This was a very interesting book. I do not think i have ever read anything like it. It was a Suspenseful dark comedy that had all kinds of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. I have to admit that it did take a little while to get into the story but as soon as it picked up i couldn’t put it down. The characters were funny and man do i want one of those GIANT Cinderella coffee cups that Ann liked to drink out of. She “dreams” of a new life without her husband and has to decide if she should come clean to him about the “dream” she had of him dying. She has to decide if she wants the life that she is living or if she should pack it up and go live her life somewhere else. This was a fun interesting read and i would recommend it a friend. The Future Memoir of Ann Jones by Alex Bailey is such a fun read! It brightened my spirits while getting over the flu! I loved how the author starts this book with a kooky postcard! I feel like I could be best friends with Ann. This book was relatable at times and made me laugh quite a bit. I will definitely looking into what else Alex Bailey has written.

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones was a great 5 star read. This was a different storyline than I’m used to with a little bit of magic and travel through time and I really enjoyed it.
It took me a little bit to get into the story but than I couldn’t put it down. We meet Ann who has visions about her future. She is a widow who joins a knitting club that had some very interesting members and rules.
I really don’t want to say much more and give away things about this great story. There were several twists and turns that pulled me right in. I really liked all of the characters, some gave me LOL moments. I really liked Ben and how he pursued Ann, he wasn’t going to give up. I felt like we got several different stories and it was great. Alex Bailey does a great job of pulling you in with her writing and telling a great story. I look forward to reading more from her.

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones: A Time Travel Romance with a Splash of Magic by Alex Bailey is a science fiction/time travel romance. The author took a different way in telling this story, the method was interesting and fun. From the characters, to the setting/locale, to the unusual events that unfold, this story captures the reader and carries them on the journey with Ann Jones as her life changes in ways that are unexpected. What is this knitting club? That is one of the questions that comes with this story as the author leads us from one thing to another. A unique story with wittiness abound, Alex Bailey provides the unexpected in the most interesting of the ways.

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones is a captivating book by Alex Bailey. I was expecting something along the lines of The Time Traveller’s Wife but it’s more of a Sliding Doors sort of thing. But more so. There were points where it felt a little bit weird, but the framing narrative more or less gives it permission to be a bit weird. After all, we don’t know what if any of the story is real, and how much has been altered as it’s been passed on. It was an enjoyable read. From the start, I was intrigued and needed to know what was going on with the knitting club! The characters were certainly characterful! I particularly liked Helga, a young woman with a flair for palm reading, and Daniel, a chef who is always up for experimenting. At the end of the book, we get an extra treat with the recipes for a few of the dishes mentioned in the story. I very much approve of this, as my mouth was watering pretty much all the way through (so much so that I had to take a break to go and get some chocolate before I could finish reading!). If you like strange cult-like groups with innocent seeming facades (I was reminded of Hot Fuzz!) and a book that explores “what ifs”, then this is definitely worth a read! It wasn’t quite what I expected but I couldn’t put it down, so definitely gets five stars from me!

When I started reading The Future Memoir of Ann Jones: A Time Travel Romance with a Splash of Magic by author Alex Bailey I thought I was getting a light hearted rom-com. In reality what I found was a little gem of a story about a middle-aged woman with a “vision”. In this vision Ann Jones finds herself a widowed empty nester who has moved cross country to start her life over. She’s gotten herself a new house, has found a possible new romantic interest and has joined a knitting club in an effort to make new friends. I enjoyed Ann’s sense of humor and overall spunk throughout the story, I enjoyed all the secondary characters as well as the mystery of the knitting club and its members. Overall this was a different kind of storyline that was refreshing in a world of rote ideas and writing.

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones by Alex Bailey My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
This is a doozy of a book. The start was slow but as I kept reading I got more and more into the story line. The story is awesome and the characters are very well written. I am truly speechless about how to tackle this review.
It is absolutely crazy to me that the story is based on an imagined life in Ann’s head. The whole time I was reading was like it was really happening and then I get a wake up call in the end, realizing that this was not real life. Each character was more interesting than the next and their stories were just as intriguing. I love that this book offered so much detail and background into each character, the best part being this “knitting club”. Throughout the book and learning more and more about the knitting club perplexed me, how did Frida know to invite Ann to join the club? Why are there so many crazy and scary rules, and what happens if you break them?
I want to say so much more but fear I will give too much away. I will say I HIGHLY recommend this book. This is not my usual genre, but I could not put this book down. You absolutely will not regret reading this book, I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to check out more by this author!

