My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Purrfectly Framed is a great follow-up in this delightful series!

The book starts off with a bang right out of the gate! Cat groomer Molly finds herself embroiled in another murder mystery when her friend, Evan, finds the body of his old high school art teacher, Agnes, in his photography studio in the darkroom. Once the police get involved, Evan becomes their prime suspect when it is uncovered that she tried to ruin Evan’s aspirations of becoming a successful artist. However, he isn’t the only person who does not mourn Agnes’s death. It seems like no one liked her, and she had a reputation as a rotten human being who enjoyed spreading misery in everyone’s lives that she touched. Molly is determined to find the real killer before Evan goes to prison for a crime he didn’t commit.

As with the first book, the mystery has many twists and turns. It was also sprinkled with Hartman’s wit and humor. And let’s not forget Molly’s cats, Percival and Jasper, who with their feline instincts, play a big role in solving the crime and protecting her. If you like cozy mysteries with a quirky cast of characters in a small town with a dash of romance, give this smart series a try!

I picked up this book immediately after reading the first in the Mobile Cat Groomer Mystery series because the author’s way of writing is natural yet incredibly engaging. We get to return to Molly and her furry feline companions as we jump directly into the drama and intrigue from the very beginning. The cats are well described in their behaviors and can be quite humorous at times. Molly is just as amazing as in the first installment, but I have grown to love her even more with this follow-up! I truly enjoy the twists and turns as we try to figure out who could be at the center of the dark happenings in their town. Molly and her cats are the most adorable detectives I’ve run across thus far, and I look forward to more by this author. If you enjoy cozy mysteries that are told with suspenseful yet slightly humorous details, this should be the next book you pick up!

Molly is back with her cats ready to solve another murder! Molly’s friend, Evan, is a photographer and has been asked to work with Molly’s clients for pet portraits. When Molly went to his studio to meet him, he was in shock saying that there is someone in there. Molly went in to investigate and there on the floor was a woman bludgeoned. Turns out it was Evans’ old high school art teacher, Agnes Temple.

Agnes was a bitter old woman who thrived on causing trouble with anything and anyone around her, which means a number of people have motives.Once again the sheriff has his eyes set on one suspect and refuses to look into much else. This time his target is Evan. Molly knows that Evan has to be innocent so she takes it upon herself with the help of her friends to find the real murderer once again.

Seems like half the town is happy that Agnes is no longer able to cause trouble, any of these townspeople could be the murderer.

I was excited to read this book as soon as I finished the first one in the series ‘Brushed up on Murder’. I love Molly and her cats. She is stubborn, independent, caring and will stop at nothing to protect those she considers a friend. The way that the author wrote this book, it could be read as a stand alone. The only issue I had was how whenever the previous murder in book 1 was mentioned, it just kept saying ‘Whitewater Valley’s previous murder’. No previous names or anything making it unrealistic conversation and monotone in my opinion.

I’ve read a couple of other books by this author and have always enjoyed the fun mysteries they create. This is the beginning of the Mobile Cat Groomer Mystery series, so I dove right in! I’m a big cat lover as well as mysteries which made this a purrfect fit for me. The way the author has crafted such a cute and cozy mystery is marvelous and was incredible to curl up with in this rainy weather we’ve had. It is quite entertaining and had me giggling at a few different parts of the book. Our main character, Molly, was an absolutely wonderful person to watch become a bit of a detective when she suddenly discovers the unimaginable. I won’t give anything away, but I will be recommending this book to many people! I’ve already picked up the next book in the series, and I’m ready to keep this cozy mystery going!

Once again, Molly Stewart finds herself at the scene when the body of Agnes Temple is discovered at the premises of the local photographer and friend, Evan.
Molly is a cat groomer with a mobile grooming van and a shop with an efficient assistant, Veronica. It seems as if everyone in town has a cat to be groomed and is willing to spill their secrets to Molly. It turns out that plenty of people had issues with Agnes Temple, but who had enough motive to kill her, and why in Evan’s studio?
Molly just can’t resist investigating to help her friend Evan and uncover the real culprit, much to the chagrin of the local sheriff.
Even though this is the 2nd book in the Mobile Cat Groomer Mystery series it can be read alone, though I would encourage you to read the first book for more background information. It is a fast paced cozy mystery where the stars of the show are the cats, of course.

Another enjoyable and engaging cozy mystery with a feline twist. Having read and enjoyed book one it was lovely being back with mobile cat groomer Molly and her feline friends Percival and Jasper. Molly’s friend Evan is taking photographs of her new feline clients for her. However, Molly has to turn amateur detective again when the body of Evan’s old art teacher is found in Evan’s darkroom. Luckily they spot some suspicious activity in the background of one of his photos. Molly receives an anonymous phone call threatening them and their pets, so she decides to find the murderer without the police. Once again I was hooked by the intriguing storyline and kept guessing by the plot twists. I still love Molly and her furry friends and love solving the mystery alongside them. I hope there will be a book 3 soon!

