This is an absolutely FABULOUS book! More children’s books should be open to the idea that children can learn on a more advanced level. I am enamored with the beauty of the illustrations! This is a cute little picture book that I think my grand daughter will enjoy. She can see the pretty pictures and as she gets a little older and can read she will enjoy reading it to herself. Now we can just read it to her and show her the pictures.

It shows the different places that people can live, in the city, in the country, etc. Check it out your little one will enjoy it too.

This book is yet another fantastic adventure from Oscar and Emmy. This was a perfectly timed read for us as we were due to visit the doctors, which my son really doesn’t like. This book was a great way to show him how ever animals have to visit the doctors, and that it can be fun. He didn’t enjoy it still but he loved pointing out all of the things that were similar to the story we had just read – and all of the things that were different.
I loved how this author finds a way to connect with her intended audience every time. The books teach them something new without it feeling like they do. The stories are fun and entertaining, this one included. We are already looking forward to the next one we read.

The Oscar and Emmy series is one that has very quickly become a firm favourite in our household. The kids love learning more about their adventures with each new book and I think this one has to be the one they have enjoyed the most so far. One of our favourite things to do is visit Grandma (or Nanny as they call her) so they loved the idea of Oscar and Emmy doing the same.
The author has created such a fun and vibrant series that really entertains kids. It is teaching them some great things about pets and animals, but it is engaging at the same time. This is a brilliant series and I think one we all enjoy!

This alphabet book is beautiful! The words are very advanced but so rich! The illustrations are phenomenal! I absolutely adore this book for children! I would absolutely use it in my 3rd grade classroom to help my students develop a richer vocabulary! I wish I could print each photo out and use it as an alphabet line! At the end is a deficiency for each word as well! Truly gorgeous and enriching!

The illustrations in this book for each letter are great. My 9 yr old loved it. The words that they use raise the rigor for the kids but also has the definition for the words at the end. That was really awesome. This is definitely a great book for older kids and younger kids alike.

This was such a cute book that would be great for a quick story-time! The book was fun and simple to understand with clear illustrations that follow the storyline. There is a rhyming scheme that is sure to captivate children and allow parents and/or guardians the opportunity to further educate along the way. In general, the story itself is sure to capture the imagination of children. I would recommend getting the physical copy of the book because the illustrations are large and would be captivating in print.

What I really engaging story for children with different words. I was I little spectacle about this book at first because I was thinking that I didn’t even know these words myself, so having this as a children’s book throw me off. But my kids found it very enjoyable and the illustrations to this book were amazing and so wonderful to look at, that they went well with the words. this was a real engaging and delightful read with different words.

In this Porter and Midge installment, we learn about healthy snacks with CJ and Lorna. This book does a great job of teaching what foods are healthy for dogs while making it fun. The rhythm of the words is interesting and grabs children’s interest. The illustrations are colorful and cute. The authors also included plenty of snack recipes that young cooks can make for their pets. This book is a great resource for pet owners.

Being a preschool teacher and owner, I have read my share of ABC books. They are pretty much all the same. Apple, bear, cat, dog, ect….. This author’s version is so much fun. New more sophisticated words, they too know our children are so much smarter than we give them credit. I love reading and corresponding to my grandchildren. I also love the definition in the back of the book. Allowing us to educate our little ones. You’re going to love this book. It should be on the shelves of Every library. Let’s get away from those simple ABCs once our children get past word repeating, more challenging too!

Oscar and Emmy Visit the Vet is another excellent addition to a fun and educational series for children.

In this book, the children take their sweet kitties, Oscar and Emmy, to the vet for their yearly check-ups. The children and the kitties are slightly nervous, but the adults are great at calming their nerves. The book also highlights the importance of annual exams for pets.

The book’s educational value is a key highlight. It actively involves children in the care of their pets, teaching them about brushing their cat’s teeth, trimming their nails, and the importance of vaccinations. This fun and engaging approach to pet care education is a hallmark of the series. As always, the latest book is a fun and educational read that actively involves both parents and children.

This is yet again another great book from this author. I really wish that my kids were young enough as this is a great way to help children learn about taking their pets to the vet. The author has a great way to introduces subjects to kids and make it easy and fun to learn. The characters are realistic and the books themselves are very easy to read and understand. I really would recommend this author’s books to anyone with younger children. The author makes learning about certain situations really fun and easy and keeps the attention of the reader. All in all this author has a great series and also a great choice of characters.