The Future Memoir of Anne Jones: A Time Travel Romance with a Splash of Magic by Alex Bailey is a very unique story. Close your eyes and picture Stepford Wives in the world of Premonition (I hope you have seen both movies so you get an inclination of what I mean!). I loved both movies so it is not a far stretch that I also liked this story. This unique story is written in a letter form – Alex is sending a letter to her sister telling her the story of her friend Ann Jones who had a vision of her husband dying … it feels like a dream at times (imagine yourself being fed up with your life and then imagining what your life would be like if …). It is a fun story, I have never read anything remotely similar to it and it entertains the heck out of you! It has a bunch of intriguing characters that keep you guessing and thinking what will happen next. I did feel that the story was a bit slow to take off but after couple of chapters you get sucked in and will be let out only when you get to the end so put aside some time when you pick up the story as the ‘future is waiting for you!”

“The Future Memoir of Ann Jones” is a wildly imaginative story by Alex Bailey. It may take you a minute to get into the book, but do not give up! This creative story will keep you turning the pages and guessing until the very end! This was one of those stories you don’t want to put down simply because the story is so inventive and you just want to know what happens next! Ann is a wonderfully complex character who just moved to a new town that makes her question everyone and everything. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about her adventure, even if it did leave me with a few questions of my own! There were a few points that I was hoping would get explained in more detail but didn’t, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying this book. So, I give “The Future Memoir of Ann Jones” four stars!

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones was a really refreshing read. When I first read the blurb I wasn’t quite sure it would be a book I would enjoy but I decided to give it a go and it is exactly a described – a time travel romance with a splash of magic! It really was great to read. I found myself captivated by the story straight away, I liked that I wasn’t sure what was going to happen and as Alex Bailey is a new to me author I wasn’t sure how the book would be written. The author had a really great engaging and very imaginative writing style which suited the story perfectly. It did take me a little time to understand what was going on but that just added to the intrigue of this book. The characters in the story were really great and there were definitely some great humorous moments that were very entertaining. I definitely recommend this book and would love to read more from this author again in the future.

The Future memoir of Ann Jones by Alex Bailey a four-star read that will take you places. This one will likely confuse you at times when you first start reading but keep reading as it does unfold and you will understand the whole pot of crazy that goes on, the twists do become clear and this dark wonder becomes clear. The author has a great talent at giving just enough information to keep you hooked but not too much that it gets nuts. There are far to many characters to mention as I don’t want to leave any of these amazing characters out, my only issue was I felt it did go on a little and it was crazy at the beginning but it did pull it together overall.

The Future Memoir Of Ann Jones was an excellent novel with a little time travel and magic. The author pulls you in to the interesting hype about the secret knitting club and as the reader you can’t help but wonder just what is going on. There were crazy rules the members had to follow. I loved Ann’s character and how she changed over time. She was so focused and creative. I also loved how her relationship with Ben started out. I was laughing at the attempts he made to get her on a date. He was determined. This was such a magical and wonderful read!

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones: A Time Travel Romance with a Splash of Magic By Alex Bailey Rated 3 stars
This is a crazy, crazy story with a multitude of characters. They range from sweet and funny to strange and haunting. There were many that have a hard edge to them that comes out at weird times. The story was a bit strange at first then got moving right along. When she first met her neighbor and the car salesman I thought this was going to be great. These two quirky characters were going to set the tone for the book. They did in a way but I got a bit bored with all the life stories once she joined a club. I know..I know they served a purpose but they just didn’t do it for me. One or two to set the tone would have been fine.
This is my second Alex Bailey book. I liked the idea of the story but the delivery of a few things were tedious. Ben and Daniel were my two favorite characters. I loved Ben’s tenacity over Ann stubbornness. Daniel was just a fun creative guy. What a weird little town and club this was.

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones: A Time Travel Romance with a Splash of Magic is a story by Alex Bailey. A never before read author, I was intrigued by the blurb of the story, and my fascination just grew from there.
Ann Jones captivated my attention from the very beginning. Her whole persona was a mystery begging to be unravelled. What made her tick was something I had to discover. The story was so well written and stunning in its descriptive and engaging manner. Ann and her shenanigans made me laugh, cringe and love hard. I was bewitched by this mesmerising and exciting tale. Her journey is a wild one, and she learns so much about herself, it is the ultimate reading pleasure personified. Wife, mother, friend and knitting club member, she has a busy life, and her imagination will take readers on a wild ride with an exciting leading lady and a cast of complementary characters to help Ann on her mysterious and way.
A beautifully written story that took me on a path I don’t usually take when reading a high quality story. A story like this I have never read. The knitting club raised my curiosity to high levels and the evolving of the story was masterful. 5 stars.

