This is the best book that I have read from this author and I was not disappointed. I fell in love with the book from the very first page and did not set the book down until I had read the last page or the last chapter. This book is for everyone, and not just the younger generation.
Noah Reagan has always dreamed of making it big for science.
A place in The Summer with Supers Youth Program would provide him with just that. Popularity, respect, and maybe even a bully-free semester.
But when Lincoln City’s mutant infestation leaves Noah’s dreams crushed beneath a pile of rubble, he’s forced to spend the summer working for his dad’s failing Mega-Maintenance company, cleaning up after the very creatures that have stolen his freedom.
With the real heroes battling back the incoming hordes, Noah begins his investigation into the madness fueling the monsters, hoping to end the mega-meltdowns before his last chances of a super summer are swept into the dustbin.
Though, with the mastermind holding the keys to Noah’s dreams, interfering may doom him to an off-brand existence, and a future of atomic wedgies, forever.
I’m excited to read more of this authors books in the near future.

Noah a typical normal kid is looking forward to spending his summer in The Super Youths Program which would give him popularity, respect, and maybe days without being bullied., but after an incident involving mutant rats, he is doomed to work all summer with his dad in maintenance or clean-up of these types of accidents. What a total bummer! He is rescued from a bully by the girl he so desperately loves and in turn finds out that she is a Super but nobody knows but him. Noah begins his investigation into this world of mutants and with the help of his new super friends, they learn the secret of the mutants and take it on themselves to stop the destruction of Lincoln City. Such a great book full of fun, mystery, and a few mutants that have invaded the city causing havoc for Noah and the super summer he had planned. Great characters and well developed plot with twists and turns made this book a pleasurable reading experience and I highly recommend it to all tweens and teens looking for a read that shows we are not as simple or normal as we think we are!

Such a great read for adventure readers young and old. Noah is a super smart teen who puts all his hopes on a summer camp with the supers. He hopes it’ll increase his popularity, decrease his bullies, and gain him respect. All is reduced to rubble with the appearance of the mutants. Now, instead of camp he’s cleaning. But that’s not enough to stop Noah. Neither is his babysitting gig. Noah is determined to figure out the whole drama with some help along the way. Seriously this is a good read for teens and adults.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is such a great read! Who didn’t dream of having super powers as they grew up? I know I sure did, and this book is chalked full of many different types of mutants and supernaturals (Supers).

You get adventure from literally the first pages of this book as Noah tries to evade certain people, and the thrills just keep growing from there. Noah Reagan wants to make a scientific breakthrough, gain respect, and maybe even make a name for himself in the science world. He sees being accepted into The Summer with Supers Youth Program as the best route to start making his dreams a reality, but with the mutant population on the rise, he’s enlisted to help in his father’s Mega-Maintenance cleanup company. Will he stay the target of bullies forever as he watches his wonderfully planned summer go down the drain or can he find a way to get out of cleaning up and babysitting this summer? Are things going to get out of hand as Noah tries to find his own path?

This is a fun fast chapter book that will appeal to old and young alike. Brittany Tucker’s writing style is easy to follow and really gets you involved in the story and what the characters are going through. Though it’s a fantasy book, there are a lot of relatable scenarios in it as well, such as: bullying, feeling misunderstood, feeling that they aren’t listened to by a parent, and many more. There can be so many conversations and lessons that can be brought up from this one book. I personally can’t wait for more!

Noah was not looking forward to working the summer with his dad. Being the city’s clean-up specialist was not as glorious a title as one might think. And that’s why Noah wound up hiding in the ladies restroom at the corner gas station from the local high school bullies. How would he get out of this without being seen by everyone? This is a fast-paced tween read. I think teens will find the story exciting and the characters relatable!

This is an adorable YA adventure story. Full of Supers, Mutants and the mystery of them all unfolding in a destructive and exciting way. You don’t know who is on the side of the right but just might find your team when you need it the most. Noah is a lovable smart character who isn’t a super yet has a superpower that is all his own. Being a normie has its perks too.

Noah Reagan has ambitions and one of them is to attend the Summer With Supers Youth Camp, he wants to work in the scientific field and make a difference, not like his dad who just cleans up after them, but alas that was not to be because of some mutants attacking the town of Lincoln where he lives. All he wanted was to be bully free and able to enjoy himself while learning, but when the programme is cancelled, he has to actually work over his summer holidays instead, but at least it’s only during the week, he will at least have the weekends free to have fun with his best friend.