What a fun story! This is a beautifully illustrated children’s book following Gramma and her grandsons. “Gramma” is an adventurous and fun lady who is always found doing some new fun activity and inviting her grandsons along. Anyone would love this Gramma and I hope one day I’m just like her! This is a sweet, easy to read children’s story and would be enjoyed by most children, especially if read to them by their Gramma!

This is a cute little story and I really loved it. This book would be a perfect fit for any child who has a pet that they would love to spoil. I liked how the recipes for different dog treats were included in the book because that will allow the children and their families the opportunity to make their pet treats just like CJ and Lora. This is a delightful book and I like this author. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves dogs and wants their children to love dogs and know how to take care of them.

G is for Gossamer: A Children’s SMART & SOPHISTICATED ABC’s Book by Miss Whitaker. First of all this is a beautiful book and its not just another ABC book. Its beautifully written and the illustrations are some of the prettiest I’ve seen. Its such a wonderful book for young children to learn their letters and words. It even has a glossary in the back for the words you don’t know. My 6 year old nephew really enjoyed this book! It would make a wonderful book for a baby shower, a birthday gift or for any child in your life. When your child can actually use a new word they learned from this book it all makes perfect sense! Such a great new take on your ABC’s. Pick this up for all the kids in your life and even the teachers as it would be perfect for classrooms!

This was an anthology of short stories that nicely ties up the REWIND series. Coming in having never read the series, I am a little behind but the author does give a list on who’s who and belongs with who. The stories are separate from each other but do tie in together nicely. There is a levelof steam withh this romance. The characters are unique and I found them to be well thought out and developed. I think this will be a great book for fans fo the REWIND series.

My littles old always look forward to reading about a Porter and Midge adventure and so am I. These books always find a way to combine educational content with fun interactive elements. The book is visually appealing, with colorful illustrations that capture the fun and creativity involved in baking. The recipes are simple, kid-friendly, and come with easy-to-follow instructions, making it a great tool for introducing children to cooking and responsible pet care.
We definitely can’t wait to try some of these ideas for the dog treats with our doggo. I can’t wait to see more from this series and author.

My son and I always enjoy books about Porter and Midge. We love the rhyming and the colorful pictures. They are educational, while remaining fun. Im not sure where Paws and Pastries falls into the series, but it would be a good first read, since it introduces us to the dogs and their owners. The picture of mom made me laugh, as it looks so much more realistic than the rest of the illustrations. This book is worth its weight, simply due to the recipes included. It is more of a dog treat cookbook, with a little poem/story preceding. We have ingredients for a couple on our list, and plan to try on our pup.

I love reading children’s books by Kim Ann and sharing them with my own kids. This book is so beautifully put together and a great lesson that, no matter where you live, or who you are with, your home will always be YOUR home because that is where love begins. Such a cute book to teach kids that it’s okay to be alone and it’s okay to be with your family big or small, and It’s okay to have a different house than others.

The idea of making homemade treats for their puppies does engage the reader. Most kids do want to make special treats for their dogs. This does show the reader what it’s like to bake treats in an ideal environment. The illustrations are very realistic and colorful to catch the reader’s eye with what’s going on each page. I do like the fact that the author does provide recipes and safety tips when you’re in the kitchen.

I love this series of books. They give great information in easy to read ways. I love the rhyming that are in these stories. The pictures are always cute as well. The story was short and sweet. I love the MANY recipes included at the end. I always find it such an awesome thing when extras are included at the end of stories.

WOW! The illustrations in this book are absolutely stunning! I had to go through it multiple times. I love that this is an ABC book that isn’t the same as all of the others. A for Apple, B for ball, C for cat, etc. It not only introduces new words, but prompts conversation. I read this with my 7yo son. He is at a 5th grade reading level but loved this book as well. I love that all of the definitions were in the back to help in case you didn’t know a word. As an advanced reader, I didn’t know one of the words myself. I hope more books like this are put out in the future. Especially with those stunning pictures!

Porter and Midge: Paws and Pastries A Kid’s Guide to Homeade Dog Treats (Porter & Midge Children’s Book Series). I love this series and I’ve shared them all with my 6 year old nephew and he loves them as well. He has a dog so this book was especially relatable to him. Porter is a Mastiff and Midge is a Greater Swiss Mountain dog and their owners are C J and Lora. C J and Lora are finding ways to make treats for Porter & Midge. This book includes several recipes for different treats for their dogs. There are cute pictures and the story is fairly short so that it will keep your young ones attention span. These are such wonderful books for your young ones library.

Beautiful illustrations take you on a story of the different places we call home. Has a rhythmic tone that will entertain young readers. I thought this was a fun story, engages you from the beginning and keeps you wondering what is next as you turn the page. I think this is a great one to sit and read with young children.
