Loved reading this book! Its a great story and definitely a must read for the holidays. Its well written and easy to read. If you want a complaint about it, I wish the book was longer. I really have nothing negative to say. You wont regret reading this book.

A Cold Creek Christmas (Reigning Hearts, Book 5) by KG Fletcher – Review by Chelsea Borders This read just flew by me. It was short but honestly made and impact and left me wanting more. If you are looking for a hopeless romance, Christmas spirit, or even just the small town intimacy, this is definitely your book. In his Christmas tale a local small town bar owner, Amber, is known as the town’s grinch because she refuses partake or even acknowledge that Christmas exists. To rescue he from her holiday pessimism enters Giovanni, the son of the towns Italian Mama. Instantly amber is shocked to find herself falling head over heels for her newest friend. But the book poses the question of whether Amber’s rocky past inhibit her from making a happy future.

This story reminded me a lot of the Donna VanLiere books I enjoy so much over the holiday season. It gives off such a feel-good happiness that you can’t help but love it. The characters are normal and relatable you can’t help fall in love with them. The perfect read for Christmas time when we all have a little extra hope and happiness laying around. It is a good reminder to appreciate what we have and be grateful. I hadn’t read any of the others in the series and the story was good on its own, I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

This is a short and sweet Christmas romance. Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I’ve read several books by this author and enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed her others. It’s a classic tale and a bit steamy, but the characters also have some emotional development and backstory, although I thought the characters could have had a bit more depth. Still, this is a warm story, perfect for the season.

I loved this Christmas novella! It had everything a Christmas romance should have. A snowy small town, a kind hearted but lonely woman and a sweet gentleman who comes along to show her what Christmas is really about.
Amber is a strong independent bar owner who loves her town and everyone it in. However, she is Cold Creek’s designated Grinch. She is in her annual bahhumbug mood when handsome Gio walks into her bar and turns her world upside down. Gio is a single father of a sweet 6 year old girl and they just moved into town when he meets Amber. He is instantly attracted to her and her spunky attitude. When he discovers that she despises Christmas he makes it his mission to find out why and to convince her to give Christmas a second try.
This book filled me with Christmas spirit and joy. It was a fast read but I still had time to fall in love with the characters and Cold Creek. This is a must read book for anyone looking to snuggle up with a blanket, some coca and romance this Christmas season!

Really cute Christmas story. Loved the fact that Amber was the grinch in the story, and the dad Giovanni was the one who loves Christmas. I do love it when we have a switch on the grump and sunshine trope. Really cute easy fast read.

This is a Contemporary Romance novel and is 156 pages in length. This story follows Amber and Giovanni. Oh my heart! Amber is a bar owner and would love a family of her own. The only problem is, she does not have the best memories of holidays and so she holds back and does not participate. Giovanni is a chef and a single dad. He loves the holidays. He talks her into spending the holidays with his family – will he be able to persuade her to look at them differently? The author really hit this out of the park!

A Cold Creek Christmas: A single dad, small town holiday novella (Reigning Hearts Book 5)
This book saved me while I was home sick. I was able read it between my naps and even helped me stay awake a little longer because I did not want to put it down.
Amber and I had something huge in common and that is neither of us being a big fan of Christmas. Our reasons are similar but different. I loved watching Amber evolve from lonely but content to a happy and in love.
I enjoyed this story so much and loved the way it ended. Happy tears may have been shed.

It’s not every day that it’s the female main character that is the one to say bah humbug about the holidays so I was instantly intrigued.and boy oh boy am I so excited to tell you just how much I loved this story. This author has definitely created a one of a kind story world with this series. Amber is definitely a person I’d be friends with in no time. From page one I knew I wouldn’t be putting this one down until the last page and I was correct. Everyone in this story brings this story to a new level of awesomeness in my opinion. The characters are complex and relatable, so very easy to connect with. The storyline flows smoothly and I loved every minute I got to spend with these characters. Five of the biggest stars I can give and highly recommended!

