Read this as a stand alone and yes there were some moments where I was a bit confused. However that was only a handful of times, so truly this CAN be read as a standalone. However if you want to know the full in’s and outs – read the previous two books unlike me. This book was overall a good read and had a lot going on. Good vs evil, race issues & discrimination if you would ( gave me Hitler vibes or current day race issues you see in the news :/ ), betrayals, growth, Changes, lots of action, and literally so so much more. This book will suck you in and keep you hooked until you finish it. I hope to read the first two books some day soon so I can get the full background. This is my first book by this author and certainly will not be my last.!

Suspenseful thriller w/ a side of romance. This is a kind of book you will not put down till it’s over. A town being infiltrated by suicides but are they truly suicides? Detective nick has a hunch that there’s foul play involved. From that point it’s a roller coaster of novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat! Overall really enjoyed this book. It had a typical romcom feel to it, that makes you feel warm inside. I liked that we were able to see the vulnerability in our couple which is so relatable. How people who suffer from anxiety have to cope when dating. How they seek reassurance from theirs partners. Personally at times I struggle with this, so I enjoyed knowing I’m not alone in that regard. Overall book was enjoyable. Think of a hallmark movie kinda rom com book!

I have read EVERY one of the mafia elite novels and truly loved them all. This prequel novella was a book I didn’t even know I needed. I like that we get to see them as younger adults. However I would recommend reading this after completing the series. Whilst this one was good, every book in the series is GREAT and has a lot more romance, spice, and action!

A feisty dark romance! Also warning this one has some dark triggers scenes. I love that Evelyn is courageous, bad, feisty, and stubborn! Damian is calculated, mysterious, and misunderstood. They experience a traumatic moment as kids, but years later reunite and sparks and chaos fly. Lots of ups and downs. With everything from the past and new threats coming to light can they make it work? Or will they again fall for the lies and manipulations from people around them?Whirlwind of a roller coaster novel that you won’t regret!

Loved these books!

#7:

I don’t understand how these books keep getting better & better. Everything single time a new one comes out, sign me up! While there are slight similarities between the books for obvious reasons, each and every book is different. Different situations and life stories. I don’t know how she does it. Literally 🤯 = me. All I truly know is that in previous books we have seen glimpses of Nico & Mia, and we don’t really know who either of them are. Nico we’ve seen a bit more, but I like that they both flourish and develop naturally in this book. I truly hope this isn’t the end of the road! Maybe some sequels or spin offs of the current Chicago families would be nice. However honestly anything Amy McKinley writes will be amazing!

A great story of the underdogs finding their way survive and come up on top! I loved that aspect of this book. It was refreshing! What starts off as a whoopsie, ends up being one of the best decisions Summer & Luc make! It starts their angsty and steamy roller coaster of a ride. In the beginning there’s tons of mistrust and secrets, but with time they see the truth and gain trust. Many curveballs and surprising moments. In the end everything happens to a reason and everything plays out as it should. Summer is welcomed with the wives & family and clicks with them instantly like she meant for that life all along!

Messssy messy second shot at the one that got away?

Messy chaos would best describe many many situations in this one. While there’s a fair share of soulmate and romantic moments, just like real life there’s moments that come to blow up everything up! Mavis finds herself in multiple sticky situations and “tries” to be selfless and avoid hurting others but ultimately hurts herself the most in the long run. Again shall I say – chaos?

Some very delightful twists and spin offs then your average romance / spicy novel. Will keep you coming back for more and wanting more! Great chemistry between all characters, and plot moves that keep you on your toes!

A adorably cute second chance at love story. Something unexpected and traumatizing happens that breaks up our favorite couple. By fate or destiny years later they cross each other’s paths. However everything isn’t what it seems, even if chemistry is off the charts. Our couple has to figure out the many many puzzle pieces of the jumbled mess of the past, if they want to move forward! This was a quick, light, and overall a easy read!

