Luke is the fourth book in the Default Distraction series by A.S. Roberts. This series just keeps getting better and better. This last book has left me with a book hangover. I just can’t seem to let the story go. Luke’s story is is both heartbreaking and heartwarming and had my emotions all over the place. Ms. Roberts is detailed in her character description and she really put in all of the feels. This is my favorite book of the year. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Roberts.

Cade and Winter have history that left her heartbroken. It has been several years since Cade walked away, but now he is ready to show Winter that he is a changed man and worthy of her love once again. Being the drummer of Default Distraction may have had women clamoring to have their night with him, but all he wanted was Winter. Will Winter be able to move past the heartbreak and give Cade a second chance? Or has there been irrepairable damage that any chance of a future together is ruined?

Spoilsport is book 2 in the Pierce Brother series. Just like the first book I was hooked from page one. Even though I had to take breaks here and there (I was at work, haha) it was definitely hard to put down. The banter between Nadia and Luke was comical at times due to her sassy and sarcastic comments. Even though Luke was the more serious of the two, and bossy according to Nadia, I felt like they complimented each other well throughout the book. Even though this is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone. If you like books that have strong willed and feisty female characters then you will enjoy this book.

Unlikely to Fit is the second book in the Parker Lake Series by Olivia Sherwood. This Rom/Com had me laughing out loud sometimes and had me reaching for my box of tissues at other times. This book should be read after the first book just so you get the whole picture in the series. I think this is my new favorite by Ms. Sherwood. This story flowed from beginning to end and I just couldn’t put it down. This book features Breckinridge Henderson, who just moved back home with her husband. He decides to start a relationship with the head cheerleader. So, Breckin is not looking for love after having her heart broken. Griffin Stephens had a bad relationship years ago that he just can’t get over, so he is not looking for love either. When they meet, the chemistry is hot. Will they get over their trust issues and come together at the end? This was such a fun book to read and the secondary characters are wonderful. I hope we get a book about each of her friends. I highly recommend this book, series and author. Review @sunbarn

Not going to lie at first I was very confused at what was going on in the story and why. The description leant more towards a simpler way of describing while I enjoy the more high fantasy deep descriptions. Personally I enjoyed the variety of tropes and ideas that were used and hinted at to come in the next volumes that are coming. I am looking forward to the remaining volumes to come and will be sure to read this again when the next one comes out because I am sure I will need the refresher.

I don’t normally read M/M romance but I love this author and paranormal romance. And I am so glad I did. The only thing I would want to change is more! Just me being greedy! This story is a really great quick read. I love how Errapel is so patient and understanding with Acheron. To do what Acheron does takes a strong heart, but will it be strong enough to fight?
Russell Archey has written a great fantasy that fans of Lord of the Rings will enjoy. It is a dark fantasy that will keep you hooked to your kindle till you’re finished. The characters are incredibly well-written. This is a fantasy series I look forward to continuing. Be prepared to get lost within this story.

Merissa Racine has written an incredible thrillery cozy mystery. The MC Lauren is a stenographer, who is a very well-developed character. I have not come across a cozy mystery where the MC was in this career. It was a very interesting look into the career. The mystery was well thought out. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Book 6, but great on its own, loved the push and pull bt MCs.
4.5 stars rounded up. Book 6 in the Billionaire Bodyguards series, builds upon previous books but can be read as a standalone. Tenacious was a quick-ish read romance, taking about 4 hours to read.
I enjoyed the relationship dynamic between Allie and Nick. There is a history that we saw built up throughout some of the other books in the series but it is explained well enough that I don’t feel you HAVE to have read the others to follow along, of course reading them is well worth the time as the series just keeps getting better and better.
Here we see Allie and Nick as the Main Characters in a will they or won’t they scenario. Allie is a headstrong nurse who will do anything for her patients and to help others, and Nick is a bodyguard simply trying to protect Allie from the dangers that are swarming around her. Nick is not the best at communication, at times keeping things from Aliie when he thinks he knows best, which of course leads to drama filled moments, but those instances didn’t have me pulling out my hair crying out “WHY?!”
I enjoyed getting to see some old faces and catching up on what’s going on. And of course, we have the overarching themes of the “good guy” mafia connections and fighting trafficking that have been prevalent throughout the series. Content Warning for depiction of trafficking and abusers, as well as shooting and other “good v evil” battles.

This is book #2 in this series. I encourage you to definitely read this series in order because it is involved. It is a Mafia romance with all the elements you love – secrets, danger, and family drama. Sofia and Enzo’s story started when they were just children, and you are cheering them on hoping they make it. I loved their love story. I want to keep reading in this world!!

