I really like how the author is able to keep the flow of the series. The authors writing again in the story was just excellent and capativing. The reader is hooked from the very first page until the last.

Urban Justice (A Chicago Vigilantes Novel #2) by India Kells was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning.

We start with Luke and a buddy exploring the tunnels under Chicago, after sending his friend back Luke ends up coming up on a dangerous scene that brings him face to face with the vigilante.

The vigilante is working to get a dangerous drug off the streets. Sloane ends up approaching Luke to see if he wants to help. As he is working with Sloane they discover a connection between them. With everyone working towards the same thing, will they be able to keep everyone safe and get the drugs off the streets?

Overall this was a great thrilling read. All of the characters added a great element to the story. I really think these two were perfect for each other, they seemed to have several similarities in their life. If you are looking for a great edge of your seat read, 1-click and get started today.

I was so excited to get my hands on this book because of how much I liked the first one in this series. This author never disappoints. Sloan is a very strong, intelligent woman with a past that she struggles with. Luke, is a professor who has been asked to help the vigilante and his team. Sloan and Luke have off the charts chemistry and I enjoyed their characters. This story is full of action, suspense, romance, and wonderful characters. I couldn’t put this book down once I started reading because I needed to know what happened. This is a must read and I cannot wait to read the next one. I highly recommend this book.

Urban Justice (A Chicago Vigilantes Novel Book 2) by India Kells. This is the 2nd great installment in the Chicago Vigilantes series. It could be read as a standalone but you would miss a lot of back story. Its the story of Vigilante Sloane Friday who used to be a cop now dishes out her own type of law. She is fighting the never ending drug Phantom who has left a trail of death and destruction in its wake. Luke Radcliffe a former Marine turned professor who thinks he is out of the world of violence but when he is approached by Sloane and she asks for his help he doesn’t want to but can’t refuse. He finds that he admires these vigilantes especially Sloane and their quest to clean up all the corruption in the city. There is also some pretty serious chemistry forming between the two. Will Sloane let down her walls for Luke or will the drug Phantom get the best of them all? Read Urban Justice to find out!

Urban Justice (A Chicago Vigilantes Novel Book 2) by India Kells is a romance story. The story is full of suspense and darkness. It is fast paced and just as enjoyable as the first book in the series. India’s writing style makes it easy to get lost in the pages. India is one of my favourite authors and I love the palpable grit she infuses within the story. It is also full of intrigue and danger as Sloane and her masked vigilante team try to keep the city safe from a new drug that keeps on spreading. There is one person however who thought he had left the dark life behind, but it is the beautiful woman that sees him once again hiding in the shadows.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second in the series and it stands up to the same standard as the first. It’s fast paced, filled with characters that make me want to know them better and is quite the page turner.

To say I loved it is an understatement. The story moves along. It is filled with action and suspense. I have all the characters in Noctem in a list. Each one has different qualifications and skills. I can’t wait to learn about them all. This one is Sloane. She is an ex cop and runs as the vigilante. She has had some difficult past and it’s nerve wracking watching her trying to change. She goes through some ups an downs in dealing with the past and self doubt.

Overall I enjoyed this one as much as I did the first. It isn’t necessary to read book 1 before reading this. It might enrich your enjoyment but not necessary.

This story had me hooked. India Kellé definitely knew what she was doing in this second book. The characters had chemistry out of this world. The first few pages you have to push through because Luke makes you want to slap him. With how much of a douche he is. Sloan was a very interesting character as she was the one out fighting for justice. Getting to the dirty truth. You always think of Batman when you think vigilante. But here we have a woman who past is anything but indulgent. Fighting for a city that will never thank her. I really liked how the author wrote Luke and Sloan coming together. The author made it all seem effortless. I would’ve like to explore those tunnels too. The thought of discovering something unknown to the world. To be apart of history in a permanent way. Definitely get this book so you can dive into the mystery.

Urban Justice is the second book in the Chicago Vigilantes series by India Kells. I am really enjoying this series, and I think it would make a great television series too. As in the first book, the premise of this story/series grabbed me right off-the-bat. The whole vigilante justice angle mixed with plenty of action, danger, the underworld, angst, drama, and a new deadly drug- really set this off for a fast-paced and intriguing ride. Ms. Kells held my attention the whole way through this engrossing story- and I am looking forward to seeing what happens with the rest of the series!

Thank you, India Kells!

Urban Justice is another phenomenal book by India Kells. This is the second book in the Chicago Vigilantes series, a series that should be read in order as this book follows the first. This author never ceases to amaze me with all of the detail, which makes it so easy to picture everything playing out in my mind, keeping me highly entertained the whole way through.

I loved Sloane and Luke’s story and being able to follow along in their action-packed journey filled with so much character development. The two headstrong characters had me on my toes the whole way through constantly guessing how it would all play out, and I couldn’t be happier with how it ended.

If you’re looking for an action packed read with never a dull moment, steamy scenes and great characters look no further this is the series for you! I promise you will not be disappointed.

The book was intense and fast paced from start to finish. This is the type of book that you just have to read in one go because you just can’t put it down. At times it honestly felt like the pages just turned themselves.
It was great to get back to these characters and their stories. They are intriguing and work so well together. It was brilliant to see their relationship developing throughout this story.

