This is Book 3 in the Prestian Series and I’m a little torn on this one. I truly thought this was the last book in the series but it turns out there is a 4th book. I’m ok with that. What I’m bummed about is that I am not as in love with the female protagonist as I was in the first 2. This book series moves at a really quick pace, so it’s natural that her feelings would change that fast also. HOWEVER, at times she is just down right mean. As I write this review, I realize that’s what makes a story good – having FEELINGS about a character instead of just being indifferent. For that reason, I will read the fourth to find out how it all wraps up.

This is a series that has intrigue and drama – It’s a roller coaster of drama and emotions. It has some cute and quirky moments and some dark and dangerous elements as well. At times it’s a perfect balance and at times it leans heavily to one side.

The story is developed and well plotted and this series MUST be read in order or it will make no sense. Please don’t do the author the disservice of reading out of order.

Degrees of Acceptance is the next instalment in Via Mari’s Prestian series where we continue to follow along Katarina’s journey of discovery – emotional, personal … sexual … Chase keeps being relentless and (over)protective and yes, we finally get to know Katarina’s father … You absolutely need to read the first book as this is not a standalone, Degrees of Acceptance picks up where Degrees of Innocence leaves off!
The writer fulfils our expectations (that I had after finishing the first book) and we get plenty of action, suspense, humour, mystery and oh so steamy romance! I love how the writer uses the ‘degrees’ and yes, this story is very much about how much do we accept in our lives, to what degree are we able to accept when it comes to our friends, family and lovers … I cannot wait to see what ‘degree’ we are going to encounter in the third book!

The story continues

This is the second book in this series and these should be read in order so the sequence of events will make sense.
This story had a little of everything. Steamy bedroom scenes, emotional family drama and of course a couple laughs. But I was not expecting some of the events to happen that do in this book and will now be going straight to next book to see what happens after the ending of this one! Great series so far cant wait to see how it turns out.

Degrees of Acceptance (A Prestian Series Book 2) by Via Mari is ​the second book in the series and is a suspense erotic romance story. This book should not be read as a standalone because you will not have all the information about the characters and their world behind you. I really liked the first book but am in two minds about this one. The writing style in this book didn’t quite grab me, it didn’t feel as easy to read. The story line was interesting, I enjoyed but I found myself wanting to smack Kate sometimes because she felt much more naive in this book and made things harder than need be and it frustrated me no end. That aside, it is a an emotional read with lots of action and danger, secrets and mystery that will keep you intrigued to know what is going to happen.

Degrees of Control (A Prestian Series Book 3) By Via Mari. This is the 3rd book in the series and I would advise to read 1 & 2 before hand. This one picks up where Book 2 left off with Katarina turning down Chase’s proposal. Chase is very controlling and Katarina is very head strong but they have sexual chemistry they can’t deny. Katarina agrees to go along with pretending to be engaged until a business deal is done but as much as she wants to stay stand offish towards Chase her body does just the opposite. He is willing to do whatever it takes to protect Katarina and she just wants to know exactly what is going on especially since she just found out who her father is and seeing her Mother so happy after all this time. Chase and her father are involved in something very sketchy but Katarina can’t figure out what it is. I can’t wait to read the next book to find out what happens.

Degrees of Acceptance by Via Mari is the second book in her A Prestian series. This series really does need to be read in order as this book picks up at the end of the last book.
This was a great continuation of Chase and Kate’s story. As it picked up where book one left off it was really easy to fall straight back into these characters and their story. It was fast paced and knew how to keep you, as the reader, hooked until the end.
The author does well to keep developing the characters so that you aren’t just reading the same thing. You can really see their journey and how it moves along.
I am looking forward to seeing what else the author does in book 3!

Via Mari’s Degrees of Acceptance in the second book the Prestian Series. This contemporary romance that holds with the first book of the series in relation to what it delivers. Chase and Katarina’s relationship continues in this story right where it left off in the previous novel and the author maintains the pace. This is a journey that is full of unknowns, but it includes paths that must be taken. The mystery and suspense are perfectly laid out with the remainder of the story, it’s all mixed together creating an alluring sequence from the first chapter(s). We do continue to see growth within the characters from where we initially met them. Be sure to note that this series does need to be read in order; noting how this book finishes, I’m already off to the next – it’s good!

