Love and Fate is the second book in the Braebeach Rockstar Romance series by Loriana Cappello. This is a angsty, slow-burn, second chance, rockstar romance with single parent’s element, challenges, family, friendship, chemistry, drama, tragedy, heartache, emotion, and more. Angie and Tommy have a complicated past, their teen/first love burned bright, but life tore them apart. Both move on with their – then tragedy strikes, and heartache leaves its mark. What does the future have in store for these two- will their past feelings bubble to the surface once more? Can they open themselves up to the possibility of love, risking their hearts for their second chance at love? Will the challenges they now face be too difficult to navigate? As I have noted before, Ms. Cappello has an easy and inviting writing style that made this an engaging read. Happy Reading…

I absolutely loved reading about Calla’s and Ash’s story. I read a Love and Fate first, and then came back to read Strings Attached. I loved reading the backstory of the sweet couple that you see periodically in that second book. Timing is not Ash’s and Calla’s thing. Every time they meet back up something is in the way. But they still work through them. I love how the connection between the two never fades but keeps getting stronger with each meet. But alas, pressures start to come in at all sides and they can only promise “right now” instead of “forever”. This was a mostly easygoing story and had great word and story building!
Man. this book was hard to read because of the constant rollercoaster. Just when you think it doesn’t get worse Loriana says hold my drink and takes you out at the knees. I had to keep a box of tissues because my heart hurt for Angie while she tried to process Sam’s death. I absolutely wanted the knock the crap out of Chelsea. She is the most vile character in this book. I feared for Ozzie’s safety multiple times. Angie’s son was pretty adorable. Watching these four try and navigate being a family together. I just wanted to take Tommy and just hug him and hide him from the writer because he goes through so much. I loved this story so much and it had just enough of reality mixed in with fiction that it was still relatable.

This book kept me so emotionally involved all the way through . I was immediately intrigued & never let go . Beautiful portrayal of grief & continuing on . Highlighted both the happiness of real love & the complications of toxic relationships . This will have you hoping for love in a way that will tug your heart .

The perfect mix of spice, romance, and drama. The character development and pace of the story was perfect and kept my attention from the first paragraph.
The story takes place in Braebeach and follows Ash Chambers (up and coming rockstar) and Calla Bryson (university student) as they rekindle a past friendship leading to a summer romance. They quickly realize what they wanted to be just a fun summer fling was becoming way more than either of them intended. Calla and Ash both had a crush on each other during secondary school, however due to a mutual friend they never acted on it. They now have a chance to see where their relationship could go. Calla’s life starts to change as she discovers she has a brother, and the band Ash is apart of is about to take off. Will they be able to manage their relationship with the distance, outside forces plotting against them, and will Calla be able to handle all the newfound attention Ash will be receiving due to the bands fame?
Be on the look out for more from Lorianna as the Braebeach Romance Series will continue to follow the lives of the other 3 band members!

This is the second book in the Braebeach Rockstar Romance series, which follows each band member and their current lives. Love and Fate has the perfect combination of drama, anger, grief (if death triggers you be aware this story does touch on a wife and her journey after), forgiveness, romance, and a few spicier scenes! Love and Fate follows the lives of Angie and Tommy while also giving us time to catch up on Ash and Calla’s life as well. Tommy and Angie shared a summer romance which ended in a not-so-great way ultimately leading Angie to the love of her life, Scott (Calla’s Brother). Angie, Ash, and Calla were faced with a huge tragedy which pulled Tommy away from his current girlfriend Chelsea so he could be there to help his chosen family through their hard time. Tommy’s feeling for Angie start to resurface leading him to ending his current relationship, shortly after this Tommy winds up trapped in a toxic marriage to Chelsea; after finding out she is carrying his child. This very toxic marriage eventually ends due to Chelsea not being faithful, leaving Tommy to parent Ozzie on his own. He moved back home to Braebeach where his friends (Ash, Calla, Angie, and the other band members currently live). Tommy never really lost feelings for Angie, however due to circumstances the timing has never been right. Will Tommy’s divorce and decision to move be the start of something more for Angie and him or will their timing never be right? Crying, laughing, irritation, anger, and happiness; If you want to feel every emotion possible within a short time this is the book for you!

