I have read several books by Ariana Talix and I truly have enjoyed each and every one. She writes fantastic plots and adds in more than just spice to her stories. These three characters are all so very well developed and are so perfectly complicated. I loved watching the three of them interact and I loved the addition of their dogs. I HEA at the end really made the whole journey worth it!

When I saw this I couldn’t help but scream “ SIGN ME Up“ I’m like the HIG queen 😉🤗 and hello it was released on HUG DAY 😉🤗

So I got more than I bargained for and that’s not a bad thing especially if you like MMF 😉

Weston has had a rough time of late and he’s basically left with the roof over his head but desperate times call for desperate measures and he needs to find himself some housemates to keep said roof over his head …..

Interviews start and there’s 2 promising candidates and it would seem more boxes are being ticked than just housemates 🔥😉

Petra and her 4 legged family member are licking their wounds after walking away from a relationship and they need a roof over their head and space to breathe ,heal and do her writing

Callum can cook so I’d take him in on that alone 🤣he’s looking to make his way on life and in his career and I don’t think he was bargaining on the distraction of his housemates ……

These 3 special peeps and their canines kept me well entertained 🤣😉❣️📚

I am absolutely speechless after reading this book! I have enjoyed each book from this author, but this is definitely my favorite thus far! While this MMF read has plenty of steam and spiciness throughout the story, the author has also crafted a marvelous plot and well-developed characters as well. I giggled out loud at this book, but also felt like throwing it in anger at some points. The three main characters, Weston, Callum, and Petra are incredibly loveable and people you feel like would be great friends in real life. I’m also a dog lover, so obviously the fact that dogs are sprinkled throughout the book help a bit. There are a couple of characters that I have no lost love for, but they are minor and play their part well. I absolutely love the fact that the story is told from multiple points of view as you get a better feel for each character as they speak their mind. I highly recommend this book if you love spicy romances in the MMF genre! I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next!

Group Hug is not a bad read however my personal thoughts are that the spice over powered what could have been an actual storyline! Don’t get me wrong spice is great but when it overpowers everything including the story itself it can be toned down. Many parts felt forced and lack the unison a book should flow with.
I did really enjoy the multiple points of view. I also liked the potential that was there!

This book is so much fun! This is actually the first MMF story that I have felt drawn to ready, and I’m glad I did! It is for mature readers, but I did not find the sexy parts distracting or over-gratuitous at all. The characters are unique and well-developed and the way they intertwine makes the story compelling and relatable. Weston, Petra, and Callum find themselves as roommates, and the reader gets to watch the chemistry brew until it bubbles over. To be totally honest, I chose the book because of the cover – because dogs – and, boy, was I ever pleasantly surprised and swept off my feet! I am intrigued by this author and am glad I picked this up. I highly recommend this book even if it’s not something you would normally reach for.

⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐ Book Review

“Life is always better with dogs in it.” I was originally sold on the cover alone for this novel. Then I noticed the novel was dedicated to Willow and I knew this novel was meant to be. Group Hug is a MMF romance that is full of fun, laughter, and spunk. Weston, Callum, and Petra will send you on an emotional roller coaster ride: from laughing, to crying, to cursing out loud. This novel is full of tense moments and knock-your-socks-off romance scenes. This was my first time reading a novel written by Arielle Talix and it definitely will not be my last. I enjoyed her writing style. Her characters were down to earth and relatable. I loved the side characters: Gus, Dave, and Goliath. They added the final touches to this novel. I highly recommend this novel to a mature audience who love a good romance story, and of course dogs!

This book took me a few chapters to really sink into. I loved the characters right away but the storyline seemed forced and I’m not sure if I’m explaining that clearly but it made it hard for me to really fall into the story. But please if you find yourself in the same place give it time please because trust me this author will soon have you completely captured. I absolutely loved the relationship between Petra, Callum and Weston they might actually be some of my very favorite characters this year. There’s plenty of spice in this book but it’s not overly done in my opinion it’s a sprinkle of spice which was nicely done. There’s bits of suspense thrown into the mix. It may have taken me a couple chapters to really dig in but once I did I was really excited for each new page. Five stars and highly recommended.

Wes is a psychologist who does virtual visits from within his home. His home was left to him by his grandfather, whom Wes lost just 2 months ago. They were close and Wes has been struggling with depression and motivation in the aftermath. After having so many bills come through it practically knocks him back into reality, he makes a decision to post that he’s looking for a roommate to keep his home and that they must love dogs, he rapidly gets messages immediately from both Callum and Petra, and decides to schedule them both that day to check out the house.

