I found this one quite enjoyable. A supernatural with a strong woman over the age of 40, woohoo! Great little bits looking at their younger days of battiling the hellgate for the first time. This is a well done story. I found it had a good flow. I liked the premise. I wish more writers would do stories like this. There’s some reminiscing and action with drama. Loved the characters. This was a great story.
I thought the review I would write about this would be bad because of the heavy references to what happened in the past…making me wonder about missing a whole book. I only had to deal with the unknown for about a quarter way through(although references were made later) then the story picked up and the suspense started happening and I could not turn pages fast enough to see what would happen next!
I ended up really loving this story other than the aforementioned issues. I was saddened with the Cole situation. I was hoping he would provide a happy ever after. Seeing these girls now and their interactions with each other was incredible. Good and Bad. I am hoping for more in the future.

I must say I would love an all paid first class around the world trip like there is in this book, and on a happier note. This novella continues the Mission 3047 universe. It’s intriguing, interesting, entertaining, but also a little different. Sarge Going Deep, is the second book in the series. In this story we learn more about Sarge’s past, his future, all the missions, his struggles, and more. I enjoy the sci-fi elements that make this story appealing.

Sarge: Going Deep by Stuart Ledwith. This is the continuing story of Sarge that we have met in Misson 3047 and in this book we really get in depth about Sarge’s character. In this book we find out more about Sarge’s strength, determination and military background. Sarge was a Navy Seal and a very good one then he met the woman of his dreams and married her. After that he moved to the United States and became a part of the “mission”. We learn about Sarge’s personal struggles, his investigations, his space exploration and his top secret missons. This book will keep you flipping pages trying to keep up with all the action. Its not one to be read quickly, you need to savor it. Its a fast paced, sci fi, action story that will keep you flipping pages all thru the night. I highly recommend reading these books in order. We meet new characters in this book but we also catch up with characters from before. Such a great sci fi, action read.

Reunion is the first book in The Hellgate Chronicles by Jocelyn Lindsay. As this appears to be the debut novel of Jocelyn Lindsay, I really didn’t know what I should expect from her writing, but the intriguing cover caught my eye, and the blurb held the promise of a great, supernatural, action-packed adventure- so I took a chance, snapped up a copy and dove right in. This definitely made me think of Buffy the Vampire Slayer having to deal with the Hellgate (Hellmouth) opening again, returning to town after decades away- but now she’s hit her midlife and is a bit of a lonely, cynical, and jaded mess. After closing the Hellgate decades earlier, Meg thought she was done with her hometown, but now things are stirring again, she returns to do what she does best, kickingbutt. But things are never quite that simple…. So, get set for an action- packed adventure where Meg deals with the paranormal, while grappling with some ‘real’ life challenges along the way. Sarge, going deep is a science fiction adventure story of Lieutenant Commander T J Madison, also called Sarge. I have not read the book about Mission 3047, where he was first introduced. This book is more about his personal life, his struggles, his character and his ability to overcome all challenges. With his determination and perseverance, he became a Navy seal, falls in love with a woman, marries her, comes to US and becomes a part of the secret Agency and the person he shaped himself to be in the Mission 3047. I did struggle a bit to understand the context but overall was able to grasp the bigger picture. I enjoyed the book.

5 stars Reunion is a fun and refresh look at a supernatural/paranormal urban fantasy tale full of action. It’s great to see more authors turning to heroines that are not what most would consider the normal age. No, this heroine is over 40 and can kick ar$e and drink with the best of them. Being the keeper of Hells Gate a place of evil will do that to a gal. Reunion is jam packed full of action, suspense, and humour and so much more. It has all the elements I love in a great book. I loved this book. I loved the character, Meg. Actually, I enjoyed the witty and quirky characters that Jocelyn brought to life. Meg not only has to save the world but deal with the supernatural once again to boot, but she must deal with real life problems as well family, kids, friends and I use the term loosely at times, animosity, and much more. Jocelyn has cleverly crafted a tale that is a tangled web of complex threads to bring about something that readers will thoroughly enjoy. This wonderful fast-paced tale is the first book in The Hell Gate Chronicles, fantasy series and what a start it is. I can’t wait for more of these characters and the mayhem they get into.
Meg is definitely a true powerhouse of a character . As well as having her special powers she is strong, Independent and seriously funny which drew me totally into the creative storyline created by this wonderful author. It is great when you find a new author but when you find one that gets you this hooked on their writing its an AMAZING feeling!! I am completely hooked on this series now. I am 100% a new fan and can’t wait for more!

The amount of books that I’ve read with a hero over 25 is ridiculously low. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I absolutely will be coming back for more. I loved the humor of the FMC; and the whole “Seriously? Again?” attitude was perfection. I highly recommend this series, and can’t wait for book 2!
I enjoyed this book.The characters were introduced kind of slowly in the beginning however, the story grew in between each character addition. As the title indicates, this story is about the reunion of a core group of women friends with magic/paranormal powers, approximately 20 something years after leaving high school and a whole bunch of life changes. There is a quest, of course, because what would a sci-fi/ fantasy be without one? All in all the story moved well, had interesting characters, left enough of the back and side story untold so as to entice me to read the rest of the saga. Would totally recommend.