This was definitely an engaging original story that I found to be most intriguing. This story is full of twists and turns and be careful because there are things that are not as they seem. As I read further into this book more and more of it came together and made sense. I experienced a variety of emotions while reading this, I laughed, I sat at the end of my seat with the suspense gripping me, and I was touched by the women’s stories. There is a lot going on in this book and the author did an amazing job making it all come together, connecting the dots if you will. I found this story to be an awesome read that I would highly recommend.

This is not your ordinary story. Ann Jones takes us on an adventure through her life and the mysterious knitting club. I enjoyed the character of Ann and how she changed during the story. Also, I kept reading to find out about the knitting club that was full of crazy rules. The people Ann encounters in the story are interesting and lively. I enjoyed this book from start to finish. I have read several of Alex Bailey’s other novels before and enjoyed them so when I saw the bright cover for The Future Memoir of Ann Jones: A Time Travel Romance with a Splash of Magic, I was a bit hesitant at the title but intrigued nonetheless. To me I am not usually for the time travel or kitchy magic stuff, and the blurb with the kitting club didn’t sell me any more so. I however am glad that I didn’t discount the entire novel before I even gave it a chance based solely on a cover and a few blurbs. This really dabbled in quite a few things, mystery and drama, a bit of suspense and romance with that sprinkle of promised magic… never too much, muchly appreciated, it kept it cute and quirky not overdone and cheesy. I enjoyed the moments of humor and the knitting club set things up perfectly and made sense in the end. I would even be back for more if there were to be more in the future. I can’t wait to see what else Alex Bailey has in store for us in the future!

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones: A Time Travel Romance with a Splash of Magic by Alex Bailey was a fun and mysterious read that told a cleverly woven tale- full of humour, mystery, a drop of darkness, some suspense, a light sprinkle of magic, and plenty of intrigue. I had really enjoyed the other works of Ms. Bailey’s that I have read, so I was certain I would enjoy this story as well. The premise certainly drew my attention, as did the attractive cover. Ms. Bailey spins a wonderfully imaginative tale that was a humorous cross between the ‘Stepford Wives’ and a not so dark ‘Premonition’. Alex tells the story through a letter to her sister, which was an interesting way to capture the story. She tells of her friend Ann Jones who is a happily married mother of two, settled on the West Coast with a tight-knit circle of family and friends- and whose ‘vision’ is the subject of the letter/story. In her vision, Ann loses her husband in a basement/box accident- leaving her a widow. So, with her teenage twins in college, she decides to leave everything behind- takes her dog, and moves to the East Coast But the story gets more complex when she joins a Knitting Club in her new area. There are strange rules, and very friendly, but quirky members, who have all lost a husband- usually in a bizarre way. Ann’s ‘new life ‘includes a great new job, as well as a new man. Things certainly seem to be falling into place. But there is an underlying danger that is the basis of the story. The story revolves around this ‘future’ existence and Ann seeking Alex’s advice on what to do about what she’d ‘seen’, because it was only a ‘vision’ after all…..wasn’t it? This was a fun, witty, original, engaging and entertaining story. It was a tad slow to get going, but after a few chapters the story took off. There are a few points where the story did ‘lag’ a little- but not enough to detract from my overall enjoyment of it.

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones by Alex Bailey was a super fun, light heart read that, really leaves you wondering.
Not my first read by this author, so I knew going in I was in for some splendid writing and interesting characters. I was not disappointed. This read was all of that and more. I was hooked from that first intriguing chapter and I didn’t stop reading until that opened ending, that has me wondering what the hell is going to happen with Ann.
This book is truly unique, as it is a whole story about a woman’s, Ann’s, vision of a future life where there is a bizarre knitting club, an hot sales guy and of course, even more bizarre circumstances that seem so surround the “knitting club“. I have to say I was starting to wonder if the ladies in that “knitting club” were psychos or not. Not sure what I’m getting on with? Well you’re just going to have to read this wonder to find out, because I’m not giving anything away.
I will tell you that this story isn’t like anything I have read before. There are so many questions left unanswered and so many things that has my mind running on replay. I need to know how it all played out, I mean, you just ended the story, I need to know what Ann did!
Overall if you haven’t guessed, this story gets my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval.

I went into this story “blind”. I did not read the blurb, I did not read reviews, I didn’t even know the genre. Honestly, based on the cover I thought it was a “cozy mystery” (it is not).
This is the story of “Ann, queen of the eternally-freshly-coiffed-dos” who moved to a (name of town changed to protect the innocent… hehe) for a fresh start. It is told in third person “to make it a little easier on you to read”.
The story is extremely detailed and while I enjoyed reading it, I must confess to skipping ahead because I had no clue what was going to happen.
There is a very clear beginning, middle, and end. The story had me chuckling, shrugging my shoulders in wonder, and gave me the occasional jaw drop.
This is one of those books that I enjoyed but wouldn’t be able to explain why in less than a full recap.
Much like the author, I am also a fan of the Oxford Comma so I will recommend it based on that alone :).

