I was hesitant to read Wrong for Him due to it being the third installment in the Love Lottery Series, but I was pleasantly surprised when I had no trouble following the story or characters. Very few instances in this book referenced anything from the other books in the series so it could easily be a stand alone read. Christi Barth has a well written story and amazing characters that are so well developed that I wished that I could be their friend! It took me a while to dive into Wrong for Him, but ultimately well worth it! I am looking forward to reading the other two books in the series, if in the wrong order. I would recommend this book to fans of friends-to-lovers and best-friend’s-sister romances.

Chelsea is a childcare worker who seems to have bad taste in men. Her brothers friend, who also happens to be her roommate, Tom, is tired if hearing about how bad these guys are. When Chelsea’s friend Nadia says that she should give a nice guy a chance, Tom in particular, he runs with it. What could go wrong showing the girl of his dreams how good she should be treated? Of course Chelsea has never seen Tom as anything more than her brothers friend, but could her feelings be changing? What happens when line get blurred and you go from being friends to something more?
These characters were enjoyable and very relatable in some instances. I have read other books by this author and have enjoyed them on different levels. I had fun reading this book and I look forward to the next one in the series.

Xia and Jordan are the best of friends and have been since their diaper days. Xia has been in love with Jordan for years, but he only sees her as his best friend…or so she thinks. After a night of drinking they cross the line from friendship to something more. Will they be able to remain friends or will their night together make things too awkward to remain friends? Will either of them be willing to admit that what they said while drunk was real? Read the story of Xia and Jordan to find out.
It was enjoyable as well as a quick and easy read. It helped me to pass the time on a quiet night during my NOC shift.

The Fisher Men X My Heart is the first book in the Fisher Men Series by Rebel Nicks O’Dey. This is my first read from Ms. Nicks O’Dey, and I must confess that I really wasn’t sure I would like this book- let alone love it. I had seen it advertised a few times, but hadn’t jumped to one-click it, as I had sooooo many books on my TBR pile. But after seeing some great reviews- my curiosity was piqued, and I wanted to find out what I had been missing. So, here I am, late to the party- and kicking myself that I didn’t get on board this great series when I first saw it. I have been missing out by not having this author and her sublime books in my life much sooner than now. Because this book, series, and author- are truly fantastic!!! I am so impressed by what an incredibly talented storyteller Rebel Nicks O’Dey has proved herself to be. This book/series is one of my favourite reads for the year, for sure. This story has so much going on in it, in a great way. From secrets, to suspense, a little mystery, plenty of steam, chemistry, drama, intrigue, tension, danger, emotion, romance, and so much more. I was pulled into the story from the very beginning and couldn’t tear myself away. I read the book in one sitting because I found it difficult to put down, even for a minute. I was so immersed in the story- so invested in the characters and the outcome of the story- that I really NEEDED to know how the story played out- so I devoured the book over the course of the afternoon/evening and loved every minute. I loved the storyline, characters, and Ms. Nicks O’Dey’s writing style so much that I read the first 3 books back-to-back! And WOW- colour me impressed! I am in love with the story- and completely enthralled by the wonderful characters. I wanted to be part of the group, hang out and banter with them, and become a part of their lives. This is how real and believable these characters and their story are- they made me want to be part of their ‘world’. And holy hotness- every single one of the Fisher Men have now joined my book boyfriend harem!!! When Samantha Reynolds moved next door to the Fisher family as a young teenager, she didn’t fully appreciate (at the time) how important the brothers would become to her, how much she would need and appreciate each and every one. She couldn’t possible predict the traumatic event that would cement their relationship- where the Fisher Men make a pact to protect her- a pact of friendship that stood the test of time. Each one playing their part. Morgan, Connor, Xander, and Zack give her the strength to move forward and live her life. But there was always one brother who was imbedded into her heart much deeper than the rest. Now she’s an adult, just finished college- and headed back to their hometown, determined to claim her man. Has she waited too long? Will he feel the same way? What happens when pacts are tested, deals are made, and secrets are revealed? Will she win her man- or lose them all? Throw in some danger, and I’m on the edge of my seat devouring every word- caught up in the developments. I really recommend reading this fantastic story to find out all the intriguing details for yourself. Don’t be like me and turn up late to this incredible ‘party’- you’ll regret not doing it sooner! The story is funny- with witty touches throughout the story. The banter, quips and antics had me smiling, and then laughing out loud. This helped balance the intense, emotional parts of the story which had me holding my breath, or really tugged at my heartstrings. The camaraderie between the brothers, and between them, Sam, their friends, and family, was captured so well. It was what made me want to be part of their ‘group’. I could go on and on about this book- but I still wouldn’t be able to do it the justice it deserves. It’s one of those books you really should read yourself to find out how fantastic it really is. Rebel Nicks O’Dey has earned herself a place at my ‘favourite author’ table- and I will most definitely be devouring the rest of the series- as well as exploring every other book/series in her catalogue of work. Brilliant!

Fictional-ish: A Friends to Lovers Romance by Natalina Reis
5 Stars
Love a good friends to lovers romance and this one was a bit different as it spanned many miles and much time apart and hurdles that made this story unique.
Scotland has always been somewhere I want to visit someday and this book took me there and made me feel as if I was there. Livie moved there to open a new bookstore and she had everything, well almost everything..She left her best friend who in her mind betrayed her beyond repair and as she tried to build a new life Kyle and the hurt he caused her was never far from her mind.
I loved this story, every part of it..I even loved to despise Mia and cant help it but I fell head over heels for Cal and cant help but hope that just maybe this author will let this story continue and let Cal and even Jenny have their own stories.
This is not my first book by this author and absolutely will not be my last. I love the way her words flow and grab a hold and not let go till the very last page.
I highly recommend this story and really anything by this author.

Elliot Prescott has one question for his ultra nerdy roommate and best friend, Fe Porto.
Why can’t he get the girl?
And she has an answer for him. Or maybe eight.
With five years of best-friendhood under their belt, they’re about to embark on the project of a lifetime. To make Elliot alpha.
The only catch? They have just four weeks to turn the video game loving Elliot, into a cocky, sexy, tattoo clad beast Fe has read about in her romance novels.
Can they do it? Or will the flitter of love that’s been brewing under the surface finally get the kindling it’s been longing for?
Taylor Sullivan is mom of three young (or not so young) children she loves more than life. She runs them around endlessly, hoping she looks presentable enough to be out in public, and day dreams about fictional characters. Maybe she’s crazy, or maybe she craves the Barbie games she played as a little girl a little too much, but that’s where her stories are born. It’s where they blossom, and grow, and eventually breath life on the pages of her stories.
She resides in Los Angeles with the love of her life, her children, and three dogs. She becomes giddy with excitement every time she hears from a fan, and would love to hear from YOU!
