FIVE STARS
Lazarus is the man to end his father. After many many years of destruction, deceit, lies and so many other things. But keeping Sasha away and keeping her out of his mind and heart are proving to be impossible.
This book is full of suspense and tension. It is a fabulous read. I have never read any of the other books in the series and while yes I could tell there was a back story with Lazarus and Sasha, it did not keep me from knowing and understanding what was taking place in this final book of this series.
The author really keeps you guessing and trying to help them figure out where the old man is. A real page turner.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The last book in the series and it was spectacular! I could not put it down, and when it ended I was sooo disappointed that this was the last one. I fell in love with every brother in this series, but Lazarus King stole my heart!
Lazarus is the oldest brother, and he was determined to end things with his father once and for all. With his brothers settled he vowed to protect them, and to keep this battle out of their reach. When Dr. Sasha Landry lands in his sights again she becomes his ally, and also the women he loves. With an even more fierce determination he now must protect his brothers and the women he loves, and he is ready to do what needs to be done at any cost.
Prepare for steam, suspense, action, and a love like no other.

What a way to round out such an incredible series. This book has definitely got to be the best out of them all and for me it took this series to a whole new level. It was such an engaging book. Lazarus is an enigmatic character and i was enthralled by him. The whole of this book was so exciting to read. Even though I didn’t want the story to end I just could not stop reading.
This is an autnor that I always pick up without hesitation and this book showcases why. Another fantastic story and I am already looking forward to rereading the whole series.

King Bastard (Dark Sparrow, #6)King Bastard by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the last book in the series and I’m so sad about that. These books have all been amazing and gripping stories and this one was no different. In this story we follow the final brother Lazarus King.

Lazarus is the oldest brother and he is the main person still out to get his father. With his brothers now settled with partners his focus is solely on protecting them and their loves and making sure the man who is a threat to them is stopped. However he plans to do this alone. He doesn’t want his brothers involved and at risk and likewise he doesn’t want to risk any one else.

What he didn’t plan on was the love of his life being the fiesty doctor Sasha. Sasha is strong willed and just as determined to protect the man she loves as much as he wants to protect her.

Can they work together to stop the main causing them danger? Will Lazarus  let his brothers and Sasha in even though its dangerous? Or will Sasha rebel against Lazarus’s protection and potentially put them all in danger?

King Bastard (Dark Sparrow, #6)King Bastard by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 6th, and I assume final, book in the series. As there are 6 ‘Bastard’ brothers and this is the 6th book, added to the storyline in this book, I’m assuming that this series has now come to an end. I will certainly miss this series as each and every book, including this 6th one, have been amazing. I have been a fan of this author for a few years now and I’ve loved every single book of hers that I have read.
At last we get the story of the last brother Lazarus. I’ve been waiting for his story for a long time and it certainly did not disappoint. I really loved reading Lazarus and Sasha’s story. Having met Sasha previously when Lazarus was severely injured and she was his nurse, I just knew that their story would be a damn good one.
This author has an amazing skill of writing amazing romantic suspense novels. I love that we get so much more than just a romance story. The back story to this book, as well as the others in the series, of the brother’s vendetta against their father has had me gripped throughout the series and I was desperate to know how this would conclude.
I absolutely loved this book, and the whole series and I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us, the readers, next.

King Bastard (A Dark Sparrow Novel Book 6) by India Kells. I have loved this series and I am sad its over! India Kells is one of my go to authors and this book was as great as I expected it to be. This is story of Lazarus and man oh man, he’s the perfect book boyfriend! Lazarus (Oz) and his brothers have almost taken down their father and they think they have protected everyone close to them. The one missing link is Sasha. When Oz almost died, Sasha helped nurse him back to life and the one thing he didn’t expect was to grow feelings for her. Leaving her unprotected is the one thing their dad can hurt. The Chemistry between Oz and Sasha is off the charts and I couldn’t put it down once I started reading. Oz will do whatever it takes to protect Sasha and I mean anything. Will Oz be able to keep Sasha safe and will they finally let their walls down to be together? Read King Bastard to find out!

