Falling Down was a quick, enjoyable read. It was filled with tons of delicious sex that should carry a warning that your Kindle might catch fire and combust! Lucy and Jesse are HOT, HOT, HOT!!!! Here’s a quick lowdown…Lucy has had a crush on sexy rock god, Jesse Kingston, since she was a girl. When she and her cousin have a chance to meet him in an airport when the girls are teens, it’s unforgettable for both of them. However, that’s all it is… a quick, friendly encounter in an airport. Fast forward several years later, Lucy is an actress at the top of her game. However, she isn’t happy being an actress and has always wanted to be in a band. So, she’s excited to be in a rock video for a famous band. Little does she know, it’s for Jesse Kingston. When the two meet again, it will be a life-changing event for both personally and professionally.
Jesse and Lucy are one HOT couple; their sex was off the charts!!!! The two have personalities that are opposite to each other, but they share loyalty and love for the ones they care about. Some parts of the story seemed too fast-paced, but I still enjoyed it! I loved the sense of friendship and family. In addition, I loved the delightful twist at the end. I am looking forward to reading the continuation of the story and finding out more about Lucy’s family…there are some secrets there!

A teen crush of a rock band member turns to romance. When Lucy and Sera are waiting for their flight to California, they meet Jesse Kingston, the lead singer of Falling Down. The girls can’t believe Jesse is on the same flight as they are although he’s in first class and they’re in coach. Years later, the girls are hired for a rock video session for Falling Down. The characters we meet in this first book are awesome, talented, fun, and easy to connect with. Many moments throughout the book that had me laughing or giggling. The world the author created is great. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

This book is book one in the Rockstars Series, and I can’t wait to read the rest of them. We first meet Lucy and her cousin, Sera, they are 17 and in an airport waiting for a delayed flight. They never expected to meet a member of their favorite rock band, Jessie Kingston. While Lucy is nervous and confused, Sera handles it well and they all board their flights. Years later, Lucy, who is now an actress, and Sera, who is a model, are slated to work on a music video without knowing who they’re working with. They are surprised to learn that they are working with Jessie and his band. The sparks fly almost immediately, and Lucy and Jessie begin dating, while Sera and Lucy decide to start a whole new career. This is a GHEA with a lot of sex and a good bit of cursing, but also a lot of heart and characters you grow to care a good deal about.

A very good story about a one night stand that turns into a possible love match. But as with every wonderful story, there are issues and obstacles everyone must go through to get what they want. Read this book if you love fire, romance, and witty lines.

This book was good. It will give you a lot of different feels. Lucy has had a crush on Jesse since they were kids. Now she gets the chance to be in his music video as a dancer. Jesse wanted her from the moment he saw her. Will there attraction lead to something more?

Lucy and Jesse had a chance meeting at the airport in Chicago. Jesse was a mega star, lead guitarist/keyboardist/singer of the rock back Falling Down. Lucy had been following the band since their early days and had a major crush on Jesse. They had an instant connection, a spark if you will, but the timing just wasn’t right. Six long years later they meet up again, this time on the set of Falling Down’s newest music video. When Jesse proposes a weekend of no strings attached sex Lucy tries her hardest to keep things strictly professional. When the video wraps she decides that she can’t pass up the opportunity that has been presented. She goes into it knowing that Jesse doesn’t do relationships, but as the weekend progresses things start to change. Will one weekend be enough? I enjoyed this book as well as the characters. I enjoyed Lucy’s mama and her antics because I understood where she was coming from as a mother. If you like angsty rock stars finding true love even though they swear they will be a forever bachelor this is your book.

