Check Out Audiobook (The Bobbins Sisters Series) by Debra Parmley – Review by Sunday Barnaby

Check Out – Bobbins Sisters Series – Book 1 by Debra Parmley
Narrated by Talece Brown
Four Stars

This is the first book I have listened to by this author and narrator. I enjoyed the story about a war veteran and small town librarian. The sister with trouble following her makes it more interesting. I liked how the story flowed. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. The narrator did a good job bringing the characters to life.

Obedience (Ties That Bind Book 1) by Liza Snow – Review by Heidi Sturgess

ObedienceObedience by Liza Snow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cassandra first saw Chandler as a little girl and he left a lasting impression on her so now the little girl has blossomed into a beautiful woman and is auditioning to train at their school…. Her audition leaves Chandler all hot and bothered ….

Chandler has issues of his own and his dad and grandfather seem to haunt him and his recent ex wife is a pain in the rear 😬but his attraction to Cassandra is undeniable and it’s from born doses , they’re both fighting the inevitable though ….

Cassandra is also running from her uncle , her very dangerous uncle , the very same one she helped put behind bars ….she’s also no stranger to loss having lost both her magician parents in a devastating fire

I think the best way to describe this book is artistic with hints of mystery , suspense , romance and sensuality, the ending nearly killed me but I would read this again just to be all bound and wound up 😉

These boys are going to be the death of me !!!!

Soleil aka Sunny and Tille are best friends and Soleil is on her way to visit in LA but Tillue’s house is being fumigated so they’re going stay in her “ big” brothers house , the very same one that our girl has been crushing in mist of her life 🔥 her saving grace is that he won’t be home or so they think …..

Tripp comes home early from a mission , he’s tired and just wants to crash so imagine his surprise when he finds a warm body in his bed and it’s not who he expects 🔥🙈🤣

Soleil needs the help of the Garza brothers and their company Red Cage to find out her real identity and before they can even get started trouble comes their way , someone doesn’t want them finding out the truth …..

Soleil is something of an internet sensation with her own fitness show but she’s safe as long as Tripp and the boys have eyes on her ….

Tripp is so irritated by her presence but it’s because he wants what he can’t have and the tension between these had my kindle almost melting at times because they’re poetry in motion these 2 😉 there’s time for laughs as well and the banter between these 2 had me in stitches 🙈

Tripp is so protective of Soleil and her story is a sad one but he’s there when she needs him most ❣️ I really enjoyed them but I’m nosy as to to Tillie’s Mr X is , I’ve my suspicions and I hope I’m right but I’m sitting on the edge of my seat , holding my breath in great anxiousness 😉

Rivals (Mafia Elite Book 7) by Amy McKinley – Review by Allison Davis

Rivals (Mafia Elite, #7)Rivals by Amy McKinley

I’m so sad this is the last book in this series. It was so happy to finally see a story for Nico. Mia Tucci needs Nico help to take down her family and a sex trafficking ring, but what neither of them expected was for actually feelings to get involved. The story is full of the perfect amount of romance *queue eye brow wiggle 😉 *, suspense, action, and the love and protection of family.

This was a fantastic Mafia series, they are quick reads, but ones you can’t put down. I would recommend to anyone!

Deception (Central Florida Stories Book 1) by Victoria Saccenti

Great story! Full of action & adventure, with just the right amount of twists. Leaves the reader wanting more. Couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to determine what happens at the end! First time reading Victoria Saccenti, but it definitely won’t be my last!

While away at war, the bonds formed between the soldiers is like no other. Joe, an ex-marine is full of anger & rage and ready to extract revenge on the girl who broke his war time buddy’s heart, causing him to commit suicide . While Joe’s original intention with Hunter is to avenge his buddy’s death, he finds himself completely captivated by her as well. As the story unfolds, Joe is torn between continuing to seek revenge for his friend’s death and the feelings he is developing for Hunter. Will he allow himself to develop a sincere relationship with Hunter, or will the anger consuming him over the death of his friend be too much to let go, causing him to lose the possibility of a true relationship with Hunter?