Sloane (main female character) is working to make the wrongs in her past right by getting rid of Phantom, a deadly drug taking over the streets of Chicago. Urban Justice (A Chicago Vigilantes Novel Book 2) by India Kells was yet another wonderfully written suspenseful romance that had me eager to finish in one sitting. Sloane Friday, an ex-cop, is working with some men in an attempt to get rid of a deadly drug wreaking havoc on Chicago. As Sloane is trying to get rid of Phantom, the deadly drug, she is reliving a part of her life she thought was in the past. Professor Luke Radcliffe, who is a former Marine, is approached by the Vigilante for help but finds himself back in a violent world he thought he had left behind. Luke begins to realize that the group he is working with is more than just a bunch of criminals, they are truly trying to right a wrong. He finds himself particularly drawn to Sloane. An unusual group of people is brought together with a common goal, rid Chicago of Phantom before it claims more lives. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this suspenseful novel, it kept me on my toes, kept me interested, and kept me wanting more. The budding romance between Sloane and Luke was another positive for this novel.

Urban Justice is the second book in the Chicago Vigilantes series. You could read it as a standalone because the author does a good job of giving bits of backstory, but you’ll get a better feel for the setup if you read book one.
This story starts out with action and keeps you turning the pages! I liked Sloane. She’s brave and dedicated to her mission. While it did feel like the attraction to Luke was a bit abrupt, their connection is still hot and steamy.
With the action, danger, mystery, and suspense, Urban Justice makes a great rainy-day reading adventure!

I have been eagerly waiting for Urban Justice, book 2 in the Chicago Vigilante Series, to come out. I loved the first book and love this one even more. The author writes in such a way that you want to read the book so you learn what happens, what situations the characters find themselves in, and see how they solve things. I love the Sloane, the strong female lead and the rest of her team who all have each other’s backs. The professor and former Marine, Luke, is a great addition and helps Sloane search the underground world to stop a dangerous drug. Although the book can be read alone, I highly suggest you read book 1 of the series first.

I was so excited and ready to get my hands on this second book, Urban Justice, in the Chicago Vigilantes series from India Kells I adored the first and was literally on the edge of my seat waiting for this one, much like I am now in anticipation for a third. Urban Justice focuses on Sloane and Luke as they once again try to save Chicago. The energy in this book is intense right out of the gate and doesn’t stop until you read the last words. I found myself transported to the underground of Chicago and the adventure and romance was enough to keep me enthralled from beginning to end. I would recommend that you read the first one before this one though, it will give you the best experience and this is a series you don’t want to miss one word of. I won’t give much more details than what is in the synopsis because I cannot let this one be spoiled. It will be worth every minute you spend with it.

Urban Justice by India Kells a fast paced for-star read. This is number two in the Chicago Vigilante series and is fast paced and thrilling with some great chemistry, but I just didn’t warm to the main character and that surprised me as I have loved all of the other characters this author has produced. I found Sloane to be fierce and feisty but couldn’t quiet grasp it all. It was fun getting deeper into the tunnels and deeper into Urbex and some of the other characters and the story.

I found this book just like the first very exciting, fast-paced and steamy to say the very least. The heroine takes the reader by the horns into her world where she and her gang save the city of Chicago (or attempt to) but it’s deeper than that. Sloane and Luke’s chemistry is very heated but better together through those action-packed scenes I love as well. I won’t give too much away other than that but this is well worth the read!

Everytime I think this author couldn’t do any more to make her a favorite on my list, I read another book by her and fall in love all over again.

I loved the first book in this series and couldn’t wait for this one. This one continues the story which I have found unique and completely awesome. This part centered around Sloane and Luke and of course the vigilante. I love how this one played out and am already chomping at the bit for the next. Not going into too many details because I feel the first book needs to be read to get the full effect. This had just enough of everything you expect when picking up an India Kells book, just enough heat, just enough connection, and awesome secondary characters. The danger had me on the edge of my seat and I read it in one sitting.

Pick up both of these books, you will not be sorry!

This is only suitable for those over 18 due to it’s grapgic nature.

This is a story about a vigilante and a reporter, who will stop at nothing to defend the city they love, but they do it in rather different ways, The Vigilante is an underground protector who uses less than legal ways to deal out justice and the reporter Orla Karlsen works with the law to bring justice through the written word. We start the story with some background of how the Vigilante was created by a group of disillusioned friends and used their skills and abilities to dispense justice in the here and now while also recovering from a loss which tore them open and that one of this group of friends is the Vigilante five years later in Chicago.