The first quarter of this book is devastating. However it truly does capture several different ways people handle grief. It has captured raw and real realities for some and pulled out some horrifyingly traumatic truths. Throughout the book Tommy’s strength, resilience and love for the people he cares most about shines bright. Getting over the death of Angie’s husband, Scott, destroyed her and despite how much he loved her Tommy put it aside to make sure the surviving wife of one of his closest friends was okay in the best way he knew how. He offered space when it was needed and always made sure she knew he was there. Dealing with Chelsea was a whole different can of worms. Marrying her when he felt like it was the right choice and giving her chance after chance to do what was right despite all she had done to destroy her relationships was admirable. It speaks to his character growth. Calla, Scott’s sister and Angie’s best friend, was the rock every person needs. Despite mourning the death of her brother she was there for Angie from the beginning. She always had the best interest at heart for her best friend and it truly marked what a best friend is. Angie faced what was thrown at her with grace. Sure she had her moments but I can’t imagine going through all that she had and be the best version of myself at all times. She went at her pace to process everything that had been thrown at her and made sure her obligations were tended too. She showed so much tact and strength in the face of a gut-wrenchingly heartbreaking situation. While Tommy and Angie were slow to come together their stories were unique and it was very worth it. This book is captivating and emotional.

This is a second chance at love full of tears and laughter. Tommy Graham was about to hit it big with his band Koolum Law. With Tommy about to hit it big he feels the right choice is to break it off with his girlfriend Angie Knox. Years pass before the two run into each other again at the wedding of Angie’s best friend Calle. Tragedy strikes right after the wedding and Angie’s husband is killed. Tommy is there for Angie over the next few weeks and he starts to catch feelings for Angie again even though he has a girlfriend. Tommy ends up being trapped in a marriage with Chelsea. Their marriage is far from a fairytale. Tommy finally has had enough with his cheating wife and he files for divorce and takes his son Ozzie back to Tommy’s hometown of Braebeach. Could this be Tommy’s chance to fall in love with Angie again? Did he truly ever stop loving her? This book was AMAZING! I cried, I laughed, and most importantly the author had me feeling like I was a character right in the middle of the story!!

Tommy and Angie went their separate ways right as Tommy’s band, Koolum Law, is taking off. Fast forward and one is married (on the verge of divorce) with a young son and one is widowed taking care of her own child. The two reconnect and build a friendship where they can lean on each other for emotional support. Underneath it all, they are being reminded of why they loved each other all those years ago. However, dealing with a crazy ex, people out to make a quick buck, and a past filled with many emotions creates quite the hurdles to overcome.
I felt for these characters. Angie has been through so much and has grown and persevered while trying to heal. Tommy’s dealing with his own troubles…bot in his marriage and with his band. These two rebuild a friendship that is stronger than anything they had in the past. I found myself immersed in their story and couldn’t put it down. They are dealing with adult problems that make you feel like they could be someone you know. Can’t wait to see what this series has in store next.

“Loved and Lost” is the second book in the Braebeach Rockstar romance series by Loriana. It can be read as a standalone even though it is part of this series. It tells the story of young love and heartbreak, and the challenges the characters face. The characters experience real insecurities in this tale of second chances in love. Tommy once loved her but left her when he was on his way to fame with the rock band Koolum Law and the promise of women. He’s had his share of women and problems. Now that he’s back in town, she’s just what he needs. This time, he’s determined not to let her slip away. This man made me want to strangle him in the beginning I was not a fan, but he does have some redeemable qualities in the end. Angie once loved him, and now that he’s back, can she resist him for a second time, or will she find the love she once craved? Will her past remain in the past, or will it come back to disrupt her happiness? I just wanted to hug this woman who has been through so much. But she is strong and doesn’t let anything keep her down for long.

This wonderful book is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, love, joy, anger and sadness just to name a few, that had me hooked right from the start. Tommy and Angie held me captive and wanting happiness for them both. I just couldn’t read it fast enough, I had to know what was going to happen. This is the first book I have read by this very talented author and it definitely won’t be the last. As this is book 2 in the series I will now be returning to book one to catch up.

This is the second book in the Breabeach series and the members of Koolum Law are a little bit older now and famous. This is Tommy’s and Angie’s story and they have been thru a lot. I really enjoyed their story and the continuation of Ash’s and Calla’s story. You really root for these characters and fell for them because of all of the things life has thrown at them and want to see them succeed in their relationship. I can’t wait to see who’s story is next!