I am in love with this series!! You really need to read the first two books in this series before reading this one because this one picks up where the other one leaves off and you will need to get the full picture of Kat’s and Chase’s relationship to truly understand what’s going on. This story is full of action, danger, and of course steamy moments. As their story continues we get to watch these characters grow and see where their relationship goes. Can Kat learn to trust Chase? You will need to read this amazing story to find this out and more. I won’t give anything away but I will tell you that there’s an unexpected twist that you won’t want to miss. The author does a wonderful job pulling you into the story and making you feel like you’re along for the ride, I couldn’t put this book down as soon as I started reading, it’s that good!!! I highly recommend this book.

Wow just Wow! The romance and suspense grows stronger. This is the third book in this series. I would recommend you read them I order.

Katarina Meilers is still head strong in her fight for trust. She loves Chase, but now it has come down to. Does she trust him as well as believe in him? She must decide as she is supposed to be engaged to him.

Chase Prestian loves Katarina, this is true. But he needs and wants to keep the ugly that is his job, from her. The inner fight is on, and choices need to be made. Does he push her away, or draw her in. She is safer out of his life. But he needs her in his life. Oh then there is the trouble coming their way.

Via Mari has done it again! Book 3 has even more in it. The rollercoaster ride you will take, will keep you turning those pages. The characters are amazing and fun loving, and the loving is steamy. I only wanted to throw my tablet a few times. Along with the tears. So have the wine, chocolate and tissues close by. Via Mari I look forward to the next book. As I know this story is not over yet. Not for those under 18 due to adult content. Hope you enjoy this story as much as I did! Well done Via Mari

“Degrees of Acceptance” is the second book in The Prestian series from Via Mari. I would highly recommend that you read the first book, “Degrees of Innocence,” before you read this one. This book picks up right where that one leaves off from. It also contains details that are pertinent to this novel. All that said, this book was just as good, if not better, that the first!

In this book we get more of Katarina’s back story and her family. She has some things she needs to work on with her family. Chase is the protective man as usual and will stop at nothing to make sure he stakes his claim on her. Katarina is forced to learn what she can and can’t live with or accept. What ‘degree’ she can handle…

There is still plenty of hot, steamy, and tantalizing sex to keep you intrigued between the intriguing story lines. I can’t wait to find out what will come next after that surprise of an ending! Thanks for another great read Via Mari!

I dislike wishie washy people. One minute they’re with you and the next their morals have kicked in. Katrina knew what kind of man Chase is but she is getting on her high horse when he takes care of business. Chase is really controlling . His need to know where, when, who and how would drive anyone crazy. I have enjoyed this authors writing style so far and will definitely be continuing this series. If I was to have one change it would be the past of the story. Everything happens fast and then boom on to the next. Overall it is a thrilling book full of action.

Degrees of Acceptance is the second book in the Prestian Series. With that in mind, I would highly recommend reading Degrees of Innocence the Book 1. I enjoy Via Mari’s writing style. She is very detail oriented. I can imagine I am right next to the characters in the book. The journey with Katarina and Chase is an interesting journey. I must admit that I am not into erotica and at times I had to skip over a couple of paragraphs, but I still enjoyed the story. I cannot wait to read the next installment of this series.

I didn’t want to put it down until the last page, even then I didn’t want it to end. This is a full length novel. It is not a standalone. You must read each book, in the order they were written. You will find suspense, romance And a whole lot of heart melting steam.

Katarina continue to build her relationship with Chase. While questions arise and the story is intense. Seeing her mother go through life single, Katarina is working on trusting others. It is mostly Katarina who is so young and innocent, and learning to trust is a real issue. What she sees and hears gives her reason for concern.

Therefore Chase is going to have to open up and let her know what is going on. But.. in his protecting everybody and going on the need to know. He is giving doubt to Katarina. Chase is in deep and he may be in too deep.

