A Match Made in Montana (The Millers of Marietta, #2)A Match Made in Montana by Elsa Winckler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an amazing book! This was such a great world to get lost in for a while. I instantly fell in love with Annie. She reminded me so much of myself it was almost scary. And then you add in the handsome and very Irish Craig and I was SWOONING. The way he is around Annie is absolutely precious and made me giggle like a little girl. They had some MAJOR chemistry, and I was ALL ABOUT IT. This book DID NOT disappoint. I highly recommend it.

I thought this was a beautiful story. I enjoyed the characters (Craig was annoying at times). The bed and breakfast as well as the setting was described beautifully. Annie was a strong character and while I didn’t necessarily connect with her, she was relatable. I would read more from this author.

Ways to Improve Bailey by Cori Cooper – Review by Jennifer Crain

Ways to Improve BaileyWays to Improve Bailey by Cori Cooper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loved having the list of things her brother has to “improve” Bailey, but didn’t like how they didn’t go in numerical order (just my opinion, felt it was weird). Loved how Bailey is blind to true love and then finds it. Enjoyed the team work aspects of saving Froyo.

Felt parts of the book were stagnant, but overall, i would definitely recommend it and/or read more books by Cori Cooper- felt like Shopaholic or similar (I am not a heavy romance reader) and I appreciated the banter between Bailey and the rest of the characters.

Reaper (War Brothers MC Book 1) by Bianca Lee Ward – Review by Tori Werkheiser

Reaper (War Brothers MC, #1)Reaper by Bianca Lee Ward
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I was so excited to read about the Alpha men in a MC protecting a woman who needs it. This had so much potential but fell flat for me. It all felt rushed and the romance made no sense and lacked chemistry. I cant tell you one reason why these two fell for each other than lust. He sees her once and its love at first sight (which i didnt buy) and then she takes a while to come around and open up but i just did not get their relationship. He does the same things her ex did but under the name of protecting her. I will say he clearly had better intentions than her ex but i was longing for the romance between them and i got nothing. I enjoyed the side characters although it did feel like this should not have been the first book in the series. There were a lot of people, relationships and dynamics referenced as if we should know what the story was and I just felt a little lost. I would have liked more back story on the couple who get married in the beginning of the book who is the sister of the main character and close friend and MC member of the male main character. I also did not feel the sisterly love between the two sisters it felt awkward and like they hadnt really had a relationship until now which left me confused. I did enjoy the climax and drama at the end but that still did not give this story what i needed to fully enjoy it. Hoping the rest of the books are longer and with more details of the important things.

Underboss’s Retaliation (Sicilian Gods Book 2) by Via Mari – Review by Maisie Dickinson

Underboss's Retaliation (Sicilian Gods Book 2)Underboss’s Retaliation by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Underboss’s Retaliation Arc is the second in Via Mari’s Sicilian Gods series. It follows straight on from Boss’s Vendetta, this time revolving around cousin Dominic – who would ‘do it all again, risk everything for the woman I barely know but whose heart and mind beats in time to my own’ – and the badass mafia princess from the rival crime family, Emelia. There is even a link to Mari’s Cruel Deception series, of which I have read Degrees of Innocence. I’ve read three of her books this year and I am becoming a huge fan. The romance, the passion, the danger, it all keeps you hooked. Every time I pick up one of her books, I cannot put it back down, and Underboss’s Retaliation Arc has proven this again. I can’t wait to read the next in the series.