Ellawyn and Beckett have a sweet story. Boy meets girl at the most opportune time. Beckett’s love for his grandfather brings him to try to save the shop and Ellawyns love for the shop brings her right by his side to help. Small town love story but it takes on some tough topics that only love can help navigate and conquer. This was my first read by this author but she hit the mark and I truly enjoyed it.

Blood Oath by Amy McKinley – Review by Crystal Jimmo

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, #2)Blood Oath by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First things first, I highly suggest reading the first book of this series, as there are some things mentioned in the second book from the first book. Now that, is out of the way holy cow!!!! She did it again. This author never ceases to amaze me with her writing skills. Not only do we get another awesome badass female lead, she is also has human flaws which makes her relatable. This book follows Sophia in the following events of the first book. There is just so much of this book that I absolutely loved. The storytelling, the writing itself, the characters, everything was amazing and I couldn’t finish it fast enough! I can’t wait see what’s next by this amazing author!

I NEED BOOK TWO!!! This was a great mystery romance. I really enjoyed it and the characters. Grant and Jordan are great, and I loved following their relationship. Their dynamic was so great and real. The mystery situation was really intriguing, and the suspense was killing me on every single page. I highly recommend and cannot wait to read the next installment!

SECRETS NEVER DIE by Laurie Lewis – Review by Maura Harper

Secrets Never DieSecrets Never Die by Laurie L.C. Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

SECRETS NEVER DIE is one of those books that I read based solely on the author’s name and nothing else. I have always enjoyed the way this author tells a tale and holy moly, this was quite the tale.

This is a well plotted, intricately woven, always in motion story that holds your attention from beginning to end. There are times that I got a little lost because I was reading too fast and missed important details. I had to make myself slow down so I could absorb what was going on.

Fantastic world building, suspenseful, twists and turns abound while leaning why some SECRETS NEVER DIE.

I think this book would make a fantastic selection for a book club or dinner night discussion.

The Boss Man: A Contemporary Romantic Suspense Novel (The Manly Series Book 4) by Teddy Hester – Review by Jenni Bishop

The Boss Man: A Steamy Contemporary Romantic Suspense Novel (The Manly Series Book 4)The Boss Man: A Steamy Contemporary Romantic Suspense Novel by Teddy Hester
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Boss Man: A Steamy Contemporary Romantic Suspense Novel (The Manly Series  Book 4) by Teddy Hester is a that draws you in right from the start. The passion, desire  and chemistry between the main characters, Jack and Jill is palpable and their banter is  fun and witty. Throw in a little frustration, mystery and deadlines and the story is  rounded out. I enjoyed Teddy’s writing style and the story but felt there could have  been much more to this story but that said I enjoyed the book. It flows well and is a  quick and easy read.

The Boss Man: A Contemporary Romantic Suspense Novel (The Manly Series Book 4) by Teddy Hester – Review by Robin Rankin

The Boss Man: A Steamy Contemporary Romantic Suspense Novel (The Manly Series Book 4)The Boss Man: A Steamy Contemporary Romantic Suspense Novel by Teddy Hester
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Boss Man by Teddy Hester is the fourth book in the Manly Series. Though part of a series it can be read as a standalone which was a good thing for me since I had not heard of this series until this book. I do however intend to go back to meet the other DePaul boys.

Jack is the baby of the family and seems to have the most to prove. Not sure if that is a youngest child trait or not since I’m the oldest. It was apparent from the get go that he needed to show the world, especially his family he can do this.

Jillian had my sympathy, the only girl being raised by her dad and two older brothers couldn’t have been easy for her, but she fights to become an independent strong woman who knows what she wants.

I loved their story. I do wish more loose ends were tied up for me. I’m just nosy like that.

Definitely give this book a try.