Callum appears first and Wes immediately finds himself attracted to him, although it’s been a few years since he thought that “phase” of his life was over. Whatever, he’s just trying to keep his house and get back in control of things. As he’s speaking with Callum, Petra walks up and they immediately all find each other…interesting. While giving them both a tour in order to decide on who will be the lucky winner, Petra and Callum both claim rooms, and Wes figures, “Why not?”. In addition to both new roommates, Petra brings her dog to join in on the fun of the new roommate life.

Callum is a new chef with goals in mind and one of the new goals happens to be to get to know his new roommates better! It’s a real win with a trained chef in the home, especially when he looks as delicious as Callum does. Petra is a ghostwriter with a lot of ideas in her head thanks to her years of writing. After a breakup she needed a place to stay, and what is safer than a house of 3 fantastic dogs and a couple of hunks?

The three of them each have their own baggage, but don’t we all? This read is a lot of fun, has some heat, has some emotion, has lots of laughs, and WONDERFUL DOGS to boot!

This book was fabulous. I enjoyed the humor, the steam, the banter, the friendship, the love, the relationship, there wasn’t much I didn’t love about this book. It is only getting 4 stars because the long-lost father coming in and saving the trio was too cheesy for me. It was wonderful for Petra to find him and him be everything she needed. It was just a little too much cheese for me.

Petra needs a new place to live. Callum needs a new place to live. Weston is tired of being alone and needs help paying the bills. Petra and Callum were the first people to answer Weston’s ad for a roommate. Weston really only needs one roommate, but who can resist the hunky Callum and the spunky Petra, especially with her pooch Gus.

As the friendship builds between the three roommates, the attraction also builds. The attraction gets brought to the forefront one day when Callum walks in on Petra and Weston kissing. Callum gets jealous. The three roommates have a discussion and discover that the attraction is mutual. The steam starts slow with cuddling on the couch watching movies to kissing and petting, then moves to more. So much more!!! It was beautiful. Each exploring and trying new things.

When each partner faces an obstacle, the others band together. Petra gets hit doubly hard. Weston and Callum are there supporting her with each trial.

Again, a beautiful story about finding family and love.

Romance and dogs are on top of my list of things that will help me enjoy a book. This book had both of those and a lot of spice. If you don’t enjoy M/M/F then stop here, it will not be the book for you.

Callum, Weston & Petra were right together from the very beginning in my opinion. They just had that vibe that worked.

They all gave their back stories and I feel that Petra’s had the most potential to be a bigger part of the book and was a little disappointed that wasn’t explored more but it didn’t make me like the book any less.

This is the first time I have read anything by Ms. Talix and sincerely hope it’s not the last.

Group Hug by Ariella Talix. This is a M/M/F romance that is fun and sexy. Weston is in a pickle and if he doesn’t do something soon he’s going to lose his house. He decides to run a ad in the paper for a roommate to help offset costs. When Callum gets out of chef school he’s kind of at a loss as to where to start to get his life going. He answers Weston’s ad and is happily accepted as a roommate. Then along comes Petra who is getting out of a very bad, unhappy relationship and needs new scenery and when she meets Callum & Weston they are the perfect scenery. Hot and handsome! The attraction between the three is immediate and hot scenes commence. Petra is a romance writer and helps them guide thru this trio and sets them on the path to romance. Each one of these individuals brings something cool to the table and to see them make each other better is so fun. I really enjoyed this steamy read!

This book was a bit slow to start with the individual main character introductions but once you get a tad further into the book you realise that all the background information was a necessity to set the rest of the book up.

This is the love story of Petra,Weston and Callum who meet because Petra and Callum want to rent rooms in Weston’s home.

Soon enough though they turn the attraction that they have for each other into a ménage. Starts with couch snuggles and ends in some great sex scenes and love marriage and happily ever after.

Along the way there are a few plot twists and turns with Petra’s family but you will just need to read the book to find out. This is definitely a page turner.

Wow! Who knew posting for a roommate would turn into a steamy romance?! Besides the love story, there is more to this book as well. I fell in love with the characters almost from the beginning. Weston needs a roommate to help cover the costs on his newly inherited house. What he doesn’t expect is two roommates or being attracted to them both! Petra and Callum are both very lovable characters. There so much more I want to know about all three of them. I really enjoyed how this wasn’t just a mmf romance book. There’s much more of a plot then I first imagined and I will be looking for more books by this author. Highly recommend this book!

