The Daredevil (WaterFyre Rising Book 2) by Nadia Han – Review by Shelly Kittell

The Daredevil (WaterFyre Rising, #2)The Daredevil by Nadia Han
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a romantic suspense that is exciting and full of drama. Someone is sabotaging Royce’s business and it goes back a long way. Michelle has come to Iceland to use her blog to help market a new line of cosmetics. Right off the bat you can feel the sparks ignite between these two. The author has written in such a way that you feel the ignition. There is a little spice in the book, it totally fits and keeps the ice away. I found the suspense and adventure keeps your adrenaline going as you are reading. You feel like you’re in the story. I felt engaged from the beginning. I’m becoming a fan of this series since The Mastermind. The protagonist is a strong woman that can get through the challenge and let’s the man help her at times. She’s brave but knows when she needs help. The plot was outstanding. I enjoyed trying to figure out who did it and what was going on. I like it when a book gives me this kind of plot along with romance. Big fan of romantic suspense here. I loved this book and believe that you should read it too.

Revenge Never Rests (Tallie Brown Suspense Book 2) by Laurie Lewis – Review by Shelly Kittell

Revenge Never RestsRevenge Never Rests by Laurie L.C. Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh man, book 2 of the Tallie Brown saga. Absolute heaven. It picks up where book 1 left off. I’m not going into it because it would be a spoiler. The story is well done. Our protagonists carry on and have to continue to work on their relationship as they work to solve the mystery of what happened to Tallie’s father. Who are the antagonists? Who did it? The characters are fantastic and developed so well. Again, you feel all the emotion as if you are in the story with them. The book feels like it may end there but I vote for the author to continue on with this and making it a series. I loved this and I would give the whole thing more than 5 stars if I were allowed to. Well done!!!! One of my absolute favorites of 2022.

Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls Book 1) by KG Fletcher – Review by Shelly Kittell

Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #1)Faultless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Absolute heaven! This new series is so beautiful. Teddy is jailed for something he didn’t do. He has lost so much in 5 years. He finds his way back home to the ones he loves, including Robyn. Life isn’t easy and there are some big struggles for them both. This book is incredible. This author is one of my favorites because of her writing style. You feel like you are in the story with the characters. It’s very comfortable and down-home writing style. The characters feel like they could be your neighbors. I’ve been in a few small-towns that remind me of the description she uses for this town. The plot line stays smoothly on track. You can’t help but dive in and not come up for air until the story is done. You invest yourself in it, immerse yourself in the hometown tale. I can’t wait for more Bennet tales. Feb. 2023 seems so far (but I know it’s not). I will count down the days. Again, a beautiful hometown love story that will have your cry sad and happy tears. You are gonna feel all the emotions.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a beautiful story. It is so well-written. The author gives definitions of words that young ones may not understand. She gives a lot of information in the book about dolphins, whales and sharks. She covers some of the environment of the area for the story. Her story is so inspirational. I just found myself tearing up as I read. Original and inspirational story that you must read. Highly recommend.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jake The Growling Dog Shares His Trail is another winner! This book does a fantastic job of explaining the fear of new and different things and it cn be scary. Worry can get away from us all. When Jake realizes what the new and different item is, his reaction shows how it is okay to react. Be honest. We are big fans of Jake the Growling Dog as he teaches wonderful values. As the parent of a child with autism, I love this book and will actually be getting a couple copies to share with my son’s therapists and doctor. Highly recommend.

Death of a Coupon Queen (Sophie Parker Mystery Series) by Jenna Harte – Review by Shelly Kittell

Death of a Coupon QueenDeath of a Coupon Queen by Jenna Harte
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cozy mysteries are often one of the favorite comfort genres. Small town feel, characters almost out of Mayberry, gossip, drama, murder and a dash of humor make this a great lighthearted read if you want to try to figure out who took out the Coupon Queen. Marla is found dead in her living room. Who did it? Sophie Parker finds her dead body and gets embroiled in the mystery. She puts romance, her jobs and other items at risk while she does this. Oh, she gets pulled into love triangles of two sisters and a garden that holds secrets. I just can’t say much about the book because you have to read it. It’s so funny and a great read. The characters are very memorable. Aunt Rose and Carl,, Vive and Tracy, Ellie. You have to visit this town. Highly recommend.