This was a pleasant short story. I wish it was longer to be honest. I’d love to once about Carissa’s childhood. The things shes seen. I’d like to know what life was like for Azrael growing up. I thought the relationship between Acheron and Errapel was beautiful and complimentary. I want to know what lies in there future. I also need background info on how the towns were set up. And also, SHIFTERS?! I love it. I wasn’t sure how I’d like it but this story had an amazing concept, characters were well developed and the story line was magnificent .
My goodness, this is my new favorite read from this author! You can read this as a standalone as it follows another couple than book 1, but a great series so I suggest you read it anyways! Following Breckin and Griffin, two people hurt by love and life. Not two people you would imagine being together but my goodness what a pair. I really loved this story and the characters. You couldnt help but root for these two, feel the pain of the both of them and just want to hug them and be friends.

I absolutely loved this story!! It had a nostalgic feeling to me for some reason and reminded me of stories I read as a teenager. I loved the way Luke and Nikita meet. I loved the way the relationship with Nikki and his daughter progressed. I loved seeing into Luke’s head, and felt his thoughts and lows were realistic. One of my favorite books lately! Ready to read the next one!

I wish there were more than 5 stars to give because if there were, I would definitely give this book so much more! I just loved this MM Paranormal Romance and though this story was short, it really packed a punch. Azrael, who is the high priest and Sovran tasks Acheron, is a vulture shape shifter to go to Mandara to help tend to a dying patient. When Acheron arrives in Mandara he meets Errapel and the mate bond is strong. Errapel is a nurse attending to Carissa, who is dying. Her wish is to die at home and then transition back to Kharon. As Acheron gets to know Carissa more as he writes down in her final journal her childhood memories and all the way up to adulthood, there is more to Carissa that you learn and the secrets she shares. More than anything, she wants their world to change and she feels that Acheron and Errapel are to make that change with their bond. Will love prevail between Acheron and Errapel? Definitely read and find out, you will not be disappointed. I am really hoping that there will be more to these characters and this book so I am going to keep my fingers crossed :).
Debra has done it again with a short and sweet book. We get to know Leann, Betsy’s sister in this book. Her and Len have a whirlwind romance and are adorable. This book will leave you feeling good and happy. Can’t wait to see if there’s another book coming in the series

Love’s Reverie by KG Fletcher is the second book in The Stardust Duet series. The first book in the series should be read first to get the full enjoyment of this story. I was so excited to see where this series would go after the amazing first book. A key, locket necklace, and a mirror have changed the lives of Phillip and Katherine. Will the two be able to conquer any obstacles put before them? This is a wonderful love story with time travel. The characters are great and you want the best for them. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Okay. First thing first: the cover? EYECATCHING. The title: intriguing. This was a bit of a “darker” book for me and I enjoyed it. This was my first book by Russell Archey and I’m excited for more! Ashes of Alydr was written with such description I could really feel and enjoy the world building that was taking place around me! I’m a HUGE sucker for elves and I definitely got my fix. I’m eager to read the rest of the series (because YAY more books!!!) and see more of the characters and work be fleshed out. I’m also really excited to learn more about Alda and it’s inhabitants. I’m a sucker for fantasy and this hit the spot for me! I can’t wait to read the next! Check it out y’all 💖

It took me a while to decide what to say when it comes to Twilight’s Curse by K.M. Wray. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was very intriguing. My first time reading a book in regards to Elven Fantasy. The Fantasy realm the author created seemed beautiful in exception to those characters who went against the grain and changed things. Nix, the Crown Prince Phoenix, is in hiding after watching his parents slaughter at a young age. Zoe, an elf with extremely strong powers, is the daughter of the traitors who killed Nix’s parents so they could rule the Twilight Realm. When they cross paths they have no idea how important they will be to one another. Nor are they aware that the same elf, Nate, was the one who mentored both of them. Escaping from the regent was the only thing Zoe could do to stop the experiments her mom kept performing on her. Tattooing her skin with different spells that contain dark magic, little does her mother know that the light within her daughter is too great for the dark magic, which Zoe uses to her advantage. Together Nix and Zoe have to help take down her parents and guide him to his rightful place, as King of the Twilight Realm.

Caught in Midnight Shadows (The Caught Series Book 4) by Sharleen Scott is a fantastic romantic suspense novel. This book is full of drama, action, danger, suspense, mystery and so much more. Luke by A.S. Roberts is book four of the Default Distraction series.
Luke hasn’t had an easy go of it. He often lets that define him. He was abandoned so he doesn’t let anyone close. He made it to the top but that doesn’t mean he’ll stay there. It’s not just him anymore though. He has to provide for his daughter. That’s where Nikki comes in. Nikki will do anything she can to help out her family, even at the expense of herself. She’s in desperate need of a job and that’s when she finds that Luke is looking for a nanny. Of course sparks fly and there is attraction between them but she can’t risk this job. She needs to provide for her family. Will the past be too much to handle or will their attraction turn into more?
I really enjoyed this story as much as the other books in the series. Nikki is a relatable character, always willing to help those she loves. I couldn’t get enough of this book!