I love it when you pick up a book by a new-to-you author and feel like you’ve struck gold! That’s exactly how I felt once I began reading Falling Down. This is the first book in the ROCKSTAR series and what an amazing start it has been! I thought the cover looked pretty cute, but once I read the synopsis I knew I had to give it a whirl. The author’s disclaimer had me pulling the book open in no time at all. Lucy and Jesse have a chemistry that rivals some of the best I’ve read, so experiencing their attraction within these pages was steamy! The spicy romance is written well and only adds to the story, it doesn’t carry the plot. I really enjoyed all of the characters and felt rather close to them quite quickly. If you enjoy a steamy rockstar romance, do yourself a favor and start this series off with a bang! I can’t wait to see what else this author has in store because I am all in!

When thinking of what to write for a review for Falling Down I’m torn on what to settle with for a rating, 3-3.5 stars I feel is a good middle point. I adored the MMC, and while I liked Lucy, I wasn’t as in love with her as I should have been. I could relate to her in some things, but others not so much. The chemistry between Jesse and the FMC was strong. I liked the supporting characters as they were just as central to the story as the main characters. Overall it was a good read and I’m interested enough to pick up more in this series.

Lucy’s all time crush Jesse shows up out of the blue an she is head over heels. She gets his autograph just like an other starstruck fan and thinks there is no way she will see him again… Until years later on her own stage, she is face to face with him again. They seem to have the same spark they did years ago. Will they act on it?

This book is a brilliant romantic comedy that really does have you laughing out loud the whole way through. I thought the two main characters in this book were so entertaining. I instantly connected with them and found to be so easy to read about. However, I thought the supporting characters were all just as good. They each added something to the story and made it even better. The overall storyline is the sort of one that is perfect for losing yourself in an afternoon of reading. It is fun, engaging and a joy to read through. I haven’t read much by this author but, after reading this book, I will definitely be reading more!

Jesse is delectable 🥰, he’s like nectar to a bee but his dying is A LOT more pleasant 🤣🙈🔥 and I fully get why Lucy had a hard time resisting his charm and advances 😉
Lucy is pure sunshine , rainbows and happiness but there is a suppressed naught and wild side that needs to come out and play and Jesse is just the catalyst that dude of her persona needs🔥🫣
I loved being part of their story and the other characters were also entertaining especially her mum and the other band members 🤣🙌
If you need a “ just chill and swoon “ read this is the one for you !

I loved the sneak peek into how things like music videos are made and the real goss behind the scenes of the music and video industries. Although a fictionalised version of course, it was a great way to start imagining all the goings on. Plus the whole chemistry aspect between Lucy and Jesse – every girl dreams of growing up to date her rockstar idol don’t they??

This was a good 4 star read. Lucy and Jesse first meet in Chicago and then fate steps in and they come together again a few years later. Jesse is a hot rockstar, so I could easily see why Lucy was so drawn to him. Who wouldn’t be? Jesse is determined to show Lucy how he feels. Overall this was a good read with several great secondary characters. I also had some LOL moments. We get some steaminess, romance and so much more. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I’m not sure what I was thinking when I started to read the book but I’m generally not a fan of rockstar books. This book just flowed and was definitely very believable. I loved the characters….all Of them!!! Lucy is an actress who isn’t following her passion but is following her mom’s passion. Sera is her cousin / sister who is a model. Both have always wanted to join a band but, that just wasn’t in their cards. Lucy has had a full blown crush on the lead singer of Falling Down…Jesse Kingston since forever. She runs into him at an airport when she’s 17 and not only meets him but they walk together to their flight that is boarding. 6 years later they see eachother again when Sera and Lucy and dancers for their video. Jesse and of course Lucy remember eachother and get to talking. The video takes a few days to film and when it’s over, Jesse promises he’s going to get Lucy in his bed. Lucy is a good girl, he’s used to groupies and one night stands. What good can come from these two hooking up aside From Lucy’s dream coming true?
Jesse is far from the womanizing, groupie loving rockstar. He’s definitely been having a soft spot for Lucy.
So much happens in this book and it’s seriously hot and sooo soo good!!!

