Wildfire (The Broken Bow Book 2)
By Ashley A Quinn

I became completely invested in this book and the characters within. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. There were times in this story I was on the edge of my seat. There were a few twists and turns I didn’t see coming. The author did an excellent job in weaving a story full of emotion, suspense, healing, hope, romance, family, and wonderful characters. Tara and Jace have been through so much already and now someone is watching Tara. The attraction between these two is evident but can Tara deal with her past and be able to move on? Will Jace and Seb be able to find out who’s following Tara in time? To find this out and more this is a must read. I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait to read what’s next.

I anticipated liking this book but wasn’t quite prepared for the emotional journey it took me on. I immediately connected to Tara and Jace and fell head first into their story. The author did a beautiful job creating their story and their backgrounds and building a wonderful foundation for this tale to take off from. Loved every page.

Wildfire book 2 in the broken bow series by Ashley A Quinn. In this book Tara returns home and she is hurt by the past. She is recovering from her past when she runs into Jace Travers. Jace is everthing that scares her!! Or is he? I think once she gets to know Jace a little more she releases he is what she wants. Jace also has a bad past and moved so he can start healing. I loved everthing about Tara and her family they are loving and just all around great people to read about. The way Ashley describes Jace also attracts you to his character as well. I look forward to reading book 3 in this series. I want to learn more about the characters in this series. Thank you Ashley A Quinn for writing this wonderful series i look forward to reading more by you 🙂

Wildfire by Ashley A Quinn a great four-star read. This is number two in the Broken Bow books, but it doesn’t matter if you haven’t read the first story, I hadn’t and didn’t feel lost, it appears that each story is about a different couple as the main focus so you’re okay. Tara Miler was a great character, she was one that I would follow through any story, the suspense in this story is immense and will keep you on your toes, it could do with another run through the editor but honestly if you overlook that it is a very compelling story. Both Tara and Jace have faced loss and it is done well, it’s not they loved they lost and their happy again, there is real drama there. Then you have the mystery that keeps moving, and it just makes this a winning story.

When you have tried to put the past behind you, a chance meeting can turn your world around but is that a good thing.

Tara has travelled the world and has finally decided to return home with her family. One day when in her restaurant she walks a face from the past and although she tries not to fall for the smile and the quirk of his lips but nothing can stop her falling for Jace Travers.

Jace has had his troubles and heartache through the years, but he is hoping that the new surroundings and job will help him heal and move forward. He does not accept a delightful past to be staring at him when he walks into the restaurant, will he be able to past behind him and have some happiness.

This is the first time I have read anything by this author and let me tell you she is now on my to read list. This story is full of action, thrilling suspense and of course a romance running through it to add to the well written and developed story. The story weaves into intrigue with some angst and emotion running through.

Once I started reading, I could not put the book down and must admit I had a late session to finish off the book. The characters are brilliantly written and compliment each other perfect, with the addition of the secondary characters giving the story a great depth. If you enjoy a good thriller with a hint of love then this is the book for you.

I can’t wait to read the first book in this series and this is on my kindle ready to go, can’t wait to see the next instalment and see where this series goes too. Ashley Quinn you have a new fan in me.

I just had to get my hands on this book the moment I saw the cover. Ashley A Quinn is a new author to me, but I can assure this is not going to be the last novel I read by her. I cannot wait to go back and read book one of this series as soon as possible. Wildfire is the second book in The Broken Bow series but not reading book one yet was not a hindrance to this story at all.

Wildfire far exceeded all my expectations and then some. Quinn darn near set my kindle on fire with this romance and the drama and mystery that is woven through it. I adored Tara and Jace and together they were even more formidable. They just had to figure that out for themselves. I won’t give one single juicy detail away because this is one you just have to experience for yourself. You will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to get my hands on book three too!

Wildfire (The Broken Bow Book 2) by Ashley A Quinn. This is the second book in the The Broken Bow series and it was just as good if not better than the second. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. You don’t have to read the first book to get this one but I always feel like it helps you enjoy the next book so much better. This is the story of Tara who wants to leave her past in the past and move on with her life. She wants to open her new restaurant and it is helping her to heal with some stuff. Jace who is also dealing with the loss of his family accepts a job as Chief Deputy Sheriff in Silver Gap, Colorado. He meets Tara and automatically wants to know more about her. Not really wanting a relationship but she’s made an impression on him. Tara is smitten with Jace as well. He’s handsome, nice, caring but she knows she’s in no way ready for a relationship. When Tara’s past comes to haunt her and Jace steps in to help their feelings get all mixed in. Will they be able to forget the past and move on with each other? Read Wildfire to find out!

When I downloaded Wildfire, I was so intrigued and excited about the synopsis that I completely overlooked it was the second book in Ashley A. Quinn’s Broken Bow series. Despite this, the book was fantastic and not once did I feel anything but at home within it’s pages. The characters were fantastic and the suspense element to the storyline kept me turning pages. This was the first I have read by Ashley A. Quinn, but I look forward to going back and reading the first book, and likely rereading this one. I always love to get every little bit of a book series, I feel like I know the characters personally when I was there from the beginning. If you’re looking for a 5 star contemporary romance with an edge of your seat suspense element, Wildfire is definitely for you.