Next Orla is introduced while she is shouting at an intern for making her nearly spill her coffee and talking to her fellow journalist and friend Kelli about the story she is trying to write about the Vigilante and how she is frustrated because she isn’t making any headway with it because there are so many differing opinions and conflicting information out there, but she is determined to carry on investigating regardless and at the same time, she will be finding out about a deadly new hallucinogenic drug called Phantom which is about to hit the streets of Chicago and from what she has heard, that is the last thing that she wants to happen to the place she calls home. Orla decides that she needs to talk to some of her sources and goes to see one of them and find out what he knows, so she heads to a more dangerous area of town to his house to find him, he reveals that he isn’t in the network to sell it, but that she really shouldn’t be poking her nose around trying to find out about it, it is dangerous stuff and the people who are going to be dealing with it are smart, organised and extremely dangerous. He also reveals that it isn’t just the mafia who were in the running, a number of people flew out to Europe to bid for it including some MC’s. He directs her to go see Damon Evans, the president of a local MC who might be able to give her some more information, so saying goodbye she leaves for the next step in her investigation, she feels like she is being followed, however, she has no idea that it is the Vigilate himself tailing her.

Next we join the Vigilante who is training and is working hard at it, managing to finally put an end to the match by using speed rather than brawn, he is then told that they all need to meet with the guy in charge and discuss what Orla did the night before and who she met up with. As he is reporting his finds and discussing Orla with the team, he is not just thinking with his head when it comes to her, he also finds her attractive to say the least, however, he tries to keep his head in the game and reports that she is definitely investigating Phantom from what he managed to hear and that coupled with other information they have gained themselves, they know that the distributors will be limited and the recipe kept a secret. They all know that it is only a matter of time until it starts to kill people and that Orla is still their best bet for finding the source, so it is agreed that they will keep tailing her, with some technical back up if needed, but that they still need to stay under the radar and that it will be even more difficult to stay that way with Orla on the case as well, so he decided to do a bit of digging about her himself, but this may have been a bad idea as he develops even more of an admiration for her than he had before.

The next day Orla can still sense that she is being followed and doesn’t like it, so she decided to go to work and act as if nothing was out of the ordinary, later on she goes home to change and go to see Damon, at the El Diablo bar, a strip club filled with bikers and topless females, so taking a deep breath and settling into her adrenaline spike, she goes into the bar and talks to the bartender, at least once she gets past the bouncer outside. She asks whether Damon is in the club and what the best way is to get the attention of him and his bikers and taking his advice, she orders drinks and lap dancers for the group and asks for a card with a question on the back for the man in question, this gets his attention and as they are discussing that it may not be the best idea to threaten those around her on their turf, this as well as Phantom and how he lost the bid for it, she asks for some more information about who did. This is until there is a burst of gunfire and the next thing she knows is that he has been swung over the other side of the bar as she escapes to the outside through the back entrance, it is then that she is saved by the Vigilante and where as he helps her to escape, he tells her to run, but she is more interested in questioning him and as a distraction is planned and produced, he grabs her and takes her for an unplanned car chase on the back of a motorcycle.

When it is safe, he leaves her in a slightly less dangerous area and after questioning her about what she was doing at the bar and what she knows, when he realises it is nothing new, he leaves, but Orla has other ideas and calls in a favour to get Damon’s number, when she gets it, she gives him a call and he suggests meeting up for breakfast, Orla agrees and gets a taxi home. When she arrives back she checks her mailbox and discovers an unknown car key, this leads her down to the apartment complex’s basement where she finds the Viglante has parked a car in her space, it turns out that the distraction was her car blowing up and that this is the compensation for it, but this meeting leads to one sexual experience that neither of them will be able to forget in a hurry.

As the light of dawn breaks and they go their separate ways, they both realise that they are going to have to work together to stop this menace, but will they be able to put their feelings aside, or will it lead to a disaster which could endanger the entire city? Will they be able to find out what they need to in time, or will Phantom start to destroy all that they love? The only way to find out is to read it all and find out whether you will be sucked in as much as I was.

I’ll be honest, I picked up this book to read because I liked the cover which was mysterious and I love Chicago lol. India Kells did a fantastic job of character development, intrigue, and just the right amount of action. I enjoyed the concept of a team from different backgrounds and with different skills working together for a common reason. This story had mystery, adventure, and excitement. You could feel the heat and connection between “the vigilante” and Orla coming off the pages. I really enjoyed that the women in this book weren’t damsels in distress but instead every bit as brave, hard headed, and funny as the male characters. If you enjoy mystery with some romance and action then this is a book you want to pick up right away! I can’t wait to read the next one Urban Justice.

I really like how the author brings the characters to life. The chemistry between Sloane and Luke really adds to the mix. I again was so impressed of the balance of crime, intrigue and romance. The author has a unique balance that really ticks all the boxes for the genres covered. I like how the stories intermix with the characters and even though there is a focused couple the rest are included and bring a deeper story to the mix. I look forward to reading more from this author and this series.

This is the second book in this series. I enjoyed it just as much as the first one. This author continues to impress me with her writing skills and her attention to details. I loved being pulled into this book right from the beginning. This is a fast paced, engaging story that I had a hard time putting down. It is full of action and kept me turning pages. This story is about a group of men and women who fight for justice in different ways. Sloane is a cop who works undercover for this group. She meets Lucian who is a professor and an ex marine and she soon realizes she needs his help. As they dig into this case will they find more than what they are looking for? They were great characters and I had no problem connecting with them. They brought the story to life the more they dug into this drug mystery. Their chemistry was off the charts. I highly recommend this book and this author.