This is the first book in the Rockstar Series. This is a rockstar romance which is full of chemistry and sizzle. The characters were likeable however at times I wasn’t as full invested in the couples story has I should be which was a bit of a shame for me, however I did enjoy the story overall.
This is a story of how two people met at random and that one meeting impacts them. Lucy has had a schoolgirl crush on Jesse for years and when she meets him at the airport she can’t believe her luck. The meeting feels awkward but things change when they meet years later. Lucy is now a famous actress and when she is set to perform in a music video she doesn’t realise it is for Jesse’s band. As they spend time together sparks start fly and when Jesse suggests they spend the weekend together Lucy jumps at the chance. However what will happen when what should have been a weekend of wild fun turns into something more. When Jesse realises that Lucy is the one will she be brave enough to put her heart on the line or will her past experiences stop her from taking a chance of the guy she has always wanted.
This is a very steamy story and some of the language and scenes maybe a little too steamy for some readers. Parts of the story felt a little awkward which for me spoils the story a little bit. Overall it was an ok read if you like rockstar romances with a bad boy who likes to talk dirty. Me personally I didn’t feel as invested in the characters as I would have liked to but it was still an enjoyable read.

Lucy met Jesse by chance as a teenage fangirl of the band “falling down” – Jesse was her “crush” and she fantasised about becoming Mrs Jesse Kingston…. Does this become a reality ? You will need to read the book to find out.
This is the first book I have read by Anne and it wont be the last – Lots of hot sex scenes to spice things up.

An enjoyable and engaging lighthearted romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Lucy has had a crush on the gorgeous bad boy rockstar Jesse Kingston since they briefly met years before. When they meet again and Jesse suggests they spend a weekend together Lucy decides to indulge her fantasies. However, one weekend may not be enough for either of them. This is a fun, flirty romance with plenty of humour and laugh out loud moments. The chemistry between Lucy and Jesse sizzles off the page and leads to some rather steamy scenes. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Lucy- actress, model, can play instruments and sing… Has family in the mafia that keeps her safe. Everything is basically handed to her on a silver platter with no hard work put in.
Jesse- a rockstar who Lucy has had a crush on since 7th grade.
Lucy is a fan girl of Jesse, literally even when she is 23 she still acts like a teenager around him. She meets him in an airport and gets his autograph and then years (6) later she is a dancer in one of his music videos. Even though they had only met that once he still remembered her and her name… weird…. She has no control over her emotions and even though she is some big actress she doesn’t know how to act normally around other stars?
I get this is fiction, really I do, but this book has no plot and doesn’t seem realistic AT ALL… which makes it harder to even relate with the MC and get sucked into the book.
Crush since 7th grade. Even reasoned with her cousin when they started seeing each other how she had been fantasizing about him since she was 12. MFC is 23 but never says how old the MMC is… is this an age gap romance? Any girl Jesse has slept with in the past are all “sluts” and “whores”… childish much? Oh wait, it gets better… any female who is not a family member are “sluts” and “whores” *Insert eye roll here* Somehow throws a band together and makes an album in 10 days? I get it her rockstar boyfriend called in some favors to help her… but 10 days?!?! Okay! Plus so much more! The sex scenes aren’t that great, so if you came for the smut this is not the one for you.
This book is a quick read but I just didn’t like it at all. I was trying to find another rockstar story to love like the first one I read… and this one just isn’t it! I will not be reading any of the other books in this series.

Falling Down is a well written spicy romance story that has a killer soundtrack that I highly recommend you play along to feel the rockstar vibe throughout this book.
Jesse is a mega hot rockstar that the main character, Lucy has crushed over since being a pre-teen. A chance meeting in a Chicago airport when she’s in her late teens proves to be a bit overwhelming but also a kismet moment. Sparks fly but the timing is all off so both go on with their lives; his as a rockstar and she becomes a Hollywood actress.
Years later she finds herself fresh off the set of a new movie and finding the acting gig has lost its luster. While she and her sister meet to do a surprise music video gig with a music producer friend, they find themselves once again face to face with Mr Rockstar himself and his band.
I think the book flows rather well making this an easy to read book that romance fans will thoroughly enjoy, spice and all.

