Kiss a Thief by Marina Hanna – Review by Shea Gilkerson 7/28/22

KISS A THIEFKISS A THIEF by Marina Hanna
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book jumps right in to the steamy aspects and carries you along through the romance and instant attraction between Mia, a museum curator, and Dylan Knight, mega-mogul.

They meet at the gallery Mia works for, and while she is intensely attracted to Dylan, she has no clue who he is. They share some suggestive looks and discussion, only for Dylan to leave abruptly. She is disappointed, but has some new material for her “alone time” – as does Dylan. Things heat up quickly and move fast.

When Dylan has an extremely rare and expensive piece stolen, the detective immediately points to Mia and the distrust, fear, and angst come into play. Will Dylan and Mia get to the bottom of who stole the art piece? Will they be able to trust one another again? Will their chemistry and feelings for one another carry them through?? Steamy summer read, lots of drama and passion and emotion.

The Cool Thing: A Dark Comedy. Or Not. by Robert Rife – Review by Shea Gilkerson 7/28/22

This book was unlike anything I’ve read before. There were many entertaining aspects and laughs throughout. There are not a lot of redeeming qualities to the characters in this book and it reads as detached from the story and more about just following the authors train of thought. That being said, I had fun reading this book and it kept me interested in reading through to the end.