Via Mari continues to keep you involved in her series. Having read the first two books. I could not wait to get started on this one. I was sucked in quickly and had to just keep reading. I took a ride on this emotional Rollercoaster. I love her characters. The more I read the more information I needed, and got. Now I’m looking forward to dive into the next book. Not intended for those under 18 due to adult content.

This continuation of the Prestian Series is a fantastic read. This book is not a standalone. You will need to read books 1 and 2 to fill in the gaps of where this story picks up. Katarina has shattered Chase. She has rejected his marriage proposal and now he is at a loss. He still wants her, but Katarina is having a hard time coming to terms with being wanted by a man like Chase. They are thrown together in a crisis and they must learn to navigate this new dynamic between the two of them while Katarina still tries to deny to both herself and Chase that she isn’t what he wants, however, she soon begins to realize that she was wrong all along. This book is hot. Passion and sexual desire are straight off the charts and the plot within the store gives you something to work through while Katarina and Chase circle each other like hawks.

Katarina and Chase have unbelievable chemistry and regardless of Katarina’s fears they go on a wild journey of sex and emotions. Katarina finds out who her father is and regardless of the trouble or chaos of meeting him might cause she wants to know him. As the relationship with her father progresses Chase will do anything to protect Katarina and keep Global problems from ruining everything they’ve built. Wow this book was amazing!! I was hoping this one would be as good as the first one and I’m glad that I wasn’t disappointed. I do recommend that you read the first book in this series before this one because this one picks up where that one leaves off. I love that Kate and Chase’s story is continuing, I don’t ever want it to end! This story is full of action, mystery and romantic moments. This book has all the things I want in a good book. I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to read book three!!.

Degrees of Acceptance by Via Mari a four-star read that will turn your head. This is the second book in A Prestian Series and I would recommend you read the series in order as they give the whole story and you won’t want to miss a detail and it does continue the story. This is such a story of discovery and identity, it does touch on trigger subjects so don’t read if you don’t like that sort of thing. Kate was a great character overall, but I don’t know at times I did find her a little off at parts, and then she came into her own again, so I ended up loving her again. If you want passion, mystery, suspense, drama and humour as well then this is a series for you.

This story had so much packed into it. I found the story line to be very interesting. Chase is my normal type of guy. Controlling and hot. He cares for his woman a little too much but not everyone is perfect. Katrina was stubborn and independent. I liked the way she stood up for herself. Even though she gave into most of Chases demands. She didn’t let him steamroll her either. She fought for the thinks she wanted. The author presented us with a good power couple. This story was so thrilling and action filled. When your life is in danger 24/7 you rake pleasure in everything. I wanted to see more of Katrina in action putting herself out there to help her man. There were some major hot moments and the author nailed those. Lol! This is the type of book I read to make my dream guy. I won’t lie there were some parts that could’ve been better but overall I really liked this book. I will be reading book 3.

Oh my goodness I just love this series, I couldn’t wait to dig into this after finishing book 1 and now Im feeling the same about book 3.

This continues Katarina and Chases story and I am just so in love with these two people, the way they communicate and how their story just keeps building, it is awesome. I love the email interaction between them and their texting while in the same room…

Alot going on in this story and Katarina is trying with all she has to come to grips with everything in Chases life and then along comes her father and I was shocked by all that is him.

Chase is all alpha and everything that comes with that, Katarina is strong and sassy and I love the way this author has built this whole series so far. Her writing is flawless and just flows so that before you know it you are at the end and not ready for it to be over but then you remember..You have book 3 waiting for you, I can’t wait!.

This is my 2nd book by this author and she has a new forever fan…Don’t try to pick this book up without ready the first one, you really need the whole story and believe me when I say you will not be sorry.

The title of this book is completely spot on…

The story Degrees of Acceptance (A Prestian Series Book 2) by Via Mari is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the last page. It is the second story in a series and I would highly suggest that book one be read before this one in order to understand some of the events and information that is given in this one. It is wonderful to continue to read about the story of Katarina Meilers and Chase Prestian. These two have a chemistry that can’t be denied. Their attraction and desire for each other only grow. There is a passion between them that is red hot and steamy scenes are a part of this story. Be prepared for the temperature in the room to rise. Katarina also finds out more about her father in this story. She is curious and decides to meet with him. She also has the worry and fear that comes along with the extra security that Chase has assigned to her because of threats that arise. Chase is the ultimate alpha male. He can be controlling and bossy. He also would do anything that is needed in order to keep Katarina safe, something that she is learning more about. This story has suspense and at times had me wondering what was going to happen next and how it all would work out. There are page-turning moments. This is a wonderfully written story that I would highly recommend reading.

