Hidden Mischief (Shattered Embrace Series) by Alyndra Quinn – Review by Charlene Pryke

Hidden Mischief (Shattered Embrace #1)Hidden Mischief by Alyndra Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hidden Mischief by Alyndra Quinn is Book 1 in the Shattered Embrace series and the first (but not last) novel that Ihave read by this author.

Hidden Mischief is the story of Ashton and Zachary. Ashton is very successful in her working life but very shy in her private life with hidden submissive tendencies. Zachary owns Shattered Embrace which is a sex club,he interviews Ashton with the aim to train her and approve her club membership but is captivated by Ashton and claims her as “his exclusive submissive”. This book ends suddenly so I am looking forward to Book 2 to continue with their story…

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Shannon Fowler

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets #1)Whispered Surrender by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love reading Via Mari’s billionaire stories. First there was The Prestian Series, then The Torzial Affair and now The Billionaire Bodyguards! While I have not read The Prestian Series (yet), I loved the Torzial Affair. The three series mix a little with the characters. You don’t have to read one to understand the others, but it sure helps, and Mari’s writing style makes you WANT to read every word she writes!

Wayward is about Sasha and Jay. Sasha is a little lost and well “wayward”. But with the help of Jay, she is able to figure out her own worth and eventually understands that she is not all on her own.
I love the inter-connecting of the story lines and characters. Not only do you get to “meet” new ones, but you get to reconnect with old ones.

Undercover is just as good as Wayward. The action, the hotness, even the secrets being kept. It seemed that everyone was undercover for one reason or another! I kept trying to guess who the good guys were and who the bad guys were.
Matt is a bodyguard. He is also working undercover trying to uncover some mafia secrets and save innocent people. He is good at what he does. It doesn’t hurt that he is delicious to look at.

Marenah is the twin sister of Sasha from book one, Wayward. (You really don’t have to read book one to read Undercover, but it sure doesn’t hurt.) Marenah’s family has many ties to the mafia, which includes secrets of their own.  We know that her loyalty lies with her sister. We also know that Marenah is undercover, but who is she trying to help?! So many secrets!

Reading books by Mari makes good sense. These books are easy to read, adventurous, steamy and an easy way to escape reality.

Merry Christmas, Montana (The Millers of Marietta Book 3) by Elsa Winckler – Review by Kimberly Filer

Merry Christmas, Montana (The Millers of Marietta Book 3)Merry Christmas, Montana by Elsa Winckler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another story by Elsa Winckler that gives you all the feels. The Millers welcome you into their family from book one and you feel like you belong there. A heartwarming story of Riley a single mother with a young son. A professional photographer who puts her child first. The Millers are a family that have faced tragedy, moved to a new location to start over. And over the course of the books man have they started new lives. In the 3rd book you just can’t help but fall in love with Riley as you get to know her better. The best part of all these books is that the characters are in each other’s book, so you really get to know them. Can’t wait to see what comes next.

This Time Around Audiobook by Jane Suen – Review by Sunday Barnaby

This Time Around by Jane Suen
Narrated by Devon Grace and Troy Duran
Five Stars

This book is one of my favorite listens of the year. I have read and listened to many of this authors books. It is always a treat. This story is short enough to listen in one setting and it kept me entertained while I was flying home.
The narrators Devon Grace and Troy Duran are new to me. I look forward to more from them. They really brought the characters to life.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is another great book in this hockey series. I have not been a fan of Wyatt in the other playmaker series books, but the author did a great job changing my mind with this story line.
You get to see Wyatt grow and change throughout the book as a love story evolves with Serena. Great read, it doesnt disappoint!

Foxy Tails by Natalina Reis – Review by Amelia Stansell

Foxy TailsFoxy Tails by Natalina Reis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was great. A nine-tailed fox named Huli has lived through so much pain. He didn’t see himself as very important. Xiao is a healer and just had his world ripped out from him, when he comes home and finds his family murdered. He is always quiet unless he needs to be heard. He wants to revenge his family and doesn’t let anything or anyone get in his way of doing that, until he meets Huli. Once they finally tell each other how they feel, it is a great romance between the two.

The Husbands by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Brittany Porter

The HusbandsThe Husbands by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The best parts of this book are that it touches upon controversial romance, it has so much quality writing compressed into a quick read, and the lovable characters, for sure. This author really has a knack for keeping the reader flipping the pages eager for answers to all of their unanswered questions. It was difficult to decide who to side with throughout the story, but I’m content with the outcomes, without giving too much away. Great read!

Key to His Heart by Kristina Beck – Review by Christina Gran

Key To His HeartKey To His Heart by Kristina Beck

Phenomenal love story—the love everyone wishes that they had! I loved this book so much! Leaves the reader feeling all the feels & believing that soulmates really do exist! First book I’ve read from Kristina Beck, but absolutely won’t be my last. I can’t wait to find another one of her gems to dive into.
Divorced & pregnant, Katrina Klenkos moves to a quaint, small town in PA….hopeful to regroup & raise her baby, far away from her previous life. Kat feels that she has FINALLY found “home”, and is determined to give her precious baby a life very different than she had.
TJ, a former NFL star, returns to Golden Crest after hanging up his football cleats! TJ is enjoying retirement teaching & coaching at the high school he attended, however something is missing from his life. When TJ & Kat’s paths cross, there is an immediate attraction, and a feeling of knowing they can’t explain. While the fire continues to simmer among these two characters, there are some twists & turns that occur which could prevent them both with having the “happily ever after” they both so desperately desire.