I seriously wish I could read this one for the first time all over again. Now Jesse and Lucy are definitely two main characters that have chemistry coming over the pages. I love their back and forth with each other. But I think it should also be mentioned that the friendship between Lucy and Sera is one I won’t forget. I love the relationship between them. Seriously all the characters in this story were great I really connected with them and that’s not easy sometimes. The storyline was smoothly written with a nice pace and characters you can’t help but love. Id recommend one clicking this book fast. Looking forward to reading more from this author. 4 Stars Falling Down (The Rockstar Series) by Anne Mercier
Falling Down is the first book in The Rockstar Series and is a Contemporary Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you’ve finished. I’m a huge fan of Rockstar Romance and this one definitely checks all the boxes. This is a fairly new author to me but I’m definitely a fan of their style of writing and attention to detail. The characters are developed and relatable and bring the story to life. The chemistry between them is electric and off the charts. Some moments had me over here fan girling and others had me shaking my head. What will happen when what was supposed to be just a fun and games turns into way more? He wants everything but can she handle all he has to offer? Can they have a happy ending? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this series and this author.

Lucy has had a crush on the lead singer of Falling Down, Jesse Kingston for years. One lucky moment gets her an autograph and years later she is one of the models in Falling Down’s new music video. Jesse is attracted to Lucy, Lucy feels the same but neither are looking for commitment with their chaotic schedules. As they get closer will they be able to let other each other go?
I really enjoyed this one, going to seek out the next book. I thought this was pure entertainment and the chemistry between Jesse and Lucy is undeniable. Filled with humorous moments that kept me turning the pages.

This was a fun and entertaining read. This story pulled me right in with great characters, laughter, music, talent, steamy moments and more. There was chemistry between Jesse and Lucy the first time they met and neither one forgot that even though there is quite some time before they run into each other again. Lucy is a huge fan of Falling Down, the band that Jesse is the lead singer of. She has had a major crush on Jesse for as long as she can remember. Lucy has amazing talent as a singer but she has been acting because that is what her mom has wanted her to do and for a long time she thought that’s what she wanted as well. I don’t want to give anything away. If you want to find out what happens between these two and find out if Lucy makes a career change, then you will want to dive right into this book. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I recommend this book.

Luciana “Lucy” Russo and Serafina “Sera” Manzini were fans of the rock music band Falling Down. At 17, Lucy and Sera were in a Chicago airport waiting for a flight when Sera spotted Jesse. She drags Lucy over to the rock star. Jesse spends time with the two girls. When he takes a personal picture with Lucy, their flight is called. Jesse and Lucy look into each other’s eyes and feel something between them spark. Parting ways, Lucy and Sera start their lives with memories of their encounter.
Six years later, Lucy was a successful and famous actress. Lucy and Sera have agreed to do a music video job that Cage Nichols was directing. After both girls were ready for filming, both went to the staging area. Seeing the band’s equipment, the girls borrow some of the equipment. Not paying attention to their surroundings, the girls don’t realize that the members of Falling Down and Cage have arrived. Everyone is impressed by their amazing talent. Jesse remembers both girls and introduces them to the remaining band members.
The first day of filming has finished. Lucy and Sera were relaxing in the dressing room when the band entered. Jesse tells Lucy that he intends on having sex with her by the time they are done with filming. That evening, the girls go to a club to blow off steam. Lucy sees Jesse, and they start dancing together. When other people begin taking their pictures and filming the intimate way they are dancing, Lucy’s bodyguard interrupts them. Paparazzi were en route to the club.
Sera and Lucy have been collaborating about forming their own band. They had both dreamed of being musicians. When they approach Cage about the idea, Jesse and Xander overhear the conversation. Taking a break from being a movie actress, Lucy expects backlash from her mother, Regina. She is not shocked when Regina claims she is throwing away her fame and profitable career.
Lucy had always wanted to spend a night with Jesse, believing he wanted a fling as well. Jesse’s reputation as a playboy is well known. Agreeing to go to dinner with Jesse, Lucy is surprised by his devoted attention. Dinner turns into something more intimate at Jesse’s house. What Lucy doesn’t know is that the spark from six years ago threatens to consume them.
Falling Down is the first book in the Rockstar series by Anne Mercier. The best way to describe the plot is by comparing it to a spark building into an inferno. Lots of steamy scenes for the romance fans while still having a story of personal growth for Lucy and Jesse. The Chicago mafia ties to the girls lingering around the edges. The character development for each person was beyond exceptional. The clear changes in perspective between Jesse and Lucy are easy to follow. The vivid details make it easy to envision each scene clearly. Mercier didn’t make Lucy, Sera, and the group of Falling Down infallible. This made it easy to find their actions and thoughts relatable, a trait that I admired. I have nothing negative to say about this amazing story and look forward to continuing the series.

