the first book I have read from this author and she now has a new fan. I love a good paranormal story but she exceeded all my expectations. This could be read by Jr High students as well as adults. The characters will draw you in and you will not stop until you are finished with this book. There are a lot of good lessons in the storyline that most teenagers should learn. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.

I read Don’t worry I still hate you by Marie Sky. The concept instantly intrigued me and after the slow/ confusing beginning, I really enjoyed it. Ash and Perrie’s story was a very funny, short read that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster.

Not only was this my first Carrie Pulkinen book, but it was my first ever shifter book. Not knowing what to expect I went into it with an open mind and I absolutely loved it! Alice and Maggie are two light hearted fun loving girls that made it feel like the friendship I have with my best friend. They made me smile and laugh out loud several times. Enter Donovan and his mongoose and it was so “stinking” fun to read. I felt engrossed in the story, the characters were extremely well developed and everything flowed smoothly. This is one of the best books I have read over the past 6 months and I can’t wait for more. The story has a happy ending, but leaves a wonderful opening for book 2 and for the characters to grow even more. If you have never read a shifter book, this could not be a better choice to start with, it’s fun, not too serious, romantic, and overall a kick b*tt way to spend a couple of hours.

Thinking she is his late fiancée reincarnated he clams and turns her into a vampire. Jane wasn’t made for this lifestyle. How is she going to adjust will she? It’s a really fun listen as well.

Mindy McKinley has written this contemporary romance. Her story starts, and you become sucked in to it. I love the characters in this story. Gabi and Mason are the perfect couple. Their friends are great supporters. Strong women and hard working men. OK yes there are some hot interludes. That is what makes a great story by a creative writer. Such a fun read. I was immediately sucked into this story, with all the magical beings and action involved. The part about Maya being the destined mate for Soren was so sweet and watching their relationship unfold was also very sweet. Maya is a human and Soren is of the Titanian race, but Maya is not only human. Soren and his friends find out what Maya is truly capable of and the powers she receives and it is nice to see she is fitting in and grasping her new life. Their relationship starts of kind of iffy, due to Soren following the laws of his people, and for a minute I didn’t think Maya was going to accept their relationship but, they worked through it and came out stronger. I loved this couple and watching them go on an adventure to figure out who and which race was trying to destroy humans and other beings. It might be a long shot but for some reason I feel like Soren’s uncle Gustaf has something to do with it, he seems kind of shady. I loved all the characters in this book, each was very well written in and interesting to get to know. I hope there is another book, I can’t wait to see what is in store for these friends next.
Athalie by Jordan Elizabeth a fantastic four-star read. This is number one in the Sacrificial Chronicles series and I want more, I so nearly gave this five-stars, as in places it needed it, but then in others it did not deserve it. The drama and action will keep you on the edge of your seat, while we follow Athalie on her journey as she carries a massive burden, a burden for someone who is much beyond her years. I have high hopes for the next story in this series as I am sure it will continue with the great world building and just get stronger.

Ride with the Moonlight by Andrea Matthews a fantasy of a four-star read. This is number two in the Thunder on the Moor series and it’s a good idea to read them in order as this one does follow on from the first. This is an imaginative and interesting story, watching Maggie and Will with their struggles and believe me there are some real struggles, maybe a little too much. The setting is lovely and tells its own story, and it’s a great story, for me the struggle was just a little too much.

Murder at Lolly Beach by Jane Suen a fantastic five-star read. This is number two in the Eve Sawyer Mystery series and they can be read as stand-alone, as they each tell a different story. Eve is a very good storyteller, she has a passion for words, and that makes her a great journalism student. But this time her passion is in need of a break, in need of some summer rest, but she isn’t going to get it as the mystery is too strong. I love Eve as a character, she has a passion for solving things and words, do not miss this great series as you would be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this story. It is another version of the classic story of Cinderella. I loved how it had the elements of the classic story, the orphaned girl, a prince, and lots of magic. However what I found endearing is that it is set in more real life situation. Although there is some fairy magic it contains more realistic elements such as the respect that Miss Wychwood had for her family who took over her home when her father past. Even though they treated her as a servant she was always respectful to them.

At Once is book two in the Adams Brothers series by Mindy McKinley. This story was an enjoyable one. Gabi and Mason meet and sparks fly. Gabi is very reluctant to get back into the dating game after having her world ripped apart. Mason is not ready to settle down and is having fun just staying casual in his interludes with women. I git a real kick out of their journey. Their attraction was instant, but the development of their love story was beautiful with a slow burning intensity. I positively admired their passion and tenacity. A riveting read that I recommend. 4 stars

The Stone of Destiny by Nadine Travers is a paranormal fantasy story about Juniper. Juniper was an orphan at a young age and adopted by Lilandra, the mentor of the Witch Warriors. Juniper was extremely emotionally driven in her missions. In her dreams, magical stones would call to her to rescue them from evil forces. The book opens with Juniper using her limited magical powers to keep a stone from a group that was made up of a werewolf, a witch, a vampire, and a demon. Just when it seems that she is about to succumb to her enemies, a strange man comes to her aid, and she escapes to safety. While recovering, Juniper is called again by the powerful Stone of Destiny. A secret power that Juniper holds is becoming stronger the closer Halloween approaches. Meanwhile, a strange being has sent the evil group in search of the same stone. Donovan, the werewolf, is mated to Sophia, a fire witch. Cross unions are illegal and the mysterious Lady has promised to use the powers of the stone to change the laws so that crossing of species is no longer a death sentence. Unbeknownst to them, the Lady has a much more sinister plan and is using the group as mere pawns.
This book defines good and evil but there is actually good within the evil. The group fighting against Juniper is actually looking at making life better for all. They are extremely loyal to one another and on many opportunities, try to avoid conflicts with the Witch Warriors. When they encounter Lilandra, she also avoids killing any of her enemies. Juniper is very hot-tempered and acts without thinking about the immense amount of danger she places herself in. The strange man that saved her in the first fight starts following her, which she resents. For some reason, the young woman seems to think that she should always be alone. This attitude and lack of forethought does have disastrous results to others that want to ally with her.
I would recommend this fantasy book to young readers with caution to some profanity used. There is a lot of action and the fight scenes are not exceptionally gore filled. Most of the book is from Juniper’s view but occasionally shifts to the perceptions of the other main characters. I couldn’t help but empathize with Donovan’s intentions because, as an antagonist, he was literally trying to make a better life for everyone. The ending of this book allows a seamless transition to the sequel.

I really enjoyed this paranormal story by this new to me author. I haven’t picked up one of their books before but I decided that this one sounded good and had an amazing cover so I took the leap, I am so glad I did. The writing was good and the characters were fantastic. I cannot wait to get my hands on book 2 & 3 and I hope they’re just as good as this one! If you’re looking for a good paranormal story to spend the evening reading I would definitely recommend this one! Happy Reading!
