Soon after it’s in his possession the wife of the jeweler ends up dead. Mimi, his daughter and journalist, investigates this crime. She likes to jump head first and not always think before she does something. She partners up with her boyfriend cop to find the killer.

This is book five of the series. I highly recommend reading the first four first. I was a little mixed up on some things. Devon and her father are not close at all. He sold her when she was younger. She finally can get her chance at revenge on the guy her dad sold her to, but she has to stay on the down low. If they caught her she would never make it out of that world again.

She has a trial hearing for her mom who killed her sister. Shane is the guy that always has one thing happen to him after another. He was facing charges for hitting a guy. Winter sees Shane and thinks he is soo cute, but Shane remembers what she did to him when they were younger.

So much happens within a year for him.
This book was great. It was different than I thought, highly recommend.

They ask each other all sorts of questions. They soon find out that a war has been called in Ukraine. Amaleigha and her class help raise money, to try and help everyone out.

Ian is cautious about the place and Jarryd is a little weary but is more excited to discover where they are. Can the boys go back to the way they were before? Ready to book three.