This is not the first book I have read by this author, but it is the first in this collection. I read this story without even realizing there was a book one through four so do not be scared away from the “Book Five” part. I had no problem reading this story, in fact I want to go and read the rest of the Reigning Hearts stories.
This story is super sweet and super cute. It is a fast read as it is a novella with instant attraction. The characters are easy to love and there is no real bad guy or evil lurking in this story. Yes, the main character had a sad life, heart breaking even, but she survived. Luckily Gio is there to help Amber learn what she has been missing.
The best quote is from Mama Sentieri “Only you can make a choice to live a life of joy or regret.”

A Cold Creek Christmas is part of the Reigning Hearts series, but can be read as a stand alone. There are mentions to past characters, but the story is independent. This was a cute quick story to get you in the Christmas spirit. The book focuses on Amber, bar owner and not a fan of the holiday and Giovanni (Geo) who loves the holidays. He has a young daughter, so he lays the Christmas spirit on thick. The two quickly hit it off, much to the delight of Gio’s grandmother, who is trying to play matchmaker between the two. I did enjoy the story and will be reading more by the author. My one complaint was the steamy scene… the words chosen were very… high school… and made me chuckle. But it didn’t take away from the story at all. I was glad to have a happily ever after.

I enjoyed every single page of this book! I love a good holiday story and this one did not disappoint. The author did a great job describing the small town of Cold Creek. It makes me want to visit during Christmas so I can join in the fun too. The pub, the Italian bakery, the bookshop and main street are all given so much detail. The characters are all really likable, especially the petite and sassy bar owner, Amber. Gio and his great-grandmother have such a special relationship and I love their story. I will now need to go back and read other books by this author who really hooked me into a book that I couldn’t put down.

If you want a quick, easy, feel-good holiday read with a little steam, A Cold Creek Christmas (Reigning Hearts #5) is for you. This is a great one to fit in on your flight or drive heading over the river and through the woods….it’s not so complex that you have a ton of characters and details to remember. Perfect for when you only have a short time to read over your holiday break. I loved how Italian stallion Giovanni was able to help the heart of Amber, the town Grinch, grow three sizes. They hit it off quickly and there are a few steamy moments that might inspire your Christmas to be merry and bright.

I’ve been on a holiday book kick these past months and this book has been one of my favorites. Amber is so funny and relatable. especially if Christmas isn’t your favorite. Gio is the Grandson of a local Italian store owner who is everyone’s Nona. Gio is a total heartthrob and from the moment he was introduced I was hooked. I highly recommend this novella. Curl up in a cozy blanket by the fireplace with some hot cocoa and crack open this wonder winter love story.

As usual with this author i loved this novella. I always say i want more even if its hundreds of pages but this one i really did want more but also this was perfect for this story. I did need to wipe a few tears away but this really got me more into the holiday spirit and to appreciate the family and traditions we seem to take for granted. I absolutely loved this story and this town this author has constructed.

What a cute Christmas story! Amber has a complicated past that has made her want to avoid Christmas, which is difficult to do in festive Cold Creek. Giovanni moved to Cold Creek to take over his grandmother’s restaurant and make a home for his daughter. When Giovanni meets Amber, he is determined to change her feelings about the holidays.
I love feel good stories. Amber, Giovanni, and the people they are surrounded by are perfectly painted and easy to fall in love with! Their stories are built well and just complex enough to make them relatable. I was sucked right into Cold Creek and before I knew it, the book was ending and I was left wanting more. The ending made me cry happy tears!

My two favourite things Christmas and romance, so of course I was not going to miss out on giving this a read and I am glad I did I loved it. It is a proper heart warming Christmas read. Gio is a single dad and he loves Christmas he is about to take over his family’s cafe so he has up and moved him and his daughter to Cold creek for a fresh start. Then there’s Amber she absolutely hates Christmas and everything about it. But can Gio warm her icy heart for the holidays. They were so cute together it makes me swoon.

