My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Chi: A Short Story 1 (Under Ground #0.1) by Alice Rachel is part of her Under Ground series. It is highly recommended that you read the previous books before this one, they will give you information on characters and help you understand where things are at. This story is told in the POV of Chi and it starts before he meets Thai. If you have read any of this series then you will understand when I say, that it was great seeing Chi’s version before he met Thai. We have heard from a few other characters before this point. But you will enjoy his version of what was happening. This is a short story but it keeps you engaged. Find out what Chi’s version of things.

Chi is a twin, he was never asked to be born into a family that is only allowed one child. He has never wanted to be a burden on his family but now they are gone. Are they dead? Are they safe? He has no idea. He has spent his life hiding and running. He is determined not to hide anymore. What will happen to him? Is he safe? How will he survive?

I am not sure how many of Alice Rachel books I have read now but each one has a piece of the puzzle. Just when I think I know what is happening before and after, there is another version in someone else’s POV. Alice loves spending time with her husband and guinea pigs. When she is not writing, she teaches French, reading and drawing. This is a fast reading short story that will have you reading until the end. I read it in one sitting and I think you will too. You will enjoy Chi’s version of things and will want to see what happens next. I highly suggest this installment of this series as I know you will want to see what happens next in this series.