Love and Fate has its fair share of tragedy, anger, happiness, and love. The author offers up a story that has you rooting for the 2 main characters for different reasons. A book you don’t want to put down. As an introduction to this author it’s the perfect book to have you craving more. Happily married, unfortunately doesn’t last long. A loveless marriage, unfortunately that lasts longer than it should. Those are the beginning fates of the 2 main characters. She was the one who got away. Tommy never let Angie go, but he has to be a man and understand she’s happily married now. It’s his own fault but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t twist something inside of him. Upon learning she’s with child is his wake up call. He’s been coasting through life, but that’s not what he really wants. He wants what she has, love and family. But when tragedy strikes he steps up for her. Angie lost her husband. Not that she’s willing to accept that he’s gone. She’s pregnant and alone, even though she’s surrounded by people. Of all people Tommy ends up being the friend she needs. The sound board for her emotions. Not only allowing her to truly forgive him for hurting her, but their friendship to grow into something neither of them ever expected. Now that he’s going through a separation/divorce she feels it’s her turn to return the favor and be there for him. What neither of these 2 truly realize is that they still have feelings for each other. And now that truly know one another those feelings run deeper than expected. Unfortunately neither one of them understands it. Will this be their time? Will Angie and Tommy finally have their happily ever after? So many questions and so many answers. This book time jumps, which at times I don’t care for. In this case it works. Well written with and excellent display of growth for both main characters it makes for a great read!

Calla and Ash are getting married. Tommy catches sight of Angie, the woman who got away. She is married to Scott and Tommy has a clingy girlfriend. Chelsea hints at marriage all the time, but Tommy doesn’t think marriage will ever happen for him. While waiting for their plane to Los Angeles, Bernie calls Tommy saying that Ash has been in an accident.
Once in the family room, Max and Tommy learn that Ash’s injuries weren’t life threatening. However, Scott had died in the accident. Both men were jogging when a car veered off and crashed. Scott and the driver didn’t survive. Angie, who is pregnant with Scott’s baby, is devastated. Tommy returns to New York to break up with Chelsea, only to learn she is pregnant. A whirlwind marriage in Vegas has Tommy married to a nightmare.
6 years pass and Chelsea leaves Tommy and their son Ozzie. Thankfully, Tommy has a spectacular nanny. However, Koolum Law suffers another setback when Brett quits the band. The remaining members go to Braebeach to stay at Calla and Ash’s beach house. Connie and Josh accompany the group. Tommy feels angry that Chelsea has made no attempt to even call Ozzie. Connie tells him that Ozzie won’t take his mother’s absence as much as Tommy would think. However, Chelsea arrives at Calla’s house to attempt to take Ozzie with her. Angie arrives to pick up Josh and Chelsea automatically starts accusing them of having an affair.
Tommy meets with an attorney to set up the court proceedings for his divorce. WHen he sees Fraser at a table with another woman, he automatically thinks Fraser was cheating on Angie. Despite not harming Fraser, the man takes advantage of the situation to make a fast buck. Chelsea takes the story and tells reporters that Angie was a homewrecker and she was why the marriage failed.
Drama enters this book from all directions. Family drama involving Tommy and his wife causes tension to rise. I feared for Ozzie’s safety when she showed up out of the blue. Angie’s grief over Scott seems to keep her on an emotional rollercoaster. Tommy’s patience is unending when it comes to Angie’s pain. After Chelsea, I doubt anything could phase him. I wonder if Brett will ever reconnect with the band, even just on a friendship level. The stress levels of the characters are understandable and their resiliency is captivating. Plenty of romance shines throughout this intense novel. The hate I have for mainstream media is reinforced with the situation that Tommy and Angie have to face. I recommend Love and Fate for readers who enjoy romance novels with realistic problems involving relatable characters. This beautifully crafted novel easily earns a five star rating for me.

This was a great 5 star read. This is Angie and Tommy’s story and I really enjoyed it. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. These two have a past and when they reconnect years later they are in a different place. Can they finally make a relationship work and get a HEA? Overall I really enjoyed the characters. My emotions were all over the place. I had a love hate relationship with Tommy but by the end he had my heart again. I will warn that there are some scenes that might be a trigger for some. If you are looking for a read that has great characters and storyline this is the one for you. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started today.