Falling Down is the first book in the Rockstar series by Anne Mercier. The story starts when teenage Lucy bumps into her ultimate crush rockstar Jesse in the airport, the two instantly connect but then get on their flights separately. Fast forward a few years and Lucy is a successful, if a bit unhappy, Hollywood star. When she takes on a job as a dancer for a music video she didn’t know that it would change the course of her career, and life in general. Jesse is shocked when he sees the girl from his past rocking out using his guitar and the whole band decide to take the girls under their wing. The story that follows is like a fairy tale with the heroes reaching for their dreams and finding their true loves. I liked this book, it was a nice read but the characters were not the easiest to relate to. I would recommend to romance fans.

The first time Lucy meets her childhood crush (you know…the one we all had growing up) at the airport, she isn’t sure what do or say. Fast forward, Lucy is grown up now and she and her sister are going do a music video with Falling Down…and her longtime crush, Jesse Kingston. Jesse feels the spark roar to life when Lucy is in the room. He wants just one weekend with her…but will that be enough?
What ensues is a story of following your dream…and your heart. It is a reminder of what you can accomplish when you have the support of everyone around you. I loved the characters and found myself unable to put it down. It was funny, romantic, and H-O-T hot! Anne Mercier is an author I have read in the past and they have blown me away again with this story! Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Lucy’s life was one that so many dreamed of as a kid. To meet your favorite musician and to make it big in Hollywood. She achieved both by her early/mid 20’s, she could never have thought the two would cross over.
Jesse the lead singer of Falling Down has been on top for a long time. Had his share of women and lots of success. He goes in with his band to shoot a video and walks away with so much more.
This was a nice break from the books where they don’t communicate and end up breaking up for some stupid reason that could have been avoided if they had just spoken with one another.
The intimate scenes were worth reading slowly so I didn’t miss a word. I also developed some shower envy for Jesse’s shower.
I’m fully invested with these characters and plan on working my way through the series as quickly as I can.

I absolutely loved Falling Down!! The author sucked me in immediately with the way the book was written. What are the chances the guy you’ve been lusting over is the guy you met at the airport as well? This book to me is the gift that keeps on giving. Now it’s your turn to find out. Luci is determined and driven but stuck in a job she doesn’t love. With a chance to vent to get things off her chest, Sera has no reason not to love. Well maybe the disconnect being she’s being forced and needs to hear both. She is her best friend after all. Which means she also knows what Falling Down’s lead singer Jesse does to Luci. What happens when they end up in the same room? She’s here! Jesse wants his one who got away. There’s more to her than being a hot actress. He knows they are connected, he just needs to convince her of that very thing. Working together seemed the opportune time. However when she makes an announcement, how will it impact what he wants? Career changes can be difficult. New potential relationships could be causality, well he needs to convince her otherwise first. Will they weather the storm? Does he finally get the girl? All that and so so so so much more during this wonderful book. If you like fun rockstar romantic comedies, this is definitely the book for you!!
