My son loved this. He loves fireflies and enjoyed learning about them. He can’t wait for the snow to melt so he can dig and try to find some himself. The information at the end of her books is always a nice bonus. The illustrations were detailed and cute.

Managing Mischief (Shattered Embrace Series) by Alyndra Quinn – Review by Alyssa McLean

Managing Mischief (Shattered Embrace #2)Managing Mischief by Alyndra Quinn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Managing Mischief really kicks things up a notch from the first book, and I loved it! The covers of this series are extremely eye-catching. If you haven’t read the first one, I would recommend it.
Alyndra really gets into how their relationship grows and changes, both inside and outside the club, as they deal with all sorts of drama. And let’s talk about those spicy scenes—whew! Also I could not believe the plot twist in this one!
Overall, it was a fun and steamy read that kept me hooked from start to finish.

The cover is nice and grabs your attention. Throughout the book I really wished Ashton would embrace her self-confidence. It was a little light in the smut department. I’m hoping in book 2 she moves past some of her anxiety and insecurities. I felt like I enjoyed the side characters more than the main ones.

This book is AMAZING!
There was a lot of information to digest in the beginning but after that the book is a very easy read. I binged it in a day. The characters were very likeable. The cover is very pretty. The humor was great. I wish the next book was out already. I wanted to stay in that world longer!

It moved at a good pace. The locations were well detailed. I could picture everything very clearly. Hopefully in the next book she gets some revenge. I struggled to get through the noncon scenes. I expected to grow to understand or care for Kingston but it never happened.

The dog safety tips at the end were a nice addition. The illustrations were beautiful and colorful. The kids in the book spoke more like adults but the story is great and we loved it.

I havent read the other books in the series but the author does a good job of giving enough backstory for you to not be lost in all of the characters. I liked that the story picks up quickly. It keeps you guessing who’s loyal or not. Its great for anyone into the instalove trope and paranormal characters. It’ll be interesting to see what happens in the next book!

Such a cute and positive book for kids. We’ve read it multiple times already. My son already remembers what some of the lines will be and says them before I can. The illustrations are bright and colorful and it was fun for him to see characters from the authors’ other books. It was great to read this to him and teach him more empowering and positive ways to think about himself.

It’s a great book if you’re looking for a cozy mystery, with ghostly escapades that’ll make you crave gelato.

I loved the great-great-aunt/niece relationship. They made me laugh. Adriana likes to stir up trouble and play match maker. The witnesses in the book were surprising.

I recommend it for anyone who wants to solve murder and take a ride through Italy with a ghostly companion by their side.

The illustrations were cute and the story flowed nicey. The story reminds us that it’s important not to trust everyone. It teaches us that trust should go hand in hand with a bit of caution, and we should be aware that not everyone we come across has our best interests at heart. My 4 year old was pretty upset about the cuckoo birds actions and as a result didnt enjoy the book much after that. It may be suited best to older kids.

It was a great book for my four-year-old. It kept his interest, he sat still for the whole thing, which is usually a struggle. It showed him not to give up. The illustrations were beautiful. He loved seeing what the cat and dog were getting up to on each page, especially when the cat was sitting on top of the dog. He also loves experimenting and baking and is excited to try out the recipe after we pick up the ingredients.

There’s an eerie setting in this book which made it good to read around Halloween. It was a quick read. You are kept guessing what the outcome will be until the end of the book. It has interesting characters. Although I felt that there could have been more chemistry between the two main characters, I was still able to enjoy the story. If you enjoy books with M/M and supernatural characters then you may enjoy this one.
