Priscida Finds Greatness by Constance Mays – Review by Amanda DelFemine

Priscida Finds Greatness: In Herself and in OthersPriscida Finds Greatness: In Herself and in Others by Constance Mays
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book and will definitely have to read it to my nieces. It is a very simplistic book that gets the point across. You can come from nothing but with hard work, perseverance and heart you can do anything you want. Don’t forget where you came from but also learn from it and be and do better. Find the best in people and help them to achieve greatness as you will also feel satisfied. Everyone can benefit from reading this even though the age range is 9-12 years old. Everyone can take something away from it.

Nite Fire: Flash Point by C. L. Schneider – Review by Amanda DelFemine

I had a lot of fun listening to this book. This is the first book by this author and wowza does she know how to make this book entertaining. There were so many fight scenes that the detail in them just add you feel like you were in it. My favorite part of the whole book was the steamy sex scene made me want to jump in there and be a part of it all.

Weep, Woman, Weep: A Gothic Fairytale about Ancestral Hauntings by Maria DeBlassie – Review by Amanda DelFemine

Weep, Woman, WeepWeep, Woman, Weep by Maria DeBlassie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

DeBlassie knows just how to get you hooked from the first few sentences. It kept me engaged the whole time. I read it all in one sitting and by sitting I mean a 5 hour car ride haha. I knew of the folklore of la llarona as the weeping woman but she really incorporated the story of Mercy and Santos and Miguel beautifully. I enjoyed the pain, heartache and the happiness with all the ups and downs. I loved the writing style and how easy to read it was.

I am sure it was tough for Mercy to lose her best friend but have Sherry within reach and she would leave Sherry little gifts. Mercy did it for so long she forgot why she started to do it in the first place. Mercy didnt know what real kindness was until Santos came and bought the farm next to her. That is when her view on life changed.