Tara Miller is a woman with a lot on her plate, she has her own restaurant in the town of and when she isn’t there, she is working on the family ranch, the Broken Bow, or her truck and it is in the middle of doing this when she sees the new deputy sheriff moving into her brother’s place next door, as he distracts her with his good looks and a body to match, but she doesn’t want to think about that, she doesn’t want to think about him and how her body reacts to him, instead when he comes over to lend a hand, she blows him off. After she finishes, showers and gets ready, she heads to her best friend’s coffee shop before heading to the restaurant to prepare for the evening’s service, some caffeine and Macy’s crazy attitude is just what she needs to take her mind off of a certain man, because of the feelings his type bring back up, she doesn’t want to think of the past and how it can’t let it repeat itself. She gets what she needs as well as a grilling over said certain man and couple of unwanted messages, one from her past job and one from her current one, she ignores the first and stresses about the current one, so she is inspired to go and get some local produce when her ordered ones don’t arrive, so she goes to get the produce and is grilled about Jace again while collecting it all, as soon as she has everything she needs, she heads over to her restaurant.

Meanwhile, Jace is unpacking the boxes of stuff from his old apartment, there isn’t much, but it is enough, he is thinking about the circumstances around his move, but it is the woman next door who his thoughts eventually turn to, he can’t understand why she doesn’t ;ole him, but he is determined to change her mind. He decides to go and visit the rest of the family who live on the ranch and let them know that he has moved in, over tea, they talk about the reason he moved there, as well as talking about both his and Tara’s past and he can’t really believe how similar their stories are, but he doesn’t want to think about that, so he decides to go and explore the ranch some more, so he borrows a horse and goes for a ride to clear his head. When he gets back to the barn and settles the horse back down, he senses that he is someone is in the barn with him, however, when he goes to look, there is nobody there, but he can’t shake the feeling that he is being watched.

Later on in the evening as Tara gets home from work, she is about to run herself a bath and put some oil in it, but as she reaches for the bath oil, she notices that it is in the wrong place and that on closer inspection, there are a lot of other things which are only just out of place, in fact, it is in every room of her house, she is very disturbed by this and so calls Jace to come over to her house and check it over, when she does, she is not expecting him to answer in just his joggers and that makes him even harder to resist, but she is too worried to dwell on it and it turns out that there has been a break in and the back door has been tampered with, so Jace insists on staying overnight on the couch to keep her company so she feels more secure. The next day a family meeting is called to discuss what has happened and to see whether it has happened anywhere else on the ranch, when a plan is formulated and everyone knows what they need to do, things go back to normal, that is until it happens again, but this time Tara is home.

As things escalate and become more dangerous, things also escalate between Jace and Tara, but can either of them let the other in and share the secrets of their past, or will they let those secrets come between them? This is a romance which is peppered with familial love, mysteries and danger, it is as unpredictable as its namesake and will keep you guessing right up until the end, but will those doing the hunting stop at nothing to get what they are after, or will the mystery be solved before anyone gets hurt?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read by this author and I have really enjoyed it. It is a story filled with heartbreak, mystery, and a smoking hot connection between the characters. Both the main characters have really sad and heartbreaking back stories which has helped to make them more real and more rounded as a character.

Tara has moved back home. After her husband was killed in action she gave up her life as a photojournalist and moved back to her family home town where she opens a restaurant. Even after all this time Tara doesn’t feel ready to move on. She has never had interest in anyone else. That is until her new neighbour Jace  came along.

Jace  has moved to be away from his memories. After losing all his family to a boating accident he needed to get away and start fresh. One thing making things more pleasant for him is his neighbour Tara.

There is no denying the connection and the attraction between them but both of their pasts are still impacting their futures. When Taras house gets repeatedly broken into Jace feel like he needs to protect her, but who is he protecting her from? Can they move forward and build a relationship together? Will their pasts hold them back? And who is breaking into Tara’s House? Is it someone from her past?

I love discovering a new-to-me author whose work immediately pulls me into their story which then sparks to life before my eyes- their words able to block out the ‘real world’ while ensuring that I am fully engaged and invested in their creation. Well, Wildfire by Ashley A. Quinn was all that and more- an unexpected little gem of a story that has left me with a taste for more of her work. I can feel the beginnings of an addiction forming. Her work reminds me of Ann Voss Peterson’s books.
This is the second book in The Broken Bow series, and I have already gone back to purchase book one to read next- as well as pre-ordering the upcoming book in the series.
While there were a few issues to find through the story, such as character name changes and wrong words used- they were quite minor and in the end they didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the story.
This is primarily a romantic suspense- with plenty of danger, suspense, drama, intrigue, angst and emotion. But this is also a story of second chances, new beginnings, secrets, chemistry, connection, family, friendships- and more. Weave in the disturbing ‘stalker’ aspect, as well as the clever twists and turns- and this story became un-put-down-able. I was so absorbed by the story that I read it in one sitting- as I really needed to know how everything played out in the end. It has definitely left me wanting more- in a great way. So now I really can’t wait to devour the rest of the series!
I was going to go into the story and give you a bit of a rundown on what to expect- but I think I will let you discover all the appeal for yourself- as I am sure you are going to enjoy it just as mush as I have.
Highly recommended!

