I love books like this! A holiday love story where one is a baker and the other stumbles Into their shop and it’s almost love at first sight. Thea is a baker in Washington and Ben is a sports writer who almost instantly falls for each other. This book was spicier than I thought it would be and oh mama was it a good burn if you know what I mean. Wasn’t overdone and thought it was very tasteful. If you want a quick read to get you into the holiday mood I really recommend it.

This delightful, feel-good book was just what I needed to put me into the holiday spirit. The quick banter of the characters, from the very beginning made me smile. The author invoked the spirit of a good Hallmark movie onto the pages of this deliciously magical story. But don’t be confused this story line has some truly, steamy moments. The book made me smile and I kept reading to find out if things were too good to be true.

This is the first book by Nicole Richard that I have read so I was unsure what to expect. A Sweet Christmas is a quick, easy read with an understandable story and characters. This book was like a Hallmark Christmas movie! It was spicy and sweet but a little too predictable for my taste, but if you enjoy Christmas romance books, A Sweet Christmas is definitely a good one! Nicole Richard does a great job of developing the characters and the story quickly. I did enjoy the overall style of writing and will look into some of Nicole Richard’s other books.

A Sweet Christmas: A Sweet Confections Novella by Nicole Richards. This is the best story to get you in the Christmas spirit. I could easily see this becoming a Hallmark movie. Its the story of Thea Sheldon who owns her own bakery. Thea has not had the best of luck with men so has decided to concentrate on her bakery that is until Benjamin Sweet walks into her bakery looking for something sweet. Ben is a handsome take charge kind of guy so when he see Thea he knows she’s something special. When he boldly asks her out Thea is taken back but she knows that she feels something for this guy. Will she accept his offer and take a risk on love again? Read A Sweet Christmas to find out!

I don’t usually read holiday books or novellas because I get too invested for something so short but I’m so glad I picked this one up. It’s so sweet and light-hearted. This book is a novella so it was a quick read but totally worth it!

Thea doesn’t seem to have the best luck when it comes to guys. Dealing with a recent break up, she doesn’t expect to experience a connection with anyone let alone Benjamin, as he walks into her bakery. Who knew looking for cupcakes could turn into something so sweet!

I really enjoyed these characters. Thea was so sweet! Such a good read!

I think I may have said this before but I am a sucker for christmas stories, they’re warm and sweet and make you squeal with their unending cuteness. This book did not disappoint, had all the sweetness of a candy cane and the wonderful warmth of sitting around an open fire on Christmas eve, all those fairy lights ‘a sparkling. So yeah I kinda loved it, and literally everything about it.

Thea owns a bakery and had given up on ever finding romance, that is until she stumbles over something sweet by the red velvet cupcakes. Benjamin is every woman’s dream, but upon meeting Thea, he doesn’t want any woman, he wants the baker. Give it a go its a sweet, Christmassy read that will leave you with a smile on your face 🙂

A delightful, easy read! I read this sweet novella easily in one sitting. The author creates a beautiful whirlwind romance with lovely characters. The attraction between Ben and Thea is palpable from their first meeting and the beginning of their journey is something you’d expect in a movie! As with many novellas, I wished for a little more deep character development, but you still get a really good feel for the characters and their lives. This is a sweet, no pun intended, romance with the slightest hint of drama, but mostly a sweet, easy read. It was well-written and easy to follow and I’d be interested in other stories by this author!

As soon as the end of October/ beginning of November comes around I am in Christmas mode. My favorite part about the holiday approaching is reading a good, wholesome holiday romance. Think made for TV movie, in book form. I loved this novella from start to finish. It truly had everything I’ve come
to love in a holiday romance, cute, relatable characters, a believable storyline and a strong writing style. It isn’t often I find myself liking both main characters, I often find female main characters as needy or over the top, this wasn’t the case in this storyline. This is a new author to me so as always I didn’t quite know what to expect. She exceeded my expectations and I look forward to looking into her writing more in the future.

This book is one of those you can’t put down because it’s a great romance and just makes you feel like anything is possible at Christmas time. Thea Sheldon meets Benjamin Sweet when he knocks on her bakery door as she is closing up shop for Thanksgiving weekend. There’s instant chemistry between them but Thea is apprehensive. Although Ben is very forward in asking Thea out, Thea finds that she is attracted to him.
The author did a wonderful job of describing the bakery and other locations, the characters are wonderful and at times I’d even say amazing. It’s a feel good Christmas romance. This novella is the perfect book to bring happiness to your holiday season.

