The Cross of Ciaran (The Cross of Ciaran Book 1) by Andrea Matthews – Review by Jennifer Ramos

The Cross of Ciaran (The Cross of Ciaran #1)The Cross of Ciaran by Andrea Matthews
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is a mix of adventure, celtic and pagan traditions, and paranormal tidbits. Just from reading the introduction I knew I had to give this book a try. Caitlin, the archaeologist, reminds me a bit of the Indiana Jones adventures. She uncovers the body of a pagan priest, which surprisingly appears to be in mint condition where detailed tattoos are still visible. All of her findings have left her perplexed where she ends up traveling with the priest to NY to further investigate her findings. Unbeknownst to her, the body disappears and now as the Priest, Ciaran comes to realize he is not in the world he once knew. After his betrayal, he was buried alive and now comes to terms with this new, mysterious world and with the mysterious Caitlin. Such a great read and highly recommended for those who are into these types of books!
