Helpful Hudson by Dannielle Pickford – Review by Jennifer Crain

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have taught Kinder-2nd grade students, and know the importance of teaching emotional regulation and self care. This book is perfect, especially for the younger crowd. Kids could relate to Hudson and identify what he did and what his caring family did to make him feel better. It made me, as, an adult, feel better as well after a rough day of work!

The illustrations add to the story, and I appreciated the simple yet poignant message. Well written, not too wordy but gets the story across, and would highly recommend.