Thank you, Ashley A. Quinn!

This is a good story. This is a romantic suspense book. I liked following along with the characters lives as they struggle to get over the past. Jace is a wonderful character. He has a lot of nice traits that appeal to readers as well as Tara. Tara is a struggle at times I’m not sure if she is over her husband or not. Anyway their first meeting is sweet as well as their first kiss.

The family is awesome! I enjoyed each of them and I will like watching them get their own stories. I didn’t know much about the family since I haven’t read book one. I didn’t feel lost as certain events were described nicely for me to comfortably follow along.

I read the sneak peek at the end of the book and look forward to reading the next in the series.

This is my first book by Ashley Quinn. I didn’t realize this was a book 2 before I started reading. I couldn’t stop reading once I started and LOVED this story. Ashley Quinn has a way with word building and creating great stories and characters. I WISH I had realized there was a first book, but you can bet your last dollar I’m headed to that book now. I loved these characters and can’t wait for more of the stories that come with them. This one was Tara and Jace’s story. It was full of healing after a severe tragedy. Found myself a new favorite author and a great new series to be obsessed with!

Wow! Ashley A Quinn definitely spins quite the tale! There is the base romance storyline but also the mystery and suspense! I was reading this late one night after hubby had gone to bed and that was maybe not the best idea when reading scenes about a stalker crafted by a master author like Ashley! This was the first of her books I have read but now want to go and read #1 in this series and go from there!

This is the first time I am reading a book written by this author. The characters and story is well written and I really liked it from the beginning. The two main characters had great chemistry and you can tell they are working hard to forget or move on from their past. Will their love help them through it or hinder them? Between the romance and the intrigue make the book engaging. I’m sure many readers will enjoy this book.

This is my first book by this author which I enjoyed from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more from her in the future. This is a well developed romance story that I was pulled in right from the beginning. The characters are connectable and engaging as they brought the story to life. They made the story easy to read and entertaining. This is a story about Tara. She just wants to put her past in the past and be able to move on and heal. As she opens up a new restaurant, she finally starts to heal. Then he walks into her life and things start to happen. Jace just needs a change and heals from the loss of his family. Taking on a new job is a start. When he meets Tara, he wants to know more about her. What will fate have in store for them? When the past comes crashing into the present, how will things change. I really enjoyed this story and characters. They made the story for me and I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next with them.

Wildfire (The Broken Bow Book 2) by Ashley A. Quinn and is a contemporary romance with suspense thrown into the mix. It is an engaging and well written story with strong characters. It is an emotional read that is both intriguing and gripping and I found myself fully immersed and lost in the story. All she wants is to put down roots and leave the past behind but just when things seem on the up the ugly past comes crashing back to the fore. He is trying to forget his past and start a fresh and he may have just found the one person to help him on his way.

This was an engaging and emotional romantic suspense which had me gripped from the first page. Main character Tara Miller is home again after years away travelling the world and she’s determined to put her painful past behind her but she’s being stalked. With the distraction of her family and a new restaurant Tara finally feels she is healing. Then, she meets Jace Travers and the more Tara try’s to avoid him the harder it gets. Jace moved to Silver Gap, Colorado to become the Chief Deputy in order to avoid the memories of his wife and daughter. However, Jace is instantly intrigued by the sister of his Sheriff, Tara and her attempts at trying to avoid him just make him even keener to learn more about her. But when Tara’s past comes back to haunt her things turn deadly for them both.
I found myself immersed in this story and felt engaged with the characters all of whom were well defined, and I found the fiery and strong Tara who is a real survivor particularly likeable and relatable. I enjoyed the romance elements of the storyline and the chemistry between Tara and Jace did come across in the narrative. Quinn really made the characters and the setting come alive with her descriptive writing and the suspenseful plot moved the story along at a fast pace. I found that I could not put this book down and read late into the night, always a sign of a good book. I look forward to reading the previous book in ‘The Broken Bow’ series and any future ones.

Wildfire by Ashley A. Quinn is the second book in the Broken Bow series. This is the first book that I have read by this author so didn’t really know what to expect when it started it. What I got was a well written story with strong characters that really drew me in. I liked the suspenseful element to the book and how that was combined with the great chemistry between the two main characters.
After reading the description I wasn’t sure what direction the author might take with the book but I loved the track she went down. It was intriguing and gripping while also having an emotional side to it. I very much enjoyed this book and as the first by this author I thought I was a great was to be introduced to her.