The Rom Com Movie Club (The Rom Com Movie Club Book 1) by Bernadette Marie

The Rom Com Movie Club is the first book in The Rom Com Movie Club Series and is a wonderfully written Contemporary Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. I loved absolutely everything about this book from the amazing characters that are relatable, fully developed and real to the storyline that flowed so well that you feel like you are right there with them. I found myself chuckling to being a bit sad as this story has it all from drama, humor and lots of bantering. This is Lisa and Ryan’s story, she’s used to being tossed around has growing up in foster care she didn’t have the best idea of what happily ever after really is. Then there’s Ryan and he’s moved home and staying with his parents until something comes along Lisa and three of her friends get together once a month for Rom com movie club where they each get facial and watch a rom com amongst other things. These two definitely have the chemistry and attraction but can they have a happily ever after ? I highly recommend reading this book and I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

The Perfect Mrs. ClausThe Perfect Mrs. Claus by Barbara Matteson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book gave me so much joy. I fell in love with Savannah immediately. She just had this personality and essence about her that pulled me in. Which was the point. Savannah is extremely selfless and has an enormous heart. She really made the perfect Mrs. Claus. I loved that she was the center and not Santa. Like they say behind ever man there’s a great woman. We don’t give Mrs. Claus her props enough. Matthew is a sweetheart as well. He’s shy but caring. Awkward but kind. They make quite the pair. Nothing says the holidays like love! Please read this book it has a the feels!

The Aloha Series Box Set (Books 1 – 3) by Jill Brashear – Review by Kimberly Wilkinson

Aloha Series Box Set Books 1-3Aloha Series Box Set Books 1-3 by Jill Brashear
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Easy reads

The Aloha Series Box Set has three wonderful stories. Each set in the beautiful tropical islands of Hawaii in the 1960’s. Jills’s vivid writing makes you actually feel like youbare there. They are fun anf quick easy reads. Learning about how the Hawaiians live and their cultures was amazing to learn.

Try Easy is the first book in this box set and is Keoni and Lou’s story. Keoni has an easy life and everything going for him. He is a pro at surfing and it’s his life. He can sing and play guitar and also sexy. Lou is a Photographer and gets a trip of a lifetime to Hawaii. It’s here that she meets the charming and charismatic Keoni. But what does she still have her boyfriend back home, what about him? This book has very likeable characters but what really happens with the couples?

Try Me is the second book and is Pearl & Declan’s story. Pearl wants to be just like her mother. Declan and Pearl have this chemistry about them, they don’t know it but everyone around them sure do. Declan is a surfing pro and finding it hard to return to the place he lost his best friend. They pretend to be in a relationship. This story is full of emotions where there is guilt and heartbreak, loss and grief and lots of chemistry. This book makes you want to try for what you want and what you believe in.

Try Right is the third book and is Claudia & Henry’s story. Claudia was once the most sought-after actress who is now only a bit part actress and looking for the one that got away. Is trying to recapture something really what anyone really needs? Henry is a stuntman who was captured by the beauty to turn up for filming and for better or worse he decides to help her. What starts as friendship has the potential for so much more. With some angst, a little drama, and lots of chemistry, this tale will delight the reader.
These books have a lot of chemistry and romance and a lot of drama. But a good read.

Ashali and the Blue Horseman by Jordan Elizabeth – Review by Mary Espinoza

Ashali and the Blue Horseman is a modern day superhero adventure story by Jordan Elizabeth. I was interested soon as I saw the picture on the title. This was a fun filled, action story with just the right amount of tension, intrigue, mystery, and romance to keep things fascinating. Ashali’s life is about to take an unexpected, twisted and action-packed turn. With a gang of assassins, a vigilante, secret identities, and much more- get set for a ride on the fun side. I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes a movie at some point on time! It was a great read!

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, book 2) by Amy McKinley – Review by Ana Evelyn

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, #2)Blood Oath by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

From the very first few pages this book had me in my feels! However I did read these books out of order so I kind of spoiled it for myself. However Amy has a way of sucking you into these stories that I completely reacted like it was new information. Or it felt like I was learning about things and characters for the first time all over again. I did LOVE this couples love story the most so far. They had a tough times & a tough fight! In newer books you get snippets of their relationship but nothing compared to this. Sofia is feisty , spunky, and stands up for herself. Even if she’s small I think she could make any of these grown mafia men cryyy! Safe to say she’s a fan favorite!! Overall story was action packed, lots of drama, some anxietyy for me lol, lots of cute sweet moments, and lots of passionate moments! 10000 stars on this one!!

