A Sweet Christmas: A Sweet Confections Novella by Nicole Richards – Review by Renee Reads

A Sweet ChristmasA Sweet Christmas by Nicole Richard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This delightful, feel-good book was just what I needed to put me into the holiday spirit. The quick banter of the characters, from the very beginning made me smile. The author invoked the spirit of a good Hallmark movie onto the pages of this deliciously magical story. But don’t be confused this story line has some truly, steamy moments. The book made me smile and I kept reading to find out if things were too good to be true.

Saratoga Roan by Bree M. Lewandowski – Review by Renee Reads

Saratoga RoanSaratoga Roan by Bree M. Lewandowski
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Saratoga Roan by Bree M. Lewandowski starts off slow but builds up steam. There is so much detail written into the storyline I feel like I know what it is like to work on a horse ranch in Wyoming. The emotions of Rhett and Cassandra come across so strongly that I could feel myself getting frustrated or yearning for something to happen just like the characters were. This book does a wonderful job illustrating that things are not always what they seem. This felt like the beginning of a story that needs a series to continue expanding on all of the different characters and their relationship to one another.

Scarlett Princess (Lochlann Feuds Book 1) by Robin D. Mahle and Elle Madison – Review by Renee Reads

Scarlet Princess (The Lochlann Feuds, #1)Scarlet Princess by Robin D. Mahle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Scarlet Princess by Robin D. Mahle, is a tale full of adventure, suspense, and romance. The banter between Rowan and Davin is deliciously entertaining from the very beginning. This book encompasses many laugh out loud exchanges that made for an easy read. I found myself wanting to read the series that came before it, even though this story stands on its own. It left me on the edge of my seat, anxious for the next book.