This is a dark comedy that kept me engaging until the end. I enjoyed the attention to details and great characters that kept the story flowing. This story is about Ann Jones. She dreams of a new life without her husband. She took me on a journey of twists and turns and at times you realize things are not as they appear. I enjoyed her character, she just wants something else with her kids gone, it is her time to live. This is a fun, creative story that I highly recommend reading.

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones: A Time Travel Romance with a Splash of Magic By: Alex Bailey 5 out of 5 stars
The story The Future Memoir of Ann Jones: A Time Travel Romance with a Splash of Magic by Alex Bailey is a book that has quite an unusual storyline and interesting/intriguing characters. The description of the story caught my interest and once I started, I was hooked. There is mystery, romance, stories told, and also situations that had me wondering what was going on and what would happen next. I enjoyed reading about the character of Ann Jones. She is a woman who is at times stubborn. There is the Knitting Club in which she has joined. It sounds like a typical group in which the members get together with a common interest. Why are there rules to this club that have nothing to do with knitting? The members of the Knitting Club each have their own personalities and were very entertaining to read about. The story had me glued to the pages until I had finished. The book flows smoothly and the storyline creative. It is a story I would recommend reading.

Ann Jones knows the difference between a daydream, a fantasy, and a vision. She’s a decent, middle-class mom with a respectable husband and two kids. And a “wild imagination.”
But what kind of decent woman imagines her husband dead, a relocation across the country, a new career, the perfect boyfriend, and most importantly, Knitting Club?
Not just any old Knitting Club. This one has rules—not one of them concerns knitting.
Ann listens to the club members’ stories, becomes entangled in their lives, obeys their rules, and keeps her suspicions to herself.
Her independent existence is an awakening. Ann Jones has changed.
So what happens when she wakes up?
Steel Magnolias meets Stepford Wives. Moving, powerful, enchanting, and brimming with a glorious cast of characters; this is a joy.
Alex Bailey was a bored writer/editor of documents as monotonous as vacuum cleaner manuals. She left that life behind to create more exciting worlds than the one she lived in. The Future Memoir of Ann Jones is the first book under her assumed identity. She also writes children’s books under the name of Hoot N. Holler. When Alex is not listening to friends reveal wild stories about their future, she tends to her organic garden while belting out show tunes. Alex and her husband started the garden with the intent to donate fresh organic food to their local food bank, and so far, it has been a smashing success. Ironically, Alex does not have the patience to sit still long enough to knit. But, some of her favorite hobbies include: embarrassing her children in public with her rhythmically-challenged dancing, cleaning the small disc around the stopper of the bathroom sink, and dallying.

Once Upon A Romance: A Dream Come True book one written by Alex Bailey. When Sophie’s niece asks for one thing for Christmas and it’s in memory of her mother Sophie can’t say no regardless of how it will make her feel. So off to Walt Disney World they go. You feel the loss of Natalie throughout the story but it still has those happy moments of loved ones remembering her and enjoying the day in her favorite place. Overall the story was cute and had it’s funny moments definitely worth the read.

Once Upon a Romance (A Dream Come True Book 1) By Alex Bailey I loved reading this heartwarming holiday story. This book gave me all the feels I want in a great story. Even though there is heartbreak there is also a abundance of love and support in this story. The author did an amazing job with the details in this story that I felt like I was there at Disney World with them experiencing the magic of the place and the season. This truly was an emotional wonderful story that will stay with me for a long time. I know that I will revisit this story multiple times because I enjoyed reading it that much!! Once upon a romance by Alex Bailey was a great feel good book. This is the first book Ive read by this author and was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to read and how much I enjoyed it. Sophie grew up with an older sister and parents who were all obsessed with Disney World. Sophie never really understood why she didn’t enjoy going as much but it makes sense to her later in the book why.
Sophie should be visiting her boyfriend Darren’s family for Christmas this year until she finds out her niece Ariel asked Santa for one thing this year….to go to Disney. Ariel’s mom passed away a few months prior and it has been very rough on her. Sophie knows, she has to do what’s right and bring Ariel to WDW even if she has no desire to go. While in Disney she meets a man named Ray who also runs a Facebook page and is known as Professor Disney. Ray seems a little off to Sophie but, Ariel really enjoys his company so Sophie lets him tag along with them since he knows everything about Disney. Add a little pixie dist and a toothless Santa and anything can happen. How will Darren feel when he comes to Disney on Christmas Eve and finds out all about Ray. I thought this was a well written book and it kept my attention.