I freaking love this series. This author writes amazingly descriptive characters and this book is no exception. This book can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend you read the series in order to get the full dynamic of this series. It is well worth you time and money because it is an awesome series. As in the first two books, this book is full of all the feels. I was crying, laughing and wholeheartedly touched by this story. Jared is a rock god and Madison is caring for Jared’s father. It makes for some sizzling hot scenes, but also delves into deep issues of elder care. This book is in my top five reads of the year. I can’t wait to see what this author will bring us next.

Though she has been hurt on more than one occasion, Charlie is so strong. Life brings them back together. Both trying to put the past behind them to just be friends for her brother’s sake. I adored this story and their love. Sometimes family genes bring good and bad. They find out though that never defines them!

This is the first book I have read by this author, but definitely won’t be the last. This is a story of Marlowe, a romance writer, and Heath, a book cover model. This book dealt with some heavy issues including anxiety. This book had my emotions rolling from beginning to end. I have to say it it made me laugh out loud but also had me reaching for tissues. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series.

8 Second Ride by Shannon Nemechek – Review by Stephanie Chapman

8 Second Ride8 Second Ride by Shannon Nemechek
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

If you are looking for a quick read with great character development, Shannon Nemechek’s 8 Second Ride is for you. The story opens with Tuck McGraw in a panic. He is running behind for work at the Four Leaf Ranch, and dreaded the possibility of being the errand boy for Jessie Flanagan. Jessie was the snobby daughter that felt the need to flaunt her body and money to impress others. When Tuck arrives, he discovers that he made the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. Liam decided to give a party that evening in Tuck’s honor.
Just as Tuck is feeling at the top of the world, along comes Jessie, and he has been assigned the task of taking her shopping in town. On the way to town, Tuck begins to give her a reality check of how he thought she was ugly inside. Unfortunately, on the ride back, Tuck receives a call from the PBR. His trip was completely paid for, but Jessie interrupts the call and adds herself and her best friend to the list. How will Tuck handle the sudden intrusion of Jessie with his future in the rodeo circuit? Why does she want to go?

The character development of this book is a favorite feature of mine. The back story and motivation for Tuck flow well with his actions throughout the story. I was surprised at the abrupt ending as it left me wanting to read more. This is a book for mature adults; the profanity and sexual innuendos are not appropriate for young adults. This is a book that made me feel like everyone should follow their dreams no matter how difficult they may be to achieve.

How I loved this story. I love fairy tales anyway and Price of a Rose: a Beauty and Beast tale (Historical Fantasy Fairytale Retellings Book 2) by Byrd Nash is a wonderful retelling. That might stop some folks but all the stories we tell are just a retelling of a basic theme. All of them. This one is masterfully done. I love how the magic doesn’t override the humanity, that the story is not just about magic. It’s a perfect mix. I do love a good clean love story and this one certainly satisfied that appetite.

5 out of 5 stars

There are few things I enjoy more than getting cozy on my couch in front of the Christmas tree with a good book. Make that a book filled with the magic and love of the holiday season and I could stay there all night. Dreaming of Christmas is the perfect collection of sweet, heartwarming stories that will fill you with holiday cheer. My favorite thing about this collection is that while each story has their similarities and ties, they are each unique and enjoyable in their own right as well. I most enjoyed the Christmas Kiss stories. I am a total sucker for the fake relationship plot so Christmas Kiss: But only for the Holidays was definitely a favorite of mine. Christmas Kiss: New Year’s Wish was another absolute favorite as it was another theme that I can not get enough of.
I will say, the characters in all five stories were relatable and likeable, you wanted each to have absolute happiness. Joanne Dannon really put together a great holiday collection I would recommend to anyone that wanted to get into the spirit of Christmas, faith and happiness.