King Bastard (Dark Sparrow, #6)King Bastard by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As with the other books in this series this one is a real page turner. The time has come to finally take down the Bastard that started it all. In this dark world they are sick of the games of cat and mouse, where suspense and danger are the name of the game. Where secrets and lies have ruined it all but now is the time for it to end. It is time to find and take out the cold hearted monster who has caused so much pain and suffering and rain down ruin and cause havoc. I was on the edge of my seat and kept turning the pages forgoing sleep as I had to know what was coming but with all the twists and turns you don’t see what’s coming. The author paints a complex and multi layered story that is full of intrigue and action, lies and danger, hate and suspense, and so much more.
What would you do to keep all those you love safe?

Okay y’all. Here it is. The END OF THE LINE for The Dark Sparrow Series. And hot damn what a series it was. And it ended with my favorite silver fox of them all- the yummy delicious Oz. 🤤 This author poured some heart soul sweat and tears into this book because I felt all the feels (as per usual with this author) and it was great. I’m just so glad we finally (not that i was in a rush because I’m sad it’s over 🥺) got his book! I’ve really enjoyed learning about his character throughout the series and Inwas almost worried his book would be too hyped up in my head- but it was fantastic. What a great one! And I canNOT finish this review without mentioning Sasha- I really enjoyed her character throughout the series and I’m glad to see her story be told too! She’s so sarcastic and funny- as so many of the Sparrows are. I loved this series and I’m sad to see it coming to an end- although the journey was pretty amazing. Check these out y’all! 💖

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fraught with danger and uncertainty, Lazarus and Sasha’s journey was not for the faint hearted. It was gripping, intense and fast paced. The chemistry between the two was palpable and it was a race against time to find their way through to their HEA. The story was well constructed and meticulously detailed. It was written with fierce determination and the love story to end all love stories was the target. Perfectly executed and a fantastic, well rounded tale that elevated the heart rate and stole my breath. Where nothing turns out quite as expected and tension lurks at every corner, the end game was to make it out alive and protect above all else. Throw in obligation, loyalty and monster slaying, you have yourself one cracker of a story. Never boring, never lacking. Always giving. 5 stars.

As always you get glimpses of all your favorite characters in this book as well. The closeness and struggles that come with most families. This book will have you riveted to your seat as you wait for the next foot to fall. The author does not disappoint in any way. This is a must read. I’m just sad that these wonderful characters have come to an end. I could read about them for much longer.

This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. Her books always pull me in from the start. They are well written and her use of details make her stories realistic. This book is no different. I loved reading this book. It is a fast paced, engaging story that has characters that not only bring the story to life but are also unique and creative. This is the sixth book in this series which I highly suggest reading all of the previous books to help your enhancement of this series and this author’s writings. This is a romance-suspense story that I read in one sitting as it is that great. The characters are not only steamy but have great chemistry and growth throughout the story. I had no problems connecting with them and they made the story entertaining to read. This is truly a great book and a must read. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I loved this author’s writing, they made the story flow so easily, it was so easy to get hooked and lost in the story and the characters, there was so much to knot, and a want to know so very much more! I loved the character growth I saw, the sorry was interesting and yet addictive at the same time!

I think the thing I loved most as well as truly enjoyed about this novel, is the emotions that went along with this book. With Lazarus and his love, you did not just hear the words he spoke of how he felt about her, you literally lived it. It was a mind sweeping romance of love and passion, that was more than real, and was something so easily to visualize! I loved the emotions the author made the reader feel!

The suspense the novel gave me regarding Lazarus and his life style was so intriguing, honestly I have to say it was off the wall amazing. From passion and romance to danger and action, it was the perfect bundle of what I wanted. This book was very enjoyable and freaking amazing! It kept me hooked on every word and every turn, it was a great, fun and fast pace read, loved every minute of this ride.

I loved this book truly, and this is one if your into the romantic suspense reads as I am you for sure will devour this book as I did. This was such a bittersweet read for me. Having read all the previous instalments, I connected with this band of brothers and looked forward to following each one as they got their own book. So, knowing this was the last book in the series was a little sad- I was sooo not ready to say goodbye…. But at the same time, I desperately wanted to know how things would finally play out, but more importantly, getting a front row seat to the ‘Oz’ show- and what a fantastic show it was!! Ms. Kells definitely had me completely engrossed in the story- I devoured the book in a couple of hours, just so I could find out what happens.
King Bastard is the sixth and final book in the Dark Sparrow series by India Kells. It is an addictive romantic suspense- full of action, adventure, tension, danger, chemistry, intrigue, gripping developments, emotion, drama, complex characters, sizzling encounters, romance, family dynamics, agendas, and so much more. As expected, the story is superbly written, with a complex and multi-layered storyline that was so much more than I anticipated. What a way to wrap up the series! I loved every intense minute!!
I highly recommend this book- but if you have yet to read the rest of the series, I really recommend that you do as each book helps to build a bigger picture- trust me- you will find that one story is not enough! Prepare to develop an India Kells addiction!
Even though this instalment wraps up this series and I am sad to say goodbye, I know Ms. Kells will have something amazing in the works that will be just as enjoyable and addictive as this series has been. She never fails to deliver the goods! So excited to see what she does next!
Happy reading!

