Scandalously Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 5) by Anise Storm – Review by Amanda LaMiller

Scandalously Yours (Titans Of Manhattan #5)Scandalously Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am OBSESSED with the Titans. I originally started by reading the second book in this series. It was recommended to me by my super picky sister. I was hooked the moment I picked it up and each one since has been the same. These are standalones but I guarantee you will want to read them all.
Kristopher is trying to rebuild his life after a divorce that was an absolute blessing, and Alessia is trying to build a life outside of her work. When their vacation romance follows them home and they realize Kristopher is Alessia’s new boss, things cant help but get complicated.

Undeniable (Central Florida Stories, #2)Undeniable by Victoria Saccenti
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Undeniable is book two in the Central Florida Stories series by Victoria Saccenti but is a standalone. I am a die-hard smut reader and the spice in this book is off the charts!!! I love my smut with a good story behind it and Kurt and Arely kept me sucked in and guessing though the whole book. If my childhood crush grew up to not only be my price charming but a Dom I would be in heaven lol. This book has everything I could have asked for, spice, Dom/sub, excitement, mystery and did I mention spice?? I promise you will not want to put this down…

One Unexpected Gift (Band of Sisters) by Marianne Rice – Review by Amanda LaMiller

One Unexpected Gift (Band of Sisters)One Unexpected Gift by Marianne Rice
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book gave me all the emotions. I have read the other 3 Band of Sister books by Marianne Rice and will say this one was my favorite. You do not need to read the other three, but they are amazing and you should do it anyways! There is just something about a single independent mom finding her person that hits close to home and gives me the warm fuzzies.
Skylar is a strong independent army medic who just happens to get the greatest gift of her life after the greatest fifteen minutes of her life.
At first look Nick is your typical small-town playboy, carefree, business owner. After getting devastating news ending his adventures, he has no idea that his biggest adventure is about to walk through the door!

Power Play (Astoria Bay Thunder #1)Power Play by C.J. Cartwright
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Power Play: A Second Chance Hockey Romance (Astoria Bay Thunder Book 1) by CJ Cartwright was a complete hit for me. I am all about the second chance romances, combined that with sports and you have me hooked. From the first chapter I was rooting for Brynn and Levi. CJ did an amazing job bringing the characters to life, I felt like I was there and apart of the team. After heartbreak and years apart how do you trust your first love again, is it even possible to let go of the past? There were so many will they wont they moments I was on the edge of my seat. I devoured this book and the second in the series in one night. This is a must read.

Body Checked (Astoria Bay Thunder Book 2) by CJ Cartwright – Review by Amanda LaMiller

Body Checked (Astoria Bay Thunder #2)Body Checked by C.J. Cartwright
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Body Checked: A Frenemies-to-Lovers Hockey Romance by CJ Cartwright is the send book in the Astoria Bay Thunder series. Playboy Bridger is struggling with his image and is about to lose the career he has worked his whole life for. Tia is trying to pick up her life once again after losing her job due to her playboy ex who is trying to ruin her life. She decides what could be better than to help her best friend with a hockey photo shoot for charity.
When Tia and Brody meet its instant chemistry and decide to give themselves a weekend of fun, but is a weekend really enough??
This was a new series for me and I have to admit I couldn’t put it down. While you don’t need to read the first in the series it does fill in a bit of wholes and is where Bridger and Tia are first introduced to readers. This was a fun read and I read the first two in a day. I can’t wait to move on to the next!

Victoriously Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 4) by Anise Storm – Review by Amanda LaMiller

Victoriously Yours (Titans Of Manhattan #4)Victoriously Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Victoriously Yours is book number 4 in Anise Storm’s Titans of Manhattan series.
Jonas Courtland not only a Titan of Manhattan but a playboy though and though.
Mackenzie Broderick preacher’s daughter and up and coming chef trying to make a name for herself in the big city.
I have read the first three of Titans of Manhattan and jumped straight in to this one just like the rest. Jonas is a real pig and at first, I was struggling to see how I could ever forgive him for all the things he had done to sweet Kenzie. By the end I was 100% team Jonas. It was a good reminder that we never really know someone’s past or what made them they way they are. Everyone has a story and Jonas’s is not what it seems.

Romance under Aquarius (Stargazing Series Book 1) by Danielle Jacks – Review by Amanda LaMiller

Romance Under AquariusRomance Under Aquarius by Danielle Jacks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Romance under Aquarius: Stargazing Series #1 by Danielle Jacks is one of a kind. It is a fun twist on paranormal romance. What if mermaids were real? What about Atlantis? With multiple character views, every twist reveals something new. I was hooked from the first chapter. Maris, Kasper, Ryn and Pasha are all such relatable characters you almost forget this takes place in the middle of the ocean. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.!