Degrees of Innocence is the first book in A Prestian Series book by Via Mari. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Mari, but definitely won’t be the last. This book had me hook from the very first page, and I couldn’t put it down until I read the last page. This contemporary romance was full of steamy love scenes and a bit of a mystery.
Katarina is a strong female lead, that is a bit of a workaholic. Chase is a sexy millionaire and when they meet on a tropical island the chemistry is instantaneous. However the problems begin when they find out Katarina works for Chase. This is a fun read with the witty dialogue. I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series.

I love finding new authors. I love when that author as a series just ready for my fingers to dig into. This book starts with a bang and is super hot. It is very fast paced and you can easily get lost within the pages and context of this book. Having said that I wa flipping between 4 and 5 stars for this book and i found that I had to keep going back to reread several passages and paragraphs within the book, when i felt as though I have gotten lost and/or did not fully understand the content of what or why something was happening. For that I kept this book at 4 stars, but if you are a person who can easily keep up with the fast paced world, then this very well may easily be a 5 star read for you.

And when I say hot, I mean Hot, with a capital H. The complex plot the author has developed is an easy side-by story with the romance that sizzles and smokes within the pages of this book. Add into the mystery and danger that finds its way to our MC’s and our Main Lady Love, and you have one tantalizing story. Katarina and Chase are by far some of my most favorite characters I have ever read and the supporting characters add just enough to keep you waiting for the next book in the series.

Degrees of Innocence was a great 5 star read and book #1 in the Prestian Series.

Katarina is getting ready to start a big project. While spending some time at the resort waiting for the meetings to start she ends up meeting a very handsome man, Chase. She spends several days with Chase and they are both equally attracted to each other. Problem is, Chase has a little secret. What will Katarina do when she finds out who Chase really is?

During the first day of planning Katarina is shocked to see Chase come walking into the room. When she discovers who he really is, things come crashing down on her. How will it ever work between them now?

Chase is determined to be with her and will make it work no matter what. As these two move forward they have some very hot and steamy scenes. These two have such great chemistry. I really liked both Chase and Katarina. I was pulled right in by their story and didn’t want to stop until I was done. This is my first read from Via Mari and I loved it, I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series and the author.

Degrees of Innocence (Prestian Series #1) was a okay read, with hot smut, mystery, danger, that hooked me enough to want to read more.

My first read by this author and this series; I was in shacky territory because though I like romance books, with smut, I’m not into the erotica genres. This was way out of my comfort zone, and though I liked it enough to follow the series, I’m still not all that into that hard core erotica. You might find this funny, but I find it boring.. yeah I know, I’m weird. But I this book did a great job at spacing the scenes and with the compelling complex plot, the twist and turns and the unraveling mystery, it keeps you hooked and for me, kept me engaged in the story as a whole.

As for our MC’s, well, they did have some good character development, and I did like they why they were written, but at times I felt like I was reading characters I’ve met before. Same with the dynamics between the two, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying they were bad, just that, they were too familiar. Maybe instead of having a billionaire male MC who is the boss, and the female MC that is you know, sort of well off, but not in that rich world, and gets introduced and all. How about a more realticable character, like someone in the middle class-ish. I just feel that the power dynamics are always the same, and a little overdone.

But the true star of this story is the mystery/danger that seems to be following our female MC. The little interconnecting details, the twist, the reveal. That was the highlight for me, and is what kept me reading. Because though we get a shocker of a opening, and a event that causes our MC’s to meets, the pace gets a little slow, but looking back now, as I start to fully connect, makes sense.

Overall this book was a pretty okay read. It’s good to read outside your comfort zone sometimes, and if you’re like me and what to venture out, then I suggest giving this book a try. It has my stamp of approval and my recommendation.