So as soon as his dad finds out what happened at the latest mutant attack and that he was there, he is furious and so his internship with Mega-Maintenance company begins, it isn’t glamorous and it isn’t easy, but Noah learns just how much work his dad has to do after the smoke clears and the rubble settles. While he is working, he thinks about the mutants and what he has seen when they attack and he thinks that he might have a theory as to what is behind it, but he needs some super help with his investigation.

Meanwhile, there are more mutant attacks all over Lincoln, but will Noah be able to figure out who the mastermind behind the mutants and the mega-issues they are causing, or will he be able to stop them before the Supers get more than they can handle? This is a fun read with plenty of mutants, superpowers and mayhem galore as Noah tries to save his not so super summer!

Noah’s not so super summer is a great kids sci-fi book. It has a unique story.

Noah Reagan has always envisioned himself as a major figure in science.
He would get that and more if he were accepted into The Summer with Supers Youth Program. Gaining acceptance, respect, and perhaps even a bullying-free semester.Noah is forced to spend the summer working for his dad’s failing Mega-Maintenance company, cleaning up after the very creatures that have taken his freedom, when Lincoln City’s mutant infestation crushes his hopes beneath a pile of debris. While the real heroes fight off the approaching hordes, Noah launches his investigation into the madness that is causing the monsters in an effort to put an end to the mega-meltdowns before his final chances at a super summer are destroyed. Noah’s dreams are controlled by the mastermind, therefore intervening would consign him to an off-brand

Every page was exciting and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. The story really brings passion into your life. I couldn’t put the book down.

Noah's Not So Super SummerNoah’s Not So Super Summer by Brittany Tucker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Noah’s Not So Super Summer is Book One in the Super Summer Series. It starts out with a bang as twelve-year-old Noah is desperately trying to escape from a group of bullies that are pursuing him. In an effort to evade capture Noah dodges into the bathroom of a local gas station and hides in one of the bathroom stalls. This is when Noah’s life goes from bad to worse as suddenly, he is being attacked by a mutant rat the size of a moose.

This becomes the turning point in Noah’s summer as his dream of being in The Summer With Supers Youth Program is crushed. A program he wanted to join in an effort to become popular, gain respect, and with any luck get away from the bullies that torment him. Instead, his dad forces him into helping him with his failing Mega Maintenance Company. Now he has to spend his summer cleaning up the destruction left behind after the mutants as they terrorize Lincoln City. Noah decides that he needs to investigate who or what the mastermind is behind the mutants and try to stop whoever is responsible.

This was a fun and enjoyable read for all ages. The characters were wonderful and the growing pains they experienced were relatable. Noah, especially, was a character that any kid who has ever been bullied can relate to. All he wanted was to be bully-free and popular. He felt the way of doing this was by taking part in the youth program with Supers. When his dreams were crushed, and his plans changed for the summer, Noah found a way to make the most of it. He decided to try to stand up and make a change by trying to rid the city of mutants by investigating who the mastermind was creating them. Noah was both smart and courageous which is admirable and inspiring. This book was full of action, suspense, drama, danger, adventure, bullies, mutants, and of course, super heroes. A twist on the classic tale of good versus evil, bullies versus the good guys.

This was a really cute read- and how relatable is it when a summer(season, holiday, whatever) you want to go a certain way, doesn’t turn out? I loved all the characters (Noah was my daughters favorite), the creatures, and the world building. I shared this with my daughter and we both had a great time. There were a lot of laughs, gasps, and all the emotions being experienced. Now I’m excited to share more from this author with my kiddo. (;

This book was like X-Men revisited. Evil mastermind, mutants, bullies, paranormal, sci-fi elements, everything a teen adventure ought to have. Teenager Noah had plans for summer, he had his hopes on a summer program which will shape his future. But all the plans crash when the city is over run with mutants, who are on the path of destruction. To stop these monsters, Noah has to get to the bottom of the mystery and find out the larger hand at play which is causing the destruction.

This was an enjoyable read that can be a good time for readers of all ages. We read it as a bedtime story for the tiny humans in one night. Both enjoyed it and kept asking for just one more chapter before bed until we finished the story.