Reunion (The Hellgate Chronicles) by Jocelyn Lindsay – Review by Britney Humphreys This is a 5* book for me. The way the author slowly gives snippets into the earlier days of the characters’ lives drew me into the story. I also love how the author wrote the animosity between the characters. There are deep wounds within the friendship that I believe Allison would love to fix, but I’m not sure if that will ever be possible. The cliffhanger is going to have me begging for the next book well before the Spring 2025 release date…I NEED to know what happens next. How will Meg handle everything that is being thrown at her? What will happen with the pack if she doesn’t fill out their paperwork? Will Bianca lose the giant chip on her shoulder, or will it just keep getting bigger? What will happen with Ziya? How will Sam handle it when she inevitably finds out about all of the magic around her? I have so many questions that were not answered in the first book. The author has set things up for a beautiful series, and I’m along for the ride.

“Hello Miss with many names, I am known as Verun. My sisters will help you all we can.” The voice was calming yet Scully was very hesitant to turn around to face the voice. A quick check of her sensors told her that this voice was alien. Again, the voice spoke, “We will not harm you.” Scully dug down deep inside her being to find the courage to turn and slowly she did so. She stood very still and took in the visage floating in front of her. “Call me Verun. Your sailors helped me learn your language before they succumbed just as your friends have. I can read their minds if you need to ask them questions. You may ask me anything as well.” The voice was calm, now quieter as if not to disturb others. In a voice mimicking Verun’s Scully asked, “What world are you from? I have met several others not from here but never anyone like you.”
Sarge, Goin Deep by Stuart Ledwith brings us more adventures with Sarge (and Co) joining characters we have met previously in ‘Mission 3047’ and ‘Sarge’- as well as meeting a host of new characters who help deliver this intriguing read. In “Sarge: Going Deep,” Dr. Stu Ledwith has spun another tale with Sarge in the lead role. We have another powerfully competent female protagonist in Dr. Liv Manginaro, aka Agent Scully, hired by Celestial Guardians for this rescue mission since June is away on vacation. It is replete with a Navy Admiral, spaceships, intrigue, a new alien race and, of course, adventure. Sarge and I hope you enjoy it, maybe with some hot chocolate and a blanket on the couch.
In this day and age with UFOs and UAPs being seen by military personnel and civilians alike, it seemed only appropriate that I include them in my latest book, “Sarge.” ETs, extraterrestrial beings, have been a part of my life for many years now. I have talked with many and have taken pictures of UFOs with my phone’s camera. You can see three of them on the cover. Drugs on a good day are bad news but when they’re being used as a weapon we’ve got serious trouble on our hands but Jake and Cody 🐾 are a team one shouldn’t underestimate 😉
I was quite worried and fearful at a stage because Jake was getting closer to answers and that means there’s a target on his back and both have their own issues to deal with yet they kept their cool . I love their relationship and dependence on each other , bonds between man and animal are so much tighter than that of human to human , animals are fearless and loyal but Cody is a kind and gentle character🐾

Mission Target by Mark Nolan is a nail-biter of a book!!!!
Jake is summoned to take care of a target that is putting America at risk! The weapon is a powerful new drug that is killing people, and there is no antidote to save peoples’ lives like with opioids. Now, it’s up to Jake and his faithful dog, Cody, to stop the threat before it’s too late!!!
This book is a part of a series, and I haven’t read the prior books, but I don’t think it hampered my understanding of the characters or the plot. It was a well-written book, and the pacing was very rapid with many twists, turns, and surprises. I am a dog lover myself and a mom to two fur babies so I loved the relationship between Jake and Cody!
One of my favorite parts of the book was the author, Mark Nolan’s, notes at the end to his readers. While the book itself and the things occurring were scary, what is more scary is the fact that some of the instances that happened in the book are based in reality, most notably the drug, Tranq, which is killing people. The things noted in that section were mind-blowing and made me think more deeply about things happening in our society.
If you are looking for a lovable dog and a fast-paced thriller, give this book and the series a try!!! I don’t think you will be disappointed!!!!

I have loved every book in the Jake Wolfe Thriller Series, but this one may be my absolute favorite! This is the seventh book in the series and while I think reading the entire series provides the best experience, you can read this as a standalone. There may be minor confusion concerning the characters with no background, but the author does a pretty great job of getting you caught up to speed. Jake, a Marine, and Cody, his retired war dog, consistently find themselves in dicey situations that are quite literally life-and-death. The amount of time invested in the characters and plot are evident as this author has created a completely captivating story. I can’t recommend this series enough! I am ecstatic to see what thrilling adventures the next book has in store for us!