This book is for mature audiences only. It had a great plot and storyline, the dogs in the book were just so adorable, and the characters were easy to fall in love with. Weston comes in as the owner of the house looking for at least one roommate, someone who must love dogs. Two people showed up for the room just about at the same time, and both loved dogs. We get to meet Petra and Callum right from the start of the book, each with their own story of what’s going on in their lives. As for Petra, I was intrigued by the mystery that was unfolding with her ex-fiancé and his friend and was scared that she would have a horrible accident, thank goodness the guy got what he deserved. Callum has such a fun, big family, who I fell in love with immediately, and who were so supportive of his hopes and dreams of being the best chef ever. Weston was someone who listens to people’s problems for a living, what a great combination adding in two new roommates, and Petra’s dog Gus would be. This story took some crazy twists and turns that I was not expecting but does have such a great ending.

For each of these characters, the book starts with new beginnings in a general sense and exciting one as well! Weston, who owns the home, has lost everything and needs to rebuild with what has been left for him. He searches for a roommate and ends up with two unexpected and attractive perspectives, Petra and Callum. Instantly, there is a connection between each of them in many that least expect. Petra, a writer, is in tow with her sweet, playful golden retriever who needs a new home urgently. Then, there is Callum, a recent college graduate and up and coming chef, is breaking out for his adult life living situation as he embarks his start in the professional world. After they move in and they start learning more about each other, it eases the tensions and they start to explore one another. It is such a great dynamic between the three of them. Steamy scenes can only unravel from such a situation.

When life took an unexpected turn, leaving Weston with expenses he could not pay, he decided to rent out a couple of rooms to make ends meet. Enter Callum, a bisexual chef , looking to be closer to work and Petra, who needs out of an unhealthy leaving situation. None are looking for love, but sometimes you find it when you least expect it
Talix is an amazing job developing the characters, even the 🐶’s! The storyline was well written. I had a hard time putting this book down. If you are into MMF, I would recommend it. I can’t wait to pick up another book by Talix.

Group Hug is a polyamorous romance novel. Callum and Petra move into the home Weston inherited when he realises he needs to rent out a room or two to stay on top of his mortgage. Their mutual attraction is immediate, and it’s only a matter of time before they work out how to navigate a relationship that suits everyone’s needs and desires.

I particularly enjoy the cosy domestic scenes – sharing meals (Callum’s excellent cooking is described in mouth-watering detail), snuggling up to watch movies and so on. The dogs are a great part of the story, often relieving the tension or providing something for characters to bond over.

Petra is a ghostwriter and has researched and written polyamory in the past, so is on hand to provide definitions of different terminology (eg why this is an MMF book rather than MFM) and suggestions for things they can try in the bedroom. This may be helpful for readers who are less familiar with this.

Another great thing about this book is the inclusion of the characters’ families. Weston has lost his family, and Petra has a difficult relationship with hers, but Callum has a big and loving family who are fun to read about!

This book gets four stars from me. I’d recommend it to fans of romance who are open to reading about a caring and supportive polyamorous relationship.

In this MMF romance, three is not a crowd, it’s just right! Ariella Talix is a first time author for me, but I was intrigued by the synopsis. I jumped head first into Group Hug and I’m really glad I did. Fate and a touch of desperation bring the main characters together as roommates. Weston, Callum, and Petra, along with their lovable canine companions are pleasantly thrust together. This book has just the right amount of spice along with romance, humor, and a touch of fear, heartache, and loss. There were moments that shocked me, moments that angered me, and moments where I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. The characters were pretty realistic, believable, and definitely lovable and I found myself fully invested in their relationship and happiness with one another. Ariella Talix’s world building was spot on. I could see the layout of Weston’s house in Carmel in my mind, picture the Chicago landscape, and feel the love and affection between the main characters. I can’t wait to read more books by Ariella Talix!

Ariella really can write incredibly. Her specialty is MMF and she does it well. Her storylines are interesting and well written. The spice is great and everything flows well together. I’ve read Ariella’s historical fiction but this was a more modern story that had a guy looking for a roommate but two roommates show up. They hit it off pretty quickly. The three of them had their own issues but were able to work things out and overcome everything together. I liked reading in the multiple viewpoints, not to mention the doggos. It was a fun read.

There are some twists that I didn’t see coming and quite a range of emotions throughout this quick read. I found myself rooting for their happy ending! The author did an amazing job with this genre. And the epilogue at the end…a great way to wrap up the book!