I enjoyed the spin on the Queen of Hearts. I like her fierceness and cleverness. It was enjoyable to watch the different events unfold for the prey she chose. I am hesitant to give more detail because I do not want to spoil the delectable ways of the queen. I hope to read another by this author.

Heart Broken (Satan’s Devils MC #5) Audio Book by Manda Mellett – Review by Ashley Hasting

This series gives me such an emotional roller coaster ride, and I love them for it! Heart has finally woken from his coma, but with Crystal gone, he has become heartbroken. This resulted in him doing bad decisions and being given a 6 month suspension from Satan Devils to give him one last chance. He was going to give up and not take that chance, till he heard the words from Mark, and the rest you need to listen to! Lots of past history, drama, and karma, but so good to listen to!

This fast paced steamy romance really knocked it out of the park. The cover really captured my eye with the colors, and the synopsis sealed the deal. This is one of those novels that you pick up and you simply can’t put it down until you have devoured the whole book. The word building, the original plot, the travel, and the tremendous characters really pulled the story together and I just simply couldn’t put it down. So make sure you pick up this great romance today.

Dare I say I enjoyed this book even more than the first? This is such a great series, and I can’t get enough of it. The characters, like Bullet, have such well-written personalities. It’s like you know them personally and feel for them through their rollercoaster of a ride. This is a quick read that sucks you in from the first page, which is just this author’s amazing writing style. This book is full of action, trauma, healing, passion, and is a perfect second installment to the Grimm Wolves MC series. I couldn’t be happier!

Not quite what I was expecting, but a good book nonetheless. The book was slow to draw me in, but I was still able to finish it in one day and enjoyed the writers style of writing. I definitely plan to read the other books of the series soon.

The characters of Desmond and Emily are both relatable, making it feel like you understand what they are going through as the book switches back and forth from their perspectives. The chemistry between them is apparent from the first time they meet in the hallway of the hospital they work at together, and by the end of the story you are rooting for them to have a happy ending.

If you love a good mystery that keeps you turning the page, this one is it. A romance that bloomed out of an investigation and murder case kept it interesting. I loved the complexity of Lexi. Just when you think you have her pinned down personality-wise, she surprises you with something she says or does. Xavier Knight has been sent to investigate Lexi, and he isn’t ready for the situation. The author did a great job with building the relationship which comes across as very realistic. Just wow!

No Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio – Review by Tina Vega

No Strings AttachedNo Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

First, I just want to say this is one of the most entertaining opening scenes I’ve ever read. I could literally see this scene played out in my head. I like the interaction between Kayla and Tanner. I found myself laughing out loud at their dialogue. Refreshingly real. When the ex (her baby’s daddy) enters the picture, I think every mom can sympathize with her here. Being torn between the fact that they have a kid together vs his reoccurring pattern. Even when logically clear, it gets emotionally blurry. A wonderful story single moms need to read who feel like they don’t have time to date. This was my first book from this author and so glad for this introduction to her writing style! Will be watching for more books from her!

Drew (Perfectly Independent, #1)Drew by Amanda Shelley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Drew: Book One of the Perfectly Independent Series by Amanda Shelley is a fun, entertaining, and easy college romance read. Not only does Ms. Shelley give us great characters, and a wonderful plot she also gives a real feel for how hard life is with all of the pressures of college. I’m personally a romance novel lover and Ms. Shelley just made it so easy to fall in love with this charming and wonderful piece of work. Her main characters on paper seem to be complete and polar opposites, but doesn’t chemistry teach us that opposites attract? So even though these two are completely different will they attract to one another? You’ll have to read Drew: Book One of the Perfectly Independent Series by Amanda Shelley for yourself to find out.

I have found yet another great summer beach read in Dating the Intern by Natalina Reis! Not the common romance novel I normally read, but definitely enjoyed the coworkers to lovers storyline. Natalina has written two very relatable characters in Ivory Towers and Li Qiang. This age-gap comedy will have you rooting from the very beginning for the two of them to find happiness with each other. You’ll just have to read to find out if they do! I’m very excited to read other works by this author.

The way this author writes is just mesmerising. Again, I can’t see how she could possibly top this book and I cannot wait for her to show me!

Being Lost (Satan's Devils MC San Diego #1)Being Lost by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read a few of Manda Mellett’s series but I have to say that the San Diego chapters are some of the best by far. Being Lost was such a good start, I couldn’t put it down. It was such any easy read for me kind of like pulling out my favorite jean jacket in the fall, or watching a rain storm in the fall, it was calming and relaxing with just the right amount of edge. As usual Ms. Mellett’s characters are wonderful, her scenery descriptive, and her story line intriguing. So if your looking for a great series to read I highly recommend Ms. Mellett’s San Diego chapters.
