A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly

Another fantastic read by Mannersly. A Natural Passion is a short read, but great. The characters are wonderful and you’ll fall in love with them.

Dylan doesn’t want to break his moral code and take Kyra into his arms. When poachers start to take the turtle eggs the Center ups the patrols. They catch who is behind it. The quote I chose for Dylan is: “Baby steps are better than nothing, Jake. You stick to your word and I’ll stick to mine.”

Kyra has her eyes set on Jake, but he isn’t who she thought he was. When things come to light about him she turns to Dylan. Telling him her feelings isn’t what she wants to do. The quote I chose for Kyra is: “I don’t know what he was talking about. But, I can tell you that I’m keen to find out.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

I really enjoyed reading this romance. Even though it’s a short story it is a complete one in the sense it all flows and makes sense.
I also loved the characters and the twist at the end I didn’t see coming.

Kyra is kinda caught between 2 men. Jake who’s a heart throb and ladies man, who claims to share her passion for nature and preserving wildlife and Dylan who is her mentor, who’s life is based around saving the turtles and preserving their life. Her attraction to both men is intense but she is unsure where her heart truelly lies.
Add to this story a mystery over who is poaching the turtles eggs and its an adventure which will leave you shocked when the person behind the thefts is revealed.

A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly – Review by Francis O’Sullivan

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Natural Passion is a standalone romance by Tammy Mannersly. It’s a sweet story that centres around turtle conservation, raising awareness of the risks this species faces (and providing an excuse for plenty of swimwear and beach scenes…)
Mannersly introduces the love triangle from the get-go, and in many ways it’s the classic “girl choosing between a bad boy and a nice guy” setup but there’s more to it. Dylan is reluctant to make a move, aware of how he could end up taking advantage of his position as Kyra’s mentor. Jake has also been playing the long game, waiting until he had enough money saved up to treat Kyra to ask her out. But there’s something about his behaviour that bothers her.
I found aspects of the story a bit predictable, but there’s something comforting in reading a story where you’ve got an idea how things will pan out. There’s still plenty of tension, both between the characters and with the fact that the turtles are in serious danger.
My favourite thing about it was the seaside setting. I felt like I was with Dylan in his kayak, exploring the coast. A mini-break in a book!
This book gets four stars from me. I would recommend it to animal lovers looking for a light, romantic read.

5 stars!

Quick read with a nice insight to egg poachers. That is truly devastating that there are people out there willing to destroy animals for financial gain. I appreciate the mention. Now bless Dylan’s heart, here is he making himself sound so much older than Kyra, but 10 years is nothing! I was rooting for them the whole book, Jake seemed like a douche bag from the start and throughout the story, that was confirmed. I wish Kyra would have just chosen Dylan from the beginning, it seems like he was a back up plan to me, but he loves her so much so I couldn’t be mad that he finally got the woman of his dreams.

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites yet by her. This is a short romance with a touch of mystery that packs a punch in a short amount of time. This is a well written story about a nest of turtles and a romance that could be lost to another. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the characters. They are relatable and brought the story to life. They made the story fun and entertaining to read. I enjoyed what they brought to the story and how easy it was to read their story. I also enjoyed the growth of the plot throughout the story. This is a great short story that I read in one sitting. I highly recommend this book.

A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly is a contemporary romance story. In true Tammy style her stories are sweet and heart-warming, but they are not just hearts and flowers. Where would be the fun in that. Nope Tammy likes to throw some sort of twist to add some dimension to the story. There is some tension and angst, a bit of drama and some danger. Tammy makes it easy to be transported into the story she has created and enjoy the journey and lives of these lovable characters. I love a good romance story and that is something Tammy does well.

A new intern, a cute crush and a man who tries to hide his true feelings. When the job they love is threatened. The team set out to make sure they can’t get any more. Unfortunately, things they thought they knew are now under question.

Grab a copy you will enjoy.

A Natural Passion is a sweet contemporary romance by Tammy Mannersly. I have really enjoyed Ms. Mannersly’s previous books, so when I saw this book had released it was a given that I would one-click a copy and dive in.
This book kind of had a love-triangle vibe going on- but with Ms. Mannersly’s own unique spin. Dylan O’Day is a marine Biologist who has developed feelings for the new intern, Kyra Stone. But he keeps his feelings to himself, and Kyra develops a crush on another co-worker. Then add in some poachers who bring tension, danger, and drama to the mix- and we get a very interesting story, with just a bit of a twist. Will Dylan tell Kyra how he feels before she gives her heart to another? You really should read all the intriguing details for yourself.
Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Mannersly does next…

Thank you, Tammy Mannersly!

A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly
Genre – Romance, Contemporary Romance, New Adult
Page Count – 90 pages
Dylan O’Day has been an exemplary marine biologist for years, constantly devoted to the protection and preservation of the natural world. Yet lately, he has a new passion, one that’s distracting his once focused thoughts. Though a decade older than her and her trusted mentor, Dylan hasn’t been able to stop thinking about the new intern. He’s never met a person quite like Kyra before, someone so genuine and caring, and who understands his love of environmental conservation. It’s just too bad his age and situation put him in an ethical dilemma. Should he risk it all for a chance at happiness or insist on keeping their relationship platonic?
Kyra Shine began interning only a few months ago at the Merchant Marine Science Centre and she’s already crushing hard on the boss’ son. Jake Merchant might be the bad boy of the team, but he seems perfect. They share a love of nature, especially the ocean and spend their days watching over the endangered turtles nesting along the coast. While her mentor—the sweet, but overprotective Dylan—disagrees with her growing infatuation, Kyra’s sure his scathing assessment of Jake is misinformed. Surely, the two men are more alike than they realize.
After discovering the turtle nests raided in the night, the Science Centre team goes on high alert, until a dangerous interaction with illegal poachers shatters reputations. Can the team save their beloved turtles before another nest is ransacked? Will Dylan overcome his concerns to tell Kyra how he truly feels before her heart is completely lost to another?