One word: Steamy! From the moment Ben walked into Thea’s bakery, there was an undeniable connection between the two. Neither of them were looking for love, but a few fun nights quickly sparked those feelings they had to explore. This is a very quick and smooth read. The storyline flows and as you turn the pages, before you know it, you’re at the end and wanting more. Who doesn’t love a lighthearted and fun Christmas romance?! If you blush easily, get ready for some major blushing because the spark between Ben and Thea lights a major fire of passion and the author does not hold back!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A lightheaded and sweet festive romantic novella which was a quick, enjoyable and engaging read. Thea Sheldon is the owner of ‘Sweet Confections’, sadly she has not had the best of luck with men over the years. Mainly because she’s looking for someone who is like they are portrayed in the movies. Then handsome, smooth talking Benjamin Sweet enters her bakery looking for a Thanksgiving present, and he might just be who Thea has been waiting for. Although Thea and Ben were not looking for love, love seems to have found them but can they turn a casual encounter and instant attraction into something more meaning and long term. This fairly short read had me happily turning the pages and I was fully immersed in the storyline and engaged with the likeable characters. I loved Thea and Ben and their chemistry came across in the writing, and I was cheering them on and hoping they would get their HEA. A real festive read which has made me feel ready for Christmas.

While this is the first book that I have read by this author it most certainly won’t be my last. Filled with romance, holiday magic, cupcakes, and more this wonderful short Christmas romance was a perfect mid-week read. But most importantly the characters are just perfect, Thea is sweet, charming, sassy, beautiful and hard-working. Ben is handsome, sweet, attentive, and caring. But when Thea has sworn off relationships and men in gernal what will happen when she feels the instant spark between her and Ben? Will Ben be able to convince Thea to go on a date with him? You’ll have to read this magical Christmas read to find out for yourself.

So for me this novella started off very slow. Usually novellas jump right into the action but this one took about halfway through until anything really happened. Once it did though I began to enjoy the story. The characters are people you can care about while you are reading and then put down and never give a second thought to. So if you are looking for a quick, comfortable read that gives you that HEA then this novella is for you.

If every year you watch a lot of Christmas Hallmark movies, then this is the book for you! I am one of those people who love a good romantic Christmas theme and was not disappointed when reading this novella!

This book is about a woman named Thea who owns a bakery. One day a man by the name of Ben walks in and sparks fly. You’ve heard of love at first sight? Well this was lust at first sight. Thea who just got out of a relationship was not ready for anything new. Ben is persistent so Thea decides to give it a try. Boy, is she thankful she did give him a chance. As time goes on, the more steamy it gets.

This novella was sexy, romantic, cute and holiday themed. It was a very quick read so if you are looking for all of the above, look no further!

A Sweet Christmas: A Sweet Confections Novella is a cute romance perfect for this time of year. I had not read a book by this author previously but glad that I stumbled across her. I enjoyed the meet-cute of Thea and Ben. The story was a quick, delightful holiday story. I am not one for sappy Hallmark stories, but this cut through the overly saccharine relationship. The two main characters were interesting and contrasted each other nicely. Since this is a novella there was not enough time to delve deeper into the secondary characters. I’m hoping some of them make an appearance in future stories. I’m glad I found this author and look forward to reading more from her in the future.

If you like Hallmark type holiday stories, this read is for you. It was a bit to sweet for me as I normally prefer my reads on the darker side, (though sometimes I revisit trying sweet stories just to see if my tastes have changed), but it was a well-written story.
I didn’t really care for the way things played out with Ben when he first meets Thea. He seemed a little creepy, but maybe that’s because he was really forward. It felt very contrasted to the way he is throughout the rest of the story, which I found a little too perfect.
But, if you are looking for low angst, contemporary romance, take-her-to-meet-the-family, and HEA, this is the story you want.

I really enjoyed this book through out my reading. It was one that so easy to get lost into! I enjoyed the concept of the story, as well as the main two characters pairing up as a treat for this holiday season! I literally connected so well to them, and their story was lighthearted and engaging! Loved this book!