Ash remembers Calla from secondary school. He claims she stole his heart instantly. It had been 5 years since he had seen her. Calla cries, holding her head, crying out in pain. She recognizes Ash. An older woman claims Calla walked into the lamppost. Ash offers her a ride to the hospital. The woman agrees to wait with Calla’s stuff while Ash carries her to the car. Ash recalls the past and Calla mentions Scott Knox. Scott was Ash’s best friend from school but a bully to Calla. He blows off a meeting with Dani. He didn’t go home until lunchtime the next day.
He shared a house with Tommy. Entering the house, he noticed that his house was clean, laundry washed, dishes done, and his room was neat. His mother enters the room with a clean load of laundry. A knock at the door reveals Dani Hill. She worked at Election records and offered a contract to Ash’s band. His mother walks in as Dani has made herself comfortable and is trying to push Ash to make a decision on the contract. Ash’s mother knocks Dani down a notch and makes her leave.
Calla didn’t get along with her mother and her father was absent. However, her grandparents had given her a happy childhood. Her mother had always blamed her for the multiple men who left her. Calla had found her safe space at school. Now she works at Rosie’s Café and her mother has moved to be with her latest man. Calla enjoys her time at Braebeach living in her grandparent’s second home.
Ash notices Calla is with a friend, setting up a lounge on the beach. Calla wonders if she could handle a summer fling. Ash tells her about his band and asks Calla on a date. He offers Angie and Calla backstage passes to his band’s performance at the Dunbar Hotel.
After performing, Ash and Tommy take the girls to join them for dinner. Famous music icon, Bernie Hill, and his daughter, Dani, are present. Bernie asked Calla what she looked for in music and she was honest. Dani seemed not to like Calla when her father preferred to listen to Calla instead of her. Bernie said Calla could have a job in the music business industry. Calla and Ash both fall for each other but their thoughts about their relationship are not in sync.
The unpredictable twists in this book built tension from the first page. The vivid depiction of their emotions was captivating. It was easy to understand how their childhood lives dictated how they handled their relationships with people. Calla’s mother’s instability prevents her from forming attachments to anyone and her independent nature is a gift and a curse. A theme of forgiveness and trust intertwines with the drama that fills this book. I recommend this dramatic romance novel to fans who like seeing the inner turmoil of each person’s thoughts.
This book is the first one that I’ve ever read that made me cry. Loved the whole story and the characters! Such an emotional and beautiful story and it’s now one of the top favorites of books I’ve ever read! Definitely going to check out more from this author. The story is about a rockstar & his bandmates & friends & family, some twists and turns throughout that you don’t see coming, and fate bringing people to where they were meant to be all along. Beautifully written and I enjoyed reading this! An emotional, inspiring, interesting read for me! 5/5 stars for me!

Where do I even start with reviewing this book? A little bit of good girl, a little bit of rock and roll and a whole lot of twists! The main characters, Tommy and Angie are so likeable. I wasn’t sure there at the beginning how this story was going to turn out but I was pleasantly surprised. A tale of heartbreak, a slow burn, friends to lovers romance. I could not put this book down and read it in record time (for me!). If Rock and roll romance is your jam give this book a read!

Tommy Graham took that too literally when he dumped Angie right before he hit the big time.
When he returns to Braebeach, it isn’t in the glow of his success with his band, Koolum Law, but as a single dad on the verge of a bitter divorce. Amid the chaos, there’s only one woman he can turn to. After re-connecting with Angie, their friendship has developed into so much more than he thought possible.
Angie hasn’t been so lucky in life. Driven by providing a future for her young son, she fights to keep her business afloat. When Tommy steps in and becomes more than a shoulder to cry on, she finds herself falling for him all over again while trying to deal with a past that still haunts her.

Strings Attached A Braebeach Rockstar Romance – by Loriana Cappello – 5 Stars
Ash Chambers – Rock Star dreams spots his secondary school crush during the summer leave from university. Calla Bryson – Literally runs into a pole when she spots her crush on her first day back home.
Home for the summer these two run into each other. Both have had feelings for each other since school and neither knew about it. Catching up with each other and rekindling their friendship has both wanting more from each other. With Ash soon to be signing a record contract and Calla finishing her last year in Uni to get her business degree, can they both handle just a short summer fling? Are their feelings for each other strong enough to go past a summer fling? Can they handle a long distance relationship with the fame of being a rockstar, temptations, trust and unexpected turns? Will they be able to fight for their love?
This is the first book I have read by Loriana Cappello and I have to say I loved this second chance romance. It had the right amount of steaminess to it as well as drama. I was rooting for Ash and Cal and that love conquers. The story is well written with all the aspects that I would imagine in real life. I could not put it down. I am invested in the secondary characters as well; rooting for the best friends to find their happiness! I will say I was not expecting to see Scott’s past. To also see the heart break song was a very pleasant surprise, if only pages could give me the melody as well I would have it in my constant playlist. I can not wait to see more from Loriana! 5 stars all the way!