Thank you, India Kells!

You feel everything. The plot just grabs you and keeps you engaged and not wanting to leave. This author is another of my favorite. Her books are very engaging. This series has been one of my favorites to read. I definitely recommend you get out and give this one a shot. You won’t be disappointed if you like action, suspense and romance. Dark Bastard: A Dark Sparrow Novel by India Kells. This author never lets me down. Each book I get to read is better than the last. Sam and Ellie may have seriously stolen my heart with their story. From page one I was drawn in and couldn’t put the book down. I loved the time I got to spend with these characters, they had a way of bringing the storyline to life and it was an honor to read. As they discuss the mission and she meets the man in charge who explains the situation and as soon as she agrees to help, she is put up in an apartment in the north side of Chicago. Her neighbours are lovely, albeit an odd couple and very eccentric but whom endear themselves to Deva pretty quickly and a couple of days of settling in later, she heads over to the gym she will be working in as the new physiotherapist with a mission to keep the MMA fighters who train there fit and ready to fight. However, when she arrives there on her first day, she is surprised to see that the gym is filled with who normally wouldn’t be seen dead around each other, but when she eyeballs the one she is looking for, she is taken aback and that reaction is not normal for her in the slightest.

As Deva becomes part of the furniture at the Gym, she hasn’t officially run into Aleksei and she is worried that she won’t be able to fulfil her mission or her promise, that is until one night when he sneaks into the gym after hours asking for a treatment, but when things get heated between them while Deva is treating him, things get a little spicy, but once Deva cottons on to what is happening, she stops what she is doing and leaves, it is when she realises that it isn’t the kind of treatment he was after. The next day the gym owner is not himself and when she asks what is wrong, it turns out that Aleksei was injured in a fight and needs to get better for his next one in a few days and he asks Deva if she knows anyone who can help, thankfully she does and her mission truly starts when she ends up staying at his apartment to treat him.

This triggers more than a professional relationship when neither of them can deny the burning attraction between them and as they get to know each other more, things get complicated and Deva and Aleksei are thrown together on a mission to protect more than just each other. Will Deva be able to keep her past and present separate, or will it come back to haunt her again? This is a romantic suspense with more action than you can throw a stick at which will dig in its claws and keep you reading until the end.

Cold Bastard (Dark Sparrow Novel Book 2) by India Kells- Review by Jade Thomson

Cold Bastard (Dark Sparrow #2)Cold Bastard by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Okay. Finished this book early this morning. Like the second I woke up I HAD to finish. I really enjoyed the characters from her last book and i LOVED Zoe and Archer even more. Once more the storyline was captivating- there was only a few times I had to take a break from the book. (Definitely made me emotional- that’s as much a spoiler as I’m giving!) This book was even sexier and darker than the last one. Anyone not reading this series is missing out. On to the next! 💖

PS. Hector might be my favorite!

Book 5

This is another look into the Bastard Brothers. This is Sam and Ellis’ story. A romantic suspenseful continuation to A Dark Sparrow Novel. Ellie works as an 911 operator, her job is a continual phone call, all have their own traumatic event. She has had enough. Sam on the other hand has his own demons. The man he has known as father has pushed Sam into wanting to finish it all. Making what was to be his last call to his brother, ends up calling Ellie. That is where this story starts. But you will need to keep reading as there are no spoilers from me.

India Kells has once again drawn me into her Dark Sparrow series. I waited for this one and the suspense that I was waiting for happened. So much more was opened up in this story. Sam and Ellie are so much alike, both have open hearts and the need to help others, before themselves. I have enjoyed all of the characters in all of this series. But Sam and Ellie are my favorite. This is a non stop emotional rollercoaster of a ride. Well Done India Kells! Well Done!