The story starts with a bang that sucks you in from page one. Noah is a twelve year old child whose life is anything but super. Bullies at school, a dad with a low paying job, and a pandemic. A pandemic in which both people and animals are getting super powers. One his dad is sent out to work in. His summer turns into a wayward adventure with some new friends. Will Noah and friends solve the puzzle and uncover the truth to this pandemic before summer ends?

Looking for a book that can bring all ages together in enjoyment. Then this is absolutely the book for you! We cannot wait to continue on with this series.

I loved this book. Noah is an awesome MC and so relatable. The author’s take on Supers is fascinating and her writing style is engaging. Noah’s Not So Super Summer is the first book in A Super Series by Britany Tucker. It’s such a fun book that had me entirely engrossed right from the get-go. Ms. Tucker has again proven a knack for weaving intriguing stories that pull you in and hold your attention right through till the end. Her storylines are clever and fun, while her characters are dynamic and well-developed, making for a great read.
Noah had plans for his summer, pinning all his hopes on a summer program that he hopes will shape his future. But all his plans come to a crumbling halt when the city is over-run with mutants who are leaving a path of destruction in their wake. Noah will need to get to the bottom of things and find a way to stop the monsters if he has any hope of salvaging what’s left of his dreams- and perhaps help save the day along the way.
This is an entertaining teen action adventure with sci-fi elements, ‘supers’, the paranormal, bullies, heroes, mutant monsters, agendas, an evil mastermind, mystery, intrigue, drama, humour, high stakes, a ticking clock, hopes, dreams, family dynamics, challenges, emotion, and unexpected developments.
Looking forward to more from Ms. Tucker.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Brittany Tucker!

The author does a great job of drawing the reader into the story and creates a wonderfully descriptive world of superheroes and monsters and atomic wedgies. Our hero Noah is such a great character that anyone could relate to. He is smart, hilarious, and just trying to survive his summer full of a monster infestation. The author did a great job of creating all sorts of twists to keep you guessing to the ending of the story. Noah has said it in the title. As you can tell, he had a not so super summer. He was hoping to go to a camp and make friends. He instead has to help his Dad with his job as a maintenance crew that cleans up the mess of the pandemic creatures. He goes into the investigation mode to see what caused it in the first place. This is definitely for a pre-teen/teenager age group!

This was a fun book that had me reading late and turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. The characters are very relatable to other teens and how they treat each other. The main character Noah is a dorky teenage boy who has a nerdy friend named Suki. They are picked on by the football jock named Kyle. Noah has had a crush on Ruth since the first grade but he can’t even talk to her. Their stories all become intertwined in the story as they try and save the day. They all live in Lincoln City and there are mutant animals who keep coming out of the sewers and destroying parts of the city. The Supers are people who have powers and always show up to kill the mutants. It was a quick and enjoyable read and I can’t wait to see what Noah gets up to in the next book.

Although this book is clearly aimed at the pre-teens it is the kind of book that really appeals to all ages. Even as an adult, I had no issues connecting with the story and the characters. I thought the book had been well written and was designed to grab your attention immediately.
I think Noah is the sort of character that touches on feelings most people have had at some point. He is relatable and endearing. He is what drew me into the story the most and is the reason I wanted to keep reading. This was a brilliant book that I thoroughly enjoyed and I would definitely recommend it.

This book starts off with a bang that will grab the reader’s attention pretty quickly. Especially if said reader is a teenager. Even more so if said teenager is a male!

Noah is tired of all the bullying he’s been subjected to. He’s also tired of his dad nagging him and having to babysit. Then there’s the mutant infestation and the Supers. Can life get anymore complicated while yet interesting?

Noah’s summer is full of adventure and friendships of a very unique kind. Hopefully his whole summer won’t stink!

I loved this book and read it in a matter of a couple of hours. This will appeal to younger readers as well as those of us still young at heart! There is humor and adventure throughout!

Very entertaining read. I really enjoyed the different lessons that can be learned here for kids in that pre teen stage. On one hand it was irritating watching Noah stick his nose in adult business and try to get involved, especially not being a super, but then on the other hand, he is brave and loyal to want to do all he can to protect those he considers his friends. The story was so creative with the mutant animals and the different powers the supers have, I liked Kyle’s the most, I would love to talk to animals! Noah is such a strong and compassionate kid to want to help save his town and his friends when most kids would probably be terrified. Wonderful read, I look forward to sharing it with my nephews.