Mission target is the 7th book in the Jake Wolf series, but you don’t have to read them all, or in order. Within the first couple pages, Jake and Cody and their jobs and history are already laid out and summarized. This book follows Jake and Cody as they hunt down terrorists who are importing drugs, with the plan to kill millions of Americans. Like the other books, there is added fluff around the other characters to round out the story. Sarah experiences a little bit of drama and threat in this story, which built on her character. Jake’s “cousin” makes several appearances and has an ongoing support role, and the CIA agents are developed a bit more in this story. I’m not sure how much is accurate with regards to the police/CIA work processes, and the trial… but it was a good read. I like the section the author added at the end, summarizing his research that went into the book. I always enjoy this series, but am glad each one wraps up and doesn’t end in a cliffhanger.

This is the 7th book in the Jake Wolfe series. I read the first book ‘Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie’ before I read this one and I was somewhat lost. In order to really know everyone, I would suggest reading all the books in order. I kind of thought that it could be stand alone which, I mean technically it could. The author writes in vivid detail so even though I clearly missed a lot throughout books 2-6, I was able to catch on after a bit of reading. The author’s writing came a long way from book 1 of the series. This book seemed to flow more easily and had a lot less filler. Plus the characters are written in more detail. I honestly did not like the way the author wrote female characters in the first book of the series but in this book, the females are written differently. Although they all seem to be eye candy, they have more personality traits written which makes a redemption of the author in my books.
Jake is a sought out Mr. Fix-it when it comes to taking out threats on the country. Him and his very smart dog, Cody, work together to do what has to be done to make the streets safe. This time there is a drug threat, wiping out a chunk of the population. Horse Tranquilizer mixed with fentanyl causing deadly overdoses all over. Jake is trying to stop the supplier from smuggling it into the States but the problem is finding out who the king pin is. Once again, himself and Cody are at the top of someones kill list.
On top of that, he finds a dead body of a woman who looks eerily similar to his girlfriend, Sarah. She starts receiving threats and Jake takes it upon himself to try to protect her while carrying out his very long to-do list. Everyone is in danger and it’s up to Jake to rescue them all, including himself.
With a lot of action, unpredictable twists and turns, and an adorable intelligent dog, you will not be able to put this book down.

I have loved each book in this series, and that fondness seems to grow with each installment! It’s filled with danger, drama, and mysterious thrills around each corner. Jake finds himself in a sticky situation with a terrifying cartel. Cody, his war dog, is there to help throughout the story, and I absolutely love their relationship! I also enjoy the ferocity in which Jake protects everyone that he loves. This book was incredibly difficult to put down as this author has a way of just pulling you into Jake’s world and keeping you there! While I recommend reading the series for the full effect, this can definitely be read as a standalone. Pick it up for a fast-paced action thrill ride!

Jake Wolfe is a photojournalist. When on a job to get some incriminating photos of a well known lawyer, Jake ends up witnessing and photographing the lawyers murder. Now he has a target on his back. Luckily as a war veteran, Jake has some training for situations such as this which will help him to survive. This starts a game of cat and mouse between Jake and the murderer.
The murderer is an assassin for hire named ‘The Artist’. He is good at his job and now some guy may take him down just by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Going after Jake is personal and he will stop at nothing to take him down. At the same time, continuing his original job of killing wealthy lawyers. Jake can only evade the inevitable so many times right?
This book was alright as an introductory book to Jake’s character as this series will be about him but in my opinion, I felt like the book was too repetitive and predictable. I hated most of the characters, especially the women. I honestly felt like the author dislikes women and it showed in their writing. I especially hated the dog killing cop. She should not be a police officer for so many reasons. There were lots of plot twists and action but it was hard to fully immerse myself into the story. I am hoping that as the series progresses, it will flow more easily.
Not many authors continue to knock it out of the park three books in, but luckily this is one of the few! Jake and Cody have become two of my very favorite characters that I’ve read about not only this year, but throughout all the series I’ve read. Their relationship is the very definition of “man’s best friend”. The other characters throughout these books are always relatable and all of them are integral to the story. Jake always has his hands full with such dangerous and interesting situations, but will he make it out of this one? I could not put this book down and I have a relatively short attention span. I recommend reading from the beginning of the series for the full effect, but don’t pass it up!

This is the seventh book in the series. Jake spends his time eliminating threats that are assigned to him. This time he and his dog Cody are threatened. This one is action packed and kept me reading to find out what would happen. I love the characters and hope to read more of there adventures.

I was extremely excited to read the second book in this series as the first blew me away. I’m happy to say that this author has accomplished a great feat as the second book is even better than the first! The suspense grips you from the beginning and never lets go, and the danger feels tangible the entire time. I was on the edge of my seat anticipating what could happen next, but I couldn’t figure it out! I truly loved Cody, Jake’s canine buddy, as we learned more about him and their relationship together. Don’t pass this one up or you’ll kick yourself for it later!
