Obedience (Ties That Bind Book 1) by Liza Snow – Review by Monique Espitia

Obedience (Ties That Bind)Obedience by Liza Snow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’m old enough to remember what a trip to the circus was like. The thrill and excitement as you sat it utter amazement watching the incredible performers do death defying stunts. The aerialists were always my favorite with the clowns being my LEAST favorite! All these feelings or intrigue and suspense came at me in full bloom as I read the story of Cassandra and Chandler.

So much angst and suspense to keep you reeling for days. And right at the end,,,,your heart drops with a cliffhanger! I hate cliffhangers only because I’m impatient as hell. But this will definitely keep me guessing on what the lies in store in the next book!

Read this with my little one and it was such a delight. My little girl reminds me so much of Alex. Always wanting to know the “how’s” and the “why’s”. We truly enjoyed going on this magical adventure with Alex and cannot wait to see what Alex comes up with next!

Euphoric Wonderland by Ryan M. Becker – Review by Monique Espitia

Euphoric Wonderland: An Eclectic Collection of Psychedelic Poetry to Stimulate the Senses and Open the MindEuphoric Wonderland: An Eclectic Collection of Psychedelic Poetry to Stimulate the Senses and Open the Mind by Ryan M. Becker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Probably one of my favorite books to date! The mix of poetry and musical references made my heart pound to the beat and my soul sing. Cliché, I know, however, I sometimes forget how much I love poetry and how the simplest poem, can induce such emotion from a person. Thank you for all the feelings! It was a great ride!

Right in Front of You (Morris Valley Gang Book 1) by Brooke May – Review by Monique Espitia

Right in Front of You: Volume One: Brinley & Adrian (Morris Valley Gang Book 1)Right in Front of You: Volume One: Brinley & Adrian by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book! Brinley and Adrian’s story was spell binding! Mr. Grump beloved by all his small town, find Ms. Sunshine who is running from her own dark secrets. Add in the small town setting, a group of fabulous friends, and endless opportunities to see the story continue as the other’s find their own ways! What is there not to love about it?!?!?! I pretty sure I visually inhaled this book in one sitting and I cannot wait for more. Read it and fall in love with Brin and Adrian just like the rest of us did!

Dawnbreaker: The House of Blood and Sun by Hadley Thorne – Review by Monique Espitia

Dawnbreaker: The House of Blood and SunDawnbreaker: The House of Blood and Sun by Hadley Thorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dawnbreaker is the first book I have read from this author. At first, I was worried there were too many tropes rolled into one story and I wouldn’t be able to keep up. However, Hadley Thorne does an amazing job weaving a tale of mystery and intrigue that hooks you from the start.

The story follows Connor and Niamh. Both are from two completely different worlds, or so you think. Connor is a vampire full of hate and revenge, Niamh is a fae princess who is next in line. Both are trapped in their own types of “cages” and when they find each other, they connect. When diaster strikes Niamh, Connor is determined to find her and bring her back and help her regain her memories. As their enemies hunt them down, they rely on each other to make it and their connection grows stronger and stronger. I absolutely cannot wait to read the next book as their story continues!