LUKE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #4) by A. S. Roberts was another great installment to this series. Luke is one of the sweetest men that I have read about in a long time he’s constantly blaming himself for his past mistakes. However if there is one thing we can all agree in it’s that Luke is an amazing father that always puts his little girl first. Bring in Nikki as his daughters nanny and it’s love at first sight. Much like the other DD books this one is full of drama, romance, friendship, and so many twists and turns that you’ll be furiously flipping the pages. But will Luke ever see the bigger picture? Will Luke and Nikki be able to overcome their obstacles and be together? You’ll have to read LUKE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #4) by A. S. Roberts to find our for yourself.

Fate, Frankincense & Funerals by Naomi Valkyrie. I love Naomi Valkyrie so I knew this book would be great and I was not wrong! Its the story of Acheron a vulture shifter who feels a very strong pull to the city that he’s forbidden to go to. When he gets there he realizes its Errapal. Errapal is a nurse to the dying and I know I’ve been sent to help him. My attraction to Errapal is out of this world and I can’t deny it even though Vulture Shifters are forbidden to take a mate. As they spend more and more time together Acheron is more in love with Errapal than ever. Can they fight society and win to be able to be together? This is a great Paranormal romance that is steamy as can be. Its also very short so if you are like me you will fly through it in no time! Read this amazing story to find out what happen!
CADE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #3) by A. S. Roberts is one of the best books I have read this year. Having read the previous two books in this series I immediately wanted to pick this up when it got my Kindle. I was definitely not disappointed this book was filled with drama, romance, friendship, love, and so much more. A.S. Roberts gives us great characters, a plot that pulls you in, and an ending that will leave you filled with love and hope. Winter is a fiesty girl whose had her heart broken, but what will she do when the man who broke her heart walks back into her life? Will she let Cade back in or will she push him further away. I loved this as it is a book from Sofia and Enzo’s point of view. It has plenty of twist and turns and Amy gives plenty of detail and character building along the way to have us set. This story is surround around the mafia princess and her protector who took a blood oath with her in order to keep her safe. Who’s to say what really will happen. Why is Enzo so keen on keeping away but yet on still protecting her if he wants to stay away? Some secrets come out anyways. Read on readers!
This is a sweet spirited book with a little bit of action and romance. This is a great short read to put you in a good mood. This author gives you good details while keeping your attention and not allowing you to get lost in them. Betsy is adorable and you will fall in love with her and Nash.

This story is heartrendingly beautiful. This is one of the best books I’ve read in a very long time, if not the best ever. Amy Argent did an amazing job of pulling me into Will and Toris world as they get to know each other and Will struggles with such a horrible illness. There is so much raw emotion in this book that I teared up more times than I can count, but it was well worth it in the end. Even though I thought I knew what to expect when I began the story, I was left surprised and eager to read part 2 and see how things turn out. What can be more beautiful than giving a person that brightens your day a reason to hang on and fight a little harder and a little longer even if ultimately you don’t believe they’ll survive? This book definitely has me looking at life with a whole new appreciation.

I thoroughly enjoyed this MM paranormal romance which had me hooked from page one. This is a fairly quick read which I read in one sitting and I found myself completely immersed in the story. Vulture shifter, Acheron is shunned by society because he touches the dead but is safe in Kharon, when he feels a pull towards the city he makes the treacherous journey to Mandara. Arriving there he discovers that it was hare shifter and nurse Errapel that was to calling him to. Errapel is the nurse to the dying soul that Acheron has been sent to assist, and he is also his mate. However, vulture shifters are forbidden from taking a mate by law, but the pair can not help being drawn to one another. To stay together and have a chance at love the couple would have to not only beat the archaic laws but also fight society. I fell in love with Acheron and Errapel and really felt for them and their situation of forbidden love. The chemistry between the couple sizzled off the page and the characters were really bought to life by the authors detailed writing. The authors descriptive narrative also bought the setting to life, and she’s done a wonderful job of creating a whole new world and making it feel real. This was an enjoyable and engaging short story and one which I definitely recommend.

Twilight’s Curse (Twilight Realm Series Book 1) by K. M. Wray – Review by Allyson Ware
People always say not to judge a book by its cover. That is easy enough for me to overlook, but the title of the book is what catches my eye. When I started this book based on the title, I never imagined it would turn out the way it did. Does the title make sense now? Of course. However, when I read this book, this is what I imagined “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” would be about.
This novel is enveloped in a vast array of magic and uncertainty; within the characters, of course. Nix and Zoe each tell their story in a way that leaves the reader wanting more information. You get to watch these two find themselves through each other. I feel that this novel would be amazing for any uncertain soul; there are a few amazing lessons that have the potential to be incredibly helpful to anyone willing to take such advice.

Tenacious is the sixth book in this titillating Billionaire Bodyguards series by Via Mari. And it did not disappoint. Nick is a part of an elite security team and definitely knows how to get what he wants. Allie is a charge nurse and doesn’t have time or the want for a relationship. When they are around each other, they can’t hide the feelings that surface. I love how Nick’s dominance is just what Allie needs to start to trust and maybe they’ll be able to move past the attraction to what they really want… each other!