An entertaining and engaging cozy mystery with cute cat companions-a purrfect read!
Molly Stewart loves her job as a mobile cat groomer and being able to pamper purring felines. Until one of her pet parents is found stabbed with a garden implement in his own backyard. When her own Uncle, Russ becomes the main suspect and with the sheriff not looking for anyone else, Molly decides to turn amateur detective. Luckily she has help not only from the very handsome vet Hank but also Molly’s cats, Percival and Jasper. Together they must hunt for clues as to the real murderer and prove Uncle Russ’s innocence, before Molly becomes a victim herself. I loved the mix of different characters, as a cat lover I particularly loved Percival and Jasper. I liked how they all added to the overall storyline, even the cats. The intriguing mystery kept me hooked throughout and I am already looking forward to book two in the series.

Molly is at it again in book two! She has asked her friend Evan to photograph her clients (cats). In book one he took photos of her two cats and she thought it would be great to offer to her cat owners. But someone has other plans. The go into his studio and find Evan’s old art teacher dead in the darkroom!! Molly wants to call the police, but once again Evan, her animal friends, and herself are threatened! Molly is determined to find out who the killer is. The background in a photo might help. But can Molly find out who the killer is and stop them before someone else dies?! And again, what about the cats!! Man this is such a fun series. I am so glad that I gave it a chance. You’ll be guessing who the killer is and be wrong half the time! LOL. But that’s also fun!!

This book was really good! I was a little worried with it being a murder mystery with cats, but I am so glad that I gave it a shot! I loved it! I couldn’t figure out who the murderer was at first and I LOVE that!! I can normally spot the killer right away and it kind of sucks. But not with this one!! I was torn between a couple people who I thought did it! In this book you meet Molly. She’s a cat groomer that has a shop, but also has a mobile van she works out of as well. She loves her job and she love animals. Everything was going great until one of her fur parents started acting strange. He’s normally over her shoulder watching everything she does to his cat. His time he dropped the cat off and asked her to bring him home later. So odd for this person. She tries to bring him home, but no one answers the door. Thinking that maybe he was outside in the back yard she goes around to check. Unfortunately she finds him dead in the garden. Things don’t add up and the sheriff seems dead set on the killer before even looking at all the evidence. Molly starts to do her own investigation. A lot of people are acting odd and there seems to be a lot of arguments around town. When he gets a treat about her and her cat she knows that their is more to this murder then anyone knows. Will she find the killer before he kills her? And what about the poor cats!! Such a great suspenseful murder mystery. I can’t wait to read the next book!!

This is the second book in the Mobile Cat Groomer series. Even though it is the second book they can be read as a standalone read, however if you love cosy mysteries then you will definitely enjoy reading the first book as well.

Molly is a mobile cat groomer. Along with her 2 furry friends she likes to look after other people’s felines as well as capturing her own in photos. While Molly’s friend Evan was capturing pictures of the cats he also caught something’s he never expected to.
That thing has one again lead this gang on a hunt for clues looking for a killer. But things won’t be simple and when Molly receives threats to her friends and her beloved pets if she continues to look she knows that she can’t give up. This person needs to be caught not just for the crime they’ve committed but to protect everyone she holds dear. But can they solve the clues and the killer before they strike again?

These books are great cosy mysteries with characters that you will love and twists and turns you won’t see coming. This is definitely a series I love to curl up reading and losing myself in Molly’s determination to solve the case. I look forward to reading more of Molly’s adventures with her felines.

I couldn’t wait to have another afternoon to myself and I was furrily rewarded 🥰🐾

So Molly wants to have a photoshoot of her and furry clients and who best to ask but her friend Evan 😉

Both are in for a surprise when they get to his darkroom , they really did get more than they bargained for when they find his old art teacher , Agnes Temple , bludgeoned to death 🤯 and naturally poor Evan is a prime suspect because they had quite the falling out , oh dear 🙈

They see something out of the ordinary in one of the pics and before she can even get to the sheriff they get a threatening phone call that puts not only her and Evan in danger but those furry friends and that’s when she decides she’ll solve this one on her own and I can’t say I blame her her because you can threaten me but not my animals so I get her heart ….

I love how the cats are involved and Lottie and Florence are hysterical characters 🤣and I’d love to age like these 2 dames that’s for sure and with my quirky nature I may just be fortunate enough 😉 I thoroughly enjoyed this read and again would recommend it with a smile and happy heart ❣️📚🐾

Oh my goodness how cute is this cover !?

