Threads of Time (Toronto Time Agents Series) by C. N. Jackson – Review by Brandy Vaughn

Threads of TimeThreads of Time by Christy Nicholas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Threads of Time is the second book in the Toronto Time Agents series. This novel is suspenseful, mysterious, and has a lot historical components. The setting is descriptive and easy to imagine the places. It’s a great historical time traveling adventure! I appreciate the author including a pronunciation guide for the words that were not in English and a note that the novel is set in Toronto, Canada. Which helps the reader know that there are different spelling of some words.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Minotaur’s Lair is the final book in the Servant of the Gods trilogy. Although this is book three, it also reads well as a stand alone novel. There is a a unique mix of the ancient past with twenty-first century knowhow. The author does a wonderful job creating the historical world with layers of intrigue to keep the reader turning the page. Packed with action, mythology, danger, magic and mythical creatures to keep you guessing what will happen next!

Borrowed Time by Lane Cohen – Review by Brandy Vaughn

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story is a unique twist on the time travel plot. I like the mention of the original 1960’s version of the time machine. The historical references were enjoyable and kept the pages turning. The characters and the adventures they go on while trying to alter events important to them, drive the plot effortlessly forward. I wanted to know what happened next and couldn’t put the book down. With the way the story ended, there’s room for a sequel!

Love’s Refrain by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Ashley Johnson

Love's Refrain (The Stardust Duet, #1)Love’s Refrain by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Let me be the first to say, I’ve never read a book with time travel in it. I was drawn to the synopsis of this book though and I was mesmerized. The story line was breathtakingly beautiful. I would be so upset for missing out on this book. Kat and Phillip will pull you into their beautiful story and you won’t want to leave. I look forward to the next books!!

Emeline Chase is living in the late sixteen hundreds with her now husband, Wampanoag Indian, Samoset. But when she is inducted into an ancient coven her life takes a different turn—instead of saving the witches of Salem, she’s fighting against an ancient evil that is threatening both the past and the present. And one witch in particular is after Emeline, trying to destroy everything she has. When the timelines get mixed up and Samoset no longer remembers who she is, Emeline realizes how very dangerous this new witch is. And the worst of all, she resembles Emeline so closely that no one can tell the difference.