The Mastermind : A Brother's Best Friend Romance (WaterFyre Rising Book 1)The Mastermind : A Brother’s Best Friend Romance by Nadia Han
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mastermind: A Brothers Best Friend Romance (WaterFyre Rising Book 1) is the first I have read from author Nadia Han. I have to say it’s not your typical brother’s best friend romance and I didn’t mind that one bit. It has so much angst, suspense, and mystery upon mystery. With her always keeping you guessing writing Nadia builds a world you actually feel like you are living in. I can’t get Remi and Audri off my mind! I will definitely be reading the second in this series!!

Taming of the Few (Guardians of the PHAE Book 1) by Rowan Dillon – Review by Amanda LaMiller

Taming of the FewTaming of the Few by Christy Nicholas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If you love fantasy, conflict multi character views, this book is for you. I have to say the cover art drew me in at first sight. Taming of the Few: An Irish Urban Fantasy Novel is book one in the Guardians of the PHAE series by Rowan Dillon. Rowan did a fantastic job of bringing Anna a teacher trying to figure out who she is, Max a solider working to overcome his PTSD, and their world to life. Make sure you have a comfy place to relax and all the snacks you could ever need because once you pick this book up you won’t be putting it down till it’s finished, enjoy the ride!

Flame and Crystal Thorns (Fae and Crystal Thorns Book 1) by Kay L. Moody – Review by Amanda LaMiller

Flame and Crystal Thorns (Fae and Crystal Thorns)Flame and Crystal Thorns by Kay L. Moody
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I wanted to start this by saying Kay L Moody’s “Flame and Crystal Thorns” (Fae and Crystal Thorns Book 1) is a spin off from Kay L Moody’s “Court of Bitter Thorn” series. I was able to read this without reading court of Bitter Thorn but went back and read it when I was done. Chloe and Quintus are not your typical main characters, but you can’t help but love them. When Quintus shows up from the Fae realm needing the help of kindhearted Chloe, Chloe world is once tipped on its axis. She must find the strength and confidence inside herself to believe what Quintus does, she is the only one capable of saving their world.

A Veil of Gods and Kings (Apollo Ascending, #1)A Veil of Gods and Kings by Nicole Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As a huge fan of Greek mythology and enemies-to-lovers, I was instantly sucked into this book. A Veil of Gods and Thorns is the first book in the “Apollo Ascending” series by Nicole Bailey. This book centers around the Greek myth about Apollo and Hyacinth with a twist. There is so much to this book I am afraid to give any of it away. It’s one that you need to just pick up and start, I promise you won’t be able to put it down. I will definitely be finishing this series!

Spring’s Calling (Seasons of Magic Book 1) by Sarah Biglow – Review by Mandi LaMiller

Spring's Calling (Seasons of Magic, #1)Spring’s Calling by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I didn’t know what to expect when first opening “Springs Calling” by Sarah Biglow. I have to say Sarah did not disappoint. Springs Calling is an urban crime fantasy with tons of twists and turns that keep you on edge. After losing her mother to a murder that everyone pretended did not happen, Ezri Trenton vowed to solve the murder herself. Now as a Boston rookie detective she is finally has the resources to do it. Solving her mothers murder is not easy especially when Sarah is hiding that she is a Witch and if she doesn’t already have enough on her plate, she is trying to solve a string of murder which seem to be related to a prophecy that just so happens to declare Ezri as the Savior. Ezri has amazing character development and must learn how to trust others. After a bit of a slow start, I couldn’t put this book down and have already started the next one

Claiming My Mate (Wolf Hollow Pack Book 1) by Nicole Howl – Review by Amanda LaMiller

Claiming My Mate (Wolf Hollow Pack, #1)Claiming My Mate by Nicole Howl
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nicole Howl’s “Claiming My Mate” is the first in her Wolf Hollow Wolf Pack series. Shifter romances are usually not the first books I turn to, but the cover art grabbed my attention immediately and pulled me in. This is geared more towards a YA romance with shifters, werewolves, fated mates, humans, and plenty of action. I would like to add a trigger warning though, it does deal with some more mature and dark themes such as rape and abuse.
The male MC, Jason is the prince of the Wolf Hollow Royals and set to take over from his horrible father as the Alpha King. Lily, the female MC is a young human servant in the royal kingdom who doesn’t feel like she belongs. Tragic events bring the Jason and Lily together and no matter how hard they try they cannot escape their fate. Along the way they face many battles by both family and enemies.
Once I picked this book up, I couldn’t put it down! Nicole jumped right in with the action, and it was a very fast paced book from beginning to end. The book was shorter than I prefer but completely worth it. I can not wait for the second one to come out to learn the fate of Jason and Lily.