Ashes of Sin and StardustAshes of Sin and Stardust by Lindsay Murray

This was nothing like I’ve ever read before. I read the many many warnings prehand and felt capable of handing such scenes or stories. The closest thing I can describe this to would be 50 shades of grey, but multiplied by 10. In darkness and levels of bdsm. Also this was a really long book since it went so far into detail. Which isn’t a bad thing, it made sure all basis we’re covered. However there was some repetitiveness that had me sighing like here we go again. Overall I would call this a good read, definitely not for the faint of heart. Definitely opened my eyes more in the realm of bdsm!

Do you believe in soul mates? Do you think you’d recognize your soulmate at first glance? This novel takes you on a journey of two soulmates, who’re struggling to find their way in life & to each other. Very heartwarming, deep, and up-lifting. Don’t let that fool you, there are still lots of plot twists and moments of confusion, and chaos. Overall a great charming and emotional read. It’s a book you find yourself reading till 1am.

Someone Exactly Like Me (Wounded Hearts, #1)Someone Exactly Like Me by Debbie Cromack
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

We’ve all been there at some point in our lives… A fan girl. Having a famous idol as a crush. The story starts out with our girl Destiny meeting her idol/crush, and it’s a whirlwind story from there. What I liked most about this book is that both characters are flawed. In most books that I’ve read it’s usually one flawed character being saved by the other not so flawed character. However as I mentioned both of them are flawed and they have to dig deep to get to the root cause of their issues, and basically save themselves. One thing Is for sure I do wish that Destiny had a little bit more self-confidence in herself. Overall it was a slow and steady burn kind of story. There was great character growth and development, and an HEA in the end!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow! Just wow! I wish there was more! This book had a cutesy love story, while still focusing on real life issues. I enjoyed that this story was about two people who go through life and have to learn to make the most of it. This book did not follow the typical stigmatism in my option (which I loved). Both main characters are people who are working on themselves and it’s never truly one sided. A big breath of fresh air! Also there was one line in this book that really spoke to me as well for my own personal life – “The only thing
you can change is your mind-set. Can’t
change the universe and how it is constantly
trying to f-y0u. But you can change how
you view it, how you allow it to make you
feel. You are in control of your mind-set.” . I think I got goosebumps the first time reading it that I read it over two more times. I truly enjoyed this book, and I love that line. I know what my new mantra will be when I’m similar situations.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Victoriously yours is my first Titan read ever, and hot dang. I could not put this book down. This book is like the movies she’s all that meets 50 shades of grey. I loved the spin, angst, and plot twists at every corner. This book has me on the edge of my seat so many times! This book was filled with lots of drama and hard times for both main characters. I like that we learned about their pasts and see how it’s molded them to who they became later on in life. Per my title there’s a LOT of spicy parts, and I mean a lot. However it was not overbearing or repetitive IMO. This author has a way to hook you and reel you in. Seriously a good read and glad I found this book! Going to go buy the previous Titan books right now!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book from this author that I’ve read. I see there is a prequel but I haven’t read it, and thankfully I never felt confused or lost. I loved that this book had a storyline that sucks you in and makes the story come to life (in my mind). I’m an empath so I tend to take on peoples emotions or feelings (even when reading), so when this book had sooo many plot twists and turns I expected to feel queasy. However I felt somewhat excited, full of anticipation, and felt on the edge of my seat. That never happens for me, usually I need to stop reading and take a break! This book was well written and easy to follow. A fast paced – page turner kind of book! Overall really good suspenseful read, strongly recommend!

No Way Out (Mafia Elite, #1)No Way Out by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Since this series can be read as stand alones , I started on book 4. Naturally I continued the order 5, and 6. However I want more! I was hesitant to start the begging book well because these other books kind of spoiled some things for me if you would. However, boy was I wrong! There were MANY surprises for me!! I never felt bored once. I always love that we get both sides to the story so we can be inside both characters minds. We get to see Lil being a strong & fierce woman who overcomes many obstacles. We see Max doing whatever it takes to protect & care for those he loves. (Literally anything) . This book was action packed, suspenseful, feisty, heart warming. I loved going back to the beginning and reading about where it it all started, and about the OG’s of the gang!

