Okay. First thing first: the cover? EYECATCHING. The title: intriguing. This was a bit of a “darker” book for me and I enjoyed it. This was my first book by Russell Archey and I’m excited for more! Ashes of Alydr was written with such description I could really feel and enjoy the world building that was taking place around me! I’m a HUGE sucker for elves and I definitely got my fix. I’m eager to read the rest of the series (because YAY more books!!!) and see more of the characters and work be fleshed out. I’m also really excited to learn more about Alda and it’s inhabitants. I’m a sucker for fantasy and this hit the spot for me! I can’t wait to read the next! Check it out y’all 💖