Having cats of my own and being involved in feral cat care this one tickled my fancy and then I also have a friend that is a groomer and yes she’s also a mobile groomer so naturally she came to mind when I read this 🤣🙈📚

Molly Stewart loves her job and how can she not she works with such floofy friends 🥰🐾

So Mr Durbin drops his kitty off for treatment and while there he gets a text but begire walks out he asks her to drop kitty off at his home after treatment which she goes but she can’t seem to find him and when she dies she’s in for a shocker ! He’s dead in his garden 🙈 now he wasn’t the town favourite by no means but her uncle becomes the chief suspect so she has to find his killer and clear her uncle of the crime ….

The vet is easy on the eyes and I wouldn’t mind take my furry friends to him 🥰🐾🤣but he’s also good in helping her solve the mystery and yes the sheriff was a little difficult at first but he to comes around , thank goodness !

A fun afternoon read to enjoy while devouring a good cuppa and a brownie 😉

Molly Stewart is a cat groomer. She loves her job even when dealing with some stubborn cats and their pet parents. One man in particular, named Durbin, is one of the pet parents who are hard to handle. He loves his cat Jasper so much, he likes to hover over Molly while she is doing her job. While grooming Jasper, Durbin gets a text and leaves Jasper with Molly asking her to meet him at his house when she is finished.

Upon arrival, Molly notices that Durbin is not out front waiting for her so she goes out into his garden thinking he might be out there. She wasn’t wrong but she found him murdered with a garden tool. The police are targeting Molly’s uncle as the main suspect and it is up to Molly to clear his name. Everyone is a suspect. Durbin was not a well liked man. Barely anyone had anything nice to say about him. With no one to take Durbins cat, Molly takes him in. She will find justice for Jaspers human even if it puts her in danger.

Could it be the wife? The odd nephew? The business partner? Or maybe it is someone all together different. Molly will get to the bottom of it.

The local veterinarian, Hank, (who is also Molly’s crush) wants to help her with both settling Jasper into his new home and with the investigation. She thinks that he is not interested in her beyond platonic friendship so she tries her hardest to forget about any romantic feelings. Although it is hard when the man seems to want to be around her all the time.

I have read a few other books by this author that were also cat themed and I can’t get enough of them. I am a cat lover and I appreciate the love between the cats and their owners in all of this author’s series, Who wouldn’t want to read books with a feisty heroine and their kitty cats?

They should get representation, and start a detective agency! The kitten antics are adorable. The human characters are entertaining as well. Perfectly Framed is the second book in the Mobile Cat Groomer Mystery series by Ruth J. Hartman. As expected, this is an intriguing cozy mystery with a bit of a whodunnit feel. Ms. Hartman’s signature wit and humourous touches, along with the intriguing mystery, make this a very enjoyable read.
Even though this is the second book in the series, it could be read as a standalone, if you wanted- without feeling like you are ‘missing’ anything. Having said that though, I recommend reading the first book as it is a fun story in its own right….
Molly, the mobile cat groomer once again finds herself thrust into a murder investigation when she has photos taken of furry friends- and the pictures reveal more than expected. But someone certainly doesn’t want Molly, or anyone else, looking too closely- and so lets it be known that to do so will come with great risk. What happens makes for a bit of a suspenseful tale.
Another great instalment in this fun cozy mystery series.
Looking forward to the next book.
Happy Reading…

They can be read as standalones by I always recommend reading them in order because you get a better knowledge of the characters. In this book the murder starts right at the beginning and Molly and her feline friends are hot on the trail. The victim was not a well liked person so its going to be even harder for Molly and her gang to solve it. Molly is a hoot and I laughed out loud several times during this fun read. The trouble she and her feline friends get into are often times hilarious. If you love cozy mysteries that will make you laugh out loud and can read in one sitting, then you have found your series. This is a fun and entertaining murder mystery story that is definitely made even better by the feline help the main character receives. Molly was brilliant to read about. She was the perfect lead for this kind of story.
I enjoyed how the author introduced enough characters who could be the suspect to keep it interesting. This kind of story I usually find quite predictable when it comes to guessing who is responsible but there was enough mystery involved, with a few twists and turns. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I am going to read the next book straight away.

Molly owns a salon for cats. She also has a mobile service that she takes when she goes to her clients house and grooms their cats at home for them. This is good for the Seniors who, for whatever reason, are unable to go to the shop to get their cats groomed.

Mr. Durbin stopped by the shop and got a text while he was there so he left his cat their and asked Molly to bring it home for him when she was done. Which she did, or at least tried to do until she went around the back of the house and found him stabbed and deceased.

Molly and her cats with the help of some of her friends are solving mysteries. Since they can’t count on the Sheriff to do it. Check out the book I think you will enjoy it.
