Falling Again (Buckeye Falls Book 3) by Libby Kay – Review by Micalah Weatherholtz

Falling Again (Buckeye Falls #3)Falling Again by Libby Kay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Here I am, back for another visit to Buckeye Falls, Ohio in book number three. Falling Again is a fun, stand-alone, although I do recommend reading the series in order as some of the characters/previous stories overlap, novel concerning the Mayor of Buckeye Falls, and his wife, Natalie, who seem to have it all on the outside but are really struggling on staying connected with each other with all of the stressors of life, work, parenting, etc, they are drifting apart as much as they try to fight it. Will Anthony and Natalie be able to find their way back together again? Libby Kay’s novels are fun, descriptive books that make you laugh, fuss, get a little teary eyed, and have everything people look for in a rom-com. I’ve really enjoyed this series so far and the happy endings are always great!

Falling for You (Buckeye Falls Book 2) by Libby Kay – Review by Micalah Weatherholtz

Falling for You (Buckeye Falls, #2)Falling for You by Libby Kay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Much like the perfect recipe, love cannot be rushed.”

Falling For You is another book in the Buckeye Falls book series, book number two in fact. It was right up there with the enchanting, comforting, quick reading, stand alone novels, that are all about Buckeye Falls, and it’s population except this one is concerning all things food. CeCe Larue is career minded, and focused, while Evan Lawson is more a fun loving, patient, happy-go-lucky, optimist, he’s also a little younger than CeCe. Unfortunately with the arrival of the food truck competition it brings the arrival of CeCe’s Ex Eric. Will Cece and Evan be able to conquer these hurdles? Libby’s writing is incredibly descriptive so much so you begin to feel like Buckeye Falls is a real place and her characters seem so real. I think many people will enjoy this sweet, clean, rom-com I know one of the authors to pick up.

This Time Around by Jane Suen – Review by She Reads All

This Time AroundThis Time Around by Jane Suen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ladies and Gentlemen I am proud to announce that this book has the perfect Book Boyfriend. If you think I am exaggerating then pick the book up yourself so you can prove me right. Lets talk…

Katie going back to her hometown, where she grew up but left for college and bigger things and now hardly comes back. Well she finds herself in town for a friends wedding, and because you cant say NO to the bride, she finds herself with the plus one of her ex-boyfriend. Chase. The man she let get away 10 years prior because they went to different schools and she didn’t want to do long distance.

One thing I loved most about this book is the flashbacks we get so that we can see everything that happened when they were dating and back in high school.

In the flashbacks we see how much Katie desired to be in the big city and have a career. But as she returns home and starts to hang out with her mother and sister compared to the time and crazy hours she works and the ungrateful demanding boss she starts to think is it all worth it…

This book is fast pace and sweet. It does get a little emotional so you may find yourself in tears towards the end. But overall a very enjoyable read.

Penny For Your Thoughts: A Sweet Romance (Sand Dollar Series Book 1) by J D Boudreaux

5 Stars

I started this series with Book 2 and I know better than to do that but I really was excited to get the history of these characters as I had a few questions when I finished book 2, I did get some of the answers I was looking for and it’s really hard to judge but I really liked booked 2 better than this one and I can’t fault the author for that since Im out of order.

The writing in this one was just as fantastic as the other and flowed smoothly…It did drag just a bit in some places but I found I still didn’t skim ahead.

I do know that I can not wait to jump in to book 3 as I’ve become completely invested in these people and this story…I’m most interested in Payton, she has had me the most confused through this story and I need to see where Alex ends up and if he can ever find his happily ever after.

Loved this book and absolutely adore this series.

Penny has her future all planned out. Her new job as a reporter is the first step toward building a successful life for herself. Unfortunately, her first day on the job isn’t going as she imagined it would. On the side of the highway with a flat tire and open trunk all she can do is silently pray for a miracle…and then gets one.

Alex likes to think he’s a good guy—the type of person who loves to help others. A Good Samaritan. So naturally when he sees a woman stuck at the side of the road, looking all helpless his first instinct is to stop and help.

Little did he know that this one act of kindness would steer both their lives in an entirely different direction.
