Grave Digger Academy by C.A. King was an enjoyable read, and I am excited to read the rest of the series. Makayla is leaving for school and is not happy about what school she has been assigned to. As she makes friends and learns at school, she begins to discover that she may have a family history that has been hidden from her. This was a fast read that kept me hooked from the very first page to the very last page.

House in the Woods by Jessica Aiken-Hall was a marvelous thriller. It caught my attention and kept it through to the end. Molly is nineteen and taking care of her mother who has dementia. Molly soon learns there is a woman who has been missing for 20 years whom she bears an uncanny resemblance to. Molly decides she wants to help solve the mystery of the missing woman when she learns she was Molly’s bother Marc’s high school sweetheart when she vanished. This book is packed with mystery and intrigue.

Lillie and the Zayed learn many things about her past that explain what is happening now. I feel like I have grown to know and love each of the characters. This was an enjoyable sequel.

This surprise helps Tally deal with her loss. Tally accompanied her father to India. In India, children have begun being kidnapped so her father never wants her to be alone. She meets a boy named Balvan and they discover a horrifying secret.

Blue Summer Part One by Everly Taylor is sexy Fantasy read. The Zayed are feared by the humans including Lillie. Lillie is kidnapped by a sorcerer and then meets up with some Zayed after her escape. She discovers that these blue men may not be so bad after all. It had a slow start, but once it picked up I was hooked.

The Way to Storey by L.B. Anne is a fun Middle Grade book. Luella is an eleven year old girl who is homeschooled and lives with her Grandpa in the swamps of Florida. Her Grandpa has told her they are from somewhere called Storey. He has made sure Luella knows not to tell anyone about Storey. Grandpa has told her that if anything ever happens she need to follow the birds. When the unthinkable happens, Luella must follow the birds and she meets some wonderful characters along the way. This story will bring a smile to anyone’s face who decides to read it.
