Unlikely to Fit (Parker Lake) by Olivia Sherwood – Review by Ashley Mandell

Unlikely to Fit (A Parker Lake Novel Book 2)Unlikely to Fit by Olivia Sherwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A story of small town love after heartbreak. The characters draw you in and have you laughing and crying throughout the book. Especially Griffin’s Meemaw! Reeling from a bad day at work and running into her ex-husband, Breckin has a girl’s night at Griff’s bar, where she gets hammered and Griff volunteers to bring her home. After a few run-ins with each other, the two begin hanging out, plan Griffin’s grandmother’s birthday party, and eventually are spending almost all of their free time together. When Breckin’s ex gets jealous of their relationship, he acts out of anger and does some serious damage. Can Breckin and Griffin overcome trouble and grief over their own pasts and move forward? This was an incredible book and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a sweet romance with a little bit of trouble!

The Girl and the Demon (The Girl and the Raven Book 3) by Pauline Gruber – Review by Ashley Mandell

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

While Jude’s away, the demons will play.
Lucifer’s taking a break on earth and Jude is left ruling the underworld in his place. Lucy has more challenges to deal with and her team is fighting an old evil that has returned with new tricks up his sleeve. There’s more drama, romance, a wedding, excitement, and of course, demon battles in this book. I’m only sad that we won’t get to see Lucy and Jude’s relationship grow more.

Alena’s mother is overprotective, so Alena keeps these friends a secret from her mother until a threat is revealed. Will she ever feel like she belongs? How will things change for her? And will she learn about all that her mother has kept hidden from her? Left with a cliffhanger, I immediately bought the rest of the series and can’t wait to dig in!

Unbreakable (The Diamonds, #1)Unbreakable by Tee Smith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Unbreakable is a dramatic, suspenseful, and heartwarming romance. It’s about new beginnings, redemption, and love just as much as it is about secrets, lies, and heartbreak. Everything in the plot ties together so well.
Erin and Ripper begin to fall in love before discovering they have more in common than they know. In the end, it’s what brings them closer together.
You’ll be left with a cliffhanger that has you reeling for more! I’m excited to see what happens in the rest of the Diamonds series!

Ryan's BedRyan’s Bed by Tijan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ryan’s Bed was so good that I finished it in one day. I’ve never read a book more relatable. This book invoked so many emotions from me. Mac’s story, especially the ending, is thought provoking and engaging. The plot twist at the end was a surprise. Tijan wrote this so well and put so much care into the storyline. She was considerate of how she chose to write about the main topic and did an excellent job at portraying the emotions surrounding it.

Lake of Flowers (Lord Hani #5)Lake of Flowers by N.L. Holmes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

While I don’t typically read books of this genre, I’m thankful that I gave Lake of Flowers a chance. N.L. Holmes did an excellent job of bringing the book to life by providing realistic details of the characters, setting, and era in which this story line takes place. Lord Hani is a wonderful character. I was instantly engaged in the story due to the banter between Hani and his family. I enjoyed reading about his family, travels, and the mystery that he must uncover in this installment of the Lord Hani Mysteries.