First off, I am a Christmas fanatic, and I do my home baking and am a owner for baking out of my home. So of course the story line with the holidays and the bakery appealed greatly to me. What I got from reading this, was sheer happiness and enjoyment! Benjamin and Thea were a perfect dessert together, the kind you pair together at those fancy holiday parties! Their chemistry was making my poor kindle sweat, and was able to laugh and feel things I did not expect! I was in love with this book all the way. The writing was well done, and there were no hiccups in the writing where it was a lost in the mind for the reader, everything made sense and flowed just so nicely, it was perfect for me, plus spice is always nice!

For me Benjamin and Thea were an iconic duo! They meshed perfectly, and it was not a story where its literally jump to the spice, they worked up to it, I mean I enjoyed the spicy scenes as much as my kindle. I loved their story, how they met and how they got together. It sometimes can only take that one look at a person, for that person to be the one person you never want to forget the face of! The story was sweet and full of treats though out my reading, progressed well, and was a easy and fun read, was a delight!

Again, this story had quickly become a personal favorite of mine. I could not get over the story when I completed it I was sad to close the book and consider it done. That said, I will be sure re reading this story over again! I loved it, and I do highly recommend this beautiful book, it is a must read!

Pumpkin spiced cakes, red-velvet cupcakes, Ben has found a woman that can bake straight to his heart. Thea owns a delightful bakery but doesn’t make cupcakes. Ben happened to turn into an exception. This book is a delightful holiday romance to satisfy the 18+ group. A little Christmas, a dash of romance, a pinch of spice, and two characters that have perfect chemistry together. Mix together and let sit to rise and you have a thoroughly funny book. I giggled, empathized, and teared up. The characters are so easy to relate to. The plot flows smooth like a slow and easy ride down the river. (The story is not slow however. Your attention is grabbed from the beginning and you don’t want to put it down.) You should read this one. It would be a quick weekend read for those chilly snow days. A warm blanket, hot chocolate and this book. I highly recommend it. I’m hoping to read some more from this author.

I enjoyed this story. Just what I needed to welcome the holiday season. This story is not a wholesome hallmark story. There are some physical interactions. I read the book in one sitting. Storyline kept me invested. I feel like I neglected things I probably needed to get done today. The characters are adorable. I love Julia’s and Thea’s relationship. I was suspicious of Ben the entire story and was kinda disappointed that I was wrong. The shoe didn’t drop he is a decent guy. Romance movies and real life has apparently jaded me lol. It’s definitely a good read.

A Sweet Christmas is a Sweet Confections Novella. It’s a short, fun, festive story! Great for romance lovers looking for something to read around the holidays, when you can get an hour or so to yourself.

For me, the big draw of this story is the baked goods. Thea runs a bakery and there’s plenty of description of the delicious cakes she makes! I love reading about food (although I love eating it more… this book could come with a free cupcake?)

Ben is a great character! I like how much he looks after Thea, and his sister Becca. Becca is also a great character – so friendly and enthusiastic!

There’s a little bit of tension and drama, enough to keep it interesting but not so much that it isn’t a comforting, light read.

This book gets four stars from me! I’d recommend it to romance fans looking for something light but sexy to read over the holidays.

Bakery owner Thea Sheldon has had some problems with relationships and is hesitant to jump anywhere near the world of dating when she meets Benjamin Sweet. Beyond his good looks and obvious charm, there’s something about him that dares her to hope. Despite this novella being short, I never once felt overwhelmed by the course of the story as I have with similarly sized books. Everything was well-written, steamy, and filled with enough sweets to give me cavities, I ate up the chapters in no time! By the end, I was left wondering where this book has been all my life. If you’re looking for a steamy Christmas romance, you’ve found the right book!

This was such a sweet and fun little holiday romance read. I loved how it was a simple read. I mean that in a kind way too. Sometimes you just want to pick up a book and fall in love with it without all the drama and fuss, especially around the holidays. We often have enough of our own drama and fuss around them and need the magic and fun reminders when we look for escapes with things like books and art. This gem is just that. The love story of Thea and Ben is set in the perfect of seasons with lots of laughter and love to go around, plenty of sweet treats to be had, and cheer to be enjoyed. I devoured this read in a few short hours and drifted off to sleep to dream about my own holiday romances. The perfect Sunday if you ask me. Don’t wait, grab your copy today for your chance to have yours.