It is always a privilege to read a story as good as this one. I never get sick of reading a love story that is hard fought and colourful. This Christmas sizzler was steamy, engaging and incredibly touching. Amber and Giovanni are polar opposites and there were many confrontations and laughs throughout the book. The chemistry was palpable and the incredible twist on words was addictive and very swoon worthy. Playing hard to get is one thing I love to read about. Witnessing them succumb to Cupid’s arrow is both stimulating and arousing. It touches a very deep place in the heart and proves that love really does come in all forms and packaging. 5 stars.

This was a fantastic Christmas read, absolutely perfect for this time of year! This is the fifth book in the Reigning Hearts series and in saying that I feel like this book can be read as a standalone as I was able to jump right in.
I love how the author managed to pull me in right from the start with these wonderfully complex characters, their story is at times heart breaking but overall left me feeling all kinds of emotions, and truly happy with how it all played out.

Amber Tatum puts up the least amount of Christmas decorations in her bar that her employees with let her. Giovanni moves to town with his daughter to start fresh and take over his grandmother’s café. When Gio walks into Amber’s bar, they are instantly attracted to each other. This story made me giggle at times and made my eyes fill with tears at others. I was rooting for them from the beginning. Hoping Amber would be able to get over her past and enjoy Christmas again. Hoping Gio could love someone again after a divorce that left him raising an infant. This was a very enjoyable read that makes me look forward to having my family around me for Christmas.

This is a cute little story. The story rolled along nicely and I liked the idea of it. I did struggle to connect to the characters. I almost felt they were a bit two dimensional and needed just a bit more to bring them to life.
While this is the fifth in the series it can easily be read as a stand alone. Its a classic story of a grumpus on Christmas who meets the holly jolly. How they meet, get along and who does the changing. I really liked Gio but felt that Amber is wishy washy and she overcame her issue too easily

This is a beautiful romance reminiscent of the tale of Scrooge. I love feel good romances especially this time of the year. This book will definitely pull on your heartstrings as it did mine, leaving me teary eyed several times.
Amber had a horrible childhood which leads her to hate the holidays but when Gio walks into her life, all that changes. Giovanni is a single dad that loves life and Christmas. He lights a spark that turns into a flame in Amber. After all the tragedies of her past, can Amber open up to him? Can the magic of Christmas bring them together?
This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone. The characters are wonderful and the story will warm up your heart. A great story just in time for the holidays.

This is the perfect Christmas story…. it really had my emotions going up and down. This is Amber and Gio’s story, and though it was short it was so sweet. The success of recipe always depends on the quality of your ingredients, and this small town snowy romance does not disappoint!! Well developed main characters, vibrant imaginings of small town somewhere and just enough background history to give the story realism. Sparks fly and develop into a steamy few scenes that add just enough spice to keep the reader interested! Handsome Italian chef Gio meets sassy pub owner Amber as Christmas gets into full swing, the hardest time of the year for Amber. If you’re looking for a couple to cheer for, look no further. “A Cold Creek Christmas” by K.G. Fletcher is a heart-warming holiday romance story. Amber struggles with Christmas, and is just trying to get through the holiday season. She meets Gio, an amazing single dad who loves Christmas! When Amber meets Gio’s young daughter, Talia, she begins to open up to the idea of celebrating Christmas again. This book has amazing character development and was very enjoyable! It is the 5th book in the series, but is the first one that I have read. It can easily be read as a stand-alone novella.

This is steamy but sweet and has some really comedic moments that just made the characters so believable, relatable and human. This Christmas novella will fill you with hope and cheer, even to those who are a little grinch during the holiday season. Amber, the local pub owner, and Gio, new to town single father, brought some spiciness and heartwarming moments to this sweet holiday story. Every time I read a book by this author, I know that I will enjoy every word she writes. Gio’s daughter Talia might have stolen my heart a few times.
