After reading Ten Little Starfish, I just had to jump in to read the other counting books like it. This not only has a great counting aspects but also has some really great descriptive learning words which we loved to practice. I also loved the little tidbits at the end of the books about the sandpipers.I now have to go read other books from this talented author. My littles will love them just like they love these ones.

Kim Ann books have some beautiful illustrations that make me want to read more from this author. I’ve always wanted to witness baby sea turtles going back to the sea, and now does my little one. He loves the water and everything with it. So this book was a perfect read for us tonight. Also what made it better was that he was learning his numbers as we went through the book. Looking forward to reading more!

This is one book in the Marine Life Counting Collection, and it’s tied for our favorite! To be fair, they’re all three tied because they are all absolutely wonderful. The illustrations throughout this series are some of my favorites in any children’s book I have read. We look forward to all of the fun facts at the end because it turns out that no one in the family knows them. My youngest likes to share these facts with random passersby, so he’s spreading the word! The rhyming always has us bopping along and the QR code for the song at the end was an awesome bonus! I highly recommend adding this to your classroom or home collection for the little ones in your life.

My kiddos and I have read a few books by this lovely author before and picked this one up as we love anything involving the beach! The illustrations in this story are absolutely beautiful and brought a smile to our faces as well. There are some fun facts towards the end that none of us knew! It was so cool to learn those together. The rhythmic rhyming had all of us bopping along as we read it out and made it sound like a song. This would be a great addition to any classroom, library, or home collection for young ones!

Of course, as an adult I can already count to ten, but when you have some cute little sea turtles to aid you, that makes it so much better. This was an adorable, well illustrated children’s book, and the sea turtles were just the cutest. At the end the author listed different facts about sea turtles, added a song, and little activities to make reading it more fun and kid friendly. I thought this was a nice little touch.

Another cute counting story and this time with starfish. I personally love to learn about starfish and it is great for children to be exposed to all types of animals and sea life. This cute starfish explores their surroundings of the beach, waves, and tide pools as they grow in numbers. The language in the story exposes emotions and extensive word choices, which is great for foundational learning to prepare preschoolers for school. Illustrations are beautiful but definitely color digital or hardcopy is best for this selection. Great facts on starfish included as well as some fun activities for children to do.

I’ve previously read the Ten Little Sea Turtles in this collection and it was so great that I already knew this one would be as well! And honestly I didn’t even know what sandpipers were until I read this book. So even though it is a book for children, as a parent, it doesn’t hurt to keep learning! These little cute birdies keep adding up to its group on each page in different sequences of events. Children are exposed to extensive language and exploration of beach life in a group setting. My favorite part is when they meet up with their mother and line up behind her as to infer on following their parent, role model, teacher, or any leader influence. Little tidbits of information are shared on sandpipers as well.

What a great children’s book! Perfect for those kids in preschool age range either for daycares or at home. Children will not only learn the importance of counting their numbers but also the great bond of sea turtles, working together with others, and the beauty of sea life. Children are exposed to so many learning fundamentals that become foundational blocks for advanced learning as well. The illustrations are so beautiful as well! Definitely hardcopy of this book is better than digital format to enjoy pictures but also free exploration for those little hands!

Ten Little Turtles is an exciting and adorable adventure for small children!

Readers will meet 10 of the most adorable baby sea turtles. The illustrations are bright and beautiful, and the story teaches children about baby sea turtles’ journey to get to the ocean. The author uses rhythmic rhyme that keeps their attention.

At the end of the book, the author also includes an interactive game for children to play, where they can identify other sea creatures. Additionally, there is a QR code that provides a song children can listen to and sing, adding an interactive and fun element to the reading experience.

We had barely finished the last book by this author when we picked up this one straight away. As we have already come to expect, this book was fun, educational and such a pleasure to read. My kids had never heard of Sandpipers before so it was a great way for them to not only learn about them, but to reinforce the learning of numbers.
Every time we read one of these books, my son in particular will spend days counting everything we come across. It is great to see him take so much away with these books and we will definitely be reading more!

Having read another book in this series, my son was desperate to read another book by this author. Ten Little Sea Turtles is the next one we happened to pick up and I can easily say he enjoyed it just as much as the other one.
These books, although educational, are so much fun to read. The illustrations are vivid and engaging and we definitely got as much joy in them as the actual story. This book has been read multiple times already and I am sure will be read many more.

This book is part of the A Counting Collection series of books. I loved the illustrations in this book. It is intended primarily for young children, just learning how to count. However, my children liked it as well, because of the illustrations and their love of sea turtles and the beach. I would highly recommend this for parents of young children, but truly feel that anybody of any age can enjoy it. My suggested ages would be birth thru first or second grade, for educational purposes, but I am sure that older elementary school children would enjoy it as well.