The darkest one yet! Hence the title but can em & steanfo find their way out of the darkness ? Together they can, once they put all the bs aside. I really like how supportive Stefano is. Also how strong Em is, she might be the strongest woman in this whole series! To endure what she does, and still come out fighting is amazing! This book left me speechless at times, we finally get the closure we need about some pesky rodents who shall not be named. Overall I enjoyed the realness to this one. It’s kind of a overcoming trauma, healing, action packed love story.! Can’t wait for more!!

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, #2)Blood Oath by Amy McKinley

From the very first few pages this book had me in my feels! However I did read these books out of order so I kind of spoiled it for myself. However Amy has a way of sucking you into these stories that I completely reacted like it was new information. Or it felt like I was learning about things and characters for the first time all over again. I did LOVE this couples love story the most so far. They had a tough times & a tough fight! In newer books you get snippets of their relationship but nothing compared to this. Sofia is feisty , spunky, and stands up for herself. Even if she’s small I think she could make any of these grown mafia men cryyy! Safe to say she’s a fan favorite!! Overall story was action packed, lots of drama, some anxietyy for me lol, lots of cute sweet moments, and lots of passionate moments! 10000 stars on this one!!

  1. Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance (Mafia Elite Book 6)Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mafia bad boy with a hefty side of sweet & kindness. Trey is by far the kindest, most down to earth mafia man in the family. [IMO] That’s what stands out the most to me to start about this book. Then we have Hailey who is the bomb! She has the perfect combination of being super fierce, smart, brave, a side of bad@ss-ery, and being strong. Perfect match! They go through roller coasters and some situations but as always the family comes together and they handle what they need to. There was a few moments where I thought, oh I know how this is going to play out, and who is the real
villain, but in the end I was pretty off. So you might think you know but you don’t! This book kept me on my toes, and had me counting down the minutes until I could continue reading it! (When I would be at work). Can’t wait for more!!

Depending On YouDepending On You by Jessica Aiken-Hall
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Actual rating 3.5 stars. This book had a good story line, great characters, and a good plot twist. However it was hard to get into, it felt sort of dry, also timing of the story confused me a bit. I had to go back a few times to see if I had missed or skipped a date in the header etc (but hadn’t). Without spoiling this book also was a bit predictable sometimes, but the main plot twist did surprise me in the end. Some parts also seemed unrealistic like falling in love so quickly but then again that’s young love isn’t it? Overall it was a mildly suspenseful cute little BFF story!

This book was very fast paced. There were multiple parts that made me LOL which i loved. Parts that made me sad for these characters . There were parts that made snort because it was a bit unrealistic. There was one major time/location jump with no context between chapters so that was a bit confusing. So I guess I can say this was a roller coaster of story. Overall a cute short story! Would read more!

A Hundred Wishes (Band of Sisters)A Hundred Wishes by Marianne Rice
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book had me shaking my head in agreement sooo so much! It felt so very relatable, while not for the same reasons but I have had similar fears that Gina faced early on in this book. Relationships, being confident, and being vulnerable is hard. With that being said this book was very refreshing to read. I was hooked and excited to see how this story would pan out. I was constantly rooting for Gina, hoping she would find strength and courage to face all of the challenges that she comes across. She shows us time and time again that she’s a strong independent woman! This book was empowering & made me realize I too should be able to face my own fears and insecurities! In regards to the other characters- they easily bring you in and you feel like you know them. I hadn’t read any of the other previous books but understood and loved most characters right off the bat anyways! Overall it was a really great story, I loved how true and real it was. Lastly Bryce – was a sweet man of a man! A man I think every woman dreams to find someday! Overall rating 4/5 in my book!!
